Listen to one's heart
Sora was getting ready for the party, the night had finally come. He was going to dance with Namine then ask her to go see the world with him and Bill. Together all three of them would go on the adventure of a lifetime.
The rest of the lesson went well. It was actually fitting that Sora wanted to leave the Island too. Helping with research meant that he too could find a way out of Destiny Island. In fact the more he spent time with Riku and Kairi the more he really did enjoy their company. Maybe he could get them to go on an adventure of five. Them, Namine and Bill, a big friendly adventure on the seas. Just like the stories his mom would tell about his dad.
Sora sighed at that thought.
Taking a deep breath Sora looked at himself in the mirror, still wearing his usual clothes he wanted to make sure he was still somewhat spiffy.
Heading to the door he was ready for the night...Until he saw Riku standing out there.
"Riku?"
Riku came in, "Is uh...is Kairi or Namine here?"
"No? No why?"
Sora noticed that Riku seemed a bit more frazzled than normal. The moment he walked inside he started fidgeting, something was definitely off.
"Hey, are you okay?" Sora asked slowly walking up to him.
"Y-yeah…" Riku took a deep breath, "It's just ...I think I got it"
"Got what?"
"The answer...The answer to getting out of here, the Island...All it requires is some sort of key ...and a door…."
"Key? Door? What?"
Riku rolled his eyes, "A door...That door...The one in the cave, all it needs is a Key...Some sort of ancient Key ...I saw it in a book, I just need to find it"
"Okay, okay Riku slow down…" Sora said getting nervous now, "What key? How do you find this key?"
"That's the thing ...I don't know, said it only appears to someone worthy or whatever...So…." Riku shrugged, "I don't know...Maybe a crisis needs to happen or something"
"You're going to start a crisis?"
"No!" Riku snapped, "I mean….I-I don't know"
"Well I hope you don't start a crisis"

