Chapter 21: Guilt and Gratification

"What have you done?" she heard a voice through the inky shroud that she was enveloped by, she tried speaking. Nothing happened. She tried moving, nothing happened. "You have doomed us both" a sob was heard nearby, the voice was in distress. The darkness was all around her, not that she could see it, she could feel it. It's razor sharp edges nibbling at her mind. Was she breathing? She couldn't feel anything, her body was paralyzed.

"You would fulfill your duty even if it means death?" the voice was closer now, "To the end" Justice finally spoke, snapping free from the abyss's embrace, she could hear herself speak finally. She looked around her, she was standing? The only thing that she could see was Beelzebub. The demon was sobbing, "Don't you realize what you have done?" she glared at her. "We have been sentenced to an eternity of darkness" Beelzebub was kneeling. Justice walked over to her, if walking was a concept here. Guided by the sounds of sobbing.

"I must fulfill my duty" she held out her hand to try and manifest a weapon, a chain, something, anything. She could not, she had lost all her power including the new abilities Lucifer bestowed upon her. "Don't you see? This place has drained us of all our power, absorbing them..." Beelzebub held her broken arm, wincing. "I don't need weapons" Justice's hands now wrapping around the other's neck. "Death does not exist here my dear" she got out between breaths.

After a few minutes of trying to asphyxiate her, Justice tried breaking her neck, Beelzebub laughing each time she failed, her neck not being affected physically by her attacks. "I would have killed you already were it the case" she laughed, Justice throwing her back. She tried using her foot to crush the demon's skull, her foot pressing against her head but doing no damage, Beelzebub only feeling a slight pressure on her head.

"Fuck" Justice walked a few steps away from Beelzebub. A defeated, wounded and blind prosecutor collapsed to her knees. She held a hand to her side, the blood still warm, she was going to pass out. For the first time in her life, Justice wept, she tried crying but no tears fell, her eye sockets containing only a mushy substance, what was left of her eyes.

She was going to die here, blinded, alone and scared. The high prosecutor, defeated. She placed both her hands to her face, weeping, thinking of all the time she had wasted, all the regrets she had, all the memories she still had yet to make. She collapsed onto her back, her own blindness consuming her.

Wait, memories...she thought as she slipped further into unconsciousness, the vision she was granted before their fight. It was a freeze frame, it was her, a man in a red shirt, Lucifer was there, so was two other demons she was yet to know.

She often took these visions with a pinch of salt, not acknowledging them as the truth. There were many times where they didn't come to pass. But this one felt different, this one gave her hope. So she desperately clung to it, the only thing she could do as she slipped into a dark inky sleep. The memory of this vision would soon be forgotten. She whimpered into the darkness, a cry for help. But nobody came.

Amoungst her dreams, she heard two distinct voices echoing which she recognised...

"I'm always saving your ass".

"If you want a job done right you got to do it yourself".

"Come on let's get you out of here".

"Judgement help me".

"Ahhh fuck you!" he said, grabbing Zdrada into a playful headlock, "That really fucking hurt!" he tried smiling through the stinging pain. He messed her hair up with his other hand which only made her laugh more. "Pussy" she jabbed, "Sorry I can't hear you" he said, rubbing more intensely. Him and Judgement had just returned home from their trip to the tattooist, Judgement again not wishing to wear a bandage.

The Helltaker on the other hand had, not being able to see his tattoo yet. Judgement had assured him it was "badass", they had both got the same matching tattoo on their right bicep, the medium sized ram's skull taking up little space. When they had returned home, Judgement had planted a kiss on his cheek, "Thank you" she had said, not specifying what she was thankful for, retreating to her room in embarrassment. She was mostly thanking him for spending time with her, actually wanting to share moments like this together. She had her face buried in her pillow for a long while after that kiss.

When he had sat down on the sofa, Modeus had come over sitting on his left, begging for attention that he was more than happy to give. However, Zdrada had also came over and instantly started tormenting him, jumping on the sofa to his right. She slapped his bicep where the tattoo was, it sending a sharp stinging pain through his arm. She was giggling as he played with her hair, truly messing it around as payback. "Okay, okay sorry" she was enjoying herself too much. Modeus was dripping with jealousy.

