Hiya lovelies! I want to pick up speed with this story so sorry if a lot of this seems sudden from how it was written previously. Also, I realized this thing needs a lot of editing because my ass was hella lazy when I first started writing this.

Thanks to all those that dealt with my terrible grammar and shit beforehand because JESUS I still suck at it but like thank you for dealing with me.

All in all, I hope you all enjoy this! Much love!

"Which room do you think it is?" I shrugged as both Toby and I crotched low near a bush not too far away from the left side of the Nuñez Estate. We were waiting a few minutes since the lights near the front in the castle-like tower addition to the average house had only just gone out as we arrived.

"All I know is that it's not that one." I pointed toward the tower area windows. "I doubt they had just put their infant to bed." Toby shrugged at me as he pointed his gloved thumb over to the house.

"I would double-check it anyway. You never know. Maybe they had to calm him down after a midnight nightmare or something?" I nodded along after taking a second to think it over.

"Yeah. I guess I can do that. How much longer do you think we should wait?"

"I think you should go ahead."

"Okay, last-second run through if I get caught."

"Beg Claire for forgiveness?" I about facepalmed at Toby's comment if it wasn't for the spike of anxiety that spread through my chest.

"Don't make me have a panic attack." He placed his hands on my shoulders. He shook me lightly before pointing right into my face with his gloved index finger.

"Don't." He chuckled for a second before getting back into his serious mode. "Step one: Watch for light changes. Step two: Whistle twice. Step Three: I run with bikes like an idiot."

"That's your steps."

"Exactly. But your job is to talk your way out of it or just running like a mad man." I felt myself smile lightly at him as I held my fist out towards him.

"Thanks, Tobes. Always the best in anxious moments." He knocked my fist lightly.

"No prob, Jimbo. You know you love me, so don't act like you don't." I stood up and made sure the gaggletack was hooked on my thigh by a makeshift strap we found to fasten it there. When I went up to the house, I used the porch lining on the left side to pull myself up onto the roof. I tried my best to walk slowly towards the room that had been the last one with activity prior. I crotched low before reaching the window so that I could blend into the darkness as much as the moonlight was willing to allow. With a small peek into the window, I could almost instantly tell it wasn't Enrique's nursery. It was rather dark to gather too many details, but the small bag hanging off the twin-sized bed that was up against the wall to my left was enough for me to understand that it was Claire's room instead of Enrique's. I pushed myself away from the window to make my way under the windowsill and made my way over to the left side of the front of the house. It was a little tricky due to how the roof turned to a slant under the left side's main window, but I somehow was able to pull myself up to see into the window.

Small wooden crip and a changing table? Bingo. Now to get this damn thing open.

I pushed up on the inner window panel, pushing it lightly as I tried to raise it slightly. It slid with a little bit of ease so that I could push it up with my hand once there was enough room to do so. I pushed myself up against the house as I reached up and locked the window in place.

With how they just got their child back, you would think they would double-check the fact their window would be locked.

I grabbed both sides of the inside of the window so I could pull myself in. I twisted, trying to get myself to sit on the windowsill to plant my feet onto the floor, but when had life ever decided to be kind to me?

I groaned as I pushed myself up off the floor as I watched the door leading into the nursery, ready to jump out the window at the slightest indication of someone noticing the thud that my fall caused. I dusted myself off as I sighed with relief, looking over to the infant to see that he didn't even seem to notice the commotion. I unstrapped the gaggletack from the strap we created.

Alright, buddy. Let's see if our assumptions were correct.

I stepped slowly towards the crib and leaned over the side. When I was about to touch the infant with the totem, his eyes opened wide to reveal themselves as bright yellow ones instead of the brown ones I had met acquaintance with not long before. As if out of instinct, I tapped the child with the gaggletack, which caused the child to warp into a small green creature with dark hair and a sizeable sharp-toothed smile. Instantly, the changeling lunged into my face. I stumbled back, but I made sure the totem was still in my hand as I fought the creature back.

"How are you doing, fleshy? I knew there was something off about you." The changeling chuckled as he tried to claw off my mask. I grabbed him by his waist and held him out right before me, shaking my head slightly from the sudden attacks to my face.

"I'm not here to fight you." This caused the creature to look at me for a moment before he started laughing at me.

"That was a good one. What now? You're going to do some stand-up?"

"I'm serious. If I wanted to rid of you, I could have done it already."

