This is it. Welcome to the last chapter of "A Light in the Darkness". It's been quite a fun ride, but "Everything that has a beginning, has an end", and now is time to see how the story of these two lovestruck heroes will end. I'll save the thanks for the end of the chapter; so for now, let's get to the good stuff!

SPIDER-MAN AND KITTY PRYDE: A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
Final Chapter: Farewells and Proclamations
The enemies have been defeated, the bomb has been deactivated and the battle has been won. Is all over for the bad guys and the good guys can rejoice and relax after a hard fight, so all that is left to do is serve the villains to justice and ensure they receive their respective punishments.
Spider-Man and Kate Pryde descend from the Helipad of Fisk Tower via web-swinging, surrounding the tower as they go down until they reach the ground floor where the NYPD is already interrogating some of the remaining Task Force agents of Fisk for cooperation. Once Spidey and Kate land, they see a group of Bomb Squad agents passing by and then Teresa and Franklin approach the heroic duo.
"Nightcrawler just gave us the news; you managed to deactivate the bomb" Teresa comments to the duo.
"It was a huge stroke of luck" Kate jokes "but fortunately, Spidey was at hand to assist" she comments, then she approaches Teresa to give her an appreciative hug "Thank you for coming".
"I'm not bailing out on my friend and roommate" Teresa replies "yes, I still want you to be my roommate, I don't give a crap" she jokes, laughing together. Then Kate looks at Franklin, smiling at him for his help and approaches to the young hero to hug him.
"Never thought you'd be part of the action Frankie, but I'm so grateful for that" Kate comments and then looks at him with a little bit of concern "But, what about your powers?"
"I know I'm still losing them, but it was worth it" Franklin replies, smiling at his close friend "Uncle Pete gave me the chance and I took it" he comments looking at the two of them "you guys should've seen it, I was knocking them out!" he adds, excited about his performance on the field.
"I can vouch for it; he proved why he is a Powerhouse" Teresa replies, playfully ruffling Franklin's hair.
"And what about Ock?" Spidey asks, but then he sees a group of agents setting up a shackled and cuffed Octavius being loaded into a prison truck, with his damaged tentacles being loaded aside "Never mind"
"There he is!" suddenly, Boomerang comes from behind slapping Spidey's back "The hero of the moment" he then looks at Teresa, then at Franklin but then he freezes when he sees at Kate, looking at her with her classic X-Men uniform for the first time "Wait…Kate? Kate!?" he asks, looking shocked at the revelation "You're one of the X-Men!?"
"Now's when this nudnik realizes it? Kate asks with a deadpan tone on her voice.
"You've been helpful Boomerang" Spidey replies "For the very first time, ever" he mutters under his teeth.
The celebration is cut short, however, when the Mayor himself Wilson Fisk comes out of the tower, walking towards the police officers working on the investigation, but he is intercepted by the detective in charge, an adult woman, late thirties, African-American, wearing the standard buttoned shirt and dress pants attire, with her badge clipped on her belt.
"I demand to know where is Shinobi Shaw and his acolytes" Fisk asks with a serious, yet angry tone on his voice.
"Shaw and the Upstarts were dispatched by the X-Men, sir" the detective replies "Being mutants, and from an independent country, they must be trialed by their own peers, according to their laws" she explains to him.
"And you are?" Fisk asks her, looking straight into her eyes.
"Detective Shari Sebbens, I'm in charge of the Octavius investigation" she replies to the Mayor.
"Then congratulations on closing the case" Fisk responds, and then walks to the truck where Octavius is being loaded, passing by the group of heroes. He looks with a scorn at Spidey and Kate, but he then relents and fakes a gesture of appreciation to the assembled heroes, knowing that the media is watching, and then he heads to the truck, looking at the fallen Doctor Octopus straight into his face, showing a triumphant smirk on his face.
"Fisk…" Otto mutters as he looks at the Kingpin standing in front of him.
"I told you Otto, that if you tried to pull your tricks, you'd fall" Fisk comments, looking straight into Octavius' eyes "Now, I know that you won't last incarcerated for good, but I really hope you learned the lesson…if you want to pull your tricks in another state, go ahead, but is you ever do that in my city…you will fail" he changes his tone into a more menacing one, but to his surprise, Octavius begins to laugh at his threats.
"Oh Wilson, your ego has grown even bigger since you became the Mayor" Otto comments "But I will take your advice and stay away from New York, but you should mark my words…you won't be sitting in your throne forever Wilson, and when the day of your inevitable downfall comes, I'll be there" he responds with a wicked grin, prompting Fisk to frown his face and step back from the vehicle.