Bill had been a good teacher of developing her powers. Since Sora wouldn't be needed till the party they had all the time to focus on getting ready. She had plenty of time to practice her powers and boy was she learning fast. It was amazing really, here in the memory world she really could make anything possible. Her potential was limitless, and she could come up with anything that her mind could think of.
"Now let's get this place ready!" Bill stretched his fingers
Namine was getting excited as she watched Bill conjure up the party for her, a bit nervous but excited. Not only did he get rid of Larxene and Marluxia for her, but he was also teaching her new ways to use her memory powers. Here in the memory world she never realized just how much she was capable of. She never felt so powerful and confident in her existence before.
Not only did she make herself more popular on the Island but she insured that everyone knew that she and Sora were the most perfect couple for each other. To the point where everyone would be jealous and envious of it.
If all went according to plan Sora would declare his love to her in the middle of the Island beach for everyone to see. Cementing their relationship with each other .Sure they were all memories but it didn't matter to her it would be real. That sense of attention that might soon come around her sent chills.
Namine soon found herself standing in the middle of a spotlight, only problem was there was no light on her before.
Bill must have conjured it using his powers
Ever since he arrived he had definitely been quite a strange friend to have. Frantic perhaps, and definitely vulgar in some of his ideas of enjoyment and entertainment. So far he had been helping her make sure that this memory world of hers was perfect. Perfecting her own powers so that people reached the way she wanted them too.
Part of her felt sort of guilty, none of it was really real. All the people were just conjurings, not the actual entities. The only real person here was Sora, and Riku and the Riku here was just a mere Replica. Namine felt guilty about having to use him, and hoped that maybe she'd be able to let him go once she had Sora for her friend.
It would be real soon enough.
"Excited to be a star kiddo" Bill snickered leaning on the stage, looking up at Namine, "You'll give Cinderella a run for money if this all works out"
Namine blushed, looking nervous "A little"
Bill shrugged. "Eh don't be we're gonna have to change that outfit by the way"
Bill snapped his fingers again and changed Namine's design. Instead of the white skirt now appeared an elegant looking yellow dress. It was quite majestical looking. Namine felt like a princess for the first time in her life. Perhaps this is how Kairi felt when she was around Sora or living on Destiny Island. Now it was going to be her turn to shine.
Soon she'd be part of the story.
"WHAT...IS...GOING….ON ...HERE!"
Oh no, Namine knew that femine voice all too well.
Bill and Namine turned around as a portal of darkness opened...Larxene had arrived.
"L-Larxene" Namine gulped, jumping back, staying close towards Bill, "I-um….."
"I see you made a new friend" Larxene snickered pointing to Bill, "So...Your the force Marluxia has been sensing in the Castle the whole time"
"He's been sensing me? I'm touched" Bill said tipping his hat to her
Larxene laughed, "Clever, I like you...To bad I'm gonna have to kill yuh"
"Same"
"As for you though," Larxene appear behind Namine tugging her at the hair now, a sadistic grin on her face, her talons near her cheek "When I'm done with you...Well...Your gonna have to manipulate Sora's mind a lot just so she can look at you"
"I-I'm sorry…." Namine said almost in tears.
Larxene sneered, "Well...Say goodbye to your little demon friend"
"Bill run!"
Bill laughed, "Kid? Please, I can handle this, just stay still" He held his hands to an eye to get a good shot, "I just gotta see how I wanna do this"
"You really are crazy aren't you" Larxene sneered, tugging Namien a bit closer to her, putting the talons to her throat now. "I'd be careful of your next move"
Bill rolled his eye.
Larxene smirked, now she began to activate her electric powers. Namine had heard of this move, but she had never seen in done. The fact that she was so close to her made it a bit unnerving. However Bill just seemed quite relaxed, he leaned on his cane and smirked back at both of them. He seemed quite in command of the situation.
Bill stood as Larxene began activating her electric powers.
Namine watched as nobody continued to charge up her. She was about to unleash a wave of electricity on both of them, the power voltage engulfing her until suddenly Namine heard a light SNAP, which was Bill's finger. A bucket of water appeared above her and draped on her as Namine was flisked back to Bill's side.
"What the-" Larxene couldn't finish as the electricity and water mixed.
Namine gasped at the sight of what happened next.
Bill's manic smile just rose.
"Well ...That was shocking" Bill smirked, "And maybe Anti-Climatic but hey, I'm not one for a big fight"
"Did you...Did you…" Namine looked at the place where Larxene once stood and walked over to it.
"Yepper!"
Namine was agasp, she didn't know what to think. One the one hand she had just watched someone die. One the other hand it was Larxene, and she always hated her. There was nothing bad she could think of to this outcome. If anything, this was probably one of the best things that could have happened in a long time.
"She deserved this you know…" Bill said walking up to Namine a bit closer, "She was going to hurt your Sora...Doesn't seem right to me...She was a crazy psycho! Not to mention helping Marluxia, hurting you, manipulating you ...Look how much she, Marluxia and the others have kept back from you"
"Yeah, guess your right their" Namine sighed, "I-I never realized just how much I've been able to do in a memory world"
"Exactly! Your a real master of the mind! Imagine what you could do"
Namine did imagine, part of it was enticing, however it was soon to be interrupted by a horrible thought. "Wait, what about the organization, there are others out there, others who know about me and would hurt Sora"
"Pfft, no they won't, you have me now" Bill wrapped his hands around her shoulders and smiled, "Now we are free to listen to our hears, to become our true selves"
"True selves' Namine asked sounding nervous.
Bill chuckled, "Yes, don't tell me you didn't enjoy me destroying your tormentors, even a little"
Namine didn't answer, unsure what exactly to say.

All this wackiness weirdness was contagious, Namine was starting to get why he was like this. This was freedom. No Marluxia, Larxene, Vexen...All of them were just holding her back. This was definitely alot more fun!