"Alright, good enough I guess" he said releasing Zdrada from his grip, her hair being truly messy. Zdrada blew at her fringe that was covering her left eye, the thick hair moving slightly, she brushed it flat and then layed back on the sofa, cuddling into his shoulder. He put his arm around Modeus, letting her get closer. Zdrada upon seeing this made him put an arm around her too. "Don't go hogging all the fun now M" she laughed, lighting her finger on fire to light the cigarette in her mouth.

"I'm not!" Modeus squealed, making sure she was firmly attached to his torso, her arms hugging and wrapping around him. "Don't be jealous" Zdrada sneered, purposefully trying to get a reaction out of her. The Helltaker now beginning to sweat slightly. "I'm not!" Modeus repeated, she was falling into Zdrada's trap. "Hey Modeus watch this" Zdrada said, taking a huge drag of her cigarette after. She inhaled deeply for a few seconds, then turned to the Helltaker. She kissed him and blew all the smoke she had in her into his mouth.

He coughed on reflex and smoke escaped from his mouth and nose, a stunned Modeus not sure how to react. He was still coughing, thumping his chest once. "Never do that again" he spluttered, the demon pouring too much smoke into his lungs, he lent for his glass of water and gulped down a cough. The taste of tobacco overwhelming. "See he didn't like it!" Modeus fired at Zdrada, "Nah, look at him, he loved it. Probably got a boner" the bitch demon smirked, placing a hand on his inner thigh.

"Ladies, let's not do this right now" he smiled at them both, standing up now. "That's reminded me though, stay right there, I have something for you" he said looking at Zdrada. He disappeared upstairs. "He likes me more" Zdrada smirked, knowing exactly what to say, which buttons to press. "N-n-o he l-ik-es us all eq-ua-lly" Modeus stuttered. She had her hands interlocked timidly. "Yeah he keeps saying that but we all know who he likes the best" she flicked her cigarette into the ash tray on the coffee table. "Definitely not you" Malina smirked from the her chair, she had been silently gaming while the two were arguing.

"Shut up Malinka, or shall I go and burn that hoodie of yours?" the bigger sister threatened, "Touch it and you're fucking dead!" Malina hissed, "Hoodie?" Modeus interrupted. "Yeah, big black one that used to be his, now she has got a hard on for it all the time, you know she rubs hersel-" Zdrada was cut off as she blocked a controller that came flying at her. "Time to die Zdrada" an angry Malina threw herself at her sister, both of them falling over the back of the sofa.

Cerberus came running downstairs, curious to the sudden commotion. "Why are they fighting?" they asked in unison to Modeus, she shrugged in reply, patting the seat next to her, encouraging the three to come and be petted. Malina was now strangling her sister, the other demon laughing manically as she did so, "Come on Malina you can try harder than that" she got out between gasps. "Shut up and die quietly" Malina was flushed red, her only emotion being anger.

"I go away for five seconds and you two are already fighting" the Helltaker's voice coming from behind the two fighters, Malina and Zdrada both looked at him. He was scowling at the two sisters, "Get up", he placed his hands around Malina's waist, lifting her off her sister, the sour demon crossing her arms when placed down.

Zdrada was also lifted up off of the floor, taking the Helltaker's hand and letting him pull her up. "Thanks big guy" she said, looking behind him at the box on the kitchen table. Malina returning to her chair muttered obscenities. "What's that?" she pointed, manifesting another cigarette from her pocket dimension. He plucked it out of her hand, "Hey!" she snapped. "It's a replacement for these", pocketing the cigarette into his right breast pocket. He went into the kitchen taking the medium sized box in his hand, bringing it over to Zdrada.

"Here" he gave her the box, a weird shaped device was advertised on the front. "What the fuck is a 'vape'?" she said looking at him puzzled. "Basically, it's a slightly healthier cigarette" he said, "Instead of burning tobacco, you can burn different flavourings, there are like a ton of different types you can buy" he smiled at her enthusiastically.

"I bought you a few to try" he said, pointing over his shoulder at her cupboard with his thumb. "I got you chocolate, waffle, pancake, uhhm and butterscotch. They sell way more though if you wanted to try something different" She looked at his happy face and then down at the box again. Her face blank, not sure how to react. "Why did you get this?", she wasn't ungrateful, just confused.

"Well, remember when we went to the Mall all those weeks ago, god feels like ages. You were caught stealing" he smiled at her, receiving a scowl. "Well I saw the shop and thought about you, deciding to get one ordered as well as a few flavourings". A short pause followed, "If you don't like it I can-" he began, "No! I like it" Zdrada cut him off. "It's cute" she said slightly embarrassed.

