When Michael landed in Dorssia, his first thought wasn't of the revolution, his friends, or even his princess. It was of Haruto. Was Haruto okay? Had his friends kept him safe? What if he got hurt tonight? He met up with other rebels and they fought their way onto the palace grounds. By now there were a few bodies littered on the ground. Michael knew none of them could be Haruto's.

They all wore guard uniforms. And even one of them was Haruto, he couldn't afford to stop. He had to tell himself every time not to give the bodies a second glance. Every moment counted tonight.

And all he had to do was stick to the plan. A plan he himself had made. And it was flawless. So long as everyone did their job, Haruto would be fine, the others would be fine, and they'd end this night with the country in the palm of their hands. Eventually, Michael broke off from the group he arrived with to rendezvous with Bijoux and the others. At this point on the evening, they should be closing in on Cain and the fuhrer's position.

He was jogging down a hallway when who should he see crossing in the adjacent hall but Haruto himself. Haruto caught a glimpse of silver out of the corner of his eye and stopped right in his tracks. Michael wanted to scold him for being so careless but he realized his feet had stopped moving as well. In fact, Haruto was the faster reaction, turning down into his hallway and crushing Michael in a tight hug.

It took Michael a second for his brain to catch up and hug him back. For once, could the universe let him have this? Michael felt as if he could spend the rest of his life in Haruto's embrace, simply letting time melt away. The sounds of gunshots brought him back to reality though and he loosened his hold without completely parting from Haruto.

"Why are you still out in the open?", Michael demanded to know.

"We're...we're going to...we were on our way...", Haruto was breathless and it wasn't from running.

Michael looked behind Haruto and saw the others waiting patiently. They didn't have time for this. They had to stick to the plan.

"Let's get moving", he ordered.

Michael gave a cursory nod to Bijoux, Robin, and Ira. Then a bow to the princess. And then they were off. Every guard they came up against was answered with their own violence thrown back at them, at least on Michael's end. He went for the kill shot every time, as did his comrades, all in the name of keeping Princess Lieselotte safe. All except for Haruto.

Whenever he was faced with an opponent, he fought them off with ease, and then simply knocked them out. Michael was thinking how that would bite them in the ass later in the night if they weren't careful. Those soldiers could awaken at any moment. At the same time, he couldn't help but be a little proud. And perhaps a bit turned on. They came to a door with a coded lock, which Robin opened. It revealed a set of stairs that went down.

"There's a safe room underground", Michael said. "You two are going to stay there until you get the all clear", Michael said.

Both Liesel and Haruto were left to hide themselves away while the others took care of the fuhrer. And because everything always went according to Michael's plans, they were able to nab the fuhrer, bringing him to the throne room to publicly execute the man.

And because plans always go wrong just as you think they're going off without a hitch, there goes the hitch.

"You guys...", Yonah walked into the room, accompanied by his father, Cain.

"Yonah...", Ira said. "You were supposed to be-"

"Assassinated?!"

"Not you", Bijoux said. "We sent people to hold you."

"So you only wanted to assassinate my father!", Yonah shouted.

Cain stepped forward. "You should have known better than to send nobodies to take care of us."

Michael was standing with the fuhrer, restraining him with a gun to the head. It didn't matter if Cain or one of his oldest friends was here now. All he had to do is pull the trigger.

And that was when the second thing went wrong.

"Michael!", Haruto shouted as he ran into the room.

Michael's eyes widened. "What are you doing here?!"

It was in that split second of distraction, that someone took their chance. Haruto fell back with a cry, hand clutching his shoulder in pain as red bloomed under his shirt.

"You're still a child in many ways, Karlstein", Cain said, lowering his gun.
