Quinn went shopping with Kitty the next day. Kitty insisted that Quinn needed a new outfit for their night out. They were going to Molly's and then to another one of Travis's parties except this time Jay had said he would stop by after work.

"So, Kelly is really just your roommate?" Kitty asked checking her reflection in the mirror.

Kitty was wearing a high neck white bandage dress that fit her like a glove.

"Yes" She replied "He's become one of my best friends, I love Jay, and that dress is amazing on you"

"Ok good" She said "He's a lot of fun and I didn't want to step on your toes"

"Didn't you date the father of my child?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

Kitty bit her lip thinking back and then shrugged her shoulders.

"I forgot about that one" Kitty replied "Ok I don't want to do it again"

"I don't care about that" She reassured her "And Kelly is just a friend, if you flirt with Jay well then that's a whole other story"

"We have to find you a dress that's going to blow his mind" Kitty told her as she changed back into her clothes.

Kitty picked up a bralet and a tight mini skirt. Quinn just raised an eyebrow.

"I'm just kidding" Kitty laughed putting it back and handing her a backless red bodycon dress.

"I don't think so" She said putting it back on the rack.

"Get your butt in there and try that dress on" Kitty demanded.

"Fine" She sighed rolling her eyes.

She had to admit Kitty had picked a great dress. She didn't normally feel sexy, but she did in that dress. It hugged her curves perfectly. The neckline wasn't too revealing, but she never usually did backless.

Kitty said she would meet her at Molly's later. She had to go back into work. Quinn had arranged to meet Kelly for lunch down at her favorite waterfront café.

"How was hurricane Kitty?" He asked as she sat down.

"It was actually kind of nice having a girlfriend around, I've been spending way too much time with you and Connor lately" She replied picking up the menu.

"You love us, and you know it" He said with a smirk.

"True" She admitted "But it's fun to have a girl to talk about you all with"

"Oh really?" He asked looking down at his phone acting casual "What did she say?"

"Like I'm going to tell you that" She said shaking her head.

They decided to go for a walk along the water after lunch. He was telling her all about his travel plans with Travis. First, they were going to South America and then on to Europe. It sounded like the trip of a lifetime.

"You know I'm going to miss you when you leave" She admitted "I kind of liked having you as a roommate"

"Aww you care" He teased poking her side.

"Not if you're going to be like that I won't" She huffed elbowing him in the ribs.

"I'll miss you too" He told her throwing an arm around her shoulder and bringing her in for a hug "You should come out and visit, you and Jay"

"Let me know when you make it to Paris or Rome, and you've got a deal" She nodded pulling back.

"How is your apartment search going?" He asked as they stopped looking out at the skyline.

"It's a slow search" She shrugged "Something will come up, I know Connor is happy to have me but I want to get out of his hair, I love him and all but seeing him all day every day is a lot when we work together"

"What about Jay?" He asked.

"You don't think that would be a little soon?" She asked cocking her head to the side "We just got back on track"

"I'm not really the relationship expert" He said "Whatever works for you"

When Quinn arrived at Molly's it was in full swing. Kitty was perched on Kelly's lap laughing and joking with the rest of the squad as he introduced her. She smiled and waved at Gabby who was behind the bar.

"Woah lady in red" Gabby said with a wolf whistle "You look amazing"

"I take full responsibility" Kitty said with a wink.

"Wow" Kelly said earning himself a glare from Kitty.

"Gabby this is Kitty" She said introducing them "Kitty this is my friend Gabby"

"We met" Gabby said nodding to Kelly "Severide has had a smile on his face all night"

"Shut up Dawson" Kelly laughed "Can we get another round, and whatever Quinn's drinking"

"So, how are you?" Gabby asked handing her a glass of wine.

"Better" She nodded taking a sip "I'm just sorry I couldn't take Louie; I was really looking forward to it"

"Come by over the weekend" Gabby suggested.

"I'm going to take you up on that" She replied.

Kelly called her over and handed her a shot. She screwed her nose up smelling tequila. Shots were reserved for when she'd had a bad day, but she wasn't a fan.

"Quit pulling faces and drink it" He said shoving her playfully.

Quinn could already tell that Kelly and Kitty together was going to be a crazy night. She knocked back the shot and looked around for Jay.

She spotted Adam and Kevin from his unit sat at the table closest to the door, so she walked over to them.

"Have you seen Jay?" She asked

"That is some dress" Adam said looking her up and down.

"Stop checking out my girlfriend" Jay said slapping him on the back of the head.

"Well it's a nice dress" Adam said defending himself.

"Stop digging" Kevin sighed as he handed Jay a beer.

"You do look amazing" Jay told her putting his free hand on the small of her back.

He was just wearing a plain black t-shirt and dark jeans but that was one of the things she loved about him.

"So, do you" She said leaning up to kiss him "How was your day?"

"Better now" He replied returning this kiss.

"You two make me sick" Adam said shaking his head.

"Jealousy is a terrible sickness" She retorted.

Jay pulled out a chair for her, so she hopped up on the stool. He sat next to her holding her hand on top of the table.

"Can we go and see Will tomorrow?" He asked "He's been asking about you and he's stressing about wedding planning"

"Sure" She replied "We can go tonight if you want to"

Jay looked over at Kitty and shook his head. Quinn followed his gazed and laughed as she turned back to face him.

