Chapter Twenty: That's the Last Time I'm Buying Him Alcohol

I think I'm really starting to get my groove back with writing! And I finally have more free time, which I'm super happy about!

The Night Ninja: Aagh your review gave me so much life! I read it while in the grocery store and if anyone saw me, they would have been thinking 'what did that person just read?' XD Definitely one of the funniest things I've read in a while. And you're probably not wrong about what Cole was doing in the bathroom for an hour ;) And your wish is yours to keep—more Glacier will be coming soon!

CaptainSteve1: That's so true. At least before they changed the designs, young Garmadon looked almost identical to Lloyd, just brunet. And your theory actually does make a lot of sense—you never know just what kind of effects the tea had on Lloyd. And dude, you read my mind. If I ever get a boyfriend/girlfriend/partner, I will get them to dress up as Kai and do a Greenflame thing for TikTok, Halloween, or...whatever.

A Huge Fangirl: Thank you so much! I'm so glad it made you laugh! And same to you!

CheezPretzel: Mine too, to be honest!

Also, I updated Chapter Ten where Kai describes the difference between bisexual and pansexual. I've been learning a lot more about this subject, and I wanted to reflect the new knowledge I have acquired. If you want to go back and read it, it's near the end of the chapter. If not, here's a brief summary: from my understanding, both identities can be attracted to people who fall outside the gender binary, but bi people notice these gendered qualities and may have a preference for a certain gender, or find different traits attractive in different genders. Pan people, on the other hand, don't really care that much about gender and are less likely to have such preferences. These labels also mean different things to different people—this is what they mean to me. Also, I'm not an expert or anything, just a curious little gay in a multifaceted rainbow community :)

Now, as for this chapter...enjoy some more drunk Lloyd fanfiction. Obviously, this will contain language and mentions of smash.

"Jay!"

The blue ninja looked up from his phone to see his girlfriend standing over him, a mischievous smirk on her face.

"What's up?" He asked.

The water ninja plopped down on his bed next to him. "Did you actually send the rest of Lloyd's drunk fanfiction to yourself?"

Jay laughed. "Of course I did."

"Have you read it?" Nya's brown eyes were sparkling.

The master of lightning shook his head. "Not yet. I was waiting for you."

"Aww, Jay," Nya breathed, her smile growing wider. "You're the best."

"No, you are," Jay argued, earning him an affectionate hug from his teammate. He opened his text messages and sifted through them until he found the most recent text from Lloyd—or, Lloyd's phone, rather. "Ah, here it is. Where did we leave off?"

Nya giggled. "Zane's amazing pun," she reminded him.

Jay smiled. "Oh, right. 'Zane smiled knowingly. "I get the pun. Cole here is the master of earth, and he gets me hard as rock!"' Oh, my gosh, that horny little green brat!"

Nya leaned forward, doubling over in a fit of laughter. "Tell me about it! I can't believe he has the hots for my brother!"

"Honestly, I'm not all that surprised."

The blue ninja's words caught her off guard. "Wait, you're not?"

Jay shrugged. "Between you and me, I've always had a sense Lloyd was into guys. And since he literally lives with four attractive men, I figured it was only a matter of time before he fell for one of us."

Mouth gaping in surprise, Nya hit him playfully. "If you do say so yourself," she teased. She thought for a minute. "Did you ever think he might like you?"

"Nah," he replied. "I always thought it would be Cole or Kai. Especially Kai—he's related to the most beautiful, spunky girl I know, and Lloyd's a lot like me, so it just made sense."

Nya blushed. "You're adorable, you know that?"

The redhead nodded. "I try."

"No, you don't."

Jay giggled, running a hand through his slightly curly hair. He sighed. "I wish he wasn't dating Skylor. I think the two of them would be so cute together."

"I do, too," she said in agreement. "Regardless, I'm glad everyone on our team is so affirming."

Jay couldn't hold back another chuckle. He looked up, his blue eyes meeting Nya's brown ones. "Nya, you know you're the only straight person on our team, right?"

The noirette blinked as she registered what Jay had just said. "You're...you're not?"

The blue ninja looked away, his pale freckled face growing red. "I never told you, did I?" He bit his lip nervously. "I didn't think so. It doesn't matter; I'm dating you, and you're the only person I have eyes for, I promise."

Nya took his hands in her own, prompting him to return his gaze to her concerned face. "Jay, I know that," she assured him. "Just like I never worried about you liking other girls, I would never assume you would like other guys either. I just wish you felt like you could have told me sooner."