"I decided to get it because for one you are stinking the house up with the smell of tobacco, I can smell it on the sofa everytime I sit down. Not helping my cravings" he paused. "I guess I care about your health too" he smiled mimicking Malina's non caring manner. "Dude I'm immortal" she said looking up at him, "Immortality with a cough like that must really suck then" he playfully pushed past her going to sit back on the sofa. It was true, Zdrada did have a terrible cough, sometimes not being able to breath for minutes at a time, her lungs trying to rid themselves of the tar that was now stuck to them.

She looked down at the box again, Why did he fucking care so much? She sighed, walking up the stairs to drop the box off in her room.

"Scoot" he said to the two Cerberus who were sat in his spot being pet by Modeus, "My turn to be pet" he joked, looking at Modeus. He sat next to her, moving his head so she could pet him.

Modeus severely embarrassed pet his head gently with her right hand, his black hair soft to the touch. He chuckled, resuming his normal position with the Lustful Demon. She nuzzled her head to his collar, her hand on his chest. He always was a weird one, she thought, closing her eyes as they embraced. Azazel and Pandemonica walked into the room, the sadistic demon and the fallen angel. "Hey, hows the revision going Az?" he said, his other hand moving to pet the third Cerberus who fought the other two for the best spot. "It's going well, Monica's been a real help" the angel said shyly, "She is definitely improving" Pandemonica nodded, going into the kitchen.

"Of course you are improving" he smiled. "When are the resit exams?", Modeus nuzzled into his collar deeper. "Next month" Azazel said, sitting in Malina's chair for a moment. "Are you done for the day?" he asked, remembering there was something else he had to do today, he wanted her there with him. "Yeah should be... Sorry sorry I'm going!" she was talking to Malina now who was death staring the angel, she was coming back from the toilet, Azazel stood up instantly and went to lean on the sofa's back.

"Can you do me a favour?" he said, turning around to look at the angel. "Of course" she smiled innocently, not knowing the depressing task he was asking her to do. "You don't even know what it is", he looked over her shoulder to see Lucifer coming down the stairs and nodding at him. "Well what is it?" the angel said nervously.

"I just need my guardian angel to comfort me at Church".

They drove for more than an hour, passing the diner Zdrada had driven too. The three were driving to a rural Church nestled in a valley not too far from the coast. It was a relatively long trip for the three, Azazel asking plenty of questions to fill up the time. "Who do you think Mantus is?" Azazel's voice came from behind the Helltaker. "I'm not too sure Az, someone who didn't like little Lucy here" he smiled looking over at the devil.

Lucifer however was silent when this question was brought up, she knew he was hiding something, he was lying to them. The Helltaker didn't want to lie, he just had to tell Malina first, she deserved to know. He had made sure Zdrada hadn't said anything to the other demons. Soon he will tell her, he would tell them all. "What did Beelzebub do to him?" Azazel firing another question. "Again, I don't know, but I plan to find out soon. One way or another" a slight aspect of malice on his voice. Lucifer turned and smirked at him, that was more like it.

"Do you think Mantus is Zdrada and Malina's dad?", Azazel getting the answer right without even knowing, "I don't know, I was knocked out for the first part" he looked at the angel in the rearview mirror. "Did you hear what they said?" he asked. "N-n-o" she looked at the floor. "We will get some answers soon" he said, turning right into the entrance of the Church, the gravel making a churning noise from under the thick tires. "We are here".

"Here lies John and Carrie Anderson, a loving Mother and Father. They always loved the view. Died 2002". Azazel read aloud, she was at the Helltaker's side. He was kneeling next to the weathered gravestone. He placed a selection of flowers on the earth in front of it. "So that's why you brought flowers..." Lucifer said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "They did like the view" he said, looking over the rim of gravestone.

The graveyard did have a very nice viewpoint; the whole valley being visible and the sunlight glimmering on the distant sea could just about be seen. "They got married here too". Behind them there was a small bench, after he re-read the engraving he went and sat on it, looking at the two demons before the devil came and joined him. "Why'd you never tell me?" Lucifer said, leaning her head against his shoulder. "About my surname?" he said, his eyes still focusing on the horizon. "About your parents".

