Happy Birthday!

Draco was warm, way too warm.

He let out a groan, cracking his eyes open just a friction to see the dimly lit room around him, a room that he didn't recognise at all.

Panic started to seep into his bones but then a hand sneaked tighter around his waist, traveling up flat to his chest, pulling him even closer to the warmth behind him.

Cold nose nuzzled against the back of his neck before a soft sleepy kiss was placed there, taking away all panic.

- Mornin' … - Alec grumbled out, nuzzling his face closer against Draco's neck.

- Mnin'... - Draco breathed out, closing his eyes for a bit more.

A bit more turned into a couple more hours.

He woke up by Alec slipping out of bed, needing to crawl over Draco.

Draco just groomed, earning a soft chuckle from Alec who walked out of the room.

Draco sat up right away, all of sudden feeling startled by being left alone in unfamiliar space, but just a minute later Alec was back.

- Just needed to take a piss. Wanna get up or sleep some more? - Alec stretched, his muscles flexing and his hip bones standing out even more over the low waistband of his boxers.

- M hungry… - Draco mumbled, stretching himself before getting out of the bed, searching for his clothes.

- Then let's go get something to eat. It's pretty late actually, already four in the afternoon, but who knows around what time we actually came to crash. - Alec laughed softly, giving Draco his clothes before starting to dress himself. - How are you feeling? We drank pretty much last night. -

- I'm feeling quite alright and as I said last night, it really isn't the first time I have had a drink. - Draco ran a hand through his hair, feeling a bit sticky all over. - Grrr, I need a shower. -

- We get a bite before going home and then you can shower there. Mum and Dad's not home for a couple more days, so we have a house for ourselves. - Alec took Draco's hand, leading him out of the room and down the stairs where a big mess laid ahead, trash and drunk bodies laying all around, furniture crashed and scattered in all possible and impossible places. - Just ignore the mess, it's always messy after such parties. One of the reasons why I never host ones myself. -

- It looks that even simple house charms wouldn't really do. - Draco shook his head, shuddering a bit when cool air hit him outside.

- Let's be real, even house elves would struggle! - Alec pulled Draco closer, their sides pressed together and extended his hand to call a cab.

Draco let himself relax against Alec's side, not even minding the ride to a pizza place and then Alec's house.

- Ugh, I'm so tired. - Draco murmured following Alec inside, letting his eyes wander around the cozy house, feeling home right away. - This feels so nice. -

- Thank you. It's nothing like manor but yeah.. - all of sudden Alec sounded a bit nervous, letting his hand run through his own hair.

- That's why it's so nice, it's nothing like manor, not even close. - Draco breathed deeply, still looking around, amazed how at ease he felt by simply stepping into this cozy house.

- Oh, - Alec let out a breath, smiling shyly before taking Draco's hand and leading him upstairs to his own room, plopping down on the bed straight away, pulling Draco with him.

Draco let out a soft yelp, landing on top of Alec, breathing in his scent before pushing himself back, his hands on top of Alec's chest, with his nose scrunched up.

- You know that you stink, right? -

- Hearing from one. - Alec stuck out his tongue. - You can go shower first, I'll make us some tea meanwhile. -

- Okay, I just don't have any clothes with me. - Draco groomed, dropping his forehead against Alec's shoulder.

- Just take some of mine. If you want I can look for some. Will leave them in bed. - Alec let his fingers thread through Draco's hair. - But if you want, we can call Dobby to get you some, he will probably be happy to. -

- Mh… We could. But tomorrow, I'm too tired. - Draco needed all his willpower to push himself up from bed. - Lead the way, please? -

Alec just laughed, leading Draco to the bathroom and showing him where everything stands.

- I will probably be in the kitchen but I will leave some clothes on the bed, you can just get in and when tea is ready I will join you. - Alec suppressed a yawn before smiling tiredly at Draco.

- Thank you. - Draco murmured before doors closed behind him.

