"Okay, Emily, go ahead and push," the doctor instructed. Nodding Emily bore down and moaned at the pain. She collapsed on to the bed, but the contraction wasn't over, and she began to push again.

"God this hurts so bad even more than it did giving birth to his or her sister," she whimpered. Spencer was unsure he wanted to stay with their baby girl, but Emily also needed him. Noticing his indecision, the nurse spoke.

"Go to your wife, we've got this little angel." Nodding he hurried back to Emily's side and slid up behind her.

"You're so amazing, Em," he breathed. Emily gave a slight smile before she cried out in pain and curled in on herself.

"I need to push! Their head is right there! Fuck!" she shouted.

"Push!" the doctor and Spencer called in unison. Emily pushed and pushed, slowly her baby's head began to crown.

"That's good, stop pushing so I can ease the head out," the doctor instructed. Emily growled in frustration but did her best to breathe through the contraction.

"I can't wait any longer, pushing!" the laboring woman declared.

"Okay, go ahead," the doctor stated. Emily nodded as she had already started to push. "The shoulders are out. One more small push and you're second baby will be here," the doctor encouraged. Emily grunted and gave one final push. She felt as her child slipped from her body and let out a loud wail. She sank wearily on to her bed completely spent.

"Oh, Em, the baby is perfect," Spencer said choking up with emotion.

"Congratulations, it's another girl. Would you like to cut the cord again, Dad?" the doctor asked. Spencer nodded his head still in shock. He cut where the nurse instructed.

"Say hi to your mommy," the doctor said placing the tiny girl on Emily's chest. Tears were flowing from her eyes and she was smiling.

"We have to take this little one to be cleaned up and have her newborn tests done. We'll have her and her big sister back to you as soon as we can.

"Does she appear to be okay since we didn't know about her?" Emily questioned.

"She looks great the nurse assured the anxious pair.

"Dr. Almond will be surprised," Spencer stated. Emily laughed her doctor wasn't on call tonight so she would have to hear about the surprise baby when Emily called her the next day. Emily groaned as another contraction hit. Thankfully this one was much less painful.

"I think it's time for the placenta for real this time," she announced wincing in pain. Nodding the doctor helped her deliver the placenta while Spencer walked over to where the two teams of doctors and nurses were working on his daughters. Five minutes later a nurse came walking over with two bundles swaddled in pink swaddles.

"This little girl is six pounds six ounces and 20.5 inches long born at 10:55 PM December 28," the nurse said pointing to the baby girl in her right arm. She had Emily's hair but otherwise she was a carbon copy of Spencer.

"Angela Faith," Emily breathed. Spencer nodded as he took the baby and placed her in Emily's arms.

"And this little peanut is six pounds even and 19 inches long born at 11:08 PM on December 28," the nurse said placing the second baby into Reid's outstretched arms. She looked identical to Emily.

"Do you have any ideas for a name for this little surprise?" the nurse asked. Both agents shook their heads.

"That's okay, we can fill out the birth certificates later," the doctor assured.

"How were their Apgar scores?" Spencer questioned.

"Angela's was nine after one minute and a ten after five. Her sisters were an eight after one minute and ten after five minutes. Both are excellent," the nurse stated. Emily and Spencer breathed a sigh of relief. They were grateful that even though their second daughter was a surprise that she was doing well.

"We're going to leave you guys to bond. Emily once you've rested for a bit, you can try nursing if you want?" the doctor suggested.

"Yes, I want to nurse but I'm also planning on pumping so Spencer can help feed. I'm also okay giving them formula if I can't keep up," Emily said. The doctor nodded and headed for the door, leaving the parents to bond with their two newborns.

"So how do you want to tell the team?" Spencer wondered. Emily yawned as she reached out to take the little girl in Spencer's arms, so she was holding both their daughters.

"I'm not sure yet. I think I want until morning, though. If we tell them there's twins tonight, they'll rush over and I need some sleep. Spencer nodded in agreement. They sat in a companionable silence staring at their girls hardly able to believe what had just happened. Just then both girls began to cry.

"I think they might be hungry," Spencer commented. Both girls were making sucking motions with their mouths. Emily nodded as she adjusted her gown and tried to get her youngest daughter to latch. Thankfully she latched with no problem, but she struggled to get Angel to latch.

"Do you need some help?" the nurse asked entering the room.

"Yes, please, I'm having trouble latching Angel so she can feed at the same time," the new mother admitted.

"That's totally normal, here let me help you," the nurse said as she helped the tiny girl latch and she began suckling greedily.

"Wow look at that," Spencer breathed. "They've got the hang of it," Spencer commented.

"It looks that way. Do you want to keep them in here with you or do you want to have them go to the nursery?" she asked. Spencer and Emily looked at each other unsure of the right answer.

"It's up to you, Emily," Spencer told her.

"How about they go to the nursery until they're hungry again? Is that okay?" she asked.

"That's fine with me," Spencer answered.

"That's a good idea," the nurse suggested. Emily began to cry, though.

"I feel like I'm abandoning them, but I'm so tired," she said as tears rolled down her face. The girls stopped eating and looked up clearly sensing Emily's distress.

"Shh, you're not abandoning them, sweetheart. You need rest so you can care for them and yourself properly," Spencer said.

"Your husband's right, you need to take care of you so you can take care of them. It looks like they are both done eating. Why don't you each burp a twin then spend a little more time with them. Press the call button when you want one of us to get them and take them to the nursery, okay?" the nurse checked as she headed for the door. Emily nodded as she unlatched the babies from her breast and handed one to Spencer for him to burp.

A few minutes later both babies were asleep, and Emily was about to press the call button so they could go to the nursery for a bit.

"Hey, Em, what should we name her?" her husband asked.

"I'm not sure, do you have any ideas?" she asked.

"Maybe, but I'm not sure what you'll think about it," he admitted.

"What is it?" Emily questioned.

"Abigail Grace Reid."

"I like that, I know Grace is Garcia's middle name. Where does Abigail come from?" she asked.

Abigail is JJ's middle name," Spencer explained.

"Angel and Abbey, I like it," Emily murmured softly.

"It's settled then, Angela Faith Reid and Abigail Grace Reid," Spencer stated as he placed kisses on their foreheads before placing a tender kiss on Emily's lips. "I love you so much, thank you for giving me such a wonderful gift," he said.

"I love you to, and you're welcome," Emily said as she yawned loudly. Reaching out she pressed the call button and requested a nurse come take Abbey and Angel to the nursery so she could get some much-needed rest.
