Elena's POV

My eyes bounced between Klaus and Katherine as they eyed each, Klaus with his trademark smirk plastered on his face. Dean stood off to the side, eying Klaus with disdain.

"Klaus, would you be so kind and not antagonize Katherine. Whether we like it or not, we are all on the same side and fighting the same enemy. If the tracking hasn't been manipulated, Finn is placed about twenty miles outside of Beacon Hills. We can definitely expect there to be a trap awaiting us." I said as I stepped between the two of them, catching Klaus' attention.

"The only thing that concerns me is that unknown blood tie. I will not be surprised to find Esther where Finn is, meaning this is just another one of her tricks." Klaus stated, moving around the quaint living room. "If we can immobilize Esther, I can handle Finn without a problem."

"That's easier said than done. We are talking about a woman with the power to create a supernatural race. It would be suicide to go against her." Stefan argued.

"Not necessarily. Every being in this world has a weakness. There are no exceptions. Esther is a natural born witch, correct?" Giles countered, looking at Klaus for confirmation. Klaus shook his head 'yes'. "Which means she draws her magic from nature. There are very few spells that can stop the flow of nature, but it's not a spell that can target a person, but attacks the whole natural and supernatural world." Giles explained as he searched his leather bound tomes.

Everyone closed around the table as Giles flipped through a book. "How long does the spell last?" I asked.

"It can probably buy you… five minutes at the most. Any longer, we start to unbalance the natural order, like reapers and the last thing we need is bloody death on our heels, so if we do this, we have to be precise with our timing." Giles said, focus on reading the pages that he stopped on.

"That definitely gives us the advantage." Katherine mumbles, moving away from Klaus to the other side of the table.

"Yes and no. No, because you are part of nature. Your abilities will be halted as well, so in a way you'll become human. Though you might not notice it, you could possibly start aging. That's another reason we should keep this spell short." Giles added. He frowned as he looked around. "Where's Mr. Winchester?"

We literally all turned in unison, looking at the once filled spot by Dean. I groaned in annoyance as I ran outside to see not only was Dean nowhere to be found, but my car was gone as well. "Damn it! He's going to get himself killed." I muttered, not believing he slipped away with four vampires in the room.

"Giles, what will we need for that spell?" I asked, spinning in his direction.

"For the most part, we have most of what we need, but we will need…" Giles trailed off, disgruntled look on his face.

"What?" I edged closer to the steps.

"We will need a human soul." Giles said with a look on his face.

"A human soul?!" I asked, surprised by the answer that he gave me.

"It is one of the strongest natural energies there is and that is what the ritual requires."Giles explained.

Klaus sighed. "What is the problem? One of these nice towns people would do well for our purpose." Klaus said, leaning against the door.

Giles scoffed, mumbling "Vampires." ignoring the look that Klaus sent his way.

"We are not doing that!" I said, narrowing my eyes at Klaus, who just rolled his. I looked down the road, Dean long gone from here. My mind reflected back on Bonnie when she was controlling the Demon's head and an idea spark in me. "Maybe there is another way."

Sam's POV

I looked out the window, the last of the sun disappeared. I was startled out of my thoughts when Gabe spoke up. "Checkmate, Sam." I looked down at the chess board, confused that he got we for the third time.

"For someone who doesn't remember anything, you are surprisingly adept at chess." I commented, setting the board again.

Gabe smiled, handing over his pieces to me. "I don't remember who I am, but I still have the ability to learn. Why do you keep looking out the window?" Gabe asked, looking over to the window.

I huffed, sitting back in my chair. "Hoping that my brother won't do anything stupid. Gabe, is Finn holding you against your will?" I asked, watching the young boy fidget.

He frowned. "I honestly don't know. Finn is… familiar. Something about him I should remember, but I can't. This intense fog clouds my mind every time I force myself." Gabe explained, but he stopped as we both heard commotion coming from the otherside of the door.

I sighed with irritation when I recognized my brother's protest as they became louder as he got closer to the door. The door bust open, revealing two vampires I can assume manhandling my brother, whose face lit up when he saw me. "Sammy, good to see you." They threw Dean down on the floor, gruff groans left his mouth.

I'm sure the infamous bitchface was plastered over my features as I went over to help him up. "I knew my jackass brother's warning was going off. How the hell did you even find me?" I asked, wincing at swelling above his right eye.