He let himself stand under hot spray of water for way too long before starting to wash himself, keeping his eyes closed, breathing in Alec's scent that was hugging him all over now.

When he finally stepped out of the shower, he dried himself on a fluffy pink towel before tying it around himself and heading back to Alec's bedroom, putting on simple joggers and a shirt left on the bed before climbing fully into bed and pulling a blanket all over him.

He felt refreshed from shower but also way sleepier than before, it was as if he hadn't slept last night at all.

Draco was just starting to doze off when Alec stumbled into the room carrying a tray with two cups of tea and biscuits.

- Oi, sleepyhead. - Alec laughed, putting the tray down before sliding into bed next to Draco and sneaked arms around him, nuzzling against the back of his neck.

- Mm, did I fall asleep already? - Draco couldn't help but yawn, still not opening his eyes, just pushing a bit more back against Alec.

- Not really. I brought tea and some cookies to nibble. But then we can just sleep for the rest of the day. - Alec tightened his hold around Draco for a bit more, for quick squeeze, before letting go and sitting up, earning quiet whine from Draco.

- Ah, you were so warm. - Draco murmured before pushing himself up, letting his head fall on Alec's shoulder, gladly accepting the cup of tea from Alec and taking a long sip, feeling better right away. - Damn, these parties are way too tiring. -

- That's true but they can also be a lot of fun, didn't you have fun last night? - Alec turned to look at Draco.

- I had. It was freeing. Exhausting but freeing, if you know what I mean. - Draco took another sip of his tea, taking a small nibble of a big chocolate cookie.

- That's good. You should be having more fun more often. - Alec took a sip of his own tea, letting his free hand sneak into Draco's hair, starting to run through them, earning a soft sign from Draco.

They spent the rest of the day simply napping and being lazy. In the evening Alec showed Draco the wonder of telly, laughing to tears about his reaction, ending up needing to drag Draco to bed around midnight because Draco didn't want to stop watching all the crazy muggle things on such a crazy thing as telly.

And because of staying up watching telly, they slept almost until noon that earned Draco stressing about being late to Harry's birthday party.

Alec didn't say anything, just giving Draco a fresh set of clothes, skinny black jeans with a simple deep blue longsleeve shirt.

- So, what did you get him? - Alec finally asked when they were almost there.

- A customized snitch. He'll love it, I hope. - Draco couldn't help but fidget with his fingers so Alec gripped his hand in his.

- I am sure that he will indeed love it, calm down. We are going to a birthday celebration not a death sentence in prison.

Draco just shook his head, not saying anything else.

Alec just signed, not taking his eyes off of Draco for the whole ride.

They just stepped on the top step of the landing to Grimmauld Place number twelve when Sirius opened the door.

- Ola! I almost started to worry that you won't come. Harry would go nuts, come on in, no need to stand outside. - Sirius ushered them inside, shutting the door behind them and before they could really have a look around he ushered them to the big living room where Harry was already sitting with his friends.

- Draco! - Harry jumped up, forgetting all about everyone else and running straight to Draco, pulling him in a deep hug, making Draco let go off of Alec's hand to hug him back.

- No need to crush me. - Draco murmured, hugging Harry back before letting go and looking back at Alec who was scowling a bit.

- No worries, I'll take care of this lost pupper. - Sirius throws an arm around Alec's shoulders, earning a laugh from him before leading him off to the side to comfy looking armchairs.

Draco watched him for a moment, feeling calm take over, seeing how easy Alec was starting to chat with Sirius, how his shoulders relaxed, scowl fully disappearing from his beautiful lips.

- I have a small present for you, hope you like it. - Draco gave Harry a small velvet box.

- Thank you so much. - Harry pecked Draco's cheek without really thinking before opening the small box.

Draco saw with the side of his eye the furious look Alec gave them before turning back to talk to Sirius.

- Holy shit! Draco! -

- Hey, language! - Remus came into the room carrying a big platter with snacks.

