18: Committed I Guess

"Three days in and already a week's worth of homework," Lexi groaned as she and Lily walked to Charms.

"I'll save the 'I told you so,'" Lily grinned.

"You basically just said it," Lexi laughed.

"Have you and Sirius had time to…" Lily trailed off with a smirk.

"No," Lexi grinned. "You'd have known."

"I figured. Do you think maybe now summers over he's done," Lily asked hesitantly.

"No, I think we've just got to figure out how to get away with it here," they joined the other students outside the classroom.

"I'm sure you two will," Lily giggled. The Marauders approached the classroom as well and Lexi smirked at Sirius. He winked at her in response.

"Any plans for the weekend," James asked them.

"Homework," the girls rolled their eyes as they spoke in unison.

"After that," he chuckled.

"If the weather's nice go outside," Lexi said, casting a gloomy look at the rain hitting the window.

"We all should," Peter suggested with a grin. Lexi rolled her eyes feeling a set up coming.

"Yeah, alright," Lexi was sure she was the only one to note the sarcasm in Lily's voice. The door of the classroom opened and they entered. Professor Flitwick was on his stack of books at his podium waiting for them. Lexi slid into a bench in the back next to Sirius. James winked at them before moving to sit next to Lily. They both laughed when Lily shot Lexi a look that clearly said help. Before Lexi could move Flitwick started class.

After he lectured them on the water-spell, 'Aguamenti' they were practicing aimed at buckets.

"I haven't been avoiding you," Sirius whispered suddenly, making her stream of water jerk as she jumped and hit the side of the bucket.

"I didn't think you were," she smirked before performing a drying spell.

"Good," he grinned, shooting a stream of water into their bucket. "I meant what I said on the train." She had been performing the spell as he said it and this time hit James in the back of the head.

"Argh," he yelled and turned around. Lexi was bright red as Sirius roared with laughter.

"Miss Garrett," Professor Flitwick eyed her sternly.

"It was an accident Professor, honest," she defended, now trying not to laugh herself.

"Focus, please," he sighed and moved on to helping students.

"Sorry, Jamie," she choked out through suppressed laughter. He rolled his eyes and turned back. "Thanks," she rolled her eyes, smiling at Sirius.

"Just trying to keep things entertaining," he winked.

"You were saying though," she lowered her voice and it turned silky. He noticed her glance and made sure the students around them were focused. She then placed her hand on his thigh, slowly rubbing higher.

"I'd do it right now," he looked her in the eye. She smirked and practiced the spell again.

"Focus, Black," she winked, removing her hand from his leg. Class ended and she was about to get up when he shoved a small piece of parchment in her hand.

"Read it, I'll see you later," he winked and jogged off to meet the other Marauders in the hall.

"What's that," Lily grinned as they walked. Lexi unfolded the paper and read his note.

Meet me in the Library after dinner. Genealogies. Keep your uniform on.

"Looks like I'll be out late," Lexi smirked.

"You just told a prefect you're breaking curfew. And it's to go shag," Lily rolled her eyes.

"Gonna give me detention," Lexi challenged.

"No, but Merlin, Lex, don't get caught," Lily finally sighed as Lexi fell into a fit of giggles.

"Want to grab a quick lunch and head to the commons," Lexi asked once the giggles had subsided.

"Let's just grab some sandwiches and go. I don't want to deal with Potter," Lily sighed.

Remus eyed Sirius as he jogged up and joined them.

"Why'd she hit me with water," James grumbled.

"It was an accident, Prongs, honest," Sirius chuckled. "I made fun of Avery and it distracted her."

"Lily dried you off, stop complaining," Peter chuckled. James shoved him and Peter shoved him back; they joked and fought ahead of Remus and Sirius as they walked.

"I know what you and Lexi are doing," Remus said quietly. Sirius' smile faltered for a moment.

"Yeah, I mean it's something right," Sirius shrugged and slowed his pace. "I'm not going to do anything or be with anyone else while this is going on," he kept his voice low.

"This could end badly, you both need to be careful," Remus sighed.

"I'm not going to mess this up, Moony," Sirius sighed. "Not now that I'm this close."

"I'm going to hold you to that," Remus looked at him sternly.

"Oi, slow-pokes, are you going to join us for lunch," James called back to them.