"Honestly, I was afraid it would hurt my chances with you," he admitted shyly. "You're a wonderful, accepting person—I never doubted that—but some straight people assume bi guys are really just trying to hide the fact that they're gay. I didn't...I didn't want you to think that about me."

She nodded slowly. "Just like how people assume bisexual girls are just straight girls trying to impress guys. Skylor was telling me about that."

Jay blinked. "Skylor's…?"

"Yeah, she's bi, too," she told him. She chuckled. "Sometimes I wish I was. I've always had a bit of a girl crush on her."

Jay shrugged. "Are you sure you're not?"

She nodded, sighing. "Yeah, I'm sure. I think Skylor's hella pretty, but I couldn't see myself dating her. I just like looking at her, and I admire her a lot, I guess. Plus, at this point, me being straight would actually make our team more diverse!"

"That's true," Jay said. He was silent for a moment. "Are you surprised? About me being bi, I mean."

"A little bit, I guess," she admitted. "But not a whole lot. To be honest, there was a point where I thought you and Cole would be a really cute couple."

Jay's eyes went wide. "Wait, really?"

"Yeah." She laughed. "Although, anything would make you two cuter if it got you to stop fighting over me."

"Fair enough."

"Anyways," she said, bringing their attention back to the original subject. "Speaking of cute bi guys, I wanna hear what else Lloyd said about my brother!"

"Oh, right!" Jay looked back down at his phone. "'Cole blushed furiously. "I...I try," was all he could muster.'"

"He does," Nya commented.

"He so does. 'Fritz was jealous as fuck. "Well 'Kyle' is too hot. He melts my heart. I would smash."'"

Nya laughed again. "Oh, Lloyd!"

"Poor thirsty little Lloyd," Jay said in agreement. "He wants to smash so bad!"

"And he can't even use a dating app, thanks to quarantine. Oh well, at least he has ways of expressing himself. I appreciate his drunk honesty."

"I enjoy reading his drunk honesty. '"You already said that," Cole told him. Fritz scoffed. "Well, Lloyd is extremely drunk while he's writing this so get mad at him. He shouldn't be drinking as he's only twenty. He needs to be punished. By Kai."'" Jay clapped a hand over his mouth.

"It does not say that," Nya said in disbelief. She looked at his phone. "Oh, fuck, it does say that. Oh, First Spinjitzu Master!"

Jay could barely restrain his laughter. "Damn, I didn't know he was so kinky!"

"Who's kinky?"

The two jumped in alarm and looked up as the black ninja entered the room.

Jay visibly relaxed as he realized that the master of energy was nowhere to be seen. "Lloyd," he told him.

Cole raised an eyebrow. "Lloyd's kinky?"

"Very," Nya said. "He wrote this amazing fanfiction when he was drunk the other day."

"Fanfiction?" Cole asked, confused. "About what?"

"Oh, right, you haven't heard it," Jay remembered. "It's about Fritz Donnegan, Zane, and you. But it's basically just Lloyd pining over Kai."

Cole stared at the pair in shock. "Lloyd likes Kai?"

Nya nodded. "A whole lot. But don't tell him. As much as I like messing with that green bean, I certainly don't want to make things weird between them."

"I won't say a word," Cole promised. He strolled over and plopped down on the bed next to Jay. "Now, let's hear this drunk fanfiction!"

Jay turned back to the text. "'"The fuck?" Zane asked. "Well let's just hope this Kai person doesn't ever read Lloyd's story. Because that poor soul will be so embarrassed."'"

"Oh, shit," Nya muttered. "Yeah, let's not even mention this around Kai. Jay almost spilled Lloyd's secret already. We can't let Kai find out."

"Agreed," the blue ninja said. "I wasn't thinking straight."

Nya rolled her brown eyes. "Oh come on, Jay. We've already established that I'm the only person on our entire team who thinks straight."

Jay shrugged and continued reading. "'Cole nodded. "Poor kid. Quarantine probably got him all hungry and thirsty at the same time. He's probably going through smash withdrawals."'"

Cole burst out laughing. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe Lloyd would write that!"

"Join the club," Nya told him.

"Well, believe it," Jay said. "Because he added another author's note right here: 'And Lloyd was, although he hadn't gotten to smash Kai in the first place...yet. Lloyd hoped that would change, for he loved Kai more than anything—even alcohol, and that was saying a lot.'"

Cole rolled off the bed and onto the floor, laughing his ass off. "Aaaaagh! Poor Lloyd!"

