Chapter 26

"You have a lot of friends." Misty mutters to the man beside her as they near an empty room May says large a large window they can escape out of. Paul was supposed to be waiting outside of it to escort them, but he's in his own mess right now. However, May says the area outside the window is pretty much clear.

"You're my only friend." Ash chuckles because he knows Hayden Family has no friends.

Although Misty loves to hear she's Ash's only something, she knows he's being too modest right now. Yes, everyone has constantly denied being friends, though this mission proves otherwise. "No one risks their lives for someone they just considers a coworker."

"Who else is here?" Ash curiously asks once they're inside the empty room.

"May, Paul, and Dawn." Misty sets down Ash so that she can open the window.

"Who's Dawn?"

Seeing that no one is outside, Misty opens the window and looks over at Ash. "She found your papers and hat."

He stands up to hobble over to her, which makes Misty roll her eyes at him trying to be independent. "I guess I gotta thank her for that." the man sheepishly smiles. With the moonlight streaking through the window, Ash finds this woman utterly beautiful. Even though the sound of bullets and fighting can be heard in the hallway, and they're not quite safe yet, Ash just wants to pause everything to gaze into these eyes he's missed. "I like your orange hair better."

Misty blushes as she is entranced by his eyes as well. Oh she's missed his warm sincere brown orbs that always get her to forgive him. "Whenever you leave me, I'll dye it black."

He kisses her lips and quickly pulls away with that damn goofy grin of his. "I won't leave you again. I promise, Mist." And she knows he won't because this is the first time he's ever promised not to leave her. Ash Ketchum always keeps his promises. He then returns his attention to the open window where he slowly climbs out of it first.

Once Ash is out, Misty shakes herself from the kiss as a deep blush appears on her face. This is definitely not the time for her to act on her feelings for Ash, even if she's excited to see him alive after all these months of uncertainty. She soon slips out of the window, but the pair didn't expect to be faced with the dirty cop running towards them.

Misty instantly recognizes this officer. "Rudy." She narrows her eyes and pushes Ash into the bushes. Misty hadn't suspected Rudy to be a dirty cop because he was so righteous and went by the book while she worked with him. However, sometimes it's the ones who are least expected that are the traitors.

When Rudy reaches them, his gun is pointed at Misty, and Ash has moved in the brush. "Where's Ketchum, Detective?"

With her hands up in defense, Misty shrugs. "I never thought you'd be working for the Hayden Family."

"That shitty cop salary is nothing for what we do. You know that." Rudy then grins at Misty. "Join me, Misty. I'll make sure you're safe."

Misty rolls her eyes because it's no secret that Rudy has a crush on her. Everyone in their department knew, especially Gary who wouldn't stop teasing her. "I'd rather die."

Rudy's smile falls, but he seems to accept her fate. "What a shame, Misty. You and me would've been very successful Hayden Family members."

"I'm already with a more successful Hayden Family member."

"Who?" He's curious which dirty cop managed to get his crush's attention.

"Me!"

The shout startles Rudy who is no match for the second best fighter in the Hayden Family, although Ash is still extremely injured. He had snuck through the bushes until reaching a dark shadowy area where he stealthily crept his way back to Misty and the cop. While the two men are engaged in a fight, Misty grabs Rudy's gun before hopping in.

As much as she trusts Ash's skills, he's too hurt to put up a good fight, and she can't afford for him to get more injuries. Plus, Misty knows she's a better fighter than the dirty cops, so she easily fends off Rudy. When Rudy falls to the ground after a kick from Misty, he pulls out a whistle from around his neck and blows into it before Misty knocks him out.

However, the short whistle was enough as Misty notices flashlights headed in their direction. "Fuck! Let's go, Ash!" He nods, and the two hobble away into the trees as many dirty cops chase after them.

Down the Street

"I was wondering who could be helping Matthew." May smirks with her hands raised in defense.

"Surprise! I got your job at Hayden Co. after you left, but too bad you're not trustworthy enough for Matthew." the woman smuggly replies. "Turn around, so I can see the fear on your face when I kill you."

May recognizes the voice as Brianna who interviewed alongside her when they first applied to Hayden Corporation's technician position. Turning around confirms her identity, but May won't let the new technician see any weakness. "You talk a lot when you have a gun in your hand."

"You took that job from me, so now I'm gonna take your life." Brianna says unfazed. "And then I'm gonna rescue Drew from Matthew, and he'll fall in love with me."