"Make sure he leaves this city" Fisk tells to the driver and then walks towards his assistant Wesley "I want to revise every information the media releases about this, make sure I'm not associated with any mutant"
"Does that mean we're shutting down the deal with the Hellfire Trading Company?" Wesley asks his boss.
"Not yet" Fisk replies "I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of them" he comments while he begins to leave the scene. The vehicle leaves the location and the police continue to do their job, while the assembled heroes look on.
"Well, this has been quite fun, but we should be going" Spidey comments to his friends, with Kate nodding her head.
"Yes, the rest of the guys are at the Krakoan gate in Washington Square Park, so we should be going" Kate comments, bidding her farewell to her friends, hugging Teresa and Franklin and gesturing with her head as a salute to Boomerang.
"Adios, amigos!" Spidey shoots a web-line while Kate holds on to him and they both head out web-swinging from the site, leaving the three heroes alone, but right then, Boomerang walks towards Teresa.
"So, Pete's sister is a superhero, eh?" Boomerang checks her out from top to bottom, showing a smirk on his face "You know? We should go celebrate our outstanding victory over the…" his words are interrupted when Teresa grabs him from the collar of his suit and looks at him with a deadly glare.
"Listen to me Myers; if you even think about making a pass at me, I swear to God I'll taser you 'Down Under' and believe me, I have the authority to do so" Teresa replies with a threatening tone, leaving Boomerang slightly frightened of her words.
"Duly noted" Boomerang replies with a squeaky voice and right then Teresa releases him "Well…since you don't want to drink" he points at Teresa "and you can't drink" he then points at Franklin "then I will head out for my celebratory round of drinks so, see you later!" he begins to walk away and then activates his rocket boots so he could leave the scene.
"Ugh…he may be useful from time to time, but he's so annoying" Teresa comments out loud, to which Franklin nods his head in response "I really meant when I said you worked very well out there Franklin, I'm truly impressed" she compliments to him.
"Well…Uncle Pete is one of my inspirations, alongside my family that is" Franklin blushes, scratching the back of his head.
"Come on, I'll escort you back home" Teresa gestures with her head so they could also leave.
"Sure" Franklin replies, walking away with Teresa "I hope Uncle Pete and Kitty stay together, they really look like a cute couple"
"Frankie, you're not the only one rooting for them" Teresa replies, sharing the same feeling the young hero does.
AT WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK
After a while web-swinging, Spidey and Kate manage to reach Washington Square Park, right where the Krakoan gate is located and with the mutant crew waiting for them. Shinobi and the Upstarts are all wrapped up in the same power-nullifying Krakoan Vines the Red King used against Kate, with the Marauders keeping hold on them.
They both land a few feet away keeping a distance, which Kate wonders why, looking a bit confused at Spidey, who then replies to her.
"This is your moment with them, Kate" he tells her kindly "You're the one who should be sharing with them" he tells her, prompting her to smile at him.
"I'll be back, 'cause I still have to tell you something" she tells him, kissing him on his cheek and then approaching to the group who are waiting for her.
Kate can't help but smile when she sees the large group of people who came for her, even when she was wracked with sadness when she left Krakoa feeling they did nor cared about her or her condition, they proved they are still her friends and they still care about her.
She first approaches Storm, giving her a warm hug as a thank you for helping her out, then she does the same with Wolverine, who after a few seconds decides to return the hug. Kate later approaches her close friends Iceman and Nightcrawler, hugging them both at the same time, then she shakes hands with Bishop, saluting him for his duty and accepting his apology, then she looks at Pyro who opens his arms waiting for a hug, but she instead just pats his shoulder a couple of times, then she is intercepted by Lockheed, her lifelong companion, whom she gives a very affectionate hug.
"I missed you so much, buddy" Kate whispers to her draconian friend and then looks at Emma Frost, who simply smiles at her. Kate approaches her and after a few seconds, they both hug each other, becoming teary-eyed as she becomes overwhelmed with emotion after being reunited with her longtime friends "I can't believe you guys came for me" she comments, looking at the assembled group "I thought after all that happened…"
"Kiddo" Wolverine interjects "If you thought you were alone, you're wrong" he comments looking at her "All we needed was a cold shower and the proverbial slap to the face to snap outta the funk".
"We were always there for you Kätschen" Kurt kindly comments, to which Kate nods in response.