Dean gave a smug smirk, dusting himself off. "I took an elbow to the face from a vampire and that is the first thing you say to me." Dean argued, doing his usual check up over me. Once he was satisfied with my condition, his eyes wandered over to Gabe, who looked between the two of us with wide eyes. "Who is the prison bait?" Dean questioned.

I gave him a look that he just shrugged at. "This is Gabe. It's not his real name, long story." I tried to explain, but once again we were interrupted when Finn Mikaelson walked through the door, giving a quick look over to Gabe, before turning his attention to us.

"Mr. Dean Winchester, your reputation precedes you." Finn says standing off with Dean.

I grabbed Dean's shoulder, stopping him from doing anything stupid. "And you are the pretentious bastard that not only kidnapped my brother, but trashed my car. I look forward to sending your ass to Hell where you belong." Dean griped, his hands tightly clenched in fists.

"Well Mr. Winchester, you won't be able to get your wishes anytime soon, but do behave until dear Elena shows up. If you do try to escape this room, your brother is programmed to kill himself, subsequently becoming a vampire, because he does have my blood circulating in his body." Finn stared down Dean.

Elena's POV

I pulled back from the vampire's mind, drained from using too much power. Blood dripped from my nose, causing me to wipe away with my sleeve. "You good, love?" Klaus asked, his hand on the middle of my back.

I sniffed, letting the dizziness die down before I got back up. "Yeah, just give me a moment." I said, looking around the dark forest.

"Why hasn't that power returned to nature after the kid's were born, Elena? How long have you been walking around like this?" Klaus asked, getting my attention.

I looked up at Klaus. "This is not the time to have this discussion, Klaus." I said, getting back to my feet. I stumbled, losing my vision for a split second. Klaus caught me, holding onto me until I got my balance.

"Does my brother even know about this?" Klaus asked.

"Which one?" I dodged the question, wiggling out of his hold.

Klaus glared, his wolf eyes lighting up. " Don't be cheeky, love. Haven't you gotten enough of keeping secrets? Were you just going to run yourself into the ground?" Klaus argued.

I sighed with annoyance, matching Klaus' stare. "I've tried everything to get this power out of me, Klaus. Since I can't, I will use this power to keep my family safe, even if it kills me. Like I said, we can have this conversation later." I said, Klaus and I having a stare off. Since he didn't push the issue, I continued, "From this vampire's memories, there has been no sign of Esther being around. There are probably about twenty more vampires walking the perimeter, though there was an alert put out about an intruder. Probably Dean." I explained.

Klaus looked around, before back to me. "And the extra familial tie? Did you see anything about that?" Klaus questioned.

I shook my head, pulling my hair back into a ponytail. "No, I've seen a few images of Finn, but no one familiar that I would recognize." I said.

Klaus nodded. "Leave my dear brother to me. Just worry about getting the brothers out." Klaus said, pulling out the Original Dagger, a sadistic glint in his eye. Klaus disappeared in a blink of an eye. Not long hearing someone being ripped apart.

"So much for an element of surprise." I said, moving to the North of the cabin. A speedy figure was coming from my left, so I bounced off the trees to come around the lunging figure, jumping onto his back. I thrusted my stake right through his back, stabbing his heart. I jumped off his back and kept moving. I spotted Stefan fighting another vampire not far out, but my eye caught a vampire that was sneaking up. Before I could launch into action, Katherine appeared from trees, snatching a female vampire head off. Stefan staked the vampire, tossing his body away from him.

"Do you sense anymore?" I said, catching up with the two.

Katherine shook her head, looking in the direction of the cabin. "I'm sure all of them are keeping Klaus busy." Katherine said.

We all ran to the cabin just in time to see the decapitated vampire body thrown through the cabin's walls. We walked across the field, ignoring the trail of dead bodies. I hopped up into the hole in the wall, walking against the crushed glass. I heard Klaus' rumbling chuckle from the back of the cabin. "Dear brother, break my heart this is what has become of us." I heard Klaus say, hearing no remorse.

I walked into the backroom, seeing Finn back against the wall, holding his neck. "Your penchant for violence Klaus cease to amazes me." Finn said. His eyes wandered over to me. "I'm surprised you called him."