- Sorry, Re. Draco, this is amazing! Where did you even get such a cool thing? - Harry was already inspecting the snitch, letting it zoom around them for a bit before taking it back to admire it even more.

- It's costum made. So you are the only one who has one like this. - Draco watched the joy dance in Harry's eyes, him watching how light was glinting on the small diamond dotted wings of golden snitch that was interviewed with emeralds and silver, reflecting the light on Harry's face.

- I love it. - Harry murmured in complete awe, not taking his eyes off the snitch, letting it flutter in the air between them.

Draco watched Harry, getting lost in his green eyes and how utterly amazed he looked.

- Earth to Harry. - Remus snatched the snitch from right in front of their faces, putting it back in the box, making Harry blink slowly before grinning.

- Didn't know that you could catch a snitch like that. -

- You learn certain things when spending time with James. - Sirius called, tilting his glass to Harry, Remus just shook his head before going out of the room to get more snacks.

Harry laughed easily before pulling Draco to everyone else.

Draco couldn't help but glance back at Alec who was talking to Sirius, their heads stuck together, drink already in hand.

Harry pulled Draco down next to him, already launching into a story about a recent quidditch game he and Sirius had.

They all chatted and ate a bit before it was time for Harry to unwrap his other gifts, excitement flying through the roof.

It was the last box, a lot bigger than any other, Harry opened it and everyone gasped.

- It's the newest broom! -

- Now Slytherin won't have a chance of winning the quidditch cup from us! -

- Damn, it's so gorgeous! -

- So shiny! -

- You will let me try it, right? Harry, you will? -

Harry took the broom out, letting his fingers skip over it before looking up and toward Sirius who was smiling like a dog who got chocolate.

Alec was sinking deeper into his chair, taking a long swing of his drink.

Remus on the other hand was scowling a bit, crossing his hands over his chest.

- I thought that we agreed on one gift? - He lifted his brow at Sirius who just shrugged, smirk playing over his lips.

- What can I say, I like to spoil him. - Before taking a sip of his own drink.

Harry carefully put the broom into Draco's lap before rushing to Sirius and hugging him tightly, hiding his face in the crook of Sirius' neck.

Sirius put the glass down and wrapped his arms around Harry, whispering something into his ear.

Watching that it seemed that something in Remus was softening, scowl changing into a sad smile. He crossed the room in a couple strikes and pulled both Sirius and Harry into a hug before kissing the top of Harry's head and stalking out of the room.

And for some reason at that moment something clenched in Draco's chest, something that he couldn't really put his finger on.

Harry has lost his parents but was getting almost twice as much love from Sirius and Remus who tried their best to be amazing parents for him, showering him in as much love as possible.

While Draco had his parents, but he didn't feel half that loved, or approved. And in that moment he understood, this clenching feeling deep in his chest was missing, and was longing for his father to care about him at least half as much as Sirius and Remus cared for Harry. And even while understanding what it was, Draco had no idea what to do with this knowledge, so Draco did the only possible thing he could think of doing with it, he pushed it down and out of his mind.

After that they all went outside in the garden, everyone wanting to have a go on Harry's new broom.

Only when everyone had their go, except Draco who refused, they decided to have a quick quidditch match.

Remus who had come outside to watch over them agreed to be a judge, to watch for the game to be clear and staying on the playful side, Draco joined him on the swinging chair, thoughts still swimming through his mind like angry bees.

- What's on your mind? And why didn't you want to try the new broom or play quidditch? - Remus asked, taking a bite of chocolate cake, offering some to Draco.

- Just thinking of how much you and Sirius love Harry. And I shouldn't fly or play quidditch, actually not shouldn't but can't, Salazar knows what would happen then. - Draco shrugged, taking a bite of Remus cake.

- Yeah, the body can take a long while to fully recover. Trust me, I know. - Remus signed.

They stayed like that, watching the other play till Harry catches the snitch Draco had got him earlier.

Everyone agreed that they all needed to eat now, everyone was hungry after the amazing game.

