These people really like wearing strange outfits.

Mukuro observed the people walking in the streets as he followed behind a five-year-old Naruto. He did not know what happened after the beating she experienced from the old lady but he did know the girl must have been rescued from that place. Her bones were not as visible as before but he could still see from her small size that the girl was still malnourished.

He could see various adults glaring at the blond-haired girl. It was rather…strange. Even when the Familigia had been disbanded by the Mafia, not once had anyone stare at him, Ken or Chikusa with such cold eyes. The old lady blamed the girl for murdering her son and grandson, which made no sense, but now he began to wonder what was the story behind Naruto.

Pushing his hands through his pockets, Mukuro took note of the streets. Despite the fact the streets were wide, he caught no sight of any landlines or even any cars. There were no trains or any modern form of transport. The only forms of transport that he could see were carts being carried by horses. It is like someone travelled back in time. He chuckled at the thought and stared at the blond-haired girl.

The little girl was filled with smiles as her blue eyes took in the various stores. It was odd if you asked Mukuro. How could the girl smile when someone glared at her? He stroke his chin and observed the girl carefully. Her blue eyes was filled with happiness and her blond-hair looked so much cleaner. Nothing about her appearance suggest she was not happy.

Mukuro winced as he felt something punching him. I guess the Juudaime of the Vongola Familigia is trying to attack. It was a good thing that not all of his conscious was in this body. It would have made watching the blonde's memories a difficulty for him. He inhaled and darted his eyes back to the smiling blond-haired girl.

The young child's eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity at the sight of a toy stall. It was a rather strange toy stall if you asked Mukuro. Instead of the usual toys of barbies, transformers of any of the usual toys. There were balls, toy kunais, shurikens alongside dolls and other types of toys. It was quite interesting to see that the blond-haired girl did not go for the dolls but instead for the kunai.

Mukuro watched as the girl reached out for the toy kunai. She inspected it, looking at it with curious blue eyes before flickering to the trees. He raised a single eyebrow and looked to where the girl stared. It was the same teenager who had been watching the blond-haired girl when that elderly woman beat her.

He is always watching her. That made Mukuro paused. If he considered the powerful beast inside the girl and the words spoken by the elderly woman, he must guess the girl was someone important to this place. But if she was important than why mistreat her? Then again humans were the cruelest beasts. It does not matter if you are related to them or not, they would always hurt people.

"You little scoundrel!" Mukuro snapped his head to the stall owner. He was a man in his early-mid thirties with dark brown hair and had brown eyes radiating with rage and pure, cold hatred as he grabbed the girl by the collar of her shirt. He expected the man to smack her hand and scream at her but what he did instead…surprised him.

The man not only slapped the toy off of the girl's hands but threw her across the stall. The little girl slammed against the other stall and various fruits and vegetables crashed down upon her. The rather loud crash drew the attention of the crowds, who stopped what they were doing and began crowding the stalls like a bunch of hungry, curious animals that were dying for entertainment.

Mukuro darted his eyes to the tree and saw the teen bringing out his kunai, only for someone else to hold him back. He knitted his eyebrows at the secret hand signals being sent between them and watched as the teen slipped the kunai back into his pocket. Mukuro didn't know what the other male had said to the teen but he guessed that it must have calmed him down.

Naruto rubbed the sides of her head and stood up from the ground. Watermelon juice and tomato juice coloured her hair and lettuce as well as other vegetables were tangled in her hair. Blue eyes narrowed and Mukuro could only laugh. Did the girl believe she was considered scary? Her glares were like that of a cute little animal.

Not terrifying at all.

But it seemed like he was the only one to share this thought. The shopkeeper shuddered and then glared at the girl before picking up the toy kunai alongside other various toys. Mukuro kept his expression blank as the man flung the toy at her. It smacked her forehead, causing cuts on her forehead and Naruto just rubbed her forehead as people did nothing to stop the man.

He waited for the child to wail at the action but Mukuro could see the girl rubbing her eyes as if trying to stop herself from crying. The blond-haired girl inhaled and exhaled before looking at the man glaring at her. Anger coloured her eyes and the girl grinded her teeth together as her hand clutched the toy kunai close to her chest.