Lexi smiled when she turned into the Genealogies section in the Library. Sirius was leaning against a bookshelf staring at the one across from him. His shirt was untucked and his tie was loosened. His black shaggy hair was hanging in his eyes. She walked towards him and he looked over, a smile growing on his face.

He watched her walk towards him. Her skirt was definitely shorter than it was supposed to be, her tie was hanging around her collar, and the top few buttons of her shirt were undone. Her auburn hair was pulled into a high bouncy ponytail.

"Hello gorgeous," he murmured as he pulled her in and kissed her roughly.

"Hey handsome," she smirked when they broke. "So what do you have in mind?" She pulled on his tie flirtatiously. "Want to shag me right here," she purred in his ear.

"Merlin, that wasn't the plan but that's going to be added to a list," he smirked down at her. "You really are bad, Red."

"I told you, there's a lot you don't know, Black," she winked.

"Bloody hell, c'mon," he chuckled. He looked around to make sure no one was around and pulled the invisibility cloak out and over them. Using the Marauders Map they carefully made their way to the room of requirement. Sirius paced again before the door appeared for them to slip through. Lexi barely had time to notice the intimate room before his lips were on hers again. He pushed her back until she fell back onto the bed. She hadn't noticed when he had taken her tie as they kissed. She noticed once her hands were tied to the head board above her.

"Sirius," she moaned as he kissed down her chest beginning to undo her buttons.

"I'm going to have some fun, pet. I told you I was going to ravish you, that's exactly what I intend to do," he smirked at her as her shirt fell open. He let his fingers drift over her skin lightly before he moved to her legs. He pushed them open roughly and ran his hands up just past her knees. He began kissing her inner thigh, his head disappearing under her skirt. She gasped and her hips bucked when she felt his hot breath on her wet panties.

"Please," she moaned.

"Patience," he smirked up at her before he slowly began to remove the garment.

The first few weeks of school flew by. Since the night in the Room of Requirement, Lexi and Sirius had not gotten many chances to slip away again. James had begun to worry about quidditch and wanted Sirius' help quite a bit. Class work had gotten intense as they had reached N.E.W.T. Level. The weather was steadily cooling down. Lexi was walking with James and Sirius to Potions.

"You're hosting trials Saturday," Lexi asked James.

"Yeah, are you going to come try out," he asked with a smirk.

"No, but I will come support you," she laughed at his pout.

"The team would be better with you on it," Sirius smirked.

"Not happening, Black," she grinned. They walked up to the queue of other students waiting outside of Slughorn's classroom. Lexi's eyes drifted over the other students. She saw Caden looking over at her. She narrowed her eyes and he quickly looked away.

"Tosser," Sirius mumbled. She noticed his fists ball up tightly.

"Don't go getting detention before tryouts," Lexi rolled her eyes at the two boys.

"Snivellus," James smirked and whispered.

"Jamie," Lexi warned looking over at the boy in the corner.

"He called Lily a you know what," he grumbled.

"Trust me, I wanted to hex him for it too, but I think you taught him a lesson after that," she sighed. "Besides if you want Lil to see you differently you have got to stop being a bully."

"Fine," he muttered.

"Since when did you become the responsible one," Sirius chuckled.

"Someone has to be when you two are together," she laughed.

"What's so funny," Lily asked as her and Remus joined them.

"Nothing," James grumbled looking over at the greasy Slytherin who was now talking to other Slytherins they knew as Scott Avery and Antony Nott.

"Wormtail said tryouts are Saturday morning," Remus said, changing the subject seeing where James' eyes were locked.

"Yeah, in the morning, that way we are-" James stopped looking at Lexi and Lily.

"That way, what Jamie," Lexi grinned slyly.

"Nice try Lex," he smirked.

"You're the one who brought it up," she said in a sing-songy voice.

"I didn't say anything."

"Did too," Lexi smirked. They still didn't know why the other three snuck off on Full Moon nights.

"Evans, are you going to go out with me this year," James smiled charmingly at Lily whose smile fell instantly. Sirius, Lexi, and Remus chuckled.

"No, Potter," she said plainly. The door opened and Slughorn ushered them in. Lily grabbed Lexi pulling her in and over to a seperate table from the boys.

"You've got to say yes eventually," Lexi giggled as Slughorn closed the door and made his way to the front of the class.

"No, I don't," Lily huffed, dropping her book onto the desk loudly and a few other students looked over at the pair.

