Love with Might 4-the Man Called Warrior:
All Might and Makizo Nanjo face each other from opposite ends upon a battle arena designed for students studying to be Heroes at Hisuie's college. Makizo despite receiving his Provisional Hero Licence before graduating from Shiketsu has not yet applied towards any Hero agencies...wanting to train both his mind and spirit before applying. To help him, he believes that he needs to acquire a serene mental state by studying art at Hisuie's college, getting to know her and understanding her passion for fashion in the process.
Feeling calm with tranquillity within his heart...Nanjo decides to let go of all that, just this one time. In order to force All Might, known for his brute level of strength since arriving in the USA. Nanjo states that the US is "his" turf and that he will not allow Might to "conquer" it...Nanjo then readies himself in a battle stance of his. Raising both of his arms out in extension...one arm had it's hand palm completely opened. And the other arm...formed what is called a Leopard's Fist with it's hand. Nanjo's Quirk is called "Jet Bullet"...because of it, he has dubbed himself "the fastest gunslinger in the west, originating from the east".
All Might puts his dukes up, wary of what Nanjo's words might mean. Hisuie alongside many gathering others watch from the bleachers at the fight that was about to go down. Hoping that it will be exciting...college students started placing bets amongst themselves on whom would win, an act that Hisuie slightly finds distasteful. With a quick call of Nanjo saying 1, 2, 3...mark. Get set and ready...he then proceeded to unleash the full extent of his Quirk's prowess. Nanjo admits that when it comes to strength, All Might has him beat...but.
When it comes to speed, no one is faster then Makizo Nanjo-graduate of Shiketsu High. Without even noticing, All Might gains a bruise across his cheek...unable to sense where it came from. He deduces that it was obviously an attack made by Nanjo until getting hit again, this time in the kneecap. Might is forced upon his other leg, before Nanjo suddenly closes the gap way between them and appears right in front of All Might himself. Nanjo smirks like an egomaniac and tries to put Might out of his misery...
Might quickly turns to make a dodge roll, avoiding whatever attack Nanjo had up his sleeve next for Might. This earns annoyance from Nanjo...but he cares little. Believing that it was only a matter of time until he won what he considered to be a battle of attrition. All Might would lose stamina and a great expense if he didn't think of a way to counterattack and very soon. It's when Might thinks and tries to deduce the nature of Nanjo's Quirk that he finally realises what it truly is...it's an air cannon kind of Quirk.
The function of Nanjo's Quirk relates to his arms...namely his hands. One has it's palm completely exposed and the other is formed like a Leopard Blow. Using the hand with the palm, Nanjo forces himself in an omnidirectional manner towards where he wants to go. And through using the Leopard Fist, he can fire what could be akin to highly pressurized air currents working like very slow but equally very deadly bullets being shot. How he acquires this method is that Nanjo builds up wind within his palms and then condenses them. After, whilst he engages in the process of combat, Nanjo can choose whether to let go of his control over the condensed stored wind that he was keeping inside of his hands...before firing them like mortar cannons.
All Might correctly deduces that Nanjo was using his Jet Bullet Quirk for two purposes...both the palm was for movement and the fist was for attack. In truth...Nanjo is actually a template of the future Katsuki Bakugo and how he would use his Explosion Quirk more or less. The difference being that Bakugo's Quirk is more flame oriented whilst Nanjo's more wind oriented. This was All Might's first experience...with someone resembling whom Bakugo would become in terms of personality...
As Might starts to takes blows from all sides, Hisuie tries to cheer him on, warning Might to dare not lose or suffer the consequences that she mentioned from last night. Worried about what said consequences could turn out to be, Might now had another reason to win this fight. Trying to reinvigorate himself, knowing this was only the start of the fight. All Might decides to try and duel method with method. He makes his own air cannon based attacks using his massive arms and fists. Whilst Nanjo's air cannons were based on speed, Might's were based on strength. As such, the size of them were on sheer scale compared to Nanjo's.
But that didn't mean to say they were faster...Nanjo still had the advantage. He calls his attacks his "Power Punches", trying to gain the upper hand again against against Toshinori. All Might moves around the field, blocking the punches that were sent right at him whilst sending back punches of his own. Fearing that this would turn into a stalemate...Nanjo decides for a change of tactics. He aims his air cannon blows now towards the ground, causing a great layer to emerge skywards. Might questions how is this possible if Nanjo can only manipulate the wind...Nanjo corrects him. His Quirk is not wind based per say...but rather it is magnetism based.