"And what? Hurt my sister?" He seemed to catch on to my sudden silence as he gave me a wide smile. "If only I could see your face!"

"Shush. Do you want people to see you?"

"I won't be the only one getting in trouble."

"Yeah, but you would lose a rather cushy life." This caused the changeling to look at me as if I was stupid.

"Mate, you think I'm worried about that? Do you know what the Janus Order is going to do with me now that someone knows my identity? It's to the Darklands for my ass."

"Then how about we make a deal?"

"What are you crafting, human?"

"I won't let anyone else know of your identity."

"Go on."

"If you be my inside to the Janus Order." He started laughing lightly, slapping his hand on mine and the gaggletack before wiping his left eye with his hand.

"You're a funny one, fleshling." I waited, letting my silence showcase my seriousness. "Oh. This is actually what you want out of me? Do you know what that means for me if they find out?"

"Would you rather it happen now or later?" The changeling contemplated for a moment as starred off in the opposite direction. He then looked up to me for a moment before speaking once more.

"And how do you think that will play out? How will we even have contact? Did you not think this through, human?"

"How do you go out to see the Janus Order? Just the same thing. I'll meet you at night in the bushes to the left of this window."

"Fine. I can't seem to get out of this, and you have," He pointed down to the gaggletack once more. "That thing. So it's not like I can even change back at this moment." He crossed his arms over his chest. "How do I know you won't rat me out?"

"I won't. As long as you come to the bushes every other night, your secret is safe with me."

"Alright. You going to put me down now?"

"Matters, are you going to start crying or anything?"

"Do I look like I have the upper hand in this situation?" I smiled at the changeling as I walked over and put him down in his crib.

"You know, I think we might be friends if this keeps going in the right direction."

"I might just be a dead changeling if this goes in the wrong direction, so I rather have us go on the friend path. I can see you next nightfall." I hooked the gaggletack back onto the strap as I made my way back to the window. "Oh, human." I looked over to the changeling who was grabbing at the side of his crib. "You should learn how to sneak around more. That thud could have caused us some problems." I smiled towards the infant in disguise as I put my leg through the window, sitting on the windowsill for a second before speaking to him one last time.

"If I stay here any longer there-"

Suddenly the door had flung open, and I instantly threw myself out the window, pushing myself up against the underside of the window as the light flipped on.

"What was that?" I froze at Claire's voice as I pushed myself up against the underside of the windowsill. I heard her footsteps creak against the wood as she neared the window.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

I saw her hands appear on the windowsill before the sound of crying seemed to stop herself from looking out there. Instead, she shut the open window as I heard the lock was put in place. I sighed, laying flat against the roof as I placed a hand on my chest.

Thank you, Not-Enrique. Or whatever I should call you.

I laid there, tapping my fingers on my chest until I saw the light shut off within the room. Slowly, I pushed myself up to my feet and walked slowly over to where I came from, jumping down to the ground below me. I walked over to where Toby was hiding before bringing up my mask slightly to show him a wide smile.

"Oh shit, it worked?"

"From what I know so far, yes. He knew that it was me, though."

"Even with the mask?" I shrugged as I brought my mask back down just in case.

"To be honest, I have not a single care on how he was able to at the moment. I'm grateful he just agreed. I told him we could meet every two days, but he said he'd speak with us tomorrow."

"So, we're coming back tomorrow?" I nodded my head as I headed towards where we hid our bikes in the thick forestry beside the house.

"You got it, Tobes." I propped up my bike and swung my leg over it so I could sit on the bike seat. "Ready to head to Troll Market? If we get the check-in done fast enough, we might get some extra rest."

"An early night? Really? Did Christmas come early?"

"Don't make me feel as if we need extra training." I pointed my finger at Toby as I pushed my bike to start our way towards Troll Market.

"Hey! Wait for me!"

"Hurry up, Tobes! You're the one that wants some extra rest."

I heard him grumble behind me as I knew he was grabbing his bike, trying to catch up with me as I made a little distance away from him.

"So, you're stating that you're a duel spy?" I swallowed hard as Bular leaned in close to my face. His dark stoned skin being a stark contrast to my own. "How do we not know you're just working with him? What stops me from not swallowing you whole right this moment, impure?"

"Maybe the fact that I can use this to our advantage?"

"And how would that be?"

"I can find out this fleshlings weakness. What makes him tick, where he is, as well as where he's been hiding out at."

"What is this all about?" I looked over to see that Bular's favorite changeling had joined along with us in the conversation.

