29. The Coming Storm

Once again, I only get one review for my last chapter. Well, I'm still going to keep. Now for those who haven't figured it out, Yzak and the others are working for someone and not Adam or Cinder. They are working for someone else.

The pilot of the Gaia is about to be revealed this chapter and if you all remember that part in Gundam Seed with the inquiry, you'll be seeing something completely different than what was established in the canon.

Chapter 29: The Coming Storm

Situated several miles away from the any of the Kingdoms cities, protected by a massive mountain range and situated just of the south western coast of Anima, JOSH-A is the main headquarters of the Remnant military forces as established by a joint agreement between the four kingdoms after the Great War. Due to the terrain, most of the base's facilities were located deep underground and connected to the surface by a series of road and rail tunnels used to transport supplies, materials and personal to the base from the mainland while an underground city gave those defending the base the comforts of home. Heavily fortified with an assortment of anti-ship, anti-air and anti-mobile suit defenses, only a fool would try to attack the base.

Sadness and sorrow filled the hearts of those on Archangel, Minerva, Kestrel III and Takemikazuchi as the ships made their way into the port. For the military members on the ships, from the bridge crew and the maintance crews who were working on fixing up the captured Buster, Blitz and Duel it was something they were used to seeing but for the students from the academies it was something they had never witnessed before.

The deaths of Tolle and Robert hit the students pretty hard. If they could have turned around and headed back to the island where they lost the Strike they thought they would find the two of them still alive and well, but no matter who many times they tried to urge both Ironwood and Halberton to turn around they were given the same answer over and over again.

For the admiral, Shinn and Stella it was especially hard on the three of them especially the admiral. First his daughter vanished before the school year began and now his son was dead along with his long thought to be dead adoptive daughter. He could understand the feelings of the students, he wanted to go back and look for them but he would be disobeying orders from Sutherland and the rest of the top brass and make the inquiry worse for the ships. Shinn and Stella on the other hand having lost someone close to them were comforted by Cody who could sense the feelings of sadness from the two pilots and understood that they couldn't do anything but hope that Robert was still alive.

As the ships entered the main gate of the base, Sutherland and the rest of the Joint Chiefs watched the monitor. "The Archangel. I never thought it would make it here as well as the other ships." One Colonel Barnsby said as the gate closed.

"You think it was pure luck that the ships made it here in one piece?" another member, Captain Hoffman asked.

"The young Coordinator, Students and Faunus on the ships was the ones who protected them." Sutherland said with disgust.

"Captain Sutherland, don't be so sure of that. Luckily the destruction of the Strike and declaration of its pilot as MIA can be considered a fortunate accident for us. A pity the same couldn't be fall the pilots of the Impulse and Akatsuki." Barnsby added. "Our man's plan to stop the ships may have failed, but I am sure this will help out our own plan in the long run."

"We'll be getting a lot of use out of the five machines we have. I don't want anyone letting it spill that the Strike was piloted by a Coordinator they call the Demon Lord." Sutherland said in agreement. "All of the Strike's combat data will be of good use in developing more advanced mobile suits."

"What have you told Azrael?" Hoffman asked.

"I told him that we'd take the necessary steps to handle the problem. This was all an unfortunate situation and I will personally say that it is my fault the Strike fell out of our possession, but what will happen here will make up for it." Sutherland said, referring to a plan only the top brass knew about. "All of this is for the preservation of our blue and pure world."

As the top brass discussed their plan, a message was sent to the five ships informing all crewmembers and students are to remain on the ship until the hearing which also called for the leaders of each of the teams from the Academies. For some reason he couldn't explain, Ironwood had a very bad feeling about the current situation.

Meanwhile, Dearka was waiting in the medical wing of the Archangel while Yzak and Nicol were taken to the brig an hour ago. The plan went off without a hitch, except for the fact the Blitz was damaged and from what anyone could gather was getting an upgrade to its weapons. As he laid on the bed, he couldn't help but wonder what the gods had in store for him and his comrades.