Rolling her eyes, May tells her, "I was better qualified for that job. And Drew will never love you." Since May has only ever interacted with Brianna at the interview years ago, she knows nothing about this salmon haired woman who apparently has a huge crush on Drew. Yes, May sees that Drew is the most attractive Hayden their age, but that can't be the only reason Brianna wants him, right? Has she ever even interacted with him? May highly doubts it because Drew would've warned her of another technician.

"Bang!" The brunette falls down in pain as blood gushes from her left thigh. She clutches it tightly but resists the urge to scream or cry out because Brianna doesn't deserve that satisfaction. If May is going to die, she'll die strong.

Glaring at her, Brianna says, "Watch what you say, Maple. Matthew wants you alive to watch him kill your family."

Her family? May angrily furrows her brows because no one threatens her family. She's tired of Hayden Family holding them over her head when they're completely innocent. Looking up, her sapphire orbs meet dark brown as she spits out, "Matthew is dying tonight."

Brianna just grins. "Fine with me because then I get to kill you tonight." However, when May starts laughing, this confuses the woman with the gun. Why is May laughing when she is clearly going to die? May can't fight, and Brianna has the gun.

Unfortunately for the unwounded woman, May also has a gun. She thought about giving it to Dawn but realized that Dawn doesn't know how to shoot. Therefore, May kept it for herself, especially since May doesn't know how to fight. The knife is better off with Dawn. Seeing the confused Brianna gives May her opportunity, and she quickly pulls her gun out while rolling away from Brianna's.

Before the salmon haired woman can register what just happened, she feels an intense pain in her back. Another bullet hits her leg, causing her to fall, and May shoots her arm so that she drops the gun. Even though May doesn't know how to fight, she knows how to use a gun. She had Drew teach her years ago because she needs a way to defend herself in this dangerous line of work. May obviously isn't that good with the gun, but she is better than the average human, especially Brianna.

Limping painfully over to Brianna, May glares down at her. She grabs Brianna's gun to put in her own waistband. "Don't ever speak about my family or Drew again."

Brianna is upset that she let May get the best of her due to Brianna's own arrogance. She should've expected May to know some defensive. Plus, Brianna wants Drew, and May is standing in her way. Now, Brianna will die without ever getting to tell him her feelings while this brunette gets him all to herself. It's not fair! May Maple always gets everything! Looking up at May from the ground, Brianna painfully says, "You better kill me now or I'll come back for you."

"I'm not a killer." May had only shot Brianna in the back of her side and her limbs. She hopes the wounds aren't fatal, but this was a life or death situation for her. Besides, May's leg is in excruciating pain, and she needs to leave to help her team. Grabbing her laptop, May hobbles off. "I'll call you an ambulance." she tells the woman bleeding heavily.

Outside Hayden Mansion

Paul takes another hit to the face, causing him to cough out more blood. He had managed to avoid most of Lucas's knife thrusts while disarming the assassin, but Lucas is much faster than Paul. When his ear piece started screeching, that allowed Lucas to catch up to Paul as the fighter ripped out the earpiece. Now, Paul is fighting this assassin blindly without any notice of possible help coming his way.

"I'm gonna kill you and then your little girlfriend." Lucas grins as he lands another punch on Paul's side.

The fighter is used to years of fighting, so he's unfazed by this hit. Even though Lucas is faster, Paul is stronger. The purple haired man grabs Lucas's arm and snaps his wrist before getting hit by Lucas's other fist. Lucas is surprised that Paul has lasted this long since the assassins are supposed to be the better fighters in the Hayden Family. Though, Lucas has never sparred against Paul before.

Fortunately for Lucas, he has a much higher pain tolerance than Paul, allowing him to fight through the broken wrist. He tackles Paul to the ground where the assassin throws more punches at Paul's face. Lucas then quickly reaches for the knife in his boot where he holds it to Paul's throat. With a sinister grin on his face, Lucas asks, "Any last words?"

A few months ago, Paul would have welcomed this scenario. He wouldn't have put up much of a fight against an assassin if it ever came to an encounter like this, but this isn't a few months ago. This is now. After Ash disappeared. After he and a group of people decided to rescue Ash. After Paul met Dawn. Therefore, Paul isn't ready to die just yet because he promised a certain troublesome woman that he wouldn't leave her.