The dance was here, and Namine was probably the most excited she had ever been in her life. Standing outside it was a bit chilly, the other kids were walking around talking, dancing, having a good time. She looked up to see the night sky, how the moon was just perfectly positioned for ample romantic outcomes. All the stars perfectly twinkling with one another.
Bill had helped set up most of the decorations and memory so that it was pitch perfect to what she wanted. She had to admit that despite his wacky shenagings he did seem to know how to get the job done. He was quite intelligent, even if he was manic a lot of the time.
Sora hasn't arrived yet though.
Namine bit her lip wondering what was going on.
A few minutes passed.
"Namine?" She jumped back, Riku was standing behind her now, "Everything okay?"
Namine blinked, Riku seemed very calm, almost a little too calm, "Oh, hi Riku? What's up?"
"You seemed a bit distressed , anything I can do?"
"What, oh no, just waiting for Sora that's all"
Riku frowned but nodded, "I understand" he said taking a deep breath, something seemed off "Well-that's okay"
Namine wondered what was going on? She hadn't affected the memory too much. This was just a replica after all, a puppet, created by Vexen. So any feelings he was feeling were just the ones she made for him. Still, they seemed so real, a little no natural. Perhaps just as a sign of her powers.
"Hey Namine" Riku said again, "Just uh, just know, everything's going to be great...okay?"
Again Namine was confused, however she just nodded, "Well, okay Riku, if you say soo"
"I promise, I think I know what to-" Before she could ask he ran off.
Namine again was just standing there alone, until-
"Namine!" She turned to see Sora, waving to her. A wave of joyous emotions overtook until, she saw Kairi standing right next to him. All the joy seemed to vanish as she felt cold. Could this be what they would call jealousy.
"Namine" Sora ran up to her again, that dumb expression on his face, "We made, sorry were late, wow look at this place"
"We?"
"What? Oh yeah," Sora pointed to the girl next to her, "This is Kairi, she's staying with me for a bit"
Namine eyes widened in shock.
Kairi! What was she doing here, how was that even possible. Something was wrong. If Kairi was here did that mean that she didn't get rid of her memory. What was she going to do now? Was everything she had planned starting to fall apart. She could feel her mind enter a tizzy.
"Well, well, well, aren't we a ladies man tonight" Bill arrived now, twirling his cane and looking surprised, "Kairi, welcome, names Bill"
"Hello Bill" Kairi took his hand and shook it.
Namine watched Bill, he seemed so calm and confident.
"Well Namine, this is your party and the big dance is coming" Bill said patting her back, "Don't worry about a thing, everything is gonna be great". He winked before walking up, signaling that this wall according to whatever plan he had in mind.
"Yeah," Namine said, trying to stay calm as she glared at Kairi for a second, "Great"
Sora smiled, "Anyway I got yuh something" He pulled out flowers and handed them to her.
Namine noticed and felt joy again, the jealousy subsided. The memory must be working. She took the flowers and smelled them, though she didn't smell anything. They were wake flowers, made up of memories.
"They are lovely, "She lied. Hugging them tight as Sora just looked on top of the world. Kairi gave him an approving smile, which made Namine cold again.
"Well, Kairi, mind if Sora and I be alone for a bit" Namine asked.
Kairi looked taken back but quickly nodded, "Yes, of course, I'm sure you two want all the time you need"
"Okay, see you later Kairi" Sora waved watching her go.
Namine glared at her for a few moments before quickly going to Sora smiling again. She looked into his eyes, and saw there was feelings towards her. Feelings that were as far as he could tell, were real. However the more she looked the more he noticed that there was a tiny twinge, his eye looking up, up towards Kairi.
The feelings that were genuine.
"Well-" Namine tried to ignore the feeling right now putting the flowers down, "Do you want to dance"
"Uh-" Before Sora could answer she took his hand and towards the center of the party.
On stage Namien could see Bill arrive, the spotlight coming on him. She was starting to tell that he enjoyed being the center of attention. However soon that would all change.
"Greetings ladies and gents" Bill said tapping the microphone, "Welcome one, welcome all ...So...Let's get straight to the part everyone wants to get to ...The dancing ...And lets get to the part, where we put the spotlight on a random couple, just to embarrass them, and of course what better couple…."
On cue, the spotlight came on Sora and Namine.
"Oh-" Sora looked unsure and embarrassed, "Um...Hi"
Namine giggled, "So um ...You wanna dance"
"S-S-Sure"
Namien took Sora by the hand, the two got closer. She wanted to feel her head pressed against her chest. Bill was already at the microphone. Was he going to sing? Apparently he was for the music began to play. A nice enchanting theme, and Bill's voice rang through the machine as the song started.