It was at that moment that Mirallia entered the medical wing and took a seat near the bed. The mere sight of Dearka made the girl jump. "Seems someone is a little jumpy." Dearka said. It was meant to be a joke, but Dearka had no idea about Tolle and his connection to Mirallia.

Mir just stood there and stared at him. "Why are you staring at me like that? I couldn't be more tied up than I already am." Dearka said, showing his tied hands as proof. "But what I want to know is why are you crying like that? I'm kind of surprised that a ship like this would have such a crybaby onboard. You got no business being a soldier if you're that afraid. Or… maybe your good for nothing boyfriend went a died on you or something?"

At that moment, Mirallia tried to bring a knife down on Dearka in her enraged state. "Hey take it easy! Seriously, will you calm down!" Dearka shouted but Mirallia didn't listen and continued to try and attack him until Sai burst in and held her back.

"Mirallia, stop this now!" Sai shouted as the girl struggled against Sai's grip.

"Tolle's gone and he's never coming back, and yet these creeps… what are these scumbags doing here!?" she shouted in a fit of rage, surprising Dearka. He had no idea that what he said actually effected the girl so much that he wanted to apologize but, in the state, she was, he'd probably get killed.

It was at that moment, that the Admiral entered and relieved Mir of her weapon. "Stop this right now!" he shouted. "You think you are the only one who's going through a rough time? My own son is dead and I will never see him again!" Halberton said as he started to cry. "These things happen in war! But you can't let your emotions get the better of you. Is this what Tolle would want you to do?"

Mirallia just looked at the Admiral and did the only thing she could think of, she cried into the Admiral's chest as security personal brought Dearka to the brig where Yzak and Nicol were sitting. "Let me guess, Dearka. You met Mirallia and said something about her boyfriend dying and she tried to kill you cause that's what happened?" Nicol inquired.

"How did you know?" Dearka asked.

"Lucky guess." Nicol answered as Halberton soon arrived.

"Now then. I think it's time the three of you tell me who exactly it is you are working for. My son trusted all of you when you helped us rescue Flay Allster so I want to know what your goal is." Halberton demanded in a calm manner, pulling up a chair towards the three boys' cell.

"Alright, but you may not believe us." Yzak said and began to tell the Admiral everything he wanted to know.

As this was going on, a transport ship docked at a secret dock of a facility on Menagerie as medical personal rushed both Robert and Neo towards the medical ward of the facility as the Gundam's touched down and crews began to resupply and maintain the machines. The pilot of the Gaia was about to remove their helmet when they looked towards Robert and Neo as they were brought to the medical ward. "They will be in good hands." Ghira said as he walked over to the pilot with Kali by his side. "Don't worry, Sienna he will be fine."

Removing her helmet, Sienna Khan, the current high leader of the White Fang smiled at Ghira. "I know that, but I can't help but feel responsible for what has happened. If I had known that…" she began when Heero walked to her.

"No one could have seen this coming. No one can predict the future and if you could, I don't think he'd believe you if you told him that he'd be fighting a friend he thought was dead. All you can do is be there for him when he wakes up." Heero assured.

Sienna smiled at Heero, understanding his words before she left to change out of her pilot suit. At twenty years old, Sienna was the youngest leader of the White Fang and a skilled fighter both in and out of a mobile suit.

She wasn't always the leader of the White Fang. Long before she joined the White Fang, she lived with her parents on a small farm outside the kingdom of Vale. Her father a tiger Faunus was a huntsman who graduated from Beacon and her mother was a human. The moment the two met, it was love at first sight and they later got married and Sienna was the product of that marriage.

For a long time, she lived a peaceful life. But that all changed when Atlas Soldiers who were members of Frozen Talon under the command of Sutherland burned her home to the ground, killed her father and then raped her mother before killing her right in front of her eyes.