"Lil, are we really going to do this," Lexi smirked.

"Does he have to be so bloody arrogant," Lily rolled her eyes with a small smile.

"I mean you still like him," Lexi laughed.

"Alright, class today directions are on the board," Slughorn said as he turned the chalkboard over. "Good luck!" Class went on with the girls talking quietly while they prepared their potions. Sirius and James kept glancing over at them.

"You two are helpless," Remus chuckled, catching them again.

"What are you on about," James asked with a slight flush on his cheeks.

"C'mon Prongs," Remus rolled his eyes.

"We're not helpless," Sirius grumbled as he stirred his potion.

"Whatever you say, Padfoot," Remus chuckled again. James looked back over at Lily and Remus gave Sirius a knowing look.

"I just don't get her," James shook his head and went back to work on his potion which was starting to steam a little more than it should be. "She was fine hanging out with me this summer, why not now?"

"Have you tried acting the same here at school as you do at home," Remus smirked.

"I'm the same, bloody person," James rolled his eyes.

"C'mon Prongs, you know we get more boisterous at school," Sirius grinned wolfishly.

"Is that what you call it," Remus chuckled.

"Lex, have you seen my boots," Lily asked across the room as Lexi and her got ready for breakfast Saturday morning.

"I think they are by my trunk, I borrowed them for Slugy's dinner party," Lexi replied from her mirror doing her make-up.

"Merlin that was awful," Lily rolled her eyes as she found the boots. Lexi laughed as she looked over herself one more time. Her auburn hair was straightened and rested well below her shoulders. She had on a golden yellow sweater with a red Gryffindor Crest on it, black jeans with holes in the knees, and black riding boots. She threw on her leather jacket before turning to Lily.

"It's sort of strange honestly. "Collecting" students who have potential to have ties to important people later on," Lexi cringed.

"Sirius seemed nosy about it," Lily commented as she pulled on her jacket.

"He just wants to know who's there and what goes on, so yes nosy," Lexi laughed. "He and James have the open invitation still. Ready?"

"Yup," Lily grinned as Lexi shouldered her guitar case and they left.

"They just don't want to end up stuck like us."

"And who's fault is that," Lexi winked at her best friend.

"So, how are things with Sirius," Lily rolled her eyes with a smile.

"Still shagging," Lexi smirked as they walked. "I haven't heard anything about him with anyone else."

"Have you thought to ask him?"

"I have," Lexi grumbled. "I just don't know how to bring it up. I mean we talk but it's not ever really about us."

"Maybe you should," Lily raised her eyebrows. Lexi rolled her eyes as they reached the Entrance Hall in time to see the remaining Gryffindor Quidditch team leaving.

"Oi, Cap," Lexi called with a smile. James and the team stopped as her and Lily jogged down the stairs. "Don't you have an hour and a half until trials start," she smirked, placing a hand on her hip.

"Exactly, only an hour until hopefuls arrive. We've got a lot to talk about," James said sternly before leading the team out. Sirius hung back laughing with Lexi and Lily.

"This year is going to be a bloody nightmare," Sirius grinned.

"Good luck with that," Lexi rolled her eyes with a laugh.

"You look good, Red," he winked before he jogged off to catch the rest of the team.

"You two are infuriating," Lily groaned as they sat with Peter.

"James seems really focused on being the Captain this year," Peter said anxiously.

"He'll calm down after a win. Plus he is just worried about making sure he gets a good team together," Lexi grinned.

"How many spots does he need to fill," Lily asked, helping herself to some porridge.

"Three, he needs two new chasers and a seeker," Peter answered.

"At least he still has Llyod and Black as beaters, and Twead is a brilliant Keeper," Lexi shrugged.

"He'd be better off if you joined," Peter cackled.

"Not you too, Pete," Lexi laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Has anyone seen Rem today," Lily asked, lowering his voice.

"Yeah we walked with him to the hospital wing this morning," Peter said nervously. Lexi grinned evilly at Lily.

"So are you three going with him tonight," Lexi asked nonchalauntly.

"Nice try, Lex," Peter's smirk looked eerily similar to James.