"Yeah." The fighter smiles through the blood dripping from his mouth. A familiar pair of midnight blue eyes pop into his mind and he prepares himself for his fate. Paul was bound to die early along with his family eventually, and even though he wants to live now, he knows death is inevitable. At least the past two months were filled with the most joy he's had since he was a child, and it's all thanks to her. "I love Dawn Berlitz."

Scoffing, Lucas presses the blade tightly against Paul's throat; however, the assassin feels an intense pain in his arm and loosens his grip as a "Bang!" erupts in the field. This allows Paul to flip Lucas off of him before knocking out the assassin. As much as Paul would like for Lucas to die and be off of them for good, Paul isn't a killer.

Slowly getting up, Paul glances over at the gunshot sound from earlier where he spots that troublesome bluenette holding Lucas's forgotten gun. The gun is still in between her shaky hands while her eyes are open wide with shock. Paul stands up to walk over to the fearful woman where he gently pushes her hands down and removes the gun from them.

Once Dawn's hands are free, she embraces Paul in a tight hug, which he welcomes. "I was so scared." Her trembling voice mutters into his chest, and Paul finds himself holding her closer.

The sound of gunfire throughout the premises is forgotten as the two are entranced in their own bubble where they're relieved to see each other alive. Despite the shaking woman in his arms, Paul feels more scared than her. Why is she here? How had she managed to get here unscathed? She just saved him from death, and she was his last thought. Is he still alive or is this heaven? No, he wouldn't go to heaven for all of his crimes, so this has to still be life.

"I love you." the man mutters out of breath as his heart pounds.

Even though Dawn had heard him say it earlier to the assassin, hearing him say it directly to her hits differently. She holds him tighter as tears drip from her eyes because she almost lost this man she loves. If she hadn't shown up when she did, Paul wouldn't be here right now. Dawn never wants this man to hurt anymore than the amount of pain he's endured in his young life. "I love you too, Paul."

Gosh, Paul is satisfied with this. He can die now, though he'd prefer not to so that he can spend the rest of his life with her. This moment right here tells Paul that she isn't his weakness. Rather, she's his strength. She's the reason he fought hard and long against Lucas who should've killed Paul within 10 minutes. She's the reason Paul is still alive right now. Paul has been viewing her wrong these past two months because she is actually his greatest strength.

"Let's go." he releases her and grabs her hand as they run into the darkness of the brush. As much as Paul would love to make out with Dawn and stay in her embrace, the reality of the situation tells him otherwise. To his surprise, Dawn is able to keep up with him as they sprint back to the street.

Inside Hayden Mansion

"May is the best." Drew smirks at Matthew.

"I'm the one with the gun, Andrew." the older man presses the barrel against Drew's forehead, and he's annoyed when Drew's glare doesn't waver. "I knew I should've killed you along with your parents."

"I knew you had something to do with that." hisses Drew.

"Do you really think Galactic Gang has the strength to kill two Haydens, especially when they're favored in ruling the family?"

"You're a monster!" shouts the angry young man as he fights back his tears. Matthew doesn't deserve these tears meant for Drew's parents because Matthew is the one who killed them out of greed. Drew will avenge his parents.

Shrugging, Matthew explains how he killed Drew's parents so that Matthew could be the leader of the family. Drew's father was getting too much support, but Matthew claims a true Hayden knows how to get what they want. Of course, Drew gets more and more furious with each word Matthew speaks, which causes his guards to struggle holding the young man down.

"I'm gonna kill you and then all of your little friends you've made. I don't know how you managed to get all of these people to come on this stupid little mission of yours, but this is the last time you have any sort of power as a Hayden."

"I'm not a Hayden!" Drew exclaims as his body shakes.

"No matter how much either of us wishes you aren't, you still are. You're a Hayden, and you can never escape this corrupted blood in your veins." Matthew grins at Drew, and soon, the sound of a helicopter can be heard. "Well, it was fun while it lasted, nephew." The older man presses the gun tighter to Drew's temple. "It's a shame you weren't my son, though. You'd make a great heir."

Unfortunately, Matthew hasn't known too much about Drew's trainings with Paul and Ash throughout the years, so he doesn't know how skilled Drew is at fighting. Drew quickly ducks his head away from the gun before throwing the man holding onto his left arm into Matthew who shoots his gun. Of course, the bullet hits the floor while Drew fights off the other thugs. Matthew shoots his gun into the fight, killing two of his own men.