"What is your problem, Old Man!" She yelled as her shoulders trembled. "I only touched the toy!"

The owner growled and his eyes radiated with so much fury while the other people in the crowds just glared at the girl. Mukuro waited for the girl to just cry at the glares or to curl into a little ball at the glares. But Naruto just held her head high and scowled at the man as her hand clutched the kunai close to her chest.

"She is a bad seed."

"A cursed child."

"She only looks like a human child."

There were more whispers that were coming out from the crowds of people, who glared at Naruto. Even though she looked like she was five, Mukuro could see she understood what they were talking about. Her jaws clenched even tighter together and her blue eyes leaked with sadness and fury but still no tears came out of her eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Naruto yelled, glaring at the adults. Their cold eyes did not fade at all, only becoming even more icy and the blonde sniffed. Mukuro watched the girl as she curled the toy around her hands. "Stop looking at me!"

Her scream echoed throughout the streets but the adults did not seem to stop glaring at the girl. Not that it surprised Mukuro. Humans were cruel and this just confirmed what he knew about humans. I just don't understand why the girl didn't just kill them. He would have unleashed that monster on them but that girl only glared at them.

He watched as the man flung another toy at the girl and Mukuro watched with blank eyes as the blonde pushed people out of the way with her head down. The only thing toy he saw Naruto take was the toy kunai and a ball. Everything else was just scattered on the ground as various eyes glared at the girl.

"I will have to get new fucking products because of that demon," The shop owner growled as the people looked at the owner with pity. "Why the hell did the Third Hokage allow the monster to live?"

The world around him began to fade to black as Mukuro watched the same teen coming down from the tree and heading straight to the shop owner.

What is so painful about being in the Grocery store?

That was the only thought running through Mukuro's mind as he watched a seven-year-old Naruto strolled inside the grocery store with a basket in one hand and a frog-like wallet in her eyes. The blond-haired girl had a large smile on her lips as her blue eyes looked with eagerness in the various items in the store. She bounced in her steps as her hand reached for shiny vegetables and fruits.

"Gama-chan, you are so full because of the Hokage-jiji!" Naruto chirped as her blue eyes gleamed with happiness at the wallet. Mukuro knitted his eyebrows together when he saw the currency was different from the Japanese currency. It looks more similar to the one in my previous life. The thought made him paused and Mukuro wondered where the girl actually came from.

It must be a country that seemed to be separated from the whole world. A country that not many people knew about. But it made him wonder how the girl came into this part of the world. He didn't need to know why she came. With the memories that keep flooding in, he figured the girl just gave up on the place that treated her less than human.

He would have destroyed them all.

"But you are going to be less full!" Naruto declared with a pout as her blue eyes darted to the wallet. A wide smile played on her lips and Naruto picked up a couple of cumbers. "Today is the day I'm going to try and make some bentos for Hinata-chan, Choji and Shikamaru!"

He raised a single eyebrow at her cheerfulness. How could the girl be so chipper after what happened in her past? She had people whipped her in the back. A man throwing toys and vegetables crashing down her head. If Mukuro hadn't fought the girl, he would have believe the girl was just simply an idiot. But the girl was smarter than her ally.

Then again anyone would be smarter than that Skylark.

Shaking his head, Mukuro hovered over the girl and watched as the blonde continued to grab vegetables, rice, noodles and other sort of items. It was hard for him to figure out what the child was planning to make but he would have to salute her. Even when the Familigia had been disbanded, he did not try to do what the girl did.

He simply found another Familigia and took advantage of them before killing them.

"Hinata-chan and Choji will like anything I make," Naruto commented as she put another item in her basket. A huge sigh escaped from her lips and the blonde knitted her eyebrows together. "Shikamaru is going to be the picky one even though he is a lazy ass. But I guess it isn't a big deal…he is my friend too! But then again Choji and him only hang out with me when I skip class, but I can't complain."

Mukuro raised his eyebrows when he saw the joy in her eyes. Was she happy even though those two boys did not hang out with her after school? It was strange. But it also makes me wonder how she changed from being a happy-go-lucky girl to that. He stroke his chin and watched as the blonde continued to walk through the aisle.