"I know that Kurt" she replies and then looks at Storm "Ororo told me what you guys did after I left, how you guys kept tabs on me and helped me arrive here…and I'll always be grateful for that" she smiles at them, trying to keep the tears falling.
"Just so you know Kate, keeping tabs on you from around the world was exhausting…" Emma comments in her typical snobbish tone "but it was totally worth it" she then smiles at her "and I have to thank you for dealing with Shinobi and his even sadder iteration of his Upstarts".
"Actually, Spidey was the one who fought and beat Shinobi" Kate points out "I dealt with Doc Ock" she adds "For a so-called 'Doctor', he's very Izhkabibble in the head" she laughs after that comment.
"The only detail left is whatever will happen with Wilson Fisk" Bishop comments, but Emma steps in to respond.
"Leave Fisk to me" Emma replies "Let the Kingpin of Crime discover how persuasive the White Queen can be".
"Regardless, I' say that we have dealt with a very dire situation and ended up with a big win" Iceman comments at the group "All thanks to our true Captain, Kate Pryde"
"And I couldn't agree more" a voice is heard in the premises, and everyone looks at the Krakoan Gate activating, seeing that the man who spoke is none other than Charles Xavier himself "A job well done, from all of you" he says as he walks towards the Marauders "Marauders, you have proven to be the true heroes of Krakoa fighting for mutantkind and for that, Krakoa thanks you" he smiles at them and then looks at the Upstarts "Shinobi, conspiring against your fellow mutant?" he asks, but Shinobi simply scowls at him in silence "I guess the apple really doesn't fall that far from the tree" he then looks back at the Marauders "You can take them away".
Right then, the Marauders proceed to enter the Krakoan Gate with their prisoners in tow; Iceman holding the Von Strucker twins, Bishop holding Fitzroy, Pyro holding Siena, Nightcrawler holding Leland and Emma holding Shinobi, while Lockheed escorts them, keeping an eye from above.
"I'm so gonna enjoy when the Council tears you down, Shinobi" Emma telepathically comments to her prisoner while they enter the Krakoan Gate.
"All of you made a great work, but it was one of you who stood above the rest" Xavier comments and then he looks towards Kate "Katherine, I watched how everything unfolded over Columbus Circle, and I can't stress how proud I am of how hard you fought"
"Thanks, I guess" Kate replies, still feeling a bit reluctant to talk with the man who condemned her to permanent banishment and even intended to erase her memories of the people she loves.
"I can perfectly understand your reluctance, Kate, I really do" Xavier calmly comments "my way of acting was inappropriate because I failed to realize that many of the great deeds and triumphs of mutantkind before, and during Krakoa, came because of you" he explains to her "you truly are very important for all of us, and I overlooked that, so in a way, you could say that I've been…an #$%& +#$" he says, recalling Spider-Man's visit to Krakoa, and even when is not noticeable because of his Cerebro Helmet, he is looking at the distance, right where Spider-Man is standing "and for that, I owe you a long overdue apology" Xavier concludes, leaving Kate stunned at his words, yet her response is a long sigh.
"I appreciate the words, Charles" Kate replies, still wary of calling him 'Professor' again "but I don't think a mere apology will do"
"I know" Xavier replies "because I'm not the only one apologizing" he adds "I wasn't the only one who took notice of your actions, and is because of that, that I decided to rescind my decision towards your situation, for we are forever thankful for your actions, which we hope you won't stop doing" he comments, leaving Kate genuinely impressed.
"Wait…by 'We', you mean…" Kate wonders what Xavier is talking about.
"Krakoa thanks you for fighting for us" Xavier kindly replies "and because of that, Krakoa formally welcomes you back" he concludes, turning his back and walking through the Krakoan Gate. Kate looks amazed at those words and slowly walks towards the gate, one of the many that rejected her long ago. Storm and Wolverine look with high expectations while Kate looks at the gate and then moves her fingers towards it, seeing how they actually are getting through the gate, silently gasping in amazement upon the revelation.
Storm and Kate smile as they both slowly walk through the gate, finally reaching Krakoa while Wolverine stays behind for a few seconds and looks back at the distance, nodding towards Spider-Man as a 'Thank you' for his help taking care of Kate and bringing her back to her old self. Meanwhile, Spidey just watches as how Kate finally was brought back with her family as she entered the Krakoan gate, yet underneath his mask he has a sad smile, happy of seeing Kate being back with the X-Men, but sad because she now may never know his feelings for her.