She would have been next had it not been for Admiral Halberton and the pilot of the ASW-G-G47 Gundam Vual, back before the Admiral became known as Mobius One. Because of the actions taken by the Admiral, the Frozen Talon members where either killed or captured and evidence gathered from the event proved that Sutherland was a possible sympathizer to the terrorist group.

Despite it all, nothing could replace the fact that Sienna saw her parents killed. It was then decided that she would be sent to Vaul pilots' home and be looked after, an effort that helped her greatly and proved to her that not all humans were like those of Frozen Talon.

It was there that she met the Admiral's son, Robert and the two quickly became close friends. For the first time in her life, she found someone who saw her for who she is not what she was. Heck, the two even taught each other a few things about ranged and melee combat.

Those times ended when she left to join the White Fang to fight for equal rights for her kind and much to her surprise, she had already found a group of people who already supported Faunus equality and some of them were Faunus.

Sadly, those efforts towards a peaceful coexistence were met with resistance from both the kingdoms and Frozen Talon. The resistance was so great, that the former leader of the White Fang even went as far as to ask the Roughnecks for protection during their rally's. But despite all those efforts, it was clear that those in and out of the White Fang wanted faster results and their old leader stepped down and Sienna was chosen as the new leader.

When she first took over the White Fang, she only planned on using violence where violence was necessary but only against the likes of Frozen Talon and their mysterious leader. But all that changed when the White Fangs first violent protest resulted in the deaths of numerous innocent bystanders, among those was the pilot who saved her life. Sadden by the death of the one who saved her life, Sienna vowed to ensure that no more innocent lives would be lost and a peaceful coexistence would be found.

Unfortunately, dust and mobile suit robberies began to rise and it became clear that Sienna was losing the organization. Adam Taurus the leader of the Vale Branch continued to spout his ideas of the Faunus being superior to humans and that the only way to gain the rights that the Faunus wanted was through the use of force and proposed Operation Spitbreak.

The goal of Operation Spitbreak was to attack one of Frozen Talon's primary facilities where they stored all of their stolen equipment ranging from mobile suits and weapons to the new type of drones they were using. Despite the loss of several members during the Breach, Adam was convinced that the plan was the right course of action.

She didn't trust Adam, ever since Blake left the White Fang one of her spies had reported that Adam was working with several humans, one of whom was Roman Torchwick who showed no interest in the goals of the White Fang. As she finished changing into her usual clothing, Illia Amitola one of her spies, a chameleon faunus the same age as Blake and pilot of MBF-P01 Gundam Astray Gold Frame.

Like most Faunus in the White Fang, Illia hated the humans for their constant mistreatment of the Faunus for out the years but this was actually a ruse. In truth, she respected the humans especially those in Gjallarhorn and the Roughnecks. Years ago, her parents worked in one of the dust mines owned by the Schnee Dust and Mobile Suit Company. When the mine they were working in collapsed, the foreman of the mine abandoned the workers still trapped inside the mine, calling them 'filthy stupid animals. In truth, the foreman caused the collapse of the mine on orders from a mysterious benefactor who was later revealed to be a member of Frozen Talon.

Her parents would have died along with the others trapped in the mine had the Roughnecks and Gjallarhorn arrived and freed all the trapped workers before the mine collapsed for good. Her parents were injured but thanks to the human's who rescued them, they survived. As such, she wanted to be a member of either group, to give back to the organizations who helped save her parents. Her ability to change her appearance made her the ideal spy for Sienna, who approached her before she could join Gjallarhorn and asked her to join the White Fang as a spy so she could keep an eye on those like Adam who wanted a war.

At first, Illia denied the request but after being booted out of the training camp by a Gjallarhorn member who was a supporter of Frozen Talon, she took the offer until she could meet with Rustal Elion.

Her mobile suit, the prototype Gundam Astray Gold Frame was one of the five prototypes based on the data of the G-Machines stolen by the White Fang, the Gold Astray like the Red, Blue and Green Frames along with the mass produced Astray featured the same 75mm Igelstellungs, Type 71 beam rifle and Type 70 beam sabers as the others, but is equipped with a 350mm rail bazooka that was meant for the duel. Like the others, it used the same foaming metal and ultracompact energy battery but it was said that Sienna's group was planning on giving the unit phase shift armor.