"Well, never seemed like an appropriate time I suppose, usually me who is asking the personal questions" he smiled, giving her a playful nudge. "I didn't..." she tried to think of an excuse, but none was created. "I'm sorry" she simply said, guilty that she hadn't cared more. "Don't be stupid" he said, placing his arm around her. "I'm surprised you didn't just burst into flames when we walked anywhere near a church" he joked trying to change the subject, he was watching Azazel place her hand on the gravestone, her halo was glowing a bright white.

"His power's don't extend that far" she smiled, "Is he technically your parent?" he asked curiously. "Never found out" Lucifer said, "You can ask when you go to her graduation" she gestured to the angel now coming over to them, sitting on his right. "It's okay" the angel smiled, placing a hand on his, "They are together". He paused, stunned by what the angel had said. She knew that? Simply by touching their gravestone? "Good, I suppose that's all that matters at the end of the day...to be with the ones you love". There was a long pause, a robin's birdsong breaking the silence.

"I should have been there, as a teenager I was away at a house party the night my parents got burgled" he confessed, his two companions remaining silent. "They were after any valuables they could find, my dad waking to find two men ransacking our house, stealing the money from his wallet" he fought down the urge to become even sadder. "They fucking smashed his head in, my mother stabbed as she slept. She probably woke screaming, the psychopaths not wanting to leave any witnesses". He again fought down a sob, the devil interlocking her hand with his tightly. "Hell of a thing to come home too, even my drunk younger self realised as soon as I saw the door smashed open".

Lucifer listened to his tragic story, reflecting on how she had never lost anyone like this. But then again, no one had ever become this close to her. No mortal had ever tried to romance the devil, some demons had tried, all had failed. She couldn't believe that after all these centuries, she finally had fallen for a mortal man. She couldn't believe she was apart of a family that he held together everyday. She couldn't believe she loved him. But just like everyone, demon or human, everyone came with baggage, everyone eventually becoming damaged at some point. She didn't care, he was the only thing that mattered.

"Police even had the cheek to suspect I had killed my own parents" he chuckled, trying to hide his true feelings with a joke. He sighed, "I'm sorry if bringing you here and that little story was too heavy" he looked at his angel then at his devil. "Don't say stuff like that" Lucifer smiled, placing a gloved hand on his face. "I never been to a Church before" Azazel chimed, looking at the big stone building. "I'm glad to be here with you" she smiled brightly. He put his arms around both of them, both leaning against his shoulders. They basked in the sunlight together, feasting upon the spectacular view.

"Azazel" he said, still staring out across the horizon. Another long pause followed, "What is Heaven like...I won't want to stay when we go...Will I?" the question catching both the devil and the angel by suprise. "Would you want to stay?" Lucifer gulped, afraid of the answer. "An eternal paradise...could I resist Lucy?". Azazel was the one to answer, "I don't know how to describe it to you, you would be a guest, it's not the first time a living person has entered Heaven". He sighed, not knowing the true answer either.

"Nothing could be better than this family"

"Ayyy, just the human I was looking for" a happy Justice bounded over giving the big man a hug once he was through the front door. Lucifer and Azazel following. "Hello Lady Justice" he smiled, reciprocating the hug, "What can I do for you?" he asked the blind demon, his hands on her waist still. "We have an idea" she smiled, the other prosecutor coming out from the lounge and smiling at him. "Oh no" he smirked, walking past her and giving Judgement a playful shove on his way to the kitchen.

The high prosecutor chased him and delivered a playful punch in return to his chest, which he blocked. He playfully karate chopped the grey demon on the neck, she also blocked the attack. He placed his arm around her waist and swapped positions with her, turning to open the fridge which was behind her. He grabbed two beers from the fridge, throwing one to Judgement, it was her new found favourite brand. He cracked it open using his teeth to lever the bottlecap, Judgement was going to copy him using her front teeth, but he stopped her, "Wait, wait, lemme show you, you'll break your teeth if you don't do it properly". He demonstrated again on his bottle, using his back molar teeth. She copied and successfully opened the bottle.

"So what's your grand idea then?" he leaned on the counter-top taking a swig of the beer. "Me and Judgement have a bet" she began, staring straight ahead not looking at the two. "Oh no" he repeated, a smirk on his face. "Lemme guess, it involves me doing something impossible" he joked, Judgement throwing her bottle cap at his face, he caught it and threw it back at her, she batted it out of the air. "Let me finish!" Justice said growing impatient, it was very cute. "We have a bet that you can beat Malina in four rounds of that video game you two love, like a tournament" she finished, "Can I have a beer?", she only just noticed the smell.