"The new impure says that he's been asked by the Trollhunter to be his eyes on the inside," Bular growled out the statement in a low voice as he glanced over to Stricklander. "He has still yet to give me a good enough reason to not feed my hunger for some flesh." Stricklander placed a hand on the Gum-Gum, looking as if the gesture meant nothing as the massive troll turned his head at a neck-breaking speed.

"I assure you, Master Bular, we can use this to our liking." The human-looking creature gave me a sickenly wide smile as he looked over to me. "What are your plans with this unforeseen advantage?"

"I believed we could use this to understand where he's at. What his weaknesses are."

Also who.

I kept that thought to myself, a unique action to my usual antiques as I gave him a cheeky grin. "This could help us get that amulet so much faster than just sneaking around the kid."

"I happily agree." Stricklander put his hands behind his back as he looked towards Bular. "This could be our ticket to bringing this new Trollhunter to his new end."

"Then, you should both know that there is no amulet with this Trollhunter." Stricklander gave Bular a raised eyebrow as the Gum-Gum spoke.

"What do you mean by that, Master Bular?"

"Are all of you changelings deaf? Have you not listened when I spoke to all of you about the power this Trollhunter has? He is not just the Trollhunter. He is the Eclipse. Much more than any Trollhunter before him." Bular's voice raised slowly as he glared down at his right-hand man. "Do none of your impures understand the stories and legends of your kind? Do none of you care?"

"That is why I must have this interaction with the Trollhunter." This caused the giant troll to turn his attention to me. "We have never heard of this occurrence before. We have never had the possibility due to the lack of your kind, Master. Learning more about the reality of this Eclipse will work wonderfully in our favor." Bular's red eyes scanned me as if he was sizing me up for a meal before he gave me a small hum.

"I agree with this." He pointed one of his large blades towards me within a single second as the sound of it coming out of its scaffold rung within the room as it was pointing towards my neck. "But if you don't get much information from this human, I want to know when will be the perfect time to slay them myself." I nodded quickly towards the Gum-Gum as I placed a hand on my chest.

"You've got my loyal word, Master." I watched as the Gum-Gum placed his sword back into its confinements as Stricklander walked beside him as they exited the area together, but instead of the fear, I would typically feel when interacting with the two of them, two thoughts rang through my head.

What in the bloody hell did I just sign up for?

Why was I so hesitant to out the girl the Trollhunter seems to care so much about?

I swung towards the massive troll with my sword, which caused him to roll away from me with ease, but due to this, his area of where he was going to swing at me from was clear. I rolled over my shoulder, dodging his swing as I readied myself once I was back on my feet, tightening my grip on the handle of my sword.

"Nice recover, Eclipse." The turquoise troll gave me a slanted grin, which was oddly infectious as I found myself grinning back at the large troll. He brought down his fist as I brought my sword up to block his attack as I placed pressure on the part where he was putting the most pressure down towards the blade. It pushed me back some, but I was able to steady myself. As he tried to push forward, I dropped my sword from my defensive position, lunging towards my right as he dashed forward. But as if knowing which direction I was going, he swung his left fist backward as he went ahead, swiping me off my feet and causing me to skip across the grass like a stone on a pond. I groaned a little as I felt the troll's steps meet where I was lying. "You alright there, little one?" I pushed myself up, much like I had the night before as I put my sword in my scaffold.

"I'm alright. It's not the first time I have been knocked on my butt. I feel like I might as broke something, though." I shook through my limbs lightly.

"Are you sure, fleshling? When we battled, you were so much more agile and creative with your techniques. Is there something your mind is meddling on?" I sighed as I dusted off my armor lightly as I realized grass had gotten stuck in some of the crevices of the metal pieces.

"Well. A little."

The idea that I have to meet a changeling that is the fake brother to the girl I have to practice kiss in a few days has been dancing around my head the whole day. Would that be something I should say to a man that I forced out of his home? Would my troubles be comparable to his?

"If you need to speak of your troubles, I promise my ears are always willing to listen."

Well. I might as well be honest. At least in the slightest amounts.

"Um, I have this thing that has been rattling my brain for a little bit. There's this girl that I know I have to kiss for this play we're within, but I'm a little worried since I want to, hopefully, get more than just the one from her in the future." I rubbed the back of my neck with the metal cooling the light warmth that was growing on the skin there. Pink was shining from the armor as I spoke, letting my emotions be clear to anyone that understood the color's meaning.