Nya sat up straight, pulling her head off of her boyfriend's lap as she tried desperately to calm down. Jay had already flopped back onto the bed, hands covering his red face as he stopped trying to keep his laughter inside. He slowly pulled his phone back into his line of sight and skimmed the words on the screen.

"And here he breaks out into emo song lyrics. 'Wait I need to take a break in the story. I have been listening to this song called Runaways. And it's my favorite song. I got such a great idea! Kai, lets run away! They will have to find some other hearts to break. Because Kai you and I will run away! We'll run away together. We can stay young forever. Scream it from the top of your lungs lungs lungs oh wait that's a different song oh well okay.'"

"That's priceless," Cole said. "I love that so much. He was so drunk he mixed up All Time Low and Fall Out Boy. Our little emo king."

"What'd he write next?" Nya asked eagerly.

"'Fritz wished he could smash like Zane and Cole.'"

The black ninja facepalmed. "Oh, my gosh! Did he really write that?"

"Lloyd's a little fortune teller," Nya teased.

Cole's brown eyes went wide. "Zane and I haven't…"

Jay flashed his eyebrows. "You haven't yet."

Cole buried his reddening face in his palms, groaning in embarrassment.

Jay shrugged. "'They seemed so happy together. Everyone knew they belonged with each other.'"

"True," Nya said softly.

Cole's lips twisted into a faint smile at their words. Does everyone really think that? He sighed. I hope they're right.

"'Lloyd wished people thought the same thing about him and Kai. I MEAN Fritz wished people thought the same thing about him and Kyle. Yeah, that's it.'"

"Aww, that kid's breaking my heart," Nya murmured. "Poor thing!"

Jay nodded. "We need to get him someone to smash. After quarantine, of course."

"I so wish we could set him up with Kai," Nya said.

"Oh, they'd be so cute together!" The master of earth echoed.

Jay huffed. "Apparently Lloyd's characters think the same thing. '"Shall we see if we can set up Lloyd and Kai—I MEAN Fritz and Kyle?" Zane asked. Cole said, "Yeah let's see if we can do that. Fritz, where does Kyle live?" "Kyle lives in Ignacia," he answered. "He is a blacksmith and very attractive."' Accurate."

Cole stared at Jay, eyes wide. "Oh damn, he's falling hard, isn't he?"

The water ninja nodded. "Poor little guy. I had no idea someone could be so cute and so cringey at the same time!"

"And Kai doesn't...Kai doesn't know, right?" Cole clarified.

"He has no idea," she answered. "And nobody's going to tell him."

"Oh my gosh!" Jay exclaimed, drawing both of the black-haired ninja's eyes back to him. "Listen to this: '"Yes, he sounds like it," Cole said. "If I wasn't dating my amazing boyfriend Zane, I would probably try to smash too. Blacksmiths are hot. I like lava."'"

"What?!" The earth ninja exclaimed. "Lloyd thinks I like...aw, shit! Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I automatically want to bang every guy on our team!"

"Apparently Lloyd doesn't think so," Jay teased. "'Zane glared at him. "Well he would be the second person I smash," Cole corrected himself. "If I wasn't with Zane, I would first smash my friend Jay."' Wow, Cole! I'm flattered!"

Cole hid his face in embarrassment. "That's it. I'm gonna kill him."

"You were the one who gave him alcohol in the first place," Nya reminded him.

"Argh, don't remind me."

Nya turned back to her boyfriend. "I wanna hear how Lloyd thinks Zane would react to that."

Jay read the next line. "'Zane glared again.'"

The master of water shrugged. "That's fair."

'""But I won't smash anyone other than Zane," Cole reassured his boyfriend. A lightbulb went off in his head. "Hey Zane, do you want to have an—"' Oh, First Spinjitzu Master, how does Lloyd know what that word means?!"

Nya leaned over his shoulder. "What wo—oh my gosh!"

Cole jumped up on the bed next to the couple. "Lemme see that." He looked at Jay's screen where the blue ninja was pointing. "Holy shit!" He read his boyfriend's reaction, as portrayed by the drunk green ninja. "'"Fuck no."' Yeah, that's an instance in which I could imagine Zane swearing." He then read the final paragraph of the text message. "'"Okay then. There will be no smashing other people for me. Just Zane."' Well, at least I'm respectful in Lloyd's story. But one thing's for sure—that brat can wait 'til he's twenty-one to drink again, cause that's the last time I'm buying him alcohol."

Hope you enjoyed that craziness!

Yes, I was drunk when I wrote Lloyd's fanfiction—this all happened on the same night, I just had to break it up a bit.