"Of course J, sorry, didn't know you wanted one" he turned and went to retrieve another bottle. "So who are you betting against?" he asked while his back was turned to the two demons. "Wait" he turned around, handing Justice her beer and shutting the fridge door. "You didn't bet against me, did you Judgement?" he was feigning sadness. Judgement felt terrible, she placed her beer on the counter-top and went over to him. "No, no it's not like that!", she held his hand in hers. "Well, looks like I'm just going to have to make you loose then" he smirked at Judgement, going to clink his bottle against Justice's. The grey demon delivering another punch to his shoulder.

"How much is the bet?" he asked, "What are you even betting with?". Justice had opened her beer using the fridge magnet bottle opener she knew was there, taking a sip of beer, "Well we were gonna use your money..." she wiped her mouth after spilling a little beer. "You were now?" he smiled, "How much?". "Five hundred dollars..." Justice took another sip. He though for a moment. "I'll increase it to one thousand", he knew that increasing the reward would add some tension. "It doesn't matter how much you bet" Malina's voice suddenly joined the conversation. "Cause you're going to loose either way" she smiled, approaching him. She was already becoming competitive.

"Oh yeah?" he took a step forward to the Sour Demon, "Yeah" she smirked. "Alright then, let's make this more interesting", he was trying to encourage and improve Malina's mood further, it was very rare to see her this excited. "How?" she crossed her arms. "The looser has to do whatever the winner says". Boom, Malina's mind went wild. "Oh, is that so?" she said, her face turning a bright shade of red. So many thoughts of what she would make him do running through her mind, many of them lewd.

I knew she liked it, he thought, her reaction being a key giveaway. "It's settled then, four rounds, first to three per round. Winner takes it all". He took a huge swig of his beer, "Malina takes it all" she said, leaning forward, fist clenched, a maniacal smile on her face. "Team Helltaker versus Team Malina, just like before", he smiled also leaning forward, his smile encouraging her competitiveness. "Oh boy!" Justice laughed, heading out the room to gather the other demons.

Before their duel, the Helltaker went out into the backyard, sitting on the wooden table and taking one last slug of beer. He needed his reflexes to be on point, no more beer for now. Was he going to let her win? Maybe. Should he let her win? Definitely. He withdrew Zdrada's stolen cigarette from his breast pocket, placing it on the table. He took a look at the sun sinking beneath the horizon, his sunglasses reflecting the last of it's fading golden light.

He pulled a lighter from his trouser pocket, a cheap blue Bic one. He lit the cigarette and took a long drag, it had been years since he had had one, longer still since he beat his addiction. He breathed out, the taste of tobacco another guilty pleasure of his. He heard the backdoor open, someone was trudging on the gravel towards him, he had his back turned so awaited further confirmation as to who it was.

"Everyone's ready" Justice's warm voice called to him, she then took a few more steps and sat next to him on the bench. He turned to looked at the devil, looking back at the sunset after. "I'll be there in a few minutes. Just enjoying the sunset" the cigarette was taken from his hands, "Hey!" he turned to see the Awesome Demon take a long drag of their now shared cigarette. "Oh man it's been too long" she sighed pleasantly, slowly blowing smoke out her mouth. "You were an addict too?" he smiled, taking the cigarette from her. "For a time, yes. I lost my sight and all I felt like doing was smoking. Didn't really care about what happened next".

"Oh boy, do I know that feeling" he said, placing the butt of the cigarette to his lips, "Embrace Nihilism?" his voice muffled slightly, handing it back to her, "Have the rest of it" he smiled. "Nihilism?" Justice repeated. "Accepting life is meaningless, that's what it means" he said, he interlocked his own hands and looked down at his feet."Suppose I did" she said, she flicked the burnt end of the cigarette into the ash tray, raising the last of it to her lips. "Me too...".

"Hey, I never asked, but why do you wear sunglasses" she finished the cigarette, stubbing it into the ashtray on the table. She was facing him, the golden frame of her sunglasses reflecting the light coming from the house.