"I have had my run with issues with romances. I had loved an impure when I was younger." He looked off for a moment as the pain I could just feel from his words echoed how the events had ended for him. "But what is this 'kiss' that you speak of?"

"Oh! Um," I felt my face flush at the idea of having to describe it in such a way that it would do the action justice. "Its went two people that love each other, put their lips to each other's to showcase how much they care for each other to each other. The more love that is put into it, the longer they can be. It could last seconds or even hours, mattering on the people in question."

"Sounds barbaric and torturesome." He looked at me as if I was insane. "What kind of disgusting action could showcase how you care for someone?" I found myself laughing lightly to Draal's reaction.

Wow. That sounds like how I used to be when I was younger.

"But, it seems you lack confidence." I gave him a confused look as his voice turned serious. "You know, Gum-Gums used a totem that helped them with this. It's called a Grit-Shaka. It would give them the confidence they needed in battle. I have one actually if you desire it."

Another totem? I had enough trouble with the first one.

"Um, I'll keep it in mind, but no thank you at the moment. I've been told my emotions are what power me as the Eclipse. At least, that's what Blinky has described it as. If I mess with it, how would it affect the crystal? How would it affect me?" Draal gave me wide eyes as a smile started to spread across his face.

"You are rather wise for such a small creature."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"You should. Are you ready to begin training once more? Has the talk cleared your mind?"

"Yes. Thank you, Draal."

"You're welcome, Jim. Now, I will not hold back on you." I gave him a wide smile as I pulled my sword out from its hostler.

"I wouldn't imagine anything else."

I sat under one of the trees over by the Nuñez Estate as the crescent moon was high above Toby and I. We agreed to stick with our dark clothes for these encounters with our new changeling acquaintance. It was probably our best idea since there was at least one light left to shut off within the house until midnight struck. After a few minutes, the small figure of the changelings made his way across the small roof gap and down the gutter's drain with ease before approaching us through the forestry line. I stood up instantly and nodded my head to him as he came near.

"It seems you kept your word."

"Kind of hard to not to when that's my existence is made for." He crossed his arms as he looked up to me. "Us changelings are made as loyal servants to Gunmar the Black and Bular the Butcher. If we stray just the slightest, we're used as a nighttime snack to Bular."

"Well, due to how we know a few trolls personally, we were told that in good faith that bringing a gift to you would start this little set up well." I smiled as I looked over to Toby. "You're up, my friend." Toby gave me a broad smile as he pulled out a sock from his pocket.

"We were told you guys like this kind of stuff." I felt a smile appear on my face as the changeling looked at the treat like it was comparable to the apple of Edin. Toby gave it to the smaller creature as said being licked his lips.

"Alrighty, I think I might like you two for the time being."

"I hope so." I crossed my arms as I leaned against the tree I was sitting under earlier. "Anything you have for us as of today?"

"Other than the fact Bular is itching to pull that crystal from you as soon as possible? Nothing much." He took a bite out of the sock as if it was nothing. "Oh, and that the Janus Order now understand more about what you are and what they have to look for to find you." I narrowed my eyes to the creature as he continued talking with his mouth full. "Like, they were looking for a human with the amulet. Now since Bular found out they had no clue what they were looking for, he treated us like mindless drones before teaching us about what in Gunmar's name you are. They understand they're looking for a human with that necklace of yours." I placed a hand on my chest, feeling the crystal under my shirt as I kept my eyes on the changeling.

"What did you mean by what to look for? Is the crystal all they know of?"

"From what I know, yes." He guzzled the rest of the sock with a happy sigh as he stuck his tongue out before instantly going into a wide toothy smile that showcased his sharp teeth. He pointed towards me before he spoke again. "You gotta remember here, mate. I'm just a newbie in their ranks. They're not going to let me in on much unless it's known to the whole group or something I'm supposed to do specifically." I shared a look with Toby before he almost instantly looked back to the changeling.

"I have a question for you. It's a rather stupid one, but I don't care at this point."

"Whatcha got, Tubby?"

"Don't call me that." Toby glared at him. "What do you want us to call you? Do you have a name at all?"

"It's Enrique Nuñez. Changelings are only called by who they replace. I know that might be uncomfortable for you fleshlings, but that's it."

"Can we call you NotEnrique then? As you said, it's a little uncomfortable for us to call you by the actual Enrique's name." Not-Enrique gave him a cheeky smile as he sat on the grass in his diaper.