"What's the word, Illia?" Sienna asked.

"Its just as you feared. Adam is planning massive operation, but the target is unknown. If Adam is as hungry for war as we know, I'd say he would go after the biggest target out there; JOSH-A." Illia reported.

"Adam would never be so stupid as to attack JOSH-A. Its well-fortified." Sienna said.

"True, but if Adam is willing to throw lives away that's the target he would be attacking. I only hope he's not stupid enough to do so." Illia added.

"If Adam does attack the base, it will result in massive casualties. I've told him countless times that attacking the kingdoms and the military will only result in starting a war that won't end until one side is completely destroyed. When will people see that all of us, Human's, Faunus, Coordinators and Newtype's share a common enemy in the Grimm and Dark Army." Sienna said with a sigh after finally changing out of her pilots' uniform. "We still know nothing about the humans he is working with other than the fact he was associated with Roman Torchwick, who somehow was able to supply Adam with numerous weapons and mobile suits. Someone is clearly using Adam to further their own goals and he doesn't even realize it." She added.

"I can only hope that Adam makes the right choice. Just like Blake and her parents did." Illia said in agreement.

Sienna agreed. Just then her scroll beeped and upon answering her device found that Corsac and Fennec Albain, the White Fang representatives on the island had a message for her from Adam regarding his proposed plan. "Speak of the devil." She said to herself and went to see what Adam wanted. She reached her quarters and contacted Adam. "What is it, Adam?" she asked as the face of Adam Taurus appeared on her monitor.

"High Leader Khan, I am reporting that all the personal and equipment needed for the operation have been assembled and are waiting for the moment to strike." Adam began, not noticing Sienna's raised eyebrows. "This victory will prove to the human's that we will no longer be pushed around and wait to be slaughtered, we will fight and prove to them that we are the rightly dominate species of the planet and anyone who stands in our way will be destroyed."

"Just make sure you remember who the enemy is, Adam. Frozen Talon is our enemy, not the kingdoms, academies or the military. They are the ones who want to wipe our entire species out. While many of the kingdoms treat our kind with the respect, we deserve there are only a small number of those in the kingdoms who see us as animals." Sienna reminded him.

"You speak like our old leader spouting his weak ideals." Adam said under his breath but Sienna heard him. "I can assure you high leader, our attack will show those who have constantly attacked us that we are a force to be reckoned with. No one can stop us." Adam finished before his face vanished from the monitor.

"Hatred for our kind is only spreading because of your actions. I may have said that violence is necessary, but only when it is needed and against Frozen Talon and the Dark Army. There are some lines that no one should cross." She said to herself. She then looked at her scroll, checking the message she sent to three of her allies. "Seems they have accomplished their objective. Now, to see what fate has in store for them." She said to herself.

The following day at JOSH-A, Murrue, Natarle, Ironwood, Rommel, Talia, Mu, Halberton, Todaka, Goodman and Synapse along with Ruby, Jaune, Sun, Cardin, Coco, Shinn and Hanzo waited in one of the conference rooms of the base waiting for the inquiry to begin. The wait so came to an end when Sutherland, Hoffman and Munroe entered the room.

"I'm Captain William Sutherland of the General Staff. I've been put in charge of all instructions and deliberations regarding the events that have transpired in Vale over the last several months." He began before taking his seat along. "We've already retrieved the logs from the Navcomm and are analyzing it now. I must say Ironwood, these ships have quite the impressive combat records. And now I would like you all to give us a detailed report and testimony on the preceding events. This hearing is being run according to military regulations of a court-martial and in keeping with procedure, will be entered into the records. I trust you will all tell the truth." He finished.