As Matthew loses sight of Drew while his own men are falling right after the other, he runs. The helicopter should be landing any second now, and he will be the only one getting on it. Sprinting past the scuffle, Matthew escapes up the many stairs to the roof access door where he opens it to reveal the helicopter hovering above.

A ladder is instantly dropped, making him smirk at his escape. Matthew Hayden Sr.'s reign isn't over yet. He grabs the ladder, but gunshots ring out from the helicopter. Since Matthew knows these are his men, he pays the gunshots no attention even when they soon stop. However, Matthew is aware of a new weight on the bottom of the ladder, causing him to look down and see none other than Drew.

Clicking his tongue, Matthew pulls out his gun while he hangs onto the ladder. He points it down to Drew who has closed the gap between them. Before Matthew can shoot his nephew though, Drew grabs the leader's legs off the rung, making Matthew dangle by his left hand. The weight of Drew hanging onto Matthew's lower body is too much for his one hand, so the older man falls with Drew back onto the roof of Hayden Mansion.

Fortunately for them both, the fall is only 15ft, resulting in no broken bones. Although, they both have the wind knocked out of them as they're gasping for air on the roof. Each man is crouched over and wincing from the fall while Matthew is wondering what's taking the gunmen in the helicopter so long to shoot Drew. When he hears a gunshot, Matthew grins at his victory.

Nonetheless, he next hears a loud crash and explosion below which shakes the building. The sound of the helicopter blades whirring are gone, which makes Matthew mentally curse about the situation. Luckily for him, he recovers from the fall quicker than Drew, so Matthew stands up to slowly walk towards the younger man. Pulling out his gun, Matthew extends his arm towards Drew to finish off this annoying pest that he's never wanted in his family.

Drew, though, needs to go see a certain brunette and protect her from whatever harm Matthew is bringing her way. The young man promised his crush that he'd always protect her, so he's not going to die like this. He'll fight for May, and he'll fight for his happiness because for the first time since his parents were murdered, May makes Drew feel like living isn't so bad after all. That airheaded woman who's only focused on technology has brought hope into his once reckless life, which is the reason he loves her. Yes, Drew Hayden loves May Maple, and he needs to tell her in person.

He quickly disarms Matthew, although Matthew isn't the head of the Hayden Family for no reason. The leader and Drew engage in a fist fight as the gun gets kicked away. Despite Drew's youth, Matthew is a lot stronger and more experienced, making it an even fight. Matthew is fighting for survival of his reign while Drew is avenging his parents. Moreover, Drew wants this family to disappear forever too, which starts with Matthew's removal.

As Drew gets hit by a hard punch to the chin, his vision becomes a little hazy, allowing Matthew to land more blows on him. When Drew falls to the ground in dizziness and pain, Matthew quickly rushes over to the forgotten gun. Blinking as he fights the fatigue, Drew manages to stand up to tackle Matthew away from the gun.

The two wrestle on the ground, but Drew has the upper hand now since he's throwing punches at Matthew's face. The fury Drew has from his parents' murder, the anger of all of Matthew's crimes towards innocent people, and the rage Drew has for Matthew harming May's family causes the young man to passionately throw punch after punch. Drew doesn't stop when he breaks Matthews nose nor does he stop when Matthew starts coughing up blood. With tears in his eyes from all the pain he's endured growing up, Drew lets his emotions flow as he beats the barely conscious man.

Once Matthew is hardly moving as blood covers his face and his eyes are purple, Drew tiredly stands up. Walking over to Matthew's gun, the young man picks it up where he shakily points it at his uncle. Drew chuckles to himself because this guy has never been an uncle to him. This once powerful man who everyone feared is now coughing out the blood he is laying in. "Your reign of terror is over."

"Bang!"

The coughing stops as the body goes limp and blood oozes from the gunshot wound on Matthew's head. Drew looks around where he spots a woman in black walking towards him with her gun at her side. He had been curious as to who shot those gunmen in the helicopter and who shot down the helicopter. Gosh, Drew should've known Leaf would show up eventually.

Putting down his arm with the gun loosely in his hand, Drew looks away from the scene. He's seen a few dead bodies, but with the Hayden Family treating him as a pest, he rarely engages in their activities. The events of the past couple of minutes fly back to him, making him drop the gun as his hands tremble. While he didn't kill Matthew, Drew knows he had something to do with the leader's death.