"Damnit," she groaned, making Lily and Peter laugh. The three finished their breakfast and made their way down to the pitch. Apparently they weren't the only ones wanting to watch this year's trials. Other than the Slytherin team sitting isolated on their side of the stands there were many other Gryffindor students and other houses. Lexi couldn't help but notice bitterly a lot of the onlookers were other girls. The three sat away from other students but made sure they had a good view. James was soon directing those trying out into different groups. Lexi pulled out her guitar and strummed while they watched, humming to herself.

"Flying test, really," Lily said shocked as she watched the first group line up waiting for James' whistle.

"Trust me, with this many people trying out it's needed," Lexi giggled.

"Besides, half the people down there don't actually play. They are here for Padfoot and Prongs," Peter chuckled. Lexi and Lily shared a look and rolled their eyes. It soon became obvious he was right when half of the first group barely made it a quarter around the pitch as they flew. The next group, all girls, fell into a fit of giggles as James blew his whistle before he angrily yelled them off the pitch. Lexi looked over at Sirius who smirked at her and rolled his eyes. She smiled and looked back to her guitar. A few hours later James had narrowed down the hopefuls to four potential Chasers and the only two people who tried for Seeker. The crowd had only grown, as those who had been dismissed stayed to watch. Lexi, Lily, and Peter laughed as Sirius almost hit a potential chaser with a bludger as they were testing how well they could maneuver. Justin Colmax, the potential chaser and a third year, landed yelling about how Sirius had almost killed him. James had gotten into a shouting match with him before kicking him off the field.

"That's the game, Colmax," Lexi hollered at the disgruntled boy who joined the stands. He gave her a dirty look before sitting with his friends. "Little prick," she chuckled, rolling her eyes.

"Who would you pick," Lily asked with a smile.

"Jefferson for Seeker, Handler for chaser, maybe Wright as the other chaser," Lexi sighed, looking down at the field. "Honestly, no one's going to mesh as well as last year's team. The Seekers got some big shoes to fill after Sarah. No one can do it as well."

"I know someone who could," Peter grinned.

"Oh, stop," Lexi laughed going back to her guitar. "Besides if I walked out there now he would have to deal with people saying he only did it because we're "family.""

"Or they would think you're amazing," Lily giggled.

"I thought you didn't want me on the team," Lexi laughed incredulously.

"Doesn't mean you aren't good. I saw you this summer." They watched as James dismissed the third hopeful chaser leaving Handler and Wright to join the beaters on the side of the field. "Sometimes I worry that you and James are too much alike," Lily giggled again.

"Worry? If anything it should make you more sure that I am right," Lexi winked at her best friend.

"Right about what," Peter asked, not taking his eyes off of Jefferson catching golf balls being magically flung into the air by James.

"Nothing," Lily said bitterly, giving Lexi a warning look behind his back making Lexi laugh. Soon enough James talked to the two potential seekers and Jefferson walked with him over to the rest of the team.

"Maybe I should have tried out," Lexi said looking over at the new team.

"Why say it now," Peter cackled.

"There aren't any girls on the team," she smirked.

"As feminist as I am, there weren't any good female tryouts," Lily sighed as she stood stretching. The other students were milling about talking. There wasn't any rush for people to leave, the weather was chilly but nice though light grey clouds covered the blue sky. Lexi began to strum at normal volume now that the trials were over. She didn't care about the attention she had started to receive. The noise of the crowd got quieter letting her playing echo over the pitch. She smirked at Lily then winked down at Sirius who was clearly ignoring James' speech and watching her. When she finished playing the crowd clapped and cheered. Finally the students started leaving.

"Show off," Peter laughed.

"See, you and James are a lot alike," Lily laughed as Lexi packed up her guitar.

"Are not," Lexi smiled, shaking her head. The trio headed down to wait outside of the locker room for the other two.

"So what are we doing at Hogsmeade," Lily asked as they leaned against the side of the Pitch.

"Shopping," Lexi laughed, rolling her eyes. "We've still got two weeks until the first trip though."

"But we should plan it out rather than end up just wandering like we usually do," Lily laughed. The door opened and the team exited with James and Sirius being last.

"Hey, Garrett," the new seeker Blake Jefferson said to her as they walked over. His eyes drifted up and down her.

"Nice trial, Jefferson," Lexi said to the tall dark seventh year.

"Thanks," he grinned. "I'll catch you guys later," he said to Sirius and James before jogging off to the other team members.

"What are you up to," James crossed his arms looking at Lexi amused.

