Alright Guys im giving you a heads up chapter 21 is going to be rough so here's so more cuteness before things get serious. Enjoy :)

The first month dragged by for Jane although she was starting at the academy she still missed her girlfriend. They talked as often as they could weather it be Skype video, phone call or text they always made sure to make time for one another before they both knew it 5 months had came and went.

Jane was grateful that the academy kept her mind busy and that it was almost over. Jane's graduation from the police academy was quickly approaching at the end of the week she would officially become a Boston Police officer.

"Hey Janie." Frost greeted upon entering her apartment.

"Hey Frost. You wanna beer?" Jane asked opening the fridge.

"Yeah sure."

"Here ya go." Jane says handing a beer to her bestfriend.

"I see you finally got your place back in order." Frost said gesturing to her place.

"Yeah well its been almost a year so I would hope I'd have cleaned everything up." She replies bumping him with her shoulder.

"So how are you and Maura doing? I know being apart for this long hasn't been easy on the two of you."

"It was hard the first few months. With her being gone it just made me realize even more that I'm lost when she's not around."

Frost smiled at how open she was being with him he knew Maura was the reason for Jane being so grounded.

His thoughts were cut short by Jane speaking again. "And Frost if you tell anyone about me spilling my guts to you I swear you will regret it." Jane remarked with a serious look.

"Whoa hey." He said rasing his hands in surrender. "I wont tell a soul Jane."

"Good, because Frost shes it for me man, that woman is my world."

"Jane, I know. And you can trust me I wont tell anyone about your soft side. I don't want people to question your badassness." He said with a laugh. "I heard how well you did in the academy and I must say I'm proud of you Jane." He smiled his megawatt smile and Jane laughed.

"Now who's being a softy?" She said cocking an eyebrow at him causing him to laugh as well. "You are going to be there on Friday right? I mean if it wasnt for you I probably would of never pushed myself to do this." Jane said looking down at her beer.

"Yeah Jane I wouldn't miss it. And I know they are going to throw you one hell of party and I definitely wont miss that! But I do have to leave tonight but I will be back in time."

Jane's eyebrows raised high on forehead. "Where ya going?"

"I'm going to see my mom's" He said with a genuine smile.

"Well I'm sure they will be glad to see you I know some time has passed since your parents divorce."

"Yeah." He said sadly thinking back on everything.

"So your leaving tonight?"

"Yeah, but I will be back in time to see you graduate."

"Okay good. Would you like another beer?"

"I better not I got a 3 hour drive ahead of me." Just as her said that Jane's phone began to ring.

"That's Maura." She said with a smile.

"Well I'll get out of here and let you two catch up." He says grab6his jacket.

"Wait you can't go yet she's gonna want to say hi just hold on." Jane days quickly trying to answer.

"Hey beautiful!" Jane says excitedly.

"Hey to you to gorgeous." Maura says with a smile.

"Frost is here he's about to leave but I told him you wouldn't let me live it down if you didn't get to say hello." Jane says chuckling.

"Hey Maura." Frost says with a smile.

"Hello Barry, I hope you have been well and keeping Jane inline." The blonde says smiling.

"Well you know me." He says with a shrug and a smile. "Maura it was great seeing you, you look amazing but I'm sorry I really have to get on the road."

"Well alright, be safe where ever you are headed. Don't be a stranger!"

"Will do Maura." He says throwing on his jacket. "Thanks for the beer Janie, I will see you on Friday."

"Sure thing Frost. Be careful out there on the road heard something about some heavy storms moving in." Jane says giving him a quick hug.

"I will Jane." He says before disappear into the hall.

She closes her door and makes her way back over to her laptop where her beautiful girlfriend's face was.

"It was nice seeing Barry although he seemed a little off." Maura says with concern etched on her face. Jane sighed she noticed it to but figured if he wanted to talk about it he would have.

"I know Maur I think maybe he's on edge. He's going visit his mom's who he hasn't seen since his mother and father's divorce."

Maura thought on it for a minute before deciding to change subjects. Not because she didn't care but because she didn't want Janr to worry.

"So, my gorgeous girlfriend will officially be a Boston Police officer come Friday." Maura says with a proud smile.

"Jane sat a little straighter before answering. "She sure is I only wish you could be here." Sje says sadly.

"Oh my sweet Jane, I wish I could be there as well but Angela did tell me she would video call so I could see you be sworn in. I know it's not the same but I promise to make it up to when I return home." Maura knew that it was hurting Jane that she wouldn't be there on one of the biggest days of her life because it was hurting her too.

They talked for hours the sun was starting to come up over Boston when Jane stretched out in her empty bed looking over to see 7:00am read across her alarm clock. "Maur you realize I have been up all night talking to you?" Jane said with a smile.

Maura gasped. "Oh Jane I'm so sorry I completely forgot about the time difference."

"Its okay Maur, I enjoyed it. Talking to you all night was worth it." The brunette said with a smile. She watched as tired eyes smiled back at her.

"Maur baby, why don't you get some sleep we can talk later after you have rested."

Maura reluctantly agreed they said their goodbyes and agreed on a time to talk again. They day flew by in haze for Jane with all the preparations for her graduation and the after party. By the time she returned home she was completely spent.

She decided to order in and garb a quick shower before her food arrived. No sooner then she was showered and dressed the door bell rang. "Perfect timing." She said to herself as she made her way to answer the door.

After paying for her food she made her way to the couch only stopping to grab two beers out the fridge. She sat down on the couch opened up her laptop and turned on the tv to the movie her and Maura were going to watch together she laughed to herself at the thought.

Maura had showered herself today was an off day for her so she and Jane agreed to both put on the same movie, order in and watch it together over Skype. It may have seemed silly to anyone else but this was just a regular Thursday night routine for them. After getting settled herself she opened up her laptop and called Jane. It take but a second for the brunette to answer.

"Hello beautiful are you ready for our movie night?" Jane said with a huge smile.

"Yes I am, I have my wine, food, your shirt and a blanket see?" The blonde said moving the laptop back so Jane could see her in her favorite shirt.

"Damn Maur, that shirt sure looks good on you." Jane remarked wiggling her eyebrows.

Maura chuckled. "Well I must say it is really comfortable and you may just not get it back." She grinned taking a sip of her wine.

Jane smiled. "I know its comfortable that's why it's my favorite shirt but you can keep it baby it looks to amazing on you for me to take it back."

Maura blushed at Jane's compliment and smiled to herself because everyone who knew Jane knew that no one ever got to borrow her favorite shirt but she wasn't just anybody she was Jane Rizzoli's girlfriend. After a few minutes of flirting back and forth they finally settled to watch the movie.