"Whatever you want, Tons-of-Fun."

"Seriously, don't call me that. That or the sock you just had will be the last." This only caused the small green creature to chuckle at Toby's anger. I looked over to NotEnrique before the two of them could start a fight between each other.

"Is there anything else we need to know of?" He tapped on his chin, looking up to his left as he seemed to be in thought.

"Not that I'm aware of, at least." He looked back to us as his yellow eyes had a somehow happy glow to them. "Are there any more questions you flesh bags have for me?"

"Why are you willing to help us so easily? You could have stated that no one would believe us or anything instead of lending a hand. So why help us? Why meet with us?" The changeling shrugged for a moment before bringing himself up to his feet.

"I'm rather neutral with it all. If Gunmar gets let out, my cushy life, as you called it, will be over with. But if he doesn't, I get stuck in between this crap even more." He turned from us, facing towards the house once more. "There's nothing more than that. Other than I rather not get eaten or thrown back into the Darklands." He turned his head over his shoulder, the moonlight causing his red irises to look like blood as he smiled sickenly towards us. "Also, I might find some enjoyment from torturing you two." He waved his hand up as he turned back to the house, already stepping slowly toward the Nuñez Estate. "Night flesh bags, see you the night after tomorrow. Oh, bring another sock, will ya? The human food is doing nothing for my cravings, and if I have to go back to a plain milk diet once more, I might lose my marbles." He scurried his way with little to no effort climbing his way up the gutter's drainage pipe once more and finding his way to his nursery as if he has done it a million times already.

"That little bottle breathed gremlin is going to be the death of me." I looked over to Toby as I couldn't help the small fit of laughter that found it's way out of me.

"I was thinking the same thing. Not about calling him a 'bottle breathed gremlin,' but the 'death of me' part."

I groaned as the sunlight led into my room and blinded me slightly as I put my hand up to block it slightly. I was quite amused since I had an actual pajama shirt on instead of just crashing into bed with my jeans and t-shirt as I have been as of recent. A knock on my door caused me to almost instantly shoot straight up as my mother came waltzing into the room with a tray in her hands.

"Good morning, birthday boy!" I smiled at my mom warmingly as a thought raced through my head.

Is it my sixteenth birthday? I know I never cared for my birthday much, but everything seems as if it's going by so fast. It feels as if only a week ago, I got the necklace.

"Thanks, mom." She placed the tray in my lap that had her smiley face pancakes that, even though I knew they were painfully tasteless, I knew I was going to finish to make her happy. I felt a hand place itself through my hair as she placed a kiss on top of my head.

"Finish up my special pancake breakfast, and I'll see you downstairs for your gift." She got up with a smile and started walking her way out of my room. She leaned back with the door frame in her hand as a smirk was on her face before speaking once more. "And don't eat too fast. We don't need you choking on your special day." As she leaves, I look back down to the pancakes, the smile now turning into a slight frown before I started digging into the meal.

After I finished the breakfast, I did my usual routine before heading downstairs with the dishes I had used and placed them in the sink, so see my mom leaning against the door leaning against the garage.

"Ready for your surprise?"

Please be the Vespa I've been hinting at. Even though my bike is fine, my legs have been like jello since the addition of Trollhunting duties. Poor things need a break.

I flashed her a smile while giving her a simple nod as she headed into the garage. I followed her quickly after grabbing my school bag, which was hanging off its regular spot at the end of the stair rail.

"Ta-da!" She presented me with a red blender.

Oh. The Food Magic thing I wanted. Not going to help me with the exhaustion, but it'll help me with cooking my dread down the drain.

I smiled up at her and took it into my hands. "Thanks, mom." Were the only words I can get out. As if instantly realizing that I was hoping for something else, she placed a hand on my cheek.

"I know you wished for a Vespa, and I promise we'll get you one at some point, but you have to understand my hesitance with those things. I see kids in the ER from accidents on them all the time." I felt my face soften as I glanced up at her while placing a hand on top of hers.

"I understand. Truly. I wanted this as well, so everything's good on my end." This only caused her to smile widely at me as her other hand toyed with my hair like she did when I was a kid.

"When did I get such an understanding, son?"

"When you raised him that way." This caused a small laugh from my mother as Toby pulled up the driveway to the garage door I didn't notice open.

"Hiya, Dr.L! Happy birthday Jimbo!" He gave both of us wide smiles as approached, coming to a stop right before entering the garage. "Grab your bike, Jim. We've got something I wanna do before heading to school." I looked over to my mom before placing the blender on the tool bench.

