Alexander walked slowly, his heart thumping loudly on his ears, his fists clenching and sweat traveling down his forehead.

Chris stood in front of him, a pure look of mania and bloodthirst illuminated his eyes. The muscles in Christopher trembled and his chest rose and fell briskly.

He grinned. "Save me?! You are crazy!" his laugh echoed as he swung his bronze sword threateningly.

Alexander gritted his teeth, fury filling him all as he inspected the way Ganondorf manipulated his brother, not caring if he died or got injured. He wanted to get to Ganondorf and finish him off. He wanted to charge at Chris and somehow save him.

But how?

The others inspected the scene and the people of the town treated Chares and Colin's injuries. Ilaria kept her gaze in the battle, her worry incrementing as the seconds passed. But she couldn't do anything… for the good of Alexander and Christopher, she had to let them handle it.

Alger was heartbroken, what Chris had said earlier made him falter, even though he repeated to himself his son was possessed, the pain still clung to his heart. Alexander was also in danger, and that made Alger close his eyes and beg the Goddesses for protection of his sons.

Jaiden looked at the princes. Never in his wildest dreams, this whole adventure would've happened. This situation hit him like a reality fist. Things weren't how they used to be some weeks ago. Alexander, the weak and naive kid that was his best friend at camp started vanishing and getting replaced by a strong and clever prince. Jaiden had been secretly proud of him, but seeing him in this situation was nerve-wracking. Also Chris, they had become good friends lately and Jaiden felt an unbearable amount of stress. He made himself a promise of punching Ganondorf in the face when he saw him.

Chris stopped laughing. "Come on then! Attack!" the sweat all over his face, the coughing of tiredness and the shaking in his body made Alexander decide something. His brother was suffering. He had to stop it. There was no risk-free way of saving him. There was a plan in his mind, but the risk was enormous… he could lose his brother forever.

Alexander nodded and prayed. What he was about to do was dangerous and reckless, but if he prayed hard enough, maybe it could save his brother.

He prepared his bow and murmured Ancient Hylian words, summoning his power and surrounding his bow with a silver glow. Alexander took a controlled breath and aimed at his brother.

The surroundings became black, nothing to be seen apart from them both.

Chris's eyes widened and retrieved their usual blue color. Tears framed his eyes and whimpers filled the air.

"W-what are you doing brother? I-in the end, am I just a monster for you?" his voice pained and filled with sadness. "P-please don't, I- I didn't choose to be born this way!" his screams cutting through the air.

Alexander briefly lowered his bow. "Chris…"

"P-please, w-we can figure it out, right?" he said.

Alexander was caught off guard. In a flash, Chris had approached him, and pierced the sword through his chest. Alexander gasped. Through the blur of the image, he saw that the black lines and orange eyes had returned to his brother's face.

Chris smiled. "Sleep well, brother"

Alexander closed his eyes and he stopped feeling anything.