So many people looked at Naruto with cold eyes but the blonde continued to hum a small tune. The smile on her lips widened as the girl dropped a few more items in her basket. He saw that the basket was nearly full when the blue-eyed girl decided that she had all of the items that she needed. Mukuro slipped his hands into his pockets.

The cashier looked at Naruto with narrowed eyes and Mukuro waited for the woman to throw food or anything at the child. But the woman simply had a forced smile on her lips. If it had been anyone else, they would think that the girl had a break. But he could see the calculating look in her eyes and Mukuro knew that the woman was planning something big.

"450,000 ryo," The woman declared once she finished calculating the items. Mukuro raised a single eyebrow. From his own calculations, the girl should have been a sixth of that price. It was ridiculously high and the blond-haired girl knew it too. He could see the girl grinding her teeth together and her blue eyes narrowed at the woman.

If the current Naruto could reign in her temper, then this young Naruto could not reign in her temper.

"It should be 75,000 ryo!" Naruto growled, smashing her hand on the table. Mukuro snorted and stared with blank eyes as the table jumped up with the items. The woman flinched but did not dare to change the price. Not that he expected the woman would change her mind. If anything, it only served to irritate the woman even more. "I'm a fucking orphan! The Hokage did not give me that much money!"

The woman scoffed, not looking one bit moved while Mukuro stared at the blonde. What was she going to do? He could think of what he would do in this scenario. He would have played a mind game with her, making her realize just how stupid she would be but he doubt that the young girl would do something like this.

"Too bad Naruto, I'm the owner of this shop," The woman snapped. Her voice was filled with irritation and smugness that made Naruto grind her teeth together. Mukuro could see the blonde clenched her hands into a fist and her blue eyes glared holes into the young woman. But the woman still did not budge from her price.

"I will tell the Hokage," Naruto declared. The woman faltered slightly and Mukuro wondered what was so special about the Hokage. Everyone kept mentioning the title in her memories but not once had he ever seen the mysterious figure in her life. But the Hokage must be someone with power. He could only come to this conclusion from the level of fear leaking out of her eyes. "He won't be happy to hear you are overcharging an orphan."

"I'm not changing the price just because you tell Hokage-sama," the woman said with a sneer on her lips. Naruto clenched her fists together as her nostrils flared. Mukuro waited for the blonde to blow off but the blonde only clenched her jaws together as various people inside the store stared at the cashier with approval. "But if you want groceries then I will give you what you deserve with the funds that the Hokage gave you."

Mukuro raised a single eyebrow when the girl released a frustrated sigh. He waited for her to yell at the woman but the blonde simply relaxed her shoulders at them. The blonde gestured for the woman to do what she want and Mukuro watch with some form of twisted amusement when Naruto flipped the bird at the woman's back.

He did not know how long Naruto stood in front of the counter but for Mukuro, it felt like over an hour until the woman came back with the basket. A snort escaped from his lips as he saw that the woman had filled the basket with food that was going to be expired in the next day or two. I can even see some expired food inside there too. The knowledge made him laugh.

In her own way, this woman was trying to kill her with the expired products.

"This is what you can buy with 75,000 ryo!" The woman declared with a glee in her tone. Mukuro could see the various smirks coming out from the other people in the store. Cruelty was not something new to him but it was clear to him that this was a level of a cruelty that he had never seen before. The Mafia used children, abused them and other things yet these people were not part of the Mafia.

Humans would always be cruel to people but it took a special type of human to hurt a child.

"This costs 75,000 ryo?" Naruto asked with disbelief in her tone. She balled her hands into a fist while her nostrils flared with rage. Mukuro could hear the snickers from the customers behind her and Mukuro waited for the girl to explode. "You old hag, it is obvious with anyone with eyes that these items are either rotten, expired or are going to expire soon!"

Most people would have been irritated for the blonde right in front of him but Mukuro could only laugh at her terrible luck. Did she really believe a temper tantrum was going to fix her problem? Because the way the woman was beaming with cruelty, Mukuro doubt that the woman would budge from her price.