"Nothing, he said hi, I said he had a good trial," she shrugged. "No hidden agenda." Sirius' brow was furrowed as he watched the back of Jefferson's head. He barely noticed Lexi and Lily had walked off.

"What was that about," Sirius grumbled as they started to follow the girls with a distance between them.

"Who knows what's going through her head, Padfoot," James sighed, adjusting his broom to sit on his shoulder.

"You think she fancies him," asked Sirius, shocked to even consider it. He hadn't read much into what she said to him. He had been too pissed about Jefferson checking her out.

"She didn't say anything about him while we were watching," Peter said perplexed.

"She wouldn't have with you there," James chuckled.

"They tell Moony things," Peter grumbled.

"Moony doesn't tell us," Sirius sighed, staring at the red-head in front of him.

X

"Sirius did not seem pleased with Blake checking you out," Lily giggled as they walked.

"I noticed, but c'mon, he just sees this as fun," Lexi shrugged.

"Maybe he doesn't. That looked like jealousy, Lex," Lily offered.

"Or maybe he was just acting for James."

"C'mon, Lexi, pull your head out of your arse," Lily exasperated, making Lexi pause shocked. "What," Lily looked back at her friend innocently with a smile.

"You get scary when you're frustrated," Lexi giggled as they began walking together again.

"If he asks you to Hogsmeade would you say yes," Lily grinned with a raised eyebrow.

"Who," Lexi gave a sly smile.

"It's been a while since I've heard that," Lily rolled her eyes with a laugh. "Blake."

"I'm not sure yet," Lexi smirked, looking over her shoulder, not surprised to see Sirius looking at her. She smiled as her and Lily disappeared through the castle doors. "We'll see how he reacts first." After lunch they noticed that the boys were nowhere to be found. Lexi and Lily were making their way to the seventh floor corridor.

"So how does this work," Lily asked as they stared at the blank wall.

"Keep an eye out for people," Lexi grinned and began pacing. On her third pass a door appeared.

"Wicked," Lily grinned as they hurried through the door. She looked around the studio, her jaw slacked. "I bloody love magic."

"As do I," Lexi laughed pulling a disk in a case out of her bag. She slid it into the equipment.

"So this is where you sneak off to. I don't blame you."

"It's been pretty nice, especially on breaks this year."

"And this room can be anything."

"Yes," Lexi laughed. "Like when Sirius and I had our alone time-"

"I don't need to know," Lily blushed.

"Oh come off it, Lil. Come on, do you want to hear what I've been working on?"

"Of course," Lily smiled, sitting down while Lexi adjusted some things before playing a track. They listened to it quietly. "That's extraordinary, Lexi," Lily beamed when it finished.

"Thanks, I've had a sudden burst of inspiration," she chuckled.

"Well if anything he sure as hell is your muse," Lily laughed. The girls stayed and played around more listening to other songs before it was time to get dinner.

They took their seats and had been at dinner for about twenty minutes before Sirius, James, and Peter rushed in sitting next to them. They began to eat quickly.

"Where's the fire boys," Lexi laughed.

"We're running late," James mumbled through food in his mouth. Lily scrunched her nose at the sight.

"Late for what," Lily asked.

"You do go with him," Lexi gasped after looking at her watch.

"No," Sirius grunted as Peter choked.

"Bullshit, what else would you be late for tonight," Lexi challenged, not taking her eyes off the now blushing James.

"How thick are you three," Lily hissed. "How does Rem even condone this!"

"James Charles Potter, are you seriously playing with a-" Lexi glowered, keeping her voice low.

"Drop it, Lexi," James hissed back with his own glare.

"We are not dropping this," Lexi exasperated.

"We have to go," he sighed, standing with the other two who were being very quiet.

"You are not going," Lexi placed her hands on the table standing as well. Lexi shot her eyes over at Sirius as if expecting him to help her talk James down. He cast his eyes down instantly.

"We are being safe. Drop it," he said before the three walked out. Lexi dropped back in her seat, her mouth hanging open.

"Bloody idiots," Lily shook her head, turning back to her food.

"That conversation isn't over," Lexi huffed angrily, taking a bite.