I looked over to see Sam and Dean, standing over to the side. Sam was hovered over a body, only wavy, brown hair noticeable. "Family protects each other, nothing you would know nothing about. Whatever you hoped to accomplish here failed." I argued, standing next to Klaus.

Finn's lips spread into a smile. " Oh, I don't think I've failed yet. This comes down to who Klaus wants to save." Finn said, looking in the direction of the Winchester brothers.

Klaus rolled his eyes, not paying attention to Finn's implication. "You are truly mother's son. I tire of these games." Klaus flashed over to Finn, ready to use the dagger.

"STOP!" I said to Klaus, causing him to halt in his movements. "Who is that, Finn? When we tracked you, the spell tracked an additional familial tie." I said, catching Sam's eyes that were full of concern for the boy on the floor.

I walked over to Dean and Sam, squatting down to the young teen. He was slightly shaking as I turned him over, my eyes drawn to the bite mark that was on his neck, oozing blood. The wound smelled oddly of wolf venom. His skin was clammy as his expressive brown eyes were glossed over with pain. It striked me that this boy resembled a young Klaus. "Klaus… you might want to come over here." I said, not liking the dread that was in the pit of my stomach. I looked up when I heard footsteps stopped behind. It was as if the soul was sucked right out of Klaus as he stared down at the boy that struggled with the deep wound in his neck.

"Henrik…? How?" Klaus whispered, running over to the boy. I gasped at the words that left his mouth as Klaus hoisted the young boy onto his lap, holding onto him. Klaus muttered that it was okay over and over, before biting into his wrist to heal the young boy.

I looked to Finn, a painful expression on his face. "Henrik as in your youngest sibling?" I asked, looking between Klaus and Finn.

"What did you do?" Klaus growled, holding onto Henrik close to him as if he would slipped through his fingers like water.

"A contingency plan. Everything you do to me happens to him." Finn said, grabbing a shard glass and sliced at his hand. Henrik hissed at the hand, drawing it near to his body.

"I don't understand what is going on." Henrik mumbled.

"Him? Say his name, Finn. This is low even for you, Finn. How could you allow Esther to raise our dead brother and manipulate his body like this?" Klaus argued.

"You brought this upon yourself, Niklaus." Finn countered. Hearing enough, I put Finn asleep with a simple spell. His eyes drooped into a slumber as the room became quiet. I looked back to see that the spell had no effect on Henrik.

Niklaus frowned before turning his attention to Henrik. "Henrik… do you know who I am?" Klaus asked, looking down at his brother.

Henric looked back, his eyes roaming Klaus' face. "Can't say that I can." Henrik said.

Everyone got back to the house, turning in for the night. Sam lingered for a minute, debating whether to approach me. I gave a small smile to him. "I promise we can talk before you and Dean head out tomorrow. Get some sleep, Sam." I said. Sam nodded, before heading down the hall. I went to lock up until I saw Klaus sitting out on the front porch, moonlight beaming down on him.

I stepped out and sat next him, noticing the glossy eyes as he looked off in the distance. "I can't believe she would taint the only good that was in our family. Henrik was better off dead." Klaus mumbled, his eyes glowing bright. I saw some tears escape his eyes.

I moved closer, laying my head on his shoulder. "It was an accident, Klaus. You don't have to keep holding onto that guilt." I said.

"It was my job to protect him and I failed. When he yelled my name when he fell out of the tree… it's something time never let me forget." Niklaus said, his head leaning against mines.

"I can understand that. I know that I've failed Jeremy many times over and think about what I should have done differently. Even though you have the worst ways expressing how you've protected your other siblings over the centuries, I know you did everything you could to protect Henrik." I said. Klaus said nothing to agree or deny.

"Klaus… I would suggest carefully on how you handle Henrik. We don't know what Esther has done to him." I said.

"Yeah, he could be a sleeper agent playing right into Esther's hands. He could be funneling information and wouldn't know." Klaus explained. Silence followed for a few moments. "Are you going to tell Elijah?" Klaus asked, looking at me out the corner of his eye.

"Honestly? No, I wasn't. It is not going to change the outcome and we don't have the luxury to be splitting our attention, especially now that you have Henrik to worry about. Everything is going to be fine, Klaus." I said, getting up from the porch.

I walked to the door, before stopping. "Klaus, you've been granted a second chance. Don't waste it." I said, before heading off to my room.