Draco slowly pushed himself up, struggling a bit, feeling a bit sleepy and his legs not really wanting to work right away after spending so long sitting down without moving. Without looking twice, Remus helped Draco up, steadying him before letting go and walking inside like nothing happened.

When they walked inside, the room was flooded with loud laughing, both Sirius and Alec were laughing, tears already escaping their eyes.

No one paid much attention to them, sitting down at the table and launching at all the food, only Draco couldn't take his eyes off Alec, watching his eyes shining so bright, his head thrown back in a laughing fit, his cheeks flushed but not making him look any less attractive.

And he couldn't help but furrow his brows at how easily Sirius was throwing his arm around Alec, pulling him closer against his side, their heads pushed together now, whispering something before breaking out in yet another laughing fit.

Draco managed to force down just a bit of food before he couldn't take it anymore and walk toward Alec and Sirius, his scowl deepening the closer he got.

- Draco! - Alec exclaimed with such joy that something jumped inside Draco's stomach.

- Are you… Drunk? - Draco cocked his head to one side, trying to figure them out.

- I and drunk? Well… - and they both broke out laughing, making Draco even more annoyed.

Right in that moment Remus chose to come over as well, matching scowl playing over his lips.

- Sirius! Did you really get drunk? And not just that but you also got drunk the guest of Harry's? Really? - Remus sounded more than annoyed but was keeping his voice only loud enough for them to hear so as not to disturb everyone else.

- We only finished two bottles of firewhiskey. Nothing big. - Sirius shrugged, earning a cold and sharp look from Remus who crossed his arms over his chest, looking even more stern.

- Also, I'm legal. Like both in the wizarding world and muggle one. I can drink, so no worries. - Alec sat up straighter, letting Sirius' arm fall off his shoulder, reaching his arms out for Draco, pulling him closer by his hips and nuzzling his face against Draco's stomach.

- Still, he is a fucking grown up and should act like one. - Remus could cut ice with his sharp voice so Draco more instinctively wrapped his arms around Alec.

- Moons, calm down. He's grown up, we had fun. Sorry that we didn't get you a drink too. - Sirius got up, pushing an angry strand of hair out of Remus eyes before softly pecking his cheek.

- I think that it will be better if I get Alec home. - Draco murmured, disturbing the staring match between Remus and Sirius.

- I'll call you a taxi. And Sirius, when I came back, you need to already be up in your room and bed. - Remus shot another stren look at Sirius.

- O, kinky. - Sirius laughed, playfully slapping Remus ass before walking out of the room and up the stairs.

- Gosh, sometimes I have no idea how I keep up with him. - Remus sighed, - So, a taxi, right. Come. -

Draco pulled Alec up who still didn't let go of Draco, just now rested his head against Draco's shoulder instead of his stomach.

When they were safely in the taxi, Draco turned to Alec with a halfhearted scowl, pushing him off of his shoulder.

- I can't believe that you got drunk! - Draco crossed his arms over his chest, looking straight ahead.

- Oh, c'moon, wasn't really my fault, was it? Sirius is a fun lad, it just spices up with a couple drinks. Chill out. - Alec leaned back against Draco but got another shove off. - Draco. - He breathed with a small growl.

Draco finally turned to look at him, keeping his scowl in place even when he didn't feel angry at all.

They stared at each other for a long moment before Alec softly brushed Draco's hair back from his forehead, letting his fingers run through them and rest at the back of Draco's head before leaning back in and resting his head against Draco's shoulder, mumbling a soft apology.

Draco huffed out a breath before relaxing fully against Alec, closing his eyes for a moment, thinking of what he will need to write on the letter he needs to send Harry about leaving so suddenly without even saying goodbye.

But before he could really figure out the final writing they were stopping in front of Alec's house.

Draco struggled a bit to get Alec's wallet to pay but after that he dragged Alec out of the car, leading him toward the house, unlocking doors with Alec's key.

Alec just held against Draco, placing small pecks against his neck, not wanting to let go.