A soft hand on his shoulder gets his attention from his dreadful thoughts, and he looks over at the assassin who smiles warmly at him. "You're not a killer, Drew." Those few words seem to get to him, allowing Drew to think more clearly now. Even if Leaf is just being nice right now, that's all Drew needs to get them out of here before Galactic Gang blows up the place.

Leaf knows what killing can do to someone. How it can make them feel like a monster, especially after their first one, which is why she's been doing all of the killing for everyone. As a notorious assassin, she already has many deaths under her belt, and while she would like to stop killing, Matthew's death is warranted.

"The place is gonna blow soon!" Drew exclaims when he checks his watch.

"Make sure our people are out!" Leaf hurriedly tells him as she walks away.

"Where are you going?" Drew panics because he thought they were going to leave together. Matthew is dead and Ash has been rescued. What else does Leaf have to do?

"It's not over until we get Junior too." she tells him, and when their green eyes meet, Drew knows there's no arguing with her.

"Fine! Meet up with us later! You have 7 minutes!" he shouts before sprinting off into the mansion.

Walking over to Matthew's dead body where Leaf can see his lifeless dark eyes, she says to the former leader, "I warned you."

Street

While on their way to the meetup location, Paul and Dawn run into Ash and Misty fighting off some dirty cops. There was a trail of unconscious officers by the time they finally found the Kanto natives, but now Paul and Dawn are helping with the fight. Fortunately for Dawn, Paul's crash course in self defense is helping. Of course, Paul is keeping an eye on her since these officers are nothing compared to the guards at the Hayden Mansion.

As Paul throws a man in the direction of Ash, he shouts, "Duck!"

Fortunately, the raven haired man has quick reflexes, which Paul knew about. "Thanks, Paul!" Ash grins since the man Paul threw hit another man coming at Ash.

"I'm the only one killing you." Paul glares at Ash for starting this whole mess.

With a chuckle, Ash replies, "I'll let you get three free hits on me, Paul."

"Nah, you're dying."

"Can't." grins the raven haired man as his eyes turn to Misty fighting off two officers. "I promised I wouldn't leave her again."

"You're not leaving her." Paul narrows his eyes at Ash. "I'm taking you from this world."

"Are you guys really having a conversation right now?" Dawn exclaims while struggling with a male officer.

Rolling his eyes, Paul easily knocks out the man he's fighting before quickly taking care of the officer Dawn was losing to. "You're troublesome."

"My name is Dawn!"

Ash's eyes light up at the outburst and he smiles at the bluenette. "So you're Dawn!" Paul glares at Ash for talking to Dawn since Paul likes her. Ash needs to focus on Misty who Paul has rarely spoken to.

"Guys!" Misty shouts in annoyance as she finishes off the last officer. Ash leans against a car parked on the street because his broken ankle is killing him, but fortunately, Misty rushes over to support him. "We have to go! The place is gonna blow!"

"Blow?" Ash inquires while they all rush off to May.

"Yeah, dumbass. We got a bomb." Paul mutters.

"Be nice, Paul." Dawn sternly tells him, causing him to roll his eyes.

Despite not liking death, Ash knows this has to happen. The Hayden Family is far too strong if they don't take a large hit like this. Blowing up the mansion with a significant amount of Hayden Family members will give the clean authorities a chance to finally take the Family down for good.

"It's not our bomb." Misty huffs out, so Paul now supports Ash's other side. "It's Galactic Gang's." Ash nods because he had seen the Galactic Gang members inside with Drew, and he was surprised when they didn't attack him and Misty.

"Over here, guys!" The shout gets everyone's attention as they turn to see May who is supposed to be further down the street.

"May!" Ash happily exclaims as his eyes light up, much to Misty's annoyance. Since it is not the time for reunions, May only smiles at him. She'll save the hug for later.

"What are you doing down here? The place is gonna blow!" Paul asks because May was far enough away from the mansion, making it the meetup spot.

"I ran into some trouble." she points down the road where they're starting to hear sirens approaching.

"More dirty cops?" Misty asks, but May shakes her head.

"Ambulance. I'm not a killer."

Ash gives her a warm smile for this. "I'm proud of you, May." Misty will save her jealousy for later because she sees that they're still missing a significant portion of their team.