"You deserve to be happy, Kate" Spidey whispers, slowly walking away from the gate, jumping to a lamppost to then shoot a web-line and start web-swinging into the city to clear his head.
AT KRAKOA
Ever since the island of Krakoa was born, every mutant was able to step into their gates, everyone except Kate Pryde, and although it was later determined that she is not a true mutant, she still fought for them and because of that, she gained the access through the gates that was denied for so long, and everyone is overjoyed upon the news, including her long friends.
Storm, Logan and Kate walking through the island, with Kate still marveled upon the sights of the island, seeing the beauty of Krakoa while her friends Nightcrawler, Emma Frost and Lockheed join her.
"Can't believe I finally made it" Kate looks in amazement to her surroundings.
"It was long overdue to happen, Mein Liebchen" Nightcrawler comments, smiling at his longtime friend.
"I guess all it was needed to do was to Spider-Man to drop by, give an impassioned speech and then insult Charles Xavier" Emma points out what transpired, stunning Kate and Storm.
"Wait, what did you say?" Kate asks, still in a bit of shock.
"Remember the cold shower and slap to the face I said before?" Wolverine poses the question, but then lays the answer "It was because of Spider-Man" he reveals to her and Storm who was not present at that moment "He came here, he tried to convince Krakoa to accept you back and when Chuck said no, he snapped and insulted him" he explains "He stood up for you, he fought for you, he proved how much he cares about you".
"And now, thanks to him, you finally found your happiness" Storm adds to the comment "Here, with us" she adds, smiling at her friend.
Yet, Kate just looks at the sky as the memories begin to rush into her mind and her thoughts only lead into one man: Peter Parker. Those times he talked to her, those times when he listened to her, the time they worked together, the moments she shared with his family, the date they had at Coney Island, the moment they shared their past stories, the moment they first kissed, and how after everything he did, and what Logan just told her, she realizes that in such a short time, she was the happiest she ever has been, and it is all because of Peter Benjamin Parker.
"I finally found my happiness" Kate smiles as she closes her eyes "But not here" she adds, surprising her friends with those last words "Ororo, you were right…I fell in love, deeply and hardly, and I can't think of anyone else but him" she confesses to her friend "and I don't want to lose it, I want to go for it, all the way with him".
"Like I told you before, your heart always led you to what's right for you" Storm kindly replies to Kate, giving her an affectionate hug "and you should always follow it" she adds, encouraging her friend to go for it.
"I hope this doesn't mean this is over" Nightcrawler steps in, hugging Kate.
"I'll never stop fighting for you guys" Kate replies and then looks at Emma "and I'm sure you'll disapprove Emma, but quite frankly, I don't care" she comments, but still gives her a hug.
"I know you won't" Emma replies "and I still believe you can do better than him but…is not my call" he comments, still being honest, but conceding Kate's desires.
"Kiddo, I don't care what a DNA test or even Chuck say, you're an X-Man and you'll always be one, and I know that when we need ya, you'll be there" Wolverine puts a hand on her shoulder, smiling at her friend and almost 'surrogate daughter'.
"Thanks Logan" Kate smiles at everyone "Thanks guys…for everything" she whispers as she steps back and heads to the Krakoan gate, with Lockheed floating above them with a nostalgic look on his face.
"We know you want to be with her, Mein Freund" Nightcrawler comments "and you should be with her" he encourages the dragon to accompany his lifelong friend "Go! We'll be fine!"
"Rrrwwooo" Lockheed happily roars and flies towards the gate, following Kate to be with his friend.
"Well, there goes her chances for her to be the Red Queen again" Emma comments, shrugging her shoulders.
"Oh Emma, I think we all agree that she made the best choice" Nightcrawler replies to her comment.
"Still wonderin' what the hell women look in that guy" Wolverine points out, recalling how he couldn't believe how a woman like Mary Jane Watson was with a guy like Peter Parker.
"There's still one thing we can all guarantee" Storm looks at the group "In all the years we spent with her, this is the first time that I've seen she's truly happy" she adds, a sentiment that everyone agrees, seeing how Kate has recovered her true self and happiness, thanks to Spider-Man.
BACK IN NEW YORK
The Krakoan Gate at Washington Square Park glows indicating how someone is entering the city and that someone is Kate Pryde, now realizing her desire to be with Peter Parker, but once she steps into the park, she discovers that Spidey already left the place.