"Well if you want the groceries from before then fork up 450,000 ryo!" The woman replied with a shrug. "If you want to pay 75,000 ryo then you take this."

Naruto inhaled and exhaled as she shut her eyes tightly. Mukuro watched as the girl weighed in her options, looking down her frog purse before looking back at the woman. She grinded her teeth together and looked around as if hoping someone would come to her rescue. But the people just stared at the blonde that was the price she deserved.

"Can't you reduce the price at least from 75,000 ryo?" Naruto demanded.

"Why should I?" The woman scoffed and narrowed her eyes at the girl. "You should be glad that I didn't kick a troublemaker like you out!"

The blonde's eyebrows twitched and Mukuro watched as the girl slammed the money on the counter. The woman smiled and began putting items into the plastic bag, looking absolutely pleased as the blonde tapped her foot against the floor. It was undeniable that Naruto was irritated and furious with the way her eyes screamed murder but Mukuro had to give her credit.

She hadn't killed anyone.

"One day, I'm going to make you regret overpricing me," Naruto whispered to herself as she walked away with her plastic bags. "When I become Hokage, I will put so many taxes on this damn grocery store that you have no choice but to beg me for mercy!"

Demon child. Monster. Bad seed. Die!

Mukuro stared blankly at the words painted in deep red on the walls. He didn't know how old Naruto was but he guessed the girl must have been around eight-years-old if her appearance was of any indication. The blonde did not flinch at those words nor did he see her shoulders trembled. All he could see was a blond-haired girl trying to clean up the paint off from her walls.

The only sound he could hear in the room was the girl sniffing and trembling as her hand scrubbed the words off from the walls. Mukuro could only salute the girl for how she handled it. He did not know how long she handled this abuse but it was years if he could guess from the memories that he was seeing from her. Every single one of her memories seemed to show some kind of abuse.

He got his freedom by killing his captors, but the girl showed no sign of attempting to kill them. It was a curiosity. He could not claim her childhood had been easy like the Juudaime of the Vongola Familigia. It was a difficult childhood. The kind of childhood that explained why the girl had found no problem to kill M.M but he wondered if the girl murdered the people who harmed her.

"Happy Birthday to me!" Naruto sang and Mukuro snapped his head at her. It was her birthday? The knowledge made him laugh. Even on her own birthday, the girl could not get a break from the people. "I'm finally 8-years-old, Mummy and Daddy! I survived another year."

Those words would probably make some people cry but Mukuro could only chuckle. Survive. He understood the importance of her words. Every day was a survival for her. But she was not an experiment who had to worry about her own family killing her. Her problem was a whole town of people who wished to see her dead.

"Y'know Mama, Hinata-chan made me a cake and it was really taste!" Naruto declared, rubbing her eyes. Mukuro inspected the floor, waiting to see for the tears to wet the floor, but no tears fell down. Instead the girl just sniffed and looked to the full moon. "Shikamaru and Choji said happy birthday to me and the Mutt even allowed me to carry his puppy around! And the Hokage also gave me extra money for my birthday!"

Mukuro could only blink at the happiness leaking out of her tone. How could she be happy with just that? He would have been pleased if someone got rid of the people that hurt him. But she was just happy to have some cake, carry a dog and for someone to remember her birthday? That was very odd if you asked him. The only reasonable thing was the money.

Money could make anyone happy.

"And I found a really nice hairclip on my drawer! I think Weasel gave it to me since he is still new," the blonde admitted as her hand reached up to the butterfly hairclip on her hair. "And I think Inu gave me a kunai set since the owner gave me crappy ones. Inu has always been there for me so he knows me the best."

Mukuro could see the bright smile on Naruto's lips as she talked about her presents. A hairclip was a normal present but why would someone gifted a little girl a kunai set? And why would she need kunai set? He knitted his eyebrows together. The more he looked at Naruto's memories, the more confused he was of this girl.

She was not part of the Mafia which was something he confirmed with their battle, but kunais and shuriken hinted that the girl was being trained to be a kunoichi.

Stomp. Mukuro snapped his head to the door as he heard the floors creaked. Oh? What was going to happen? His mismatch eyes flickered to Naruto. The girl froze as her eyes fixated on the door. Fear flooded into her eyes as if she knew what was going to happen. She probably did know. She knew what happened when the elderly woman entered her room in the orphanage.