"Mind putting that in the kitchen for me, mom?"

"I wouldn't mind at all." She pulled me into a hug, which I instantly reciprocated. "Have a good day." I pulled back with a smile as I went over to grab my bike.

"I'll try my best." I put my helmet before swinging my leg over my bike, ready to ride off with my overly enthusiastic friend. "Love you!" I called out to her as Toby, and I started our way towards wherever it was that he wanted to stop.

"Love you! Stay safe!"

I looked around Blinky's library, seeing the small amounts of decorations before giving Toby a knowing look, which only gave me a giant smile in reply.

He told them. Wonderful.

"What a wonderful day it is for you, Master Jim!" Blinky smiled as he placed each of his four hands on my arms, two on each side, as he shook me lightly. He pulled me into a hug and squeezed me gently. It was apparent he made an account for the fact that I was flesh against his rock skin. When he pulled back from me, AAARRRGGHH took the chance to pick me and do the same, but with my feet a few feet off the ground.

"Happy day for Jim." I smiled as I found myself laughing lightly at them.

"What is all of this?" I turned my head towards Vendel, who was poking at the decorations with his staff. "We don't need any distractions for the Eclipse. His training is the priority." AAARRRGGHH put me down with a small nod as Blinky took control of the situation.

"His morning training will begin in a second. You don't have to worry to threat about, Vendel." I looked over to Vendel and gave him a small bow.

"Yes. You have nothing to worry about, Master Vendel." The elder troll smiled at me as he patted my head, the stone causing my head to puck under its weight as he left the room.

"Old Goat. Always ruining the fun." I chuckled a little at Blinky.

"Well, might as well keep to our promise." I looked over to AAARRRGGHH, who was smiling down at me. "Ready, AAARRRGGHH." The troll only gave me a nod with a small grunt as he started pounding his way towards the Hero's Forge. I gave Blinky and Toby a small smile before dashing off after him, knowing my best friend would tell me when we should leave.

"Why did you tell them about my birthday?" I looked over to Toby with a sad look as I closed my locker door.

"Why not? They're apart of our daily life now. I think they deserve to know." I smiled at Tobes as he continued. "Also, I figured they needed to know, so if you're a little down or something, then they understand, you know?" I nodded my head as I now knew exactly why he had told them.

"That's understandable." I looked over to him as we continued walking through the hallway. "Just tell me you didn't tell anyone else."

"Hey! Jimmy Jam!" My head snapped forward, seeing that Claire and two of her friends, Mary and Darci, were standing around Mary's locker. "Happy birthday!" I smiled as I waved to them.

"Thanks, girls." Claire moved from the locker she was leaning against slightly as she smiled at me.

"Why didn't you say your birthday was coming up? Sucks I had to learn from Toby the day of when we've been working together." I glared over to Toby, who just whistled lightly while staring off in the opposite direction. I brought my attention back to Claire, who I gave a sheepish smile to her.

"Sorry. I don't think it's anything huge." This caused her eyebrows to arch up in response.

"Really? That's a shame. I would have brought you something otherwise." I scratched the back of my neck nervously, feeling the necklace heat up against my skin as a burning sensation took over the tips of my ears.

"It's nothing to worry about, seriously." I gave her the best smile I could muster while the feeling of being embarrassed filled my veins. I looked over to Mary and Darci, who had matching smiles on their face that seemed to just scream that they knew more than they were leading on. Before anyone else could dig into me, though, the warning bell rang.

Saved by the bell.

I smiled as I dropped my hand down by my side. "Thanks, though. It means a lot. I'll talk to you later." Claire gave me a slanted grin as Darci joined her side.

"Definitely. See you." I turned to walk towards my Spanish class, looking at Toby as if I was going to murder him as I walked past him. The smaller teen who knew I wasn't going to harm him even if I desperately wanted to only smiled at me as he started walking towards his respective class.

This is going to be one hell of a day.

I heard a rummage from my right, causing my head to turn towards the sound only to see a grey scaled tail swipe around the corner with high speed. I swallowed hard as I heard Mary's voice called out after me.

"Hey! Do you want Señor Uhl to jump you about being late? Come on!" I kept my eyes on where the tale slithered off as I continued my walk towards my Spanish class, turning my focus before me as I jogged to catch up with Mary.

A hell of a day indeed.