"Peter? I thought you'd be…" Kate begins to think for herself "Come on, Katherine! Is not like he left the city! He must be web-swinging around, is only matter of finding…" her thoughts are then interrupted by the glow of the gate activating again, prompting Kate to turn around and see who is coming out, then showing a wide smile when she sees who is it.
"Rrrwoooo!" Lockheed howls as he flies towards Kate, who catches him with a big hug.
"Lockheed!" Kate smiles widely as she hugs her draconian friend "You're staying here too?" Kate asks, to which Lockheed nods in response "That's so great!" she exclaims in joy "Listen to me, if you're staying, you should know that things are about to change, and that means quite a lot for me" she looks straight into Lockheed's eyes "I know you won't approve at first" she adds, recalling how Lockheed was very disapproving of Kate's previous relationships like Wisdom and Iceman "but I'm sure you'll grow fond of him once you get to know him, alright?" she comments, to which Lockheed nods in agreement "Great! And now, I need a huge favor from you…can you go find him for me? And then send him over there" she then points out to one of the landmarks of the city "can you do that for me, buddy?" she asks her longtime companion, who nods in response "Perfect! Now go!" She exclaims while she let him go fly away "You do your thing…while I do mine" she whispers until she then heads back into the city, allowing Lockheed to do his part.
Lockheed didn't need much time to search him, for it was easy to detect him across Manhattan, having seen him swing over Times Square, having spent the time swinging across the city to clear his head, coming to terms with the fact that Kate might have already settled back in Krakoa.
"I should accept it, Kate's gone with her family, back with the X-Men…and I'm happy for her, I really am" Spidey thinks for himself while he keeps web-swinging "She deserves to be happy, she went through a lot for them and it's very great to see that she's accepted again, but…I shouldn't be selfish, but I hope there was still a chance to be together" he muses, still swinging around until a strange figure flies above him and then intercepts him, startling him a bit until he manages to land on the top of a flag post "Alright, then, who's the Unidentified Flying Creature that appeared around…" he asks until he now sees the small purple dragon flying in front of him.
"Aarrrooo" Lockheed howls in front of Spidey, who starts to recognize him.
"Hey, I remember you, it's little Spyro!" Spidey recalls him, now deciding to nickname him after the famous videogame character "What happened fella? You lost your way to the Skylands?" he asks, but Lockheed simply gestures with his eyes as if he's rolling them –which he cannot because he has no pupils- but then flies in circles, growling and howling "Uuhhh…I suppose something happened with the X-Men so, I suppose I should follow you" he comments.
"Rrrwwwoooo" Lockheed howls and then flies away, prompting Spider-Man to jump and web-swing following him.
"Alright, alright, right behind you Lassie" he quips as he swings behind the dragon "This better not be something about Timmy falling down the well again". For a while, Lockheed flies over the city, with Spidey keeping up with his speed and pace, until he sees the place he is taking him to "The Chrysler Building? Why would he bring me up here?" he wonders for himself until he sees that Lockheed stops in one of the higher spots of the building, landing right in front of him "Alright pal, why you brought me here, of all places in the city?" he asks looking at the dragon.
"Because I asked him to" a female yet familiar voice is heard, and right then is revealed to be Kate, phasing from the wall into the spot where Spidey is standing "Thanks Lock" she smiles at the dragon, who flies in circles and then goes away, giving her friend the privacy she needs to be with him.
"Kate? I…I thought you'd be at…" Spidey tries to talk, but Kate interrupts him.
"Krakoa? Yeah, not gonna happen" she quickly replies "I know what you did Peter, I know that you went to Krakoa and tried to convince them to accept me back" she slowly walks towards him "you went through a lot to plead with them" she smiles at him as she keeps talking "but I've realized that I wouldn't be happy…because I already found my happiness with you" she then puts her hand caressing his cheek, a gesture that is responded when Spidey gently puts his hand over hers.
"Kate…I confess that I really wanted you to stay, because all the time I spent with you has been one the greatest I've ever had" he confesses to her "never met someone so smart, so clever, so funny, so kind, so…so insanely beautiful like you" he admits while looking at her eyes "and I want to be the one who keeps bringing that smile to your face, because you deserve the best".