It took the girl a few seconds to stand up and Mukuro watched as the girl dashed to the door. Her whole body trembled with fear as her hand wrapped around the door knob, no doubt trying to lock the door but she was too late. Mukuro watched as the door flung opened, smacking the girl on the head. The 8-year-old girl groaned as her whole body smacked to the wall.

"I'm going to do what the Fourth Hokage should have done," A man slurred. Mukuro raised a single eyebrow when he saw the large knife in the rough man's hands. It looked like a kitchen knife and if he had to guess from the man's outfit then Mukuro guessed that the man lived right near the blond-haired girl.

"W-What the hell are you talking about?" The little girl stuttered as she tried to move back against the wall. Her whole body trembled with fear and tears leaked out of her eyes as if she knew what was going to happen. Mukuro curled his lips into a smirk and waited to see if the girl was going to be the one to kill him.

Crash.

Mukuro sighed in disappointment as a man with a dog mask broke through the window. He watched as the man with the dog mask dashed straight to the drunken man. The man pulled out his tanto and slashed the man in the back. Blood dripped out of the man's back and Mukuro watched with blank eyes as the man crumbled down to the ground.

"Thank you, Inu-niisan," Naruto muttered, hanging her shoulders up. The blue-haired teen raised a single eyebrow when the girl stared at the blood that cling to the tanto before looking up at the man. Mukuro watched as the man called Inu sighed at those words. A part of him wondered how the man could see with the mask that seemed to cover his eyes. "I thought he was going to kill me."

"Naruto-chan, how many times have I and the Hokage told you to lock the door on your birthday?" Inu asked quietly as he knelt down to pick up the frightened little girl. Mukuro could see the awkwardness as the man patted the girl in her back. "You know your neighbors can get drunk and drunk people are unpredictable, Naru-chan. You aren't strong enough to defend yourself."

Naruto grumbled. "I know but some people broke into my apartment, Inu-niisan…and I was more focused on getting rid of those words."

"I know Naruto-chan but you need to be more careful," Inu informed her. "The world isn't a fair place and it is even more cruel to the weak."

Mukuro knew that if he wanted to keep the remainder of his sanity then he should leave her memories alone. When there is more free time, I will see even more of her memories. He still had the Juudaime to defeat but once he conquered the boy then he would go back to trying to figure out how to control the girl.

What the hell happened to me?

Naruto rubbed her head as her blue eyes took in her surroundings. All she could remember was Mukuro's words about possessing her body and that was it. Everything else seemed just like a blank slate to her, which was really bad if you asked her. Not only because she did not know her own actions but also, because she really did not know how Tsuna came to face Mukuro.

"What happened?" She groaned. Her blue eyes flickered to Reborn, who sat in the sideline with her, before looking back at Tsuna. At first glance, the whiskered girl did not notice any changes in the younger boy but with a closer inspection, Naruto saw that his back was straight. It might not mean much to anyone else but it spoke volumes to her.

Tsuna was a wimp who always hunched his shoulders and always looked like a little animal that was just ready to run away. The boy standing right in front of her was a boy with straight shoulders. It spoke of someone who had confidence in himself. It showed someone that was ready to fight and that only made her knit her eyebrows.

What happened during the time that she was unconscious?

"Mukuro tried to control you but he failed to control you for some strange reason," Reborn commented with his black eyes focused on Tsuna. The younger boy had a flame flickering over his head but unlike the other times, Naruto could see a strange calmness in his eyes. It is almost like he is a whole different person. She curled her lips into a frown. "And Dame-Tsuna has been shot by a new bullet that Leon made for him."

"Is it why he looks so much more calm?" Naruto asked him. Reborn curled his lips into a smirk and nodded his head, looking pleased at her observation. The blonde frowned. Should she just sit and watch the match? It would be interesting for her to see the effect of that bullet. But on the other hand…Mukuro tried to control her.

That was unforgivable in her books.

"You know I can defeat him…he could have waited for me to regain conscious," she commented as she pushed herself up from the floor. Reborn tilted his hat downwards as Naruto glared at Mukuro. "I'm rather pissed off that he tried to possess me."