"Are you afraid of what Kitty Wilde is going to say If we don't go tonight?" She asked

"Have you met her?" He asked "I'm scared of what she'll do, she's like teenage you when she starts"

"I'd rather go back to your place" She sighed resting her hand on his thigh.

"You know we can hear you?" Kevin asked while Adam coughed to cover up a laugh.

"I expect better from you" She said shaking her head at Kevin.

Kelly called everyone over for a few more drinks and shots before getting an uber to take them to the party.

Quinn couldn't believe what she was seeing when they got the party. Jay and Kelly had their own little bromance going on. She was happy but it was still strange.

"Nice to see you again Doctor" Travis said handing her a drink.

Quinn smiled politely. Kitty dragged her over to her dancer friends while Jay was talking to Travis and Kelly.

"You're back with that fireman?" Kitty's friend asked raising an eyebrow "He's hot"

"I like they guy he's with" a red head chimed in.

"Cool down Christy he's taken" Kitty told her.

"We'll see" Christy said with a smirk.

"Oh, I don't think you will" Quinn said stepping up to her with Kitty at her side.

The other girl stared her down, sizing her up but Quinn didn't back down.

"Ok fine" Christy sighed "I didn't know he was with you"

"Skank" Kitty muttered as Christy and some of the other girls walked off.

"What was that about?" Kelly asked with a smirk "We thought a cat fight was about to happen, I'm a little letdown"

"Quinn was just marking her territory" Kitty replied with a wink "Come dance with me"

Kelly let himself be led away by the fiery blonde who would not take no for an answer.

Jay wrapped his arms around Quinn smiling down at her.

"Did you get jealous?" He asked teasing.

"No" She lied.

"I've always found Angry Quinn sexy" He told her making her giggle.

"So teenage summer Quinn was it for you?" She asked

"Summer was fun" He replied "But I like how things are now"

"Me too" She agreed "You aged well"

"Aged?" He asked with a mock hurt look.

"Yeah" She replied "Not quite as well as me but…"

Jay kissed her to shut her up. He wasn't really into rich guy parties and he hated the way everyone was checking Quinn out in that little red dress. He just wanted to take her home.

"Do we have to stay long?" He asked running a hand down her spine.

"No" She replied softly looking up at him through lashes.

Travis shouting downstairs for Kelly broke the tension. Quinn grabbed Jay's hand to go and see what was going on. There was a girl passed out. Quinn was right by Kelly's side checking her breathing and pulse.

"What did she take?" Kelly demanded.

Quinn glared at the girls who were just looking between themselves.

"If you don't tell us your friend could die" She told them.

One of the girls handed her the bottle of pills. Kelly asked for a bowl of ice water and towels. She was surprised he was so quick with what to do but then she remembered first aid would have been part of his training.

"We need to call an ambulance" Jay said.

"It'll take her too long" Travis interrupted "I'll take her"

"I'll come with you" Kelly said as the girl came too.

"No" Travis said "Can you guys please get everyone out of here and I'll take her into the emergency department"

"Take these with you" Quinn said handing the bottle to him "They need to know what she's taken"

Jay and Kelly took over getting everyone out of the party.

"We really should have called that in" Jay said as they were heading back to Connor's.

"Travis could get her there quicker" Kelly said

"I'll text Connor and check in" Quinn said.

They dropped Kelly and Kitty off at her hotel. Kitty had booked a flight for the next day, so they decided to make the most of her last night. Quinn couldn't help but smile watching them giggling walking into the hotel barely able to keep their hands off of each other.

Quinn text Connor on her way into the apartment to ask about the girl who was brought in. She had barely shut the door when Jay had her pressed up against it. His hand on her thigh pulling it up against his hip kissing her neck.

"Bedroom" She said breathlessly wrapping her legs around him as he carried her through to her room kicking the door closed behind them.

Later they were cuddled up in bed with Jay drawing lazy circles on her arm. She sighed leaning back into him.

"Wow" She said simply.

"I missed this" He agreed kissing her shoulder "When we're not fighting, I mean, that's hot too"

"Shut up" She laughed turning round to face him "I'm glad we're good again"

"Me too" He said wrapping his arms around her.

Quinn looked round as her phone pinged on the bedside table.

"Leave it" Jay groaned as she sat up.

She shook her head opening the message and swatting Jay's hand away.

"What is it?" He asked sitting up.

"That girl was left dumped outside the hospital on a bench" She replied "A security guard found her"

"Is she going to be ok?" He asked

"They think so but she's in intensive care" She said putting her phone down "I need to tell Kelly, he's supposed to be going travelling with that guy, I knew I didn't trust him"

"Talk to him in the morning" Jay told her running a hand down her back "Come back to bed"

Quinn giggled as he rolled her, so she was underneath him leaning up on his elbows.

"I love you" He told her pushing a curl back from her face.

"I love you too" She said leaning up to kiss him.

Quinn had thought she had been in love a few times in her life. She had thought she was in love with Jay that first summer they had met but she pushed it aside as a teenage fling. Now she knew she really did love him.

"Move in with me" He said kissing her back.

"Ok" She agreed ignoring all her reservations.

She loved being with him and if every night and morning could be like that then she was happy. It felt right.
