"You have had a very interesting life so far."

It was a statement and it didn`t require any form of an answer, but I still hummed in confirmation.

"Tell me more about this Cullens."

Again, a statement. I`m starting to think he only knows how to require things from others and not ask. Oh well, I`ll find out eventually.

I told him how I moved to Forks and met the Cullen "children" in the cafeteria, how I found out they`re cold ones and my relationship with Edward, if you can call it that. I told him all of the problems that occurred due to either their actions or themselves. I also mentioned James, Victoria and Laurent, as well as Edward`s behavior towards wolves. And most importantly about their gifts and my silent mind, to Edward at least.

"It seems to me as if this Edward person became possessive of you simply due to the fact he could not read your thoughts. He probably wanted to dominate you and posses you. He wasn`t interested in you as a person. His behavior regarding wolves was most likely because he thought they could sway you from him."

I looked at him in awe.

I took a step towards him and hugged him. He stiffed. I started sobbing.

"Thank you."

He relaxed and hugged me back.

"No problem. You`re going to me my sister officially soon. Always and forever."

Finn told me about that. 'Always and forever'. He… He considers me family.

I started sobbing harder. He just held me.

After I calmed down, I remembered something I didn`t tell him.

"Elijah."

"Yes?"

"I forgot to tell you something about Edward."

He didn`t say anything, but he did move a bit to look at me. He gave me his full attention.

"I`m his singer."

He went still. Not moving a single muscle.

Oh boy…. This is gonna be bad. For Edward. Which is completely ok with me. Aaaand he`s moving.

He had a gentlemanly smile on his face. One that wasn`t there before. One that even I, the person that barely knows him, know it is fake. He lifted one finger to show me he`ll be back soon and to wait for him. As soon as I nodded he left.

I have no idea where he went or what he did, but when he returned he had a look to him that resembled a cat that ate the canary. In situations such as this I`m glad he is on my side and that I`m not going against him.

"Do I want to know? Probably not. Can you just tell me who is on the receiving end of your…ire?"

"The cold ones you told me about. Edward Cullen is the main one."

I burst into giggles. Then I remembered.

"Oh! I just remembered! The reason I sought you out in the first place is to request your help in locating Alice and making her pay for what she did to Jasper! Will you help me?"

"What did you have in mind?"

In this moment I could see that no matter how different the brothers seem to be they are more alike than either of them is willing to admit. Because in this moment I could see Nik in Elijah, as well as a bit of Finn.

Hmmm….Something to pounder on.
