We kill orcs as we head up some ruins towards Ravenhill. My heart was racing as we were nearing the leader of the orcs. We come up to a frozen river. I jump flip and roll, slashing an orc as we come to the river. The mist was thick as the other join me on the ice. Fili came to my side as Thorin stepped forward as we looked across the river at the ruins in which Azog was last seen. His wooden signalling machines were visible through the mist.
"Where is he?" Thorin growled.
"Looks empty. I think Azog has fled!" Kili said.
"He wouldn't have fled if he saw us coming." I said.
"I don't think so. Fili, take your brother and Laila. Scout out the towers. Keep low and out of sight. If you see something, report back, do not engage. Do you understand?!" Thorin said. We nod.
"We have company." Dwalin said. We look back the way we came to see goblins running over the ruins towards us. "Goblin mercenaries. No more than a hundred."
"We'll take care of them. Go! Go!" Thorin said. I looked at my brothers.
"Stay with Thorin." I said. Fili, Kili, and I run towards the river. We stayed low, but I had a bad feeling like something isn't right. We reach the ruins under Azog's signaling posts. We walk through, looking. A noise comes. Fili stops me and Kili.
"Stay here. Search the lower levels. I got this." Fili said. I grab him.
"Fili. No. We should stay together." I said.
"I'll be fine. Stay with my brother." Fili said. He kissed me real quick. I watch him go with worry.
"Let's go Laila." Kili said. We head to the lower area. I froze as a drum sound comes. Kili and I looked at each other.
"Mahal. We were led into a trap!" I said. Kili's eyes widen. We run to the door and come to a stop as we hear Azog as we stop at the door.
"This one dies first." Azog spoke in the black speech. My eyes widen. Fili. "Then his brother and the Daughter of Valar. Then you Oakenshield. Will die last."
"No! RUN!" Fili shouted.
"Here ends your filthy bloodline!" Azog shouted in the blackspeech. Something falls past us and I scream. Fili laid on the ground staring up at me and Kili.
"FILI!" I scream as I fall to my knees and craddle his head in my arms. I saw Thorin run towards the tower with my brothers and Dwalin. I put my hand to his face.
"Can you save him?" Kili asked, pain in his voicie. I press a kiss to Fili's head and still felt some warmth. He wasn't gone fully.
"Yes." I said. I took Fili's face in my hands and they light up as I healed him, praying to Valar. I felt some of my life force go into him. "Come back to me, love." I felt my energy slipping as I healed him more. Life came back into his eyes and he gasped.
"Fili." Kili said, falling to his knees next to us. Fili puts a hand to my face.
"Laila." Fili said. I smile weakly as I kiss his palm.
"I'm glad your alright." I said. I colapse as I felt darkness take me with Fili and Kili calling my name.