"And so do you, Peter" Kate replies, smiling in kind "and I wish to be the one, Peter…because I realized that there's no place I'd rather want to be than here with you" she says to him "when I came here, I was in such a dark place…and you became the light in the darkness that brought me back, and I'll be forever grateful for that" she adds, looking at the lenses of his mask that she is slowly beginning to lift, wanting nothing more than to kiss him, stopping right when she sees his lips "Wait…" she whispers, deciding then to completely take off his mask, looking at the face of the man she fell in love with, smiling widely as she steps towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kiss his lips softly, yet deeply, while Peter hugs her, wrapping his arms around her back and waist to hold her close to him as they kiss each other, savoring their lips and feeling their hearts flutter over their mutual love for each other, prolonging the loving moment for a long while until they get some breath, gazing lovingly at each other.
"I really want this with you, be together with you, spend every day with you" Peter whispers to her, looking deep into her hazel eyes with a wide smile on his face.
"Me too Peter" Kate whispers "I finally found what I ever wanted…and it's you" she smiles, giving him a few pecks on his lips.
"Then this is it…you and me, together" Peter replies in between kisses, to which Kate nods in response, but then she begins to think back about a conversation she had with May, recalling something she told her, and that might as well give it a try.
"Pete" Kate looks at his hazel eyes "Can you…from now on…" she then begins to smile "call me Kitty?" she asks him, prompting Peter to smile at her.
"I'll do one better than that" he whispers, gently caressing her face "more than saying your name, I'll never stop saying what I feel for you" he then puts his forehead with hers, looking at her eyes "I love you, Kitty Pryde" and right then, her heart began to race and she shows the brightest smile she ever had, for it was in that moment that she discovered that May Parker was absolutely right.
"And I love you Peter Parker" Kitty replies "I love everything about you…everything…" and then she comes closer to him and kisses him again, a loving, tender, soft yet deep kiss on his lips, a kiss that he returns with all the love and affection that he can give her, signaling the beginning of the most wonderful adventure they'll embark together, although if there is one thing known about Peter Parker…is that even in his best moments, the man can't catch a break, and it shows when his phone begins to buzz constantly.
"Oh, come on! Can't a guy catch a break?" Peter complains while Kitty giggles ad then he checks his phone "Ugh! It's Fred, he wants me to join in his victory celebration" he tells Kitty "and Randy's already with him" he shakes his head in denial.
"Wait…both of your roommates are out, right?" Kitty asks, with an idea starting to pop in her mind.
"Yes…" Peter replies, looking back at her with curiosity.
"That means…that the apartment is clear, right?" she asks, starting to show a more playful tone in her voice.
"Yes…" Peter replies again, showing more curiosity.
"Good, because I have a counteroffer" Kitty replies, coming closer to Peter, stroking his hair with one hand "How about if you and I go to your apartment and 'celebrate' our way?" she asks him, winking at him while she playfully moves her finger over the spider symbol on his chest and shows a smirk on her face a. Peter responds with a smirk while he takes back his mask and puts it back on.
"In that case, buckle up dear Kitty" Peter replies while he grabs her by the waist "because we're going home!" he then jumps off the Chrysler Building with her in tow.
"Yeah!" Kitty screams in joy as they both are dropping, holding tight on him until he shoots a web-line and they begin to web-swing.
"WOOOOOHOOOOO!" they both scream in unison, overjoyed by the beginning of something beautiful for both of them. She lost everything but she met him and brought her happiness again. He never thought he'd find love again, until he discovered someone so perfectly fitting for him that he finally regained a semblance of joy in his heart. And now, they both are embarking into a whole new adventure, but this time, they have each other, ready to tackle everything they got in front of them…
Together.
THE END
Here we are, my friends. Right at the end of this story I crafted for the enjoyment of all Spidey fans, especially those who love the Spidey/Kitty ship. I created this fic thanks to the help of my dearest Laurentina as a way to cope with the whole quarantine thing, and both being fans of the Spidey/Kitty ship, I took the chance of making this fic and I'm amazed of the good reception it gained.
Another reason was that I felt it was necessary to fix the terrible mess Kitty was put on in this whole "Dawn of X" era (I've never been a fan of Gerry Duggan's work, his treatment of Kitty is one of the many reasons why), so this is my way of bringing back the Kitty Pryde most of us Marvel fans got to know and love.
And last, but not least…I want to thank everyone who read, everyone who marked "Fav", everyone who marked "Follow" and everyone who reviewed this story (and maybe will keep reviewing even after it's over LOL!), I thank you all for giving me the motivation to keep going, and I hope this keeps going for as long as I'm capable of.
Now what comes next? I have a couple of projects in mind (You can see them in my profile), so I'll be with them pretty soon, so I really hope to see you there and keep showing your support!
