Back at the giant area where they were at moments ago, Miles could only stare out the giant window. Earth wasn't there. He still wish that this was all some insane dream that he was trapped in, but he knew a dream wouldn't last this long. Heck, he didn't even know what himself and the other members of the KND are going to do once all of this is all over and done. Earth's gone, it seems like the GKND just doomed all of them, including themselves.
He had no idea how things were going to ever be the same again. Now that Earth is destroyed, it seems like him and Julia are trapped up here in the Moon Base until most likely adulthood, and then death. If that's even possible without food running out, or arguments not ensuing. Then again, it doesn't seem possible to happen, the more he thinks about it.
Standing there, Miles leans on the rails that were looking down to the floor below, before he heard the sound of somebody coming into the room as well. The boy turns his head, wondering if it's either Fanny or Hoagie coming in to talk to him about what had happened moments ago. But when he looks behind himself, he was surprised to see his sister was the one who was trying to look around here. The girl walked over to the rails where her brother is standing at, before leaning against it along with him.
"You seem lonely over here, Miles." Julia said, placing her hands in her pockets.
"Eh, I'm just...thinking to myself, you know?" Miles said, before standing up from the rails. "It's just...bizarre to think that...a planet like Earth is no longer there...it feels like just yesterday that...it was still in tact, and...everyone we know and love still lives on it."
"Yeah...I know..."
"So..." Miles then turns around towards his sister. "...Are they done with...whatever that thing is that Numbah 2 had in his S.C.A.M.P.E.R. or is he still working on it? Because if we're going to try to take on those GKND members, aliens, kids, whatever, we're going to have to take on all of them before they take notice of the Moon Base next."
"I doubt they are planning on destroying the Moon Base, considering that it's a place where the KND have as a hideout. So I think we're good on that." Julia looks up at the Earth. "However, it's kind of surprising that the Earth blowing up didn't destroy the Moon Base first, considering that the moon is close to Earth anyway."
"With the GKND, I think they just got lucky."
"Yeah..."
"But...we can't just live here for the rest of our lives, right? Who knows how much food is up here, and how long that will even last? It's like there's no happy ending even if we do defeat those GKND guys..." Miles crosses his arms, leaning on the rails behind him. "I mean...I hate to sound completely pessimistic, but this just seems like the end of everything we know and love."
"Seems like it...yeah..." Julia sighed.
The two stood there thinking to themselves, before they heard more footsteps coming from the nearby corridor. The duo turned their heads towards the door to see who it is coming their way over. It was Fanny once again.
"There you two are!" Fanny said, walking over to them. "I thought you two were just roaming around the entire Moon Base just for jokes. You're lucky that we have bigger issues at hand."
"Did Numbah 2 get that machine thing ready?" Julia asked the red-haired one of the group.
"He made two in a couple of seconds. He thought it would be easier for two people to get into the minds of the others."
"He made two in just a few seconds?" Miles asked, rather surprised by two of those tube things being made in a short amount of time. "Hoagie isn't a quick learner to technology for nothing, huh?"
"No doubt about it, dude." Julia said, before the three of them started to make their way towards the room the other two boys were in. "So...what's the plan now? You didn't exactly tell us what you guys had in mind when it came to getting the others out."
"We're going to try our best to improvise in a situation like this..."
"That's not a plan, Fanny."
The girl with red hair glared behind herself at Julia, just as they were entering the hallway back to the office. "Well, I don't one hundred percent know the layout of the entire Galantic Kids Next Door base. So far, only you, Miles, and Nigel Uno are the only ones who seen it in person."
"Rachel hasn't seen that place yet?" Miles asked. "Considering that she is, in fact, the supreme leader, I would think to believe that she would be..."
"Stay out of this, Miles." Fanny turns her attention back to Julia. "Once all those others escape, you guys just go in and rescue them. It's as simple as that."
"What if they notice we are the ones who escaped that place? They would take us down instantly."
Fanny groans, annoyed at Julia trying to talk reason into this. "Look, we'll think of a plan when we get to trying to get to the GKND base. For now, let that planning go to me and Hoagie." Julia rolled her eyes hearing that.