Lexi woke up early the next morning. She saw Lily's bed curtains still closed when she quietly padded off to the bathroom to shower. She got ready quickly, grabbed her guitar, and slipped down to the common room which was still empty. She and Lily had stayed up pretty late trying to wait for the boys but after one with still no sight of them they had gone to bed. She wasn't letting them off the hook that easily. She began strumming quietly as she sat in the window seat looking out over the grounds under a pale grey sky. Students began stirring a few hours later. Some had begun gathering in the common room, others were just passing through making their way to breakfast. She flipped how she was sitting so she could start watching the stairs to the boys dorm. A little while later a red-head came down the girls dorm stairs.

"How long have you been up," Lily asked sitting in a chair next to her.

"A few hours," Lexi sighed.

"No sight of them yet?"

"Nope," Lexi gritted.

"Let's go get breakfast, they can't avoid us forever," Lily sighed. Lexi nodded and they left. They didn't see them at breakfast either and made their way back to the common room.

"I'm starting to get worried," Lexi bit her lip as they waited again.

"I'm sure they are fine," Lily didn't sound convincing.

"Think I could send one of the others up to check on them?"

"Might make them hide longer."

"Blimey they are dumb," Lexi groaned.

"I can agree with that." They were quiet for a moment. "Lex, did you finally go speak with Dumbledore?"

"No," she caught the look of disbelief Lily shot her. "Look Lil, I'm sure it was nothing. It wasn't recurring like usual. It was just the one dream."

"But it was Hogsmeade, Lexi."

"Fine. I'll go tonight."

"Swear?"

"Swear." Lily was looking at her best friend sternly as a voice came over.

"Hey Garrett," Lexi and Lily snapped out of their stare off as Blake Jefferson sat with them. "Lily," he nodded.

"Blake," she smiled before opening her book back up.

"Jefferson," Lexi smiled at him. "Enjoy celebrating with the team yesterday?"

"Of course, though from what Potter says, had you tried out I wouldn't have made it," he chuckled as his chocolate brown eyes stared into hers.

"James just likes to brag on me," Lexi laughed, setting her guitar down and kicking her feet over the side of her armchair. She noticed as his eyes traced her body and smirked.

"I could see why," he grinned.

"How are classes?"

"They're going well, it's crazy to think I've only got this year left," He said leaning back in the chair. "How do you like sixth year."

"Piece of cake, as long as I keep on top of the homework," she giggled. Just then three groggy boys emerged from the boy's dorm stairs. "Sorry, Jefferson. I've got to take care of something. Talk later?" Lexi nudged Lily pointing to the boys.

"Yeah, sounds good," he smiled before leaving.

"Oi, you tossers," Lexi called as Lily and her walked over to had her arms crossed and eyes narrowed.

"Look, Lex, can we not do this right now," James groaned trying to move around her to the portrait hole.

"No," she placed a hand on his chest, stopping him. She glared at Sirius as well who dropped his eyes to the floor instantly.

"We are exhausted and hungry, we can talk later."

"James-"

"Meet us at the tree by the lake in an hour, alright," he snapped and pushed past her. Sirius gave her a shy apologetic look before following James and Peter.

"C'mon," Lexi said angrily, packing her guitar and pulling Lily out of the portrait hole.

"Lex, they've been doing whatever it is for years, they have been fine," Lily tried calming the other girl down.

"Oh stop it Lily, you just said you think it's bloody dumb too," Lexi said incredulously.

"I do, but he said they'll explain."

"I'm making sure they do," she muttered. They made their way out to the tree by the lake after Lexi looked in to make sure they were actually in the Great Hall. An hour later they saw James and Sirius walking towards them.

"Where's Peter," Lily asked as they sat with them.

"He went to see Moony," Sirius said plainly.

"So," Lexi was looking at James expectantly.

"I'm not telling you what we are up to," James said and held up a hand to cut off Lexi's protests. "It's not because you can't handle it or we can't trust you two. It's just safer the fewer people who know. We can get into a lot of trouble," James looked at her seriously. "I will tell you we are being safe. We have thought of everything. We have been doing it for almost two years and nothing bad has happened. I will tell you when it becomes necessary to tell you." Lexi and James stared at each other, neither of them wanting to break the stand off.

"Fine," Lexi huffed after a few minutes.

"Are we good?"

"Yes," she sighed, rolling her eyes.

"I say basically the same thing and you don't listen" Lily scoffed smiling.

"They have some telepathic communication," Sirius laughed. Lexi and James gave each other a small smile.

