Ron and Harry still haven't turned up to Dinner. I'm starting to wonder why, it's very rare for them to miss out on treacle tart. Then I thought about the previous lesson. Harry had said that he smelt rose perfume. I don't think I even need to take a guess at who's rose perfume it was. It was mine, I wore it everyday.
Dinner was just about to dissapear when Harry and Ron came in yelling.
"Wait! We need our Treacle Tart!" Ah, there they were.
Once dinner was finished Hermione and I left and headed up to our dorm to complete our homework.
"SO Ginny spill. How do you feel about Harry!"
"Urgh, Mione. Do we really have to talk about this now? I honestly don't know, my heart obviously likes him, but I don't think my head is in the same motive. I mean he's not as bad as he used to be. He's Hot. He's got the Quidditch players body, we both play Quidditch. He's smart, funny, loyal."
"I'm sorry Ginny, but I don't even think you can retort anymore. You just said a whole four sentences about him that were positive. I was sure you would have at least one flaw."
Hermione was really getting on my nerves. Yes, I did like Harry and yes I was finally beginning to admit. There's no need to rub it in.
"Let's just finish this homework and go to bed."
"Fine." Hermione replied.
The next morning I woke up, or much rather came out of my day dream. I hadn't slept a wink all night. I needed to talk to Harry babout 'us'. It was Saturday and we didn't have Quiditch practice so I decided to go downstairs to the common room and wait for him so that we could talk. Being just friends wasn't going to work for much longer. It was far too obvious, we were soulmates and we both knew it.
Ten Minutes later Harry finally came down, his Raven's nest sticking up in all directions. Oh he will be the death of me.
"Harry, we need to talk. Urgently, I mean right now."
"Um, ok." He said, looking at me with a questionable grin. "about what, may I ask?"
"US."
"Is there really anything to discuss? I mean you hate me and I love you, that's not going to change any time soon."
"Well, fine I'm just going to say this straight. Ok, S0... Yesterday when smelling the Amortentia I realised something, it did throw me in the deep end for a little bit but I understand now. That smell that I didn't know what it was. It was your conditioner. You are what attracts me most. You may be a Prat, but I have realised now that you are my prat. Anything I do or say is not going to change the fact that we are soulmates. Now before you say anything, I was thinking maybe we could go to Hogsmeade together next weekend. Not as a couple or anything just I don't know, a little more than friends."
Harry just stared at me gobsmacked. He rubbed the back of his neck like he always did when he was nervous, how I knew this Merlin only knows. When I thought that he was just about to say something he ran up to me and hugged me almost knocking the living daylights out of me.
"Ginny, that's the only thing I have ever wanted to hear you say. Thankyou, and I will definetly go to Hogsmeade with you next weekend."
We hugged for a few minutes then there was a cough from the staircase. It was Ron, way to ruin the moment.
HOGSMEADE, THE NEXT WEEKEND
Today was my first not-official date with Harry and I had to admit that I was pretty excited. We hadn't really talked much since last Saturday when I told him everything, but we agreed to meet in the Entrance hall. I quickly wolfed down my breakfast then headed to the entrance hall to wait for Harry so that we could leave.
A few minutes later he arrived, rugged up in his big Quidditch jumper and Gryffindor scarf. He looked adorable, but don't tell him that.
"So are you ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah." We handed our consent forms to Filch. Such a drag then headed down the path to Hogsmeade. It was actually a pretty pleasent walk, it turned out Harry and I had heaps in common. Especially in Quidditch, we both loved the Holy-head Harpies. We talked about school, homework and teachers until we arrived at the three Broomsticks. We sat down in a booth across from each other. Madam Rosmerta came around, and Harry ordered us both a Butterbeer.
From then on I don't know where the day went. Harry and I talked endlessly and I think we may have flirted with each other quite a bit to. It was 5'o'clock and we were ushered out of the Three Broomsticks and started to head up to the castle.
"I had a Good day."I told Harry.
"Me too," He replied. After he said that I started to shiver, it was getting cold and I was just in a thin grey cardigan.
"Here." Harry said, offering me his quidditch Jumper.
"But Harry, you'll get cold."
"Just take it, I'll be fine." I didn't object and threw the jumper over myself. It was so warm. Harry then put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. It was a perfect day. I didn't want it to end, who knew hanging out with Harry was this fun.