"Did you guys see Drew?" the brunette worriedly asks. Ever since Brianna caused her to lose connection with the team, she hasn't had a way to communicate with them. Many of the cameras in the mansion have been destroyed, so May can't find Drew on them anymore. The technician has just been waiting near the mansion for signs of her crush and teammates.

"He went after Matthew." Ash tells her. Being gone for two months, he has no idea the types of relationships developed amongst his colleagues. Therefore, he doesn't know about May's and Drew's confessions to each other. He also doesn't know anything about Dawn as well as how this bubbly woman is hanging around Paul.

Seeing May's concerned gaze makes Dawn put a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be out soon, May." She reassures the technician.

"He better."

"You better not do anything stupid and run into there like this troublesome woman." Paul mutters as he glares at Dawn who sticks her tongue out at him.

"You're still so mean."

He shrugs and the group soon stops talking as a loud eruption shakes the neighborhood. They look over to see Hayden Mansion in flames while a few more bombs go off. Many Galactic Gang members are fleeing from the scene and hopping inside vehicles before the authorities arrive. The flames illuminate the dark sky in orange, and the group can feel the heat despite the mansion being very far away.

"No." May gasps as tears well in her eyes. Dawn quickly hugs the brunette while everyone else looks away. Ash closes his eyes in frustration. Drew, Gary, and Leaf had come to rescue him, but they just lost their lives for him. He never wanted anyone to die for him, especially since three lives were lost for his one.

Paul clenches his fists as he fights back the tears. Although he never considered anyone in the Hayden Family his friend, he held a special spot in his life for Drew and Leaf. Paul interacted with Drew the most, though Drew annoyed him heavily. However, Paul basically grew up with Drew once he entered the Hayden Family. That dumbass was supposed to come out! He was the one fighting so hard to rescue Ash and get Galactic Gang involved!

And Leaf! This whole plan was hers. As much as her flirting annoys Paul, she's one of the few people Paul didn't hate. Heck, even that ex-cop who was a spy should've come out too! They were supposed to rescue Ash, not lose more people. When Paul feels a warm soft hand envelop his, his thoughts are shaken, causing him to look over at Dawn.

She's still hugging May but holding Paul's hand too. This troublesome bluenette is always protecting Paul in her own way. She truly is his strength, and he's glad she lived. This is not her scene, so she should've never been dragged into it. Though, Paul is very glad that she was because it meant he got to meet her. Squeezing her hand, Paul takes a deep breath. They can mourn later, but they need to flee too.

Buzzing gets their attention, and May quickly pulls out her phone after separating from Dawn. She sees the caller ID is the man she was just crying for, making her smile happily as she eagerly picks it up. "Drew!"

"Gary and I got caught up with Galactic Gang, but we'll meet up with you later." pants Drew through the phone.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah! We're fine! Just go before the cops come!"

Before May can ask more questions, the call is ended. She pockets her phone to look back up and see the expectant faces of the two couples. "Oh!" May sheepishly smiles through her happy tears. "He and Gary made it out."

"What about Leaf?" Paul asks.

May frowns. "I didn't get to ask."

"I'm sure she made it!" Ash tries to cheer up the group. "It's Leaf, guys. She's the one most likely to survive out of all of us."

Nodding Paul agrees with his colleague. "It's very Leaf-like to do this too. I'm sure we'll see her tomorrow."

Even though Misty wasn't a fan of Leaf, she is worried for the assassin. Leaf had run off after Matthew who Drew also went to find. If they both got to Matthew, how come Leaf isn't with Drew? However, Ash and Paul do know Leaf the best, so Misty will just believe them. An assassin is known to disappear; therefore, Misty will wait along with the rest of the group. Besides, they all agreed to meet up tomorrow.

"We gotta go!" Dawn exclaims and runs off with Paul.

"Meet tomorrow." Paul huffs out before the couple disappear. Everyone had decided on a different hiding spot tonight in case anything backfired from the attack. Paul and Dawn are obviously going back to his second house while Gary and Leaf are supposed to disappear to an abandoned building. Drew has a secret place for him and May while Misty has one for her and Ash. As much as May wanted Misty and Ash to join her and Drew, Drew told her it'd be too dangerous to have too many of them gathered together right away.

Tomorrow, after the dust has settled, they will gauge the impact of the attack. If it seems safe enough to meet, the group will meet up at around noon. If not, they will meet later at night at a designated area where they will discuss the next steps. Only time will tell how successful their mission was tonight.
