"There are only a few that dare hide themselves as Gods, those that are mortal with a God complex or beings that are more powerful than that said Deity." - King Novik
In the center of the capital city was a massive temple, which took inspiration from the pyramid like structures of the Aztecs, Mayans and Egyptians. The building was made up of five pyramid structures, four flat topped pyramids making up the corners of the central one. The Slayer and his group walked into the central pyramid, on guard from anything that may occur that could separate them. Unlike normal temples, this one had only one room in it, with a light shining down in the middle of the chamber. In the center of the room stood three metal beings.
Well, two of them were mostly metal, the third was a woman with metal crystal wings and armor. Anubis, Isis and Ra, or what seemed to be them, turned to look at them. Ra looked like a complete metal automaton, but he radiated power as he looked at the Slayer, his voice coming out as a deep baritone.
"It seems we have intruders," He said, lazily twirling his staff in his hand as he turned to face the Slayer and his entourage, "Anubis, Isis, deal with the others, I'll handle their leader."
The Slayer leapt at Ra, his crucible activated as the two warred. Ra's staff blocked the Crucible as the crimson blade was deflected before Ra blasted the Slayer back with a powerful burst of solar energy. Perseus landed on his feet before charging at Ra again, pulling out his pistol and starting to fire at Ra while attacking with his crucible. Ra simply deflected the energy bolts as he smirked at the Slayer before grabbing his arm and tossing him across the room. Perseus was sent flying through a wall and landed on his back before he got up, finding Ra floating after him as his staff glowed bright yellow.
This wasn't going to be as easy as the other fights he had been in were going to be.
Sophia snarled as she fought the Golden armored Anubis, her family having to fight his silver armored guards. Her trident humed as she attacked the staff wielding Jackal headed deity, sweat beading down her face as the armored god causally defended himself.
"You fight well for someone so young," He said, defecting several swift strikes to his head, chest and legs, "Even better than Isis does, you have much potential inside you to be a great warrior."
"I noticed," Sophia snapped, causing water to erupt out of the ground like geysers, rejuvenating herself, "Tell me something I don't know Dog."
He snarled at that, "I am not a Dog, I am a GOD! Get it right!"
She caught his staff in a lock, the top of the staff having a design like that of the letter "C", but the place where the lower half of the "C" connected to the staff had a glowing crystal on it. She snarled before sending a spear of water at that crystal, causing it to shatter upon contact. Anubis was blown back before he calmly looked at his weapon before discarding it, pulling out an ornate hilt before a curved energy blade surged out of it. An energy sword, an energy khopesh.
Sophia gritted her teeth in frustration before she was put on the defensive, Anubis was a fast and highly mobile deity, even in his gold armor. She had to parry, block and direct the khopesh's blade away from her or get cut in the process as Anubis only got faster and faster. She was kicked back and would have been killed off it hadn't been for Atlanta's crucible blade appearing above her. Sophia looked at Atlanta before the Sentinel Goddess pushed the Jackal headed Deity back with a series of thrusts, slashes and jabbs that were purposefully done to counter the sword style of the Eygptain sword.
Atlanta hissed, letting the shadows fuel her as she faced the Golden armored Jackal God, her anger erupting at the near death of her little niece, Sophia. Black and blue blades locked together for the briefest of moments before pulling away. Atlanta was on the move, pressing the attack as Anubis calmly defended himself as they moved up the stairs that lead to an altar in the center of the temple. Atlanta growled, knowing her Mother could easily deal with Isis, she would focus on Anubis and make sure he stayed out of the fight.
Diana got in under Isis's guard as the metal bird winged deity tried to slice her head off, allowing the Sentinel Queen to duck in and stab the Goddess through the skull. Isis's eyes went wide in shock before she gurgled, blood spilling out of her mouth. Her blood though wasn't gold or silver, it was black. Isis fell to her knees, her body turning grey as she collapsed, dead. Diana pulled out her dagger as she looked at Aphrodite and Sophia, noticing that they were finishing off the silver armored Anubis guards.
"Where is Atlanta?" She asked, looking for her daughter.
Aphrodite frowned, "She was with me a moment ago."
Sophia spoke up, "She's fighting Anubis right now!"
Diana grimaced before looking at the other two, "Move the troops into position, take the Capital, I'll help Atlanta."
They obeyed and ran out of the temple as Diana rushed to her daughter's aid.
Last time Perseus checked, Ra didn't have a double sided energy weapon. The sun Deity was smirking at him as he twirled his weapon around himself, two meter long sun yellow blades glowing.
"It was quite foolish of you to try and attack us here, Sentinel," Ra said as Perseus was forced onto the back foot from the sudden assault of yellow blades, "I know what and who you are, and I have killed trillions of your kind."
Perseus snarled as he attacked Ra, his rage boiling over as he slashed and hacked at the armored bird headed God. Ra defended himself quite easily, as his blades were always just at the right place to redirect the Slayers weapon. Ra kept pushing the Slayer back as the sounds of war suddenly erupted around them, as they battled in the war torn capital city. Ra casually hit Perseus's armor, leaving a scorched line on it as the Slayer backpedaled.
"You will not be the first King I have killed either," Ra said, as though this wasn't a fight to the death, "you won't be the last either, my Empire will cross the galaxy and rule for Eons to come. The Sentinels will be nothing more than a footnote in history."
Perseus growled before pulling out his super shotgun and blasting Ra point blank in the chest. Ra was flung backwards into a wall, leaving him open, which the Slayer took. His blade scored three marks across the metal on Ra's body; scoring a slash across his thigh, one on his chest and the third on his shoulder. Not deep wounds but wounds nonetheless. Ra glowered at him before attacking once again, his weapon becoming a whirling of strikes, slashes and thrusts, making it impossible for the Slayer to get any hits in at all.
He grimaced before charging ahead, he would defeat Ra, even if it meant he had to die to do it.