It was a very random question, he never really thought as to why he would dress a certain way. "Well" he chuckled embarrassed, "I just want to look cool and smart, I think anyone wearing sunglasses comes across like that". He looked at his thumbs, suddenly becoming very embarrassed. "Hey" he turned to look at her. She used her index finger and pushed his glasses up to sit on his head. His dark eyes now visible. "I can tell you're embarrassed, but..." she paused to take off her sunglasses, he could see she was blushing. "That's one of the most coolest, charming and cutest of answers you could have said" her pale white eyes staring into his.

All of a sudden she went in for a kiss, the desperation apparent when she put her hands on either side of his head. Their lips smashing into one another, Justice not wasting a single second. It was a passionate kiss, Justice not letting him come up for air just yet. Her tongue colliding with his. After what felt like a lifetime, they parted for air, both unsure about how to react afterwards. "I've been wanting to do that for so long" Justice confessed, a hint of sadness present on her voice. "Shit" she swore quietly under her breath.

She could feel the suspense in the air. "All you had to do was ask J" she felt his hands place themselves on her waist. "Really?!" she looked and felt very fragile in this moment, he could tell she hadn't received affection like this for a long time. "Really" he repeated, he went in for the kiss this time, Justice wholeheartedly embracing this one. Again holding onto his face, it was even longer than the last one. They parted and both of them smiled, feeling like young teenagers whose love was forbidden."In fact, don't ask in the future. Just go for it" he said flirtatiously. "Noted" Justice bit her lip, she wanted another kiss, receiving one as soon as she leant in. It was addicting.

Eventually, she leant back, shuffling backward to her original position, control yourself J!. He released his hold on the demon's muscular body, "When are you gonna take me on that date then hotshot?", she whispered. "I'll have to take Modeus out first or else she will explode, but after, definitely". "You better" she said, giving him another quick kiss, wanting it to last longer. "Okay, let's go, they are probably waiting for us", she stood up. "Are you prepared to loose?", he also stood and followed the former high prosecutor. "You thinking about letting her win?" Justice asked, stepping up to open the backdoor.

"We'll see"...

"Ladies and a single Gentleman, have we got a special treat for you tonight!" Judgement's voice sounded throughout the house. This was the first time they had all been together, all having fun. The lounge now brimming full of demons, every single one had decided to attend the event. Some slipping into more comfortable outfits after showering, here is how the lounge looked.

From the left Malina was not sat in her usual position, to equalize the two contenders they were both sat next to one another on the sofa, in her chair a slightly excited Beelzebub sat, she was a little depressed since none of the demons would even speak to her let alone look at her with a kind expression. Either way, she was excited to be included...and not whipped. She was wearing a big red fluffy robe, her bare feet underneath her as she was sat cross legged. She was holding a glass of whiskey and ice, she had taken a shine to it when he had introduced her. She sent a few bottles to her pocket dimension every now and then, manifesting one whenever she needed a refill.

Judgement was patrolling the lounge pretending to be an announcer, exaggerating her voice as if she was speaking to a huge crowd. She would be stood behind the sofa cheering Malina on, beer in hand, she was also wearing a black fluffy robe. Some cotton shorts were hidden by the long black robe, there were two white x's on the back just like her jacket. Justice would also be standing behind the sofa cheering him on, although not aware of what was going on visually, she enjoyed the atmosphere, sensing the tension. She was wearing her shirt but she also had a big red hoodie on over it, allowing her to get more comfortable.

On the left of the sofa, Modeus was getting as much affection as she could from him before they began. She was wearing her usual red turtle neck sweater and red shorts, trying her best to contain her excitement. She had never seen the demon household so lively.

Next to her the Helltaker sat, prepared for a heated battle. He was still wearing his red shirt and suit pants, saying that he was already comfy. This was a lie, he was already beginning to sweat. On his left was Malina, cracking her knuckles in preparation for the duel, she was wearing his huge black hoodie that covered her entire upper body, for good luck of course. On Malina's left, Azazel was sat, wearing her immaculate white hoodie with angel wings, she was currently hugging her knees, peering over them at the TV, she wasn't entirely sure what was going on. The occupants on the sofa had plenty of room.

On the dual recliner, Lucifer was sat eating pieces of chocolate, petting the lone Cerberus who was resting her head on the devil's lap. The Cerberus was wearing a black dog onesie, identical to what her sisters were also wearing. The other two Cerberus who had failed to secure a seat were sat at the feet of the Helltaker facing the TV.

