-Homeworld-

Yellow Diamond was sitting in her throne waiting for her Pearl to come back with some reports that she desperately needed. One report was if any rebels have been found from the colony on Autumn, the other was the opinions of different commanding officers about what they should do about Earth and the Crystal Gems. She was deep in thought about what she should do, they had no luck finding any of the new rebels from the new rebel group and she personally believed they didn't need to waste any more soldiers on that planet because of the cluster … 'Earth will die sooner or later, what's the point?'

She was soon broken out of her thoughts when Yellow Pearl came rushing in to give the reports. "My Diamond, I have the reports you requested. Is there anything else you need?"

Yellow Diamond looked relieved, she had been waiting for ages and she couldn't wait any longer. Something needed to be done. "Thank you Pearl, that will be all."

Yellow Diamond sat there reading through everything she could, something needed to be done, 'The Great Diamond Authority is being made a fool of …'

The report about the new rebel group was rather useless, it reported that nothing could be found in the area, it was like they disappeared. The other report, however, was a lot more interesting. The ideas of what to do were different, some were in favour of the idea while others generally believed it was a waste of resources for a full-fledged invasion.

After reading for seemed liked hours she had reached a decision, she would send a spy to capture a member of the rebellion. This would hopefully bring the rest of them into a trap. For the other rebellion, it was clear that they weren't going to show their faces for a while, she could risk leaving them for now.

It didn't take long for her to put her plan into action, she got one of her best spies which was a moonstone. They had the power of invisibility so that would definitely come in handy.

The moonstone walked up to Yellow Diamond before giving the Diamond salute. "What is needed of me, My Diamond?"

"You are to travel to Earth and capture on of the Crystal Gems, I believe it will be too difficult to get close to their leader so I want you to go after someone that is close to the leader, whether it be a human or gem. Is that clear?"

The Moonstone continued the salute and nodded. "Yes, My Diamond, Crystal."

The Moonstone soon after left the presence of Yellow Diamond and made her way to her ship. It was a small ship that could get past any scanners, it was called The Orbital Destruction. 'This will be such an easy mission, I'm sure they don't have many members so staying stealthy will be simple …'

-Back on Earth-

Peridot and Matthew who unfused, have just finished introducing all the gems to the gemlings, and all the gems are in love with the new additions to the family. Each of them congratulated the couple and offered to help whenever they needed it. It was dark so Peridot and Matthew took the gemlings back inside garnet's room to help them sleep easier, they had been asleep almost all day but that is what their little bodies needed right now.

The gemlings had small pieces of cloth around their bodies, it was to keep them warm, but Peridot had to make spares because some of them decided it would be okay to eat …

Peridot let out a large sigh before turning to face Matthew. "Honestly, they are already a handful. I keep on having to make sure that we have enough spare clothes for them because they like to eat them."

Matthew let out a laugh before pulling Peridot into a hug. "I know, I'm sure they get that from you …"

Peridot immediately started pouting. "Hey, maybe they get it off you! You're the one that eats, CLOD."

It went silent for a few moments until both sides burst out laughing. They soon calmed down and went onto discuss what they plan for the future of the gemlings, it doesn't take them long to fully mature compared to human children, but they are a lot more needy and fragile.

-The Next Morning-

Matthew woke up and did his morning routine, Peridot said he could spend the day with Garnet today while she spent the day with Steven and the gemlings. Garnet and Matthew quickly set off on a walk-through Beach City and the surrounding area discussing various things …

As they were walking Garnet put a hand on Matthew's shoulder. "Matthew, I'm extremely happy for you and Peridot. I'm happy that you've allowed me … us, to be the 'Godmother' of your children."

Matthew gave a large warm smile to Garnet. "Honestly Garnet, it's no biggie. You're the one I trust the most and accepted me whole-heartedly. You've helped me so many times since I got here, in fact, it should be me thanking you!"

Garnet let out a small chuckle, she almost wanted to agree with him, but she had some news. "Matthew, I want you to be the 'Godfather' of the gemlings Ruby and Sapphire will have. We won't be having them anytime soon but now we know how to raise and feed them, we wanted to give it a try."

"Garnet, I'd love to!" Matthew said with a huge smile on his face.

The two of them continued to walk and talk through Beach City but unknown to them they were being followed each step on the way.

-Back at the Beach house-

Steven and Peridot mainly focused on feeding and play with the gemlings while getting some conversation in when they could. The other gems were currently working on their own projects or lazing about. Steven took this as his opportunity to ask Peridot if she could scan his gem.

Peridot was a bit confused, why would he want her to scan his gem? "Steven, I don't see why I need to? Is there something wrong with it?"

Steven soon place down the now sleeping heat next to her sisters. "Well, when we went to the temple place, there was this door that I tried opening. It opened but only after scanning my gem and saying I was Pink Diamond … Garnet and Pearl just believed the door was broken but it did it a couple of times, so I need your help."

Peridot thought for a moment, 'could it be possible that he's Pink Diamond? No, of course not. The door must've been damaged.'

"How … interesting. I can but I'll need time to gather the supplies to build such a device. There might be one on the ship however, we can look at that first, but the results may need some time to come through since you are organic."

Steven nodded and was happy that Peridot agreed to help him. "Thanks, Peridot! I owe you one."

The gemlings soon woke up and started crying out once again, high pitch crying and growling could be heard coming from the crib.

Peridot was the first one to walk over. "Steven it looks like they're hungry again, would you come help me feed them?"

"Of course, Peridot, I love holding these little cuties."

Steven fed Data, Stripe and Paint while Peridot fed Dotty, Heat and Jessy. They all ate the rocks fairly fast with no problems, once they were put back in the crib the gemlings decided to explore.

They didn't get far until they all fell fast asleep, apart from Dotty, who, let out a high pitched 'Piiiii'. She wanted more attention from her mother.

Peridot and Steven were taken aback with how cute that sounded, so Peridot put the gemling in her lap and began to tickle her. Peridot managed to find the tickle spot on the gemling which resulted in the gemling letting out high pitched playful cries.

However, it also didn't take long for the gemling to become sleepy and put with the rest. Peridot and Steven continued to talk about the potential threat of Homeworld and other things before Matthew and Garnet came back …