"C'mon, let's go see Rem," Lily sighed standing up.

"I think I'll stay here and keep playing for a while," Lexi said.

"I'll bow out too, Poppy won't let all of us in anyway," Sirius chuckled.

"Alright, see you two later," James grinned as he and Lily began walking back to the castle. They seemed to be getting along better nowadays.

"We need to talk," Sirius said. She looked at him and was shocked to see him look a little angry.

"Like about what you three are really up to," she definitely had an attitude.

"You know I'm not going to tell you that," he sighed.

"Fine, what then," she asked. He watched as James and Lily disappeared from view.

"C'mon," he said standing and offering a hand. She packed up her guitar and let him pull her along the lake edge until they were in an area that was hidden by trees and brush. She sat her guitar down against one of the trees before he pushed her up against another. "I want you to understand," he said huskily looking her in the eyes. "Until you tell me this is over, you are mine. You don't sleep with anyone else, you don't snog anyone, you don't go on dates with anyone." He wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her close, his other hand supported him against the tree. He lowered his forehead to rest on hers. "Are we clear?"

"Yes," she managed before she crashed her lips to his in a heated kiss.

"I like you in skirts better," he mumbled against her neck as his hand reached around her arse and rubbed between her legs.

"Noted," she moaned. "Sirius," she said, pulling his head back to look at him in the eyes again.

"Yes, pet," he took her hand and kissed her fingers.

"That's not a one way street you get that right?"

"I wouldn't ever think it was," he smirked and kissed her again. This one was different. She melted into it. It was passionate but slow.

"Think we could sneak to the room of requirement," Lexi smirked at him when they broke.

"I'd take a bloody broom closet right now," he grinned and pulled her guitar on his back before leading her out of their hiding spot. The moment they were out in the open he dropped her hand. She smirked over at him and winked.

Lexi, Lily, James, Sirius, and Peter were in the common room lounging in a corner after dinner. Lexi looked at her watch. It was eight thirty. She nudged Lily with her food and nodded to the portrait hole. Lily nodded catching what she meant. Suddenly Lily moved to re-dip her quill in her inkwell but instead knocked it over the papers she was working on.

"Shit," she exclaimed loudly, pulling attention to her.

"Well done, Lil," Lexi rolled her eyes and stood moving papers away that were yet touched.

"I'll help," James stood and started trying to help Lily. Peter who had been playing Wizards Chess with James watched and giggled as they tried to clean it up. Luckily, no one thought of their wand right away. Lexi slowly started edging away from the group, turned quickly and darted out the door. She hadn't noticed Sirius watching her. He smirked and followed as they others were distracted as well. Once in the corridor he jogged to catch up to her.

"Where are you off to Red," he asked as he got closer. She jumped and stopped looking like she had just been doing something wrong.

"Well-I…" She was trying to think of something but his smile was fading and he was starting to look worried. "I had another vision." His jaw dropped. "Like a week before we came back."

"Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"I told Lily. I'm on my way to Dumbledore now," she mumbled and he began walking with her.

"Did someone-"

"No, it was strange. I only saw it once. It didn't feel like the others either."

"Where was it?" She muttered something but he couldn't hear her. "What?" He stopped her.

"Hogsmeade," she looked scared.

"I'm going with you to talk to him."

"Sirius, you don't have to."

"I want to." Their eyes stayed locked for a moment. There was that look from years ago. A total other side of him not many saw.

"Okay," she said quietly. He took her hand and they finished the walk to the Headmasters office silently. She gave the password, they climbed the stairs, and knocked.

"Enter." She pushed the door open and they walked in. "Ah, Alexandra, and Sirius. What a surprise."

"Not a good one, I'm afraid, sir," Lexi's voice was smaller than Sirius had ever heard it.

"Another vision, then?"

"Yes, sir," she said as he offered them seats which they took. "I will admit I didn't come as soon as I should have."

"Oh?" She took a deep breath.

"It was at the end of August, but it didn't feel like the others. It only happened once."

"I see. What did you see this time?"

"It was Hogsmeade. Just a normal day in Hogsmeade, then there were people appearing all over the town. They were wearing masks, dark robes and cloaks." Sirius stared at her as she spoke. Her eyes flicked to him nervously before she looked back to Dumbledore and continued. "They started setting buildings on fire and attacking people, students and villagers. There was a scream and then there was an image in the sky. It was an emerald skull with a serpent coming out of its mouth."