On the floor near the dual recliner, a tired demon now lay, Pandemonica had her head rested on a large pillow from her room, she was using the pillow as a headrest to give her a comfortable angle of the screen and to go to sleep if need be. Her Insomnia was getting a little better. On the floor next to Beelzebub, Zdrada was laying with her head resting against the front of the sofa near Modeus's feet, she was wearing a thin black robe, having showered and removed all her makeup she was trying her best to figure out how to work the new vape she had.

The two teams were as follows: Team Helltaker consisted of Justice, Beelzebub, Zdrada and Lucifer. Team Malina had Modeus, Azazel, Pandemonica, Cerberus and of course Judgement supporting her. Modeus had decided to go against him for once rather than with him, a decision she regretted almost immediately. "In the red corner we have the Helltaker!" Judgement boomed, a few cheers coming from his teams, more booing coming from the opposing team. "In the blue corner we have Malina the Sour Demon", the Helltaker made sure to comically boo in her ear, Malina hissing and pushing him away, her excited smile still present.

"Alright, I want a nice clean game, no cheating, no disturbances from the other player. You are about to make me rich Malina!" an excited Judgement moved out of the way of the TV. "Have you been watching wrestling videos?" the Helltaker eyed the grey demon smiling who was taking her place behind him, "N-no!" an embarrassed Judgement lied. "Whatever you say", he picked up the tiny controller in his hand. He had been getting quite good at the game now, Super Smash Bros Ultimate being the only game he could beat Malina in.

"Alright, everyone ready? Beel, can you keep a score for us?" he smiled at the demon slugging her whisky, "Oh.. of course!" she perked up, happy to be involved. "Ready to loose?" Malina spat at him as they selected their characters. "Heh, keep talking Malina".

"OH MY GOD IT'S SO FUCKING CLOSE!" Judgement could barely control herself, "BEAT HIS FUCKING ASS MALINA!" she shouted loudly. "What's going on?!" a desperate Justice asked, unaware of the tense situation, the last few seconds of play hanging by a thread. "COME ON DUDE, DON'T LET HER WIN" an equally enthusiastic Zdrada was screaming at the TV. "Malina, Malina, Malina" her team began chanting, Azazel sat on the edge of the sofa, Modeus biting her finger nails, Cerberus's three tails going into overdrive.

The last few rounds had been a hard fight, both fighters equally matched, both adapting and learning the other's strategies. The Helltaker had won two rounds. Malina had won two rounds. Both killing the other six times. They were now in the final round, the deciding round. Whoever won this would be declared the winner. The two contenders now had both of their character's inches away from death, either one a good combo away from being launched off the stage. The Helltaker's fingers began to get sweaty, Malina was one hit away from loosing. He had to make a decision.

So he did, he made his character jump up above Malina's, exposed, faking that he was going to grab an item above, her character already primed and ready to attack, hitting upwards and sending his Falco flying off the screen. It was over.

The lounge exploded with excitement and disappointment, he dropped his controller into his lap, feigning that he was upset, it was all a facade to boost Malina's confidence, of course he could have beaten her, but what would that of achieved? "Fuck" he sighed, trying to sound as miserable as he could. He looked over to see her team congratulating her, Judgement squeezing them all into a big hug, pulling some of them to her chest. Azazel's eyes were wondering.

"Get fucking destroyed looser" Malina smiled, at him, flipping him off. He held out his sweaty hand, "Well played Malina" he smiled, even in defeat he was fucking smiling that stupid fucking smile, Malina's mind screamed. "Yeah whatever" she said shaking his hand, trying her best not to be an over excited winner. "Better luck next time" Justice smiled at him, placing her hand on his shoulder from behind. "I didn't mean to go against you" Modeus squeaked coming to sit by his side, "It's okay Mo, a bit of friendly rivalry never hurt anyone" he gave her big a hug.

The devil had been very quiet throughout their match and the Helltaker had noticed this, wondering why she wasn't more vocal. The truth was she was theorizing what the Helltaker was hiding, the true identity of Mantus? She just HAD to know. "Congratulations Malina" she smirked, "Not many can say they are better than the famous Helltaker" her smirk turning on him. A glass of blood red wine was in her hand, she was making her way through the devil's personal wine cellar.

He looked at the red liquid in her glass, deciding he needed a drink too.