It would be so easy for her to just charge in there and punched the boy with one single punch. All she had to do was form one powerful jutsu and this match would be over. With Mukuro fighting Tsuna, the blue-haired boy would never notice her attack. It would be the perfect win for everyone if you asked her.

"But aren't you curious to see what this bullet can make Tsuna do?" Reborn asked with a single eyebrow. Naruto thinned her lips. Well there was that burning curiosity to see how far this new bullet could push the boy. From the match so far between Mukuro and Tsuna, the blonde could see that the younger boy was managing well against the illusions.

It was better than what she could do since she still needed to learn how to spot an illusion.

"Just because I'm curious about the bullet, doesn't mean that I'm not angry for what he did to me!" She declared. The whiskered-girl raised a single eyebrow as Tsuna dashed to the side even though the glasses-wearing lacky was coming down on him. Blue eyes widened when she saw the glasses-wearing lackey disappeared, only to be revealed when Tsuna punched him.

So that is why he went that way. The knowledge made her pressed her lips into a very thin line. If that had been her then Naruto knew that she would never expect the boy to be there. But how could Tsuna figure it out? He hadn't learnt anything about illusions as far as she was concerned. So how could he do it? It was not like he certainly drank some drink that just allowed him to know.

If he did then Naruto wanted some of that drink.

Hiss. Blue eyes widened when she saw a bunch of bombs flying her way. With a growl, the blond-haired girl weaved her hands together into a familiar set of handseals. Dog. Horse. Bird! She exhaled a large breath from her mouth and watched as the bombs flew away from them, landing right beneath Gokudera and the blond-haired lackey that looked kind of an animal.

"I will make things easier for Sawada and just break the bodies of everyone that he is possessing," Naruto muttered. She should try to fight Mukuro directly but she was not a complete idiot. Unlike Tsuna, she had no way of knowing when he was using an illusion or not. If she fought him then it was clear to her that she would be defeated by him.

"Don't kill them," Reborn said, tilting his hat upwards at her. Naruto raised a single eyebrow at those words. Was he seriously asking her to spar even the subordinates of Mukuro? Gokudera was understandable. He was Tsuna's friend and subordinate. But the other two should be free game for her.

"You have to make Tsuna pay the price," Naruto grumbled as her eyes flickered to the bodies that were circling around Tsuna. Not killing them was a task that required her to keep her strength to the bare minimum. Not only did it require her strength to be at its minimum level but it was showing kindness to the people that hurt her and her allies.

She was not a good person, damn it!

"You know Tsuna would be willing to pay once he learns that your kind act is what kept them alive," Reborn commented. Naruto curled her lips into a frown. She did know that. The younger boy was so naïve that it irritated her. Why would he bother to keep them alive? If it was to think of a way to punish them then she was all for it.

But she knew Tsuna and he did not think in the same way she did.

"¥720000," Naruto declared. Reborn quirked his lips into a smile and the blonde knew he was imagining Tsuna's reaction once he learnt the price that she put on his services. It was a good price if you asked her. If he wanted her to kill someone then the price would have been tripled but since he asked her not to kill, well she had to do this.

It would also serve a lesson to him about being kind for no reason.

"I will inform him after he is done beating Mukuro," Reborn commented. Naruto sighed and shook her head before channeling her chakra into her legs. The blond-haired girl immediately punched Gokudera on the stomach. She could hear his ribs cracked and blood splashed her face. The blonde sighed when the teen crumbled down to the ground, unconscious to the world.

One down and two more to go.

The second person she decided to attack was the blond-haired boy, who had a scar around his nose bridge. For a brief moment, she saw Iruka-sensei appearing before her eyes. She could feel her temper rising but the knowledge that ¥720000 was on the line was enough to reign in her temper. She kicked him in the back. Her lips curled into a smile at the sound of his back cracking into a million pieces and Naruto fixated her eyes on the lackey with the glasses.