"This sounds like it's going to backfire, big time."
"Oh, shut up..."
This was when they finally arrived at the office room Hoagie was still inside. The two arrived at the room, entering it as the boy inside stood by the two tubes inside the office with him.
"So...what now? We go in there and save the others?" Miles asked, looking over to Hoagie, who was standing over by the computer that's hooked up to the tube machines. "Who should we go free first?"
"I'm certain that Numbah 5 of all people is the one you should be freeing out of all of them, since she is the one who is now the leader of Sector V." Hoagie suggests to Miles and his sister. "Obviously, since it seems like there's got to be two people inside of that machine to find every in there, I believe that you two should be the ones who should go."
"Are you nuts?!" Fanny asked, waving a fist at Hoagie. "Why should they enter their imaginations?"
"Well, we can't risk you getting caught by the GKND...I'm the only one who can control a machine like this...and there's no way I'm asking Tommy to go in there to save my friends." Hoagie said to the only other KND member in the office right now. "So that only leaves you two."
"Are these tubes safe to go inside?" Miles asked.
"If Tommy's been in it on the S.C.A.M.P.E.R., then it can be safe for you two." Hoagie then starts up the two machines, before looking at the siblings again. "We don't have time to lose. Get in there and I'll be able to send you inside that machine."
"Alright. Wish us luck on trying to find a way into their imaginations." Julia said, before stepping into one of the two machines. "We're probably going to need it..."
"Alright...let's get this thing started then..."
Hoagie started to press a couple buttons on the nearby control panel, getting the tube machines to turn on. The lights above the two teens inside the tubes started to turn on above them. The sound of the walls around them were vibrating, rather rapidly, but that was pretty much the same thing that happened when Tommy entered their imaginations as well. The brother and sister closed their eyes, just as they entered the imaginations of the operatives that are still stuck at the GKND base.
After a couple seconds later...
The two woke up, standing back to back from each other...
It was unlike they've ever seen before...
They didn't exactly know where they were, but the only thing they do know is that they are now inside their own imagination, their own subconscious. They didn't expect it to be completely clear of color around them while they were there, as well as a lack of everything around them. Is this really what their own imagination REALLY looked like? They thought it would be a lot more better than this.
Miles and Julia walked away from each other, before looking at each other, wondering where to go from here. The duo stood there for a couple seconds, before the sound of Hoagie's voice came from above them. But he was nowhere to be seen.
"Miles, Julia, can you guys hear me?" Hoagie said out of nowhere. Miles held the side of his ear, wondering how talking to Hoagie is going to work.
"Loud and clear, Hoagie." Miles said.
"Great. Also, you can lower your hand now, you look like a goofball doing that."
Julia looks over to her brother, crossing her arms, and then giving him a smirk. Miles lowers his own arm, just as a couple button pressing sounds were heard from above. Then a bright door appeared in the distance.
"See this door? This is what Tommy walked into so that he can go inside to save you guys." Hoagie explains to them. "Just enter through this door so that you can get your journey started."
The two walked into the door, just as the brightness inside this corridor was beginning to no longer be hurting towards the eyes. The two were now inside of the hallway, all leading to a bunch of different doors. The doors of Julia and Miles were nowhere, considering that they were already free from their own imagination worlds already.
Miles looks at all of the doors, seeing the name 'Abigail' on one of the doors. The boy then looks over to his sister, before pointing at the door that was there. Julia walks over to be one her brother's side, before thinking about it for a bit.
"So...what? Do we just enter that room first? Or should we do one of the other ones first?" Julia asked. Miles kept his eyes on the door that was in front of him.
"Hmm, Hoagie DID tell us to go in this room first. Mostly because Numbah 5 is the new leader of Sector V once again." Miles said. "So...if I was in the dessert, you were in an abandoned town, what do you think? Do you think everyone else is in different parts of the world or something?"
"That...would seem to be logical. But where would Nigel put Numbah 5 anyway?"
"I don't think I know." Miles held onto the handle to the door. "...But we're about to find out." The two opened the door, and then entered the next room that Abigail was in.