- You do understand that it's hard to walk like this? But no, you probably are too wasted to understand anything at all. Idiot you. - Draco huffed to himself, dragging Alec forward, earning a playful giggle from him.

Draco looked up and froze, there in the kitchen doorway stood a woman, dressed in elegant wizard gown, her hair pulled back in a slick knot like braids, her eyes chocolate brown and now bearing into Draco, making him instinctively close his mind. She was just a bit shorter than Alec, looking overall fierce, her cheekbones high and her colored lips pulling in a small amused smile.

- Wa did you… Oh, mum! You're home! - Alec straightened up a bit, but kept his arms wrapped around Draco.

- Yes, Alec, we're home. And who's this? - Her look shifted from her son to Draco.

- Oh, mumma, this is my babe Draco, right Draco? - Alec leaned back down to nuzzle against Draco's neck, a soft smile playing over his lips.

- I… Em… Nice to meet you Mrs. Gray. - Draco tried his best to straighten up, doing everything he was thought to do when meeting new wizards but oh how he was failing, Alec's soft kisses distracting him and his mind going highwire not knowing what this woman could do to him and holy hell, he was intruding in her house with her son drunk slung over him, this looked bad, really bad and he needed to get away. - So, yeah. I.. I come to drop Alec off. We were at my friend's birthday party and he… He must have gotten something to drink… -

Draco was stumbling over his words so he pressed his mouth shut and in a firm thin line, trying to softly push Alec further away from him, ready to flee.

- Draco, I have heard a lot about you. No worries, Alec can get carried away. You both look tired, better go get some rest and we'll talk in the morning. - She came forward, patting Alec's cheek before walking into the living room.

Alec was grinning like an idiot.

- Get that damn grin off of your face or I'm gonna slap you. - Draco glared at him, leading Alec to his room.

- Oh, stop it, you finally got to meet my mum. It's nice. - Alec once again tried to lean down and peck Draco's cheek but got a elbow in his ribs. - Ow, what was that for? -

- For being a complete idiot! You said that they won't be back for a couple more days! - Draco pushed Alec down on the bed, unzipping his jacket before pushing it off of Alec's shoulders.

- I didn't know that they would come back so early. C'mon, are you really mad at me? I already apologize for getting drunk. - Alec tried to wrap his arms around Draco's waist but Draco pushed them away, keeping on undressing Alec. - Are you not talking to me now? -

- I am talking to you. I'm just trying to get you to bed. - Draco huffed, giving up and the way too skinny jeans that wouldn't come off.

- Kinky. -

- Oh shut up! - Draco pushed Alec down again before trying to get the jeans off with new force, finally succeeding. - What in the name of fuck you need to wear such things? -

- They are cool and comfy. - Alec finally got to wrap his arms around Draco, pulling him close. - Now your turn. -

- I can undress myself, thank you very much. And I'm not staying. I better leave. -

- No. You heard what she said, WE need to get some rest. We not just I. And you are not leaving without me. So just get undressed and come to bed. No complains. - Alec sounded annoyed all of sudden, making a shiver run down Draco's spine.

But really, Draco was too tired to go anywhere, so he obeyed, undressing to his boxers and t-shirt before getting in bed next to Alec.

- See, a lot better. - Alec murmured before pulling Draco close. - Isn't it? -

- Yeah… - Draco breathes out, feeling his bones already getting heavy with tiredness and sleepiness.

Alec gaze in his eyes for a moment longer before leaning in for just a bit, letting his lips softly graze over Draco's, earning a soft sigh from Draco.

He shifted a bit closer, letting his hand slide down to the small of Draco's back before kissing him again, still softly but this time with more force, bigger urgency.

Draco pushed his fingers in Alec's hair, to pull him closer or hold him still, he didn't know, he just needed something to hold on.

The kiss slowly grew softer and softer, more lazy with each stroke of lips till their foreheads and noses were pressing together, them sharing one breath, lulled in soft sleep.