Namine looked up to see Sora looking at her as the two continued to dance. However she could tell that his eye was wondering. Looking into the crowd. Looking for something or perhaps someone. Using some of the new tricks Bill had taught she started having some of the crowd gather round to admire them. She wanted this memory to be perfect, just her and Sora. In the spotlight. Her and her hero, together.
Still, Sora was looking.
Looking at Kairi.
Namine started to concentrate a bit more now on Sora, hoping to get his attention, using her power over memory so that he'd focus on her.
"Sora," Namine said.
Sora looked at her, "Yes"
"Smile for me"

The more the song played and the more Namine looked at Sora she tried to see if she could him to look at her again. She concentrated with all her might until she finally got him to work. Only, only the satisfaction was not there. The emotion was not there. All she saw instead was dull eyes. Controlled eyes. This was not true, this was not genuine
Namien couldn't help but feel something was wrong. She wanted to not care, she wanted to just ignore it and live this dream. After all it was her dream, her world of memory, she created it. Why shouldn't she enjoy it.
However she couldn't.

However Bill was not smiling at this point, if anything he seemed disappointed. As the song stopped he gazed into the crowd, his own smile dimmer than usual and just bowed before walking off stage.
"Enjoy the show people" Bill said, his voice a bit dull.
Sora stepped back from Namine now and just looked at her with that kindly smile. If she had a heart it would have melted. He was so kind and innocent, and she, she wanted to control him. That-that was many things but love wasn't one of them.
"Sora I-" Namine felt a lump form in her throat, "Sora I-I want to tell you something"
"Yes Namine?"
"Sora I-" Before she could say anything she felt her mouth being covered over. Looking up she saw Riku, almost deranged, glaring at Sora.
"Riku!" Sora shouted, "What are you doing!"
Riku just smirked, "Getting what I deserve" With that Namine felt herself being dragged away, of course no one was doing anything. For she vanished in a portal of darkness. The last thing she saw was Sora go after her, only to vanish within sight.

The light had returned, as Namine found herself sitting on a small tiny Island near the main play Island. Bill and Riku were with her.
Namine wasn't sure what was happening right now but whatever it was, it couldn't be good. As the portal of darkness opened she found herself in the tiny little peninsula area of the Island. The ocean around her started to darken. The waves are churning. Bill was standing there waiting still in human form, looking at Namine sternly before quickly reverting to his wide crooked grin. The darkness was starting to overcome this world of dreams and memories.
Riku put her down finally near the edge of the Island as Bill arrived seeming quite pleased with himself. He walked over to Bill and nodded. Bill gave him the thumbs up before hopping over to Namine his eye looking quite intense. The manic expression is quite prevalent.
"Bill!" Namine shouted, dazed and confused "What is happening"
"Oh that's easy" Bill chuckled, slowly walking towards Namine, his smile growing with every passing second "I'm setting everything up for Sora and Riku to have one epic clash, since the real Riku isn't here we'll use old Replica instead"
"W-Why?" Namine asked, her voice in a panic, "Is this really necessary"
Again Bill just laughed, "Don't you get it? Riku and Kairi are Sora's two greatest companions outside of Goof and Duck. He got rid of Goof and Duck for you, now he only needs to be rid of them both by rejecting her and killing him. If you are able to do get Sora to off the kid, then he's completely isolated, and his heart is empty of all things that are important to him".
"K-Kill?" Namine gulped, her voice starting to shake "Does he really have to uh...Kill?"
"Well yeah" Bill stated matter of factly "...He's gonna do what he couldn't do the first time, he's gonna take out his friend, without realizing it this time! Complete rejection...Oh man I can already hear the screaming in my head." He let out a maniacal laugh, "And just think! A kid his age, wielding the greatest power on earth...With a broken mind! Just imagine the possibilities! The Organization wouldn't stand a chance, nor would anyone else for that matter. The worlds won't stand a chance either, anyone who stands against us! We'll have a manic Keyblade Master to let loose like a rabid dog!"
"And if Sora doesn't do that" Namine asked looking nervous.
"Easy" Bill summoned what looked to be a tiny Sora doll and held it in his hand. Slowly he began to clench his fists, harder and harder to start to squeeze until the doll was completely covered in blue flame, and then it disintegrated.
It was at that moment that Namine realized she had just made a deal with a demon.
Bill nodded, "Yep...I'll just eradicate his heart and take over his body"
Namine gasped, "Wait what!?"
Too late, Bill had started up on another song.

Namine felt herself being tugged by Bill as his arm snaked around her shoulder, his smile manic and he gazed on the horizon, "We're gonna be part of the story now kid! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Oh no" Namine was on the verge of tears, "What have I done!"