Dimly she could hear Mukuro praising Tsuna for his improved skills. I think he should be given the title of peacock instead of Haku. God, did he ever stop talking? Was this what all Villains do? Mizuki did not shut up about his plans and that made it easy for her to kill him. She rolled her eyes and charged straight to the lackey with the glasses.

She did one light chop to his neck and the body collapsed to the ground. Naruto sighed and looked at Tsuna. His golden eyes was filled with so much determination and confidence that it made her lips twitched. I don't usually like to gamble but if I could gamble on the outcome then I would say Sawada is going to win. She did not say that because of Sawada's confidence or his new bullet.

It was common knowledge that heroes always win and in this scenario, Sawada is the hero.

"Tell Sawada that I expect the money in three days," Naruto declared to Reborn as she grabbed Hibari's unconscious body. She swung the boy over her arms and carried him bridal style. It would be a good idea for her to get Haku to take a picture of her with Hibari before she brought him over to the hospital.

"You are not going to try and fight Mukuro?" Reborn asked.

"Sawada is going to win and he can also see through the illusions better than me," she answered with a sigh. "Also I'm not taking away this opportunity away from him. He was already fighting Mukuro when I woke up, so it is only fair that he finished it."

The black-eyed toddler frowned and observed her as if he was trying to figure out her motive. She just stared at him. There was no need for her to lie to him. Yes, it irritated her that she could not fight Mukuro. But Naruto knew she was going to lose the battle no matter what. The moment illusions were introduced, her fate would be determined.

Until she could figure out how to quickly determine an illusion and break free from it, Naruto knew she would always lose.

"He will let Mukuro live," Reborn commented. Naruto thinned her lips. That was something she knew Tsuna would do. He was going to let the boy live because he did not like the idea of killing someone. He thought he was too good to kill and that made her snort. Perhaps Tsuna thought killing someone was cruel but letting someone live was even more cruel if you asked her.

"Just because he let Mukuro live, doesn't mean the Mafia won't make his life hell does it?" Naruto asked. Reborn stared at Tsuna and Mukuro, who were still battling before looking back at her. The toddler nodded his head and the blonde looked out to the broken windows. "Sometimes living can be the worst punishment."

Reborn arched a single eyebrow.

"You believe that Death is too good for him, don't you?"

The blonde hummed. Death would never make up for the fact that he tried to control her. Killing him would never calm Hibari down since her ally would always be furious that Mukuro defeated him and could never get a rematch. But those were not the only reasons when she thought about it. Living was always the best form of punishment.

"I think the best punishment for someone as twisted as Mukuro is to have him work under Tsuna," Naruto commented with a shrug. "Won't it be the worst punishment for him? He would be forced to work for the very people that he hates since he will always owe Tsuna for his life."

Reborn stared at her.

"And do you honestly believe Tsuna will do that?"

Naruto wrinkled her nose and watched as Mukuro pushed his trident against Tsuna's hand. Those heterochromia eyes flickered to her and the only emotion leaking out of him was pure amusement. She felt her eyebrows twitch. What the hell did he find so funny? And if he knew that she was planning to leave then why wouldn't he stop her? What the hell was his game plan? She grimaced.

God, she hated not knowing what went through a person's mind.

"If Tsuna wants to be a pacifist and not kill people then he needs to start thinking of a punishment worse than death for them," she finally answered as she clicked her heels together. "Prison for someone like Mukuro is too good for him while death would just end whatever suffering he went through…so working for someone like Tsuna or anyone in the Mafia is the best punishment for him."

Reborn raised a single eyebrow at her.

"You have a twisted way of reasoning with things," Reborn commented. "You aren't allowing Tsuna to defeat Mukuro because of kindness, are you? You thought long and hard about what could be the worst form of torture for Mukuro, didn't you?"

Naruto curled her lips into a smile.

"Have you ever seen a greedy person be kind for no reason?"

That was her final question to Reborn before walking out of the door with her unconscious ally in her arms.

A/N: Please review and tell me what your thoughts are on about this chapter. What do you think of the glimpses of Naruto's past? I know that some people expected Naruto to defeat Mukuro but she would be too overpowered if I made her immune to illusions at the current moment. Do you think I should have Naruto learn how to control the Dying Will Flames? And if so, what flame do you think will suit Naruto?