"Alright, let's get drunk"

The evening descended into drunken chaos; Zdrada, Judgement, Beelzebub, Lucifer and Malina staying up with him, trying their best to keep pace with his drinking speed. The demons all wanted to show-off, arm wrestles soon becoming a new favourite activity. Of course he couldn't beat any of them, he only won the first few rounds when introducing them to the sport. All the demons were incredibly strong. Malina amazingly tore herself away from her video games, wanting to enjoy the party games with them. He couldn't remember most of it.

Eventually, the demons were very tired, leaving him with just Lucifer and Malina. They were watching a terrible movie, not really understanding the plot and laughing at the god-awful acting. Malina stumbled away to use the toilet, Lucifer almost asleep cuddling into his shoulder. "Lucy, wake up" he said, giving her a light squeeze. "Wha?" she said, looking over at him. "What is it?" she said, adjusting her position on his shoulder. "I need to talk to Malina, I'm sure you want some answers too" he slurred, composing himself for the upcoming chat.

Upon hearing this she rubbed her eyes and perked up, finally she thought. She sat straight and looked over at him, "You had to wait till now?" she scowled at him, pushing a yawn back down. "Had to soften the blow first hun", he kissed her suddenly. "Sorry, that was drunk me" he said, leaning backwards embarrassed. "Oh come here" she grabbed his head aggressively kissing him. "You gonna be sleeping with me tonight?" she asked, a devilish smirk on her face. "Did I promise Modeus?", he brushed his hair back. "No, you promised me" she smirked, lying to convince him.

"Ahem" Malina had now re-entered the room again. "Malina, we have to talk" he said, looking over at the Sour Demon, patting the open space on his left. "Uhhh, whaaaat?!" she sat next to him. He waited for her barrage of insults and complaints to end, then he told her. He told her everything he knew, about Mantus being her father and a heavenly scientist, creating the abyss as a prison, the voice messages he had received, Zdrada destroying them, leading to Zdrada's story about the two's upbringing in Hell at the diner. He addressed Lucifer as well throughout this talk, expressing how he had no idea she had raised the sisters.

Surprisingly, throughout all of his little talk, Malina listened. She already knew half of what he was telling her, but even through her drunken state she soaked it in. After the conversation, she looked down at her hands, his big ones coming over to interlock with hers. "I'll- I mean we are always going to be here for you" he smiled at the Sour Demon. Malina reflected on what he had told her, grabbing her bottle and raising it. "Cheers, I'll drink to that" she took a huge gulp.

This was a far from her true reaction, she wanted to break down crying into his arms. However, her pride wouldn't allow it. She chinked her bottle against his empty glass, going to fill his glass with her bottle. Lucifer squeezed his hand, "Well done" she whispered, Malina going back to her chair. "I'm going to bed" Lucifer announced, "Don't stay up too long you two", she winked at him. "Yeah, we won't" his head resting back on the sofa.

"Uhh, huh?" he felt someone kissing his neck, he awoke, there was someone straddling him. "Malina? What are you doing?" he looked at the demon, placing his hands on her hips, pushing her back slightly. He must have fallen asleep, his glass was intact but discarded on the sofa. "Shut up" she pressed herself against him, forcing her lips on his. "Malina, this is wrong..." he protested between breaths, he kept her at arms length.

"Why, why is it wrong?! You do this with literally everyone else!" she looked angry, crossing her arms. "Wait, why aren't you wearing any underwear?" he said, he could feel her naked body on his lap. All she was wearing was his large black hoodie. "It doesn't matter" she went to kiss him again, it was a very sloppy virgin kiss. "Malina you're drunk" he tried to make her see reason.

"You said the looser has to do whatever the winner says", she paused. "You have to do what I want". A sadistic smile spreading across her face, "Are you sure?", he relaxed slightly. "One hundred percent" she kissed his neck, sucking more than kissing, leaving marks all down him. He moaned slightly when she would nibble his neck. She held his head still, aggressively kissing him, her tongue ramming into his. The Helltaker was slowly succumbing to his lust, she reached down and lifted her hoodie off her body in one swift movement.

She began undressing him, she unzipped his suit pants while he unbuttoned his red shirt. Her stark naked body was now pressing itself against him, her mind overloading with lewd thoughts, soaking in every second. She had been waiting for this for too long.

The night was definitely a mysterious one, but Malina finally had her desires fulfilled, again, and again, and again...