"Did you see it how you normally do? As yourself placed there?"

"No, that's what was strange. I was fully in it. I felt like I was dreaming. I was in Hogsmeade with Lily and-" her eyes flicked back to Sirius again briefly. "And it was as if it was a dream. Just a normal dream that turned into a nightmare. I reacted as if I was there. Not viewing something. Does that even make sense?"

"I understand. You didn't have control as you have been able to with the others."

"Right. Like before I could look around my surroundings more. I could look away if I didn't want to see something. I had even- I've even been able to move how I want to see things better since I've worked with you, sir."

"Did it at least feel real? Your fear, what was happening," Dumbledore asked as he peered at her over his pressed finger tips.

"Yes, sir. I-uh…" she took a deep breath and refused to look at Sirius. "In this 'vision' I was struck by a part of a wall from a building that was blown up with a spell and I felt the pain. I didn't have any physical marks when I woke up but I felt sore the next day."

"It's possible that since this vision does in fact involve you being in the vicinity of the attack, the perspective changed. You may have truly seen what is to come, Miss Garrett." Silence fell on them. She didn't know what to say.

"So what happens now," she finally asked.

"Well, we will need to dig more into the details of the vision to determine when this may happen. I will start reaching out for more security in the town and around the school. We may need to step back into this one Miss Garrett, if you think you can do that."

"I think I could, sir." Sirius' eyes went wide but he stayed quiet. "I know it was in the second term. We were wearing summer clothes. Light jackets, if that. It was really sunny. We were talking about final exams, the Quidditch Cup coming up, and summer plans."

"That's good. It means we have time. Then I will ask for you to return tomorrow evening for us to review this more."

"Yes, sir." He pulled out a small piece of parchment and scribbled a note on it.

"Here you are, if Argus stops you please give him this," Dumbledore smiled at them with the twinkle in his eyes.

"Thank you, sir," they both said and left the office. They were quiet as they descended the spiral staircase and stepped back out onto the Grand Staircase landing.

"So," Lexi said nervously looking at Sirius finally.

"You step back into those horrible things to break them down and look at them closer," he asked rather impressed.

"Yes," she said quietly.

"That's tough as hell, Red," he grinned at her. She smiled clearly relieved.

"I didn't want you to think I'm crazy or…"

"Lex," he pulled her into a hug. "I've been on your side since the beginning of this. You're just an impressively powerful witch, who is badass for facing this scary shit," he chuckled and kissed her forehead.

"Thanks," she muttered as they started back to Gryffindor Tower.

"So does it help?"

"Yes, I can actually see a lot more that I didn't realize before. They stay with me like memories so we can use a pensive to look at them."

"You said you can control the other visions?"

"In a way," she shrugged. "It's like when they first happened I was tied to move the same way the attackers did or I moved with the victims. Now I can stay tied to them but I can also sorta 'break away' and move around and see a scene differently."

"That's kinda cool," Sirius smirked.

"Sorta," she smiled.

"So if we don't use this tonight," he grinned, taking the pass from Dumbledore and looking at it. "Damn, he dated it. Nevermind then," Sirius grumbled disappointedly.

"Dumbledore is not stupid," Lexi giggled as they climbed back through the portrait hole.

"Where the bloody hell did you two go," James asked as soon as they were in view. He looked very cross. The common room was now empty other than Lily, James, and Peter.

"To talk to Dumbledore," Lexi rolled her eyes. James dropped his arms instantly and his posture softened.

"Did you have another one?"

"Merlin, Potter you're baccy. I'm going to bed. We'll talk tomorrow, or Sirius can fill you in," she laughed and headed up the stairs, Lily right behind her.

"Is everything alright," James asked him once they heard the door shut.

"For now yeah, but expect Hogsmeade to be cancelled after Valentine's day," Sirius sighed dropping into a chair.

"Why," Peter asked nervously.

"She saw an attack on the Village while we were all there on a trip. She said it was different though. The way it happened anyway, Dumbledore thinks it's because she's actually one of the attacked. Like because she's there she saw it from her own perspective of what is going to happen." There was silence.

"So not, if it happens but it is happening," James' voice was shaking.

"That's what Dumbledore made it seem like."

"Well shit."
