FIGHTING THE FORCE

(PART 3: A LESSON HARD-LEARNED)

THIRD PERSON-VILLERIA, BRAISA, AND MARIDA

Just as the dark warrior raised his weapon to slice Villeria and Braisa into pieces, a barrage of blasterfire flew at him, forcing him back. Eventually, the Zabrak began to back away and retreat. As he retreated, he was alone seeing as how his entire army had been destroyed.

After the Zabrak was out of sight, two clones hoisted Braisa on her feet while got up, though the pain on her ribs made her wince in the effort.

While Villeria, Braisa, and Marida were getting their wounds treated by medical droids, they all had the exact same thought: "What was that?"

"We need to know just who and/or that was that almost cut us to pieces." Marida said as she sat up.

"I concur," Braisa said, "but we should also find out what we can about that crazy weapon he was using."

Villeria scoffed and said, "I've fought beside General Nolek and General Stagen. I saw General Nolek make quick work of a Twi'lek that carried a weapon like that. General Stagen even killed a Rodian that carried one of those things."

"I was aboard the Black Knight once. Eleven of those lightsabers were on a table." Braisa said.

"Hmm..." said Marida, "If we want to know anything about any type of Force adept, a Jedi would be the perfect source of information."

"Excellent idea, Marida." Braisa said.

"Well, General Nolek is currently leading the 80th Legion against Imperial forces on Zygerria." Marida said.

"Perhaps General Stagen could enlighten us. As far as I can tell, he's still on Araxis." Villeria said.

"Alright."

Villeria activated her communicator and Jedi General Hal Stagen appeared on the screen.

"General Fraes, Colonel Micraden, Commander Nilun. What do you require at this time?" General Stagen said.

"We fought a Zabrak male with a strangely designed lightsaber." Villeria said.

"We figured that if one ever wanted to learn anything about Force-users, they should ask a jedi for information on such things." Said Marida.

"What did this 'strangely designed lightsaber' look like?" General Stagen asked.

Braisa started to say, "Well, the handle had a circle around it and-"

The Jedi stopped her and said, "Wait. Did the lightsaber blades spin really fast automatically?"

"Yes."

"What of it?" Villeria asked with concern.

"You three are lucky to be alive. You barely survived a confrontation with an Inquisitor." Stagen said.

"What is an Inquisitor?" Braisa asked.

"An Inquisitor is a Force adept trained in the dark side with job of hunting down and eliminating fugitive Jedi or killing any Force-sensitive younglings who refuse to join them lest the youngling take the path of the light." Stagen said.

"Have you ever faced one?" Marida inquired.

"I have. General Nolek's faced several Inquisitors and battled Darth Vader himself quite a few times. He even fought the Emperor personally."

"How his he still alive?" Ask Villeria as her eyes widened.

"He is skilled enough to face and defeat at least four Inquisitors single-handed."

"What about Vader and the Emperor. Vader may severely injure him, but Sidious would destroy him." Braisa said.

"Well, General Nolek did tear through an entire squadron of stormtroopers single-handed." Marida chimed in.

"Whenever Nadeen fights Vader, he'll overpower Vader and force him to either hide behind soldiers or run. As for Darth Sidious, their duels usually end in a draw with both combatants escaping with mild injuries." General Stagen said.

"Well, what should we do if we encounter another Inquisitor?" Asked Villeria.

"Avoid him as best you can." General Stagen said.

With that, General Stagen deactivated his communicator, leaving the three officers to ponder whether they would ever face such an opponent again