Wind gives off a unique type of magnetic quality that allows Nanjo to pull his surroundings forwards towards him. What this means basically is that he has a Quirk that could be considered an all-purpose kind. Fire, Water, Wind and Earth...each of the four elements give off their very own senses of magnetic qualities. By harmonizing his energies with theirs, Nanjo can "ask for favours" from the elements that he considers to be close friends...in the world of Quirks, nothing is impossible.
All Might nearly calls the feat that Nanjo has made impossible...until remembering the lesson that absolutely nothing is impossible within the world, now that it harboured Quirks within it. He then gives off one of his signature grins...starting to see this fight as amusing. Hisuie watches...and wonders what did All Might find so joyous about fighting? fighting itself was all about chaos and destruction. Thus...what was to be enjoyed from it? was it a denial of the self inside a person? did they hate the world and wished to see all of it's enviroments destroyed? nothing was so clearcut anymore...at least to Hisuie personally.
In the past, she used to believe through hard work and being earnest with others did achieve what she wanted most out of life...having friends. However...that was never entirely the case. When the jealous students were able to succeed and basically had Hisuie expelled from U.A. did she lose the trust of companions whom she considered very close. When they believed the lie that she was a faker whom only wanted to get on their good sides and pushed her away as a result...Hisuie felt that was the achievement she was working towards, without realising.
All the exceptionally hard work and honesty...amounted ultimately to nothing. That was the conclusion she had made...and ever since, Hisuie has formed a mental barrier within her mind. Also surrounding her heart...thinking, believing that trust was what decided her fate and ruined everything for her back at U.A. Since moving here to the US, Hisuie has tried her best never to depend on trust and socialising with others. Fearing that her fate would be decided for her again and that she would lose all of his chances once more...
However, watching this spar in ongoing progression...somewhat brings back a forgotten feeling for Hisuie. An emotion...one that she dared not try to explore again. It was the feeling...of friendship. The emotion for companionship...that was what Hisuie was experiencing inside of her heart at that very moment. Breaking one of the psychological barriers holding over her head...just then though. She overhears the betting college students talking amongst themselves.
They mention about how Nanjo seems more likely to win...as he is known by his nickname called "Warrior". Nanjo had trained by himself at the Grand Canyon of Arizona, hoping to master a new special move of his. His fellows started calling him the Warrior because of the intense self-training he was putting himself through...or, so they only heard. They believed that only a warrior of old folklore could endure the kind of training that he bestowed upon himself...hence, the nickname of Warrior.
Nanjo overhears the peers from the college, revealing within his mind whilst fighting All Might that he hates being called Warrior. In truth, Nanjo was close towards giving up his training regiment...had he not struck a goldmine on acquiring the special move he sought after. If he wasn't able to achieve it...Nanjo would have most likely given up and not push past his limits. However, fate seemingly had plans for Nanjo otherwise...and now, with the new move he intends to use...Nanjo wishes to crush All Might and send him packing all the way back to their home of Japan. Literally too...
Finally, David arrives on the scene, his car parking right outside the college campus. It took a while but thanks to a GPS tracking device that he placed in All Might's mobile phone, David was able to find his friend. Meanwhile...Professor Caterwaul was prepared to take another one of his vials without David's knowledge of it. Caterwaul believes this vial...will be the last one that he ever takes. Once the effects of it leave his body...his eyes will never again awaken. Caterwaul believes that he had lived a long and prosperous life, thankful to have been blessed with good friends such as both Shimura and Gran Torino.
Although he originally won't die until another 3 months have passed...Caterwaul refuses to wait any longer and let cancer take his life. Instead, he intends to go out with a bang...hoping...that Toshinori will stop him once the professor's Monster Cat Quirk starts to rampage. Thankful to have been blessed with amazing students in the forms of David, Toshi and others. Professor Caterwaul then at last drinks the final vial, as though it were alcohol to memorise the occasion...
Having said his goodbyes, the professor also apologies towards Shimura. Failing her in helping All Might...learn the secrets on how to defeat All-For-One forever. He entrusts Torino with the rest...hoping that All Might will become a splendid Hero under his wing. Caterwaul's eyes then lastly turn monstrous...having lost all sense of self in his ending moments of sanity.