The inquiry began with Murrue's report on the theft of the G-Weapons and attempted destruction of the G-Weapons from Atlas, the sudden appearance of the Strike in Vale and her actions involving the destruction of the mobile armor in Vacuo. "So, at this point, you had no idea that this young man was a coordinator?" Sutherland asked.

"No one, other than the Admiral knew about him being a Coordinator. Despite that, it didn't change the fact that he single handedly took down an Arsenal Bird sent by Frozen Talon to stop us from destroying the mobile armor and destroyed said mobile armor." Murrue stated.

"Were you aware of the fact that the Dark Army units sent into the city went after the Strike, resulting in the destruction of a single tramper and damage to several area's in the city. Did you not consider that perhaps the Coordinator was using the machine he stole and used the Dark Army to test Vale's defenses?" Sutherland asked with a grin.

"He had no knowledge of the Dark Army until they destroyed the ship. As for him stealing the Strike, he wasn't present in Atlas when the G-Weapons were stolen." Murrue answered calmly, trying to keep her emotions in check.

"Perhaps, but I'm sure that many of you are unaware that the Coordinator was a close personal acquaintance of the former high leader of the White Fang, Ghira Belladonna, whom Admiral Halberton knows quite well." Sutherland said, looking towards said Admiral.

"Ghira and I have the same belief. A belief that one day both Human's and Faunus, regardless if they are Coordinators of Newtypes can live together peacefully!" Halberton snapped as he stood up. "If anyone should be questioned it should be you, Sutherland! You claim to be a spy working for the kingdom's against Frozen Talon as according to the Seiran's. But let us not forget that your men where the ones on security detail for the G-Weapons and Archangel before you called them back, allowing the machines to be stolen and the ship to be damaged!"

Sutherland was about to speak when Halberton continued. "Furthermore, 'the Coordinator' as you call him has a name. Robert Halberton, my son. He was a good person and fought for the kingdoms regardless of what they may think of Coordinators. And let us not forget that years ago, some of your men murdered and raped Sienna Khan's parents along with the girl herself. Who is to say that you are not actually a member of Frozen Talon, the same people who murdered George Allster, kidnapped his daughter along with other children who were experimented on to become soldiers who's only purpose to destroy and raped both Flay Allster and Stella Loussier!" Halberton added.

"I deeply regret those actions, but I had to do those things in order to keep my cover as a member of Frozen Talon." Sutherland answered calmly before Halberton took his seat. "Now then, shall we continue?"

The inquiry then proceeded without any other 'disturbances', but it soon became clear to Colonel Detroit Adams, the only member of the general staff who held no bias towards Faunus, Coordinators or Newtypes that the whole inquiry was a joke. It seemed that they were blaming everything on the ship's captains, Halberton, Ironwood and especially Robert. Having met and assisted in training the kid in mobile suit piloting and combat, he knew already that the boy was a Coordinator but kept it a secret, as well as the relationship between him and Sienna Khan. 'Something isn't right' the colonel thought to himself before Sutherland started to ask Ironwood some questions.

When Sutherland came to Captains Rommel and Synapse, he chewed them out for their failure in their effort to reclaim the stolen Gundam Unit 2 that was stolen from Anaheim Electronics when Jaune was testing the Narrative Gundam. The Vale council assigned the Albion to search for the location of where the stolen Gundam was being kept, but every time they found a lead they would arrive late and the Gundam was nowhere to be found. Sutherland was quick to suggest that Rommel might have slipped details about their mission to some to the party that stole the machine, believing that it was the White Fang that stole the machine in hopes of restoring the bazooka to launch nuclear weapons, which the White Fang was rumored to be developing.

Coco, Cardin, Sun and Jaune were the next to be chewed out for their own reasons. Again, Sutherland pinned the blame for their failure in being able to prevent both the White Fang and Dark Army attacks on Vale before they could attack on fact that they were associated with both Faunus and Coordinators. Coco gritted her teeth when Sutherland had the audacity to call Velvet a 'stupid bunny who shouldn't be given access to a Gundam'. Cardin was accused of being just like his father, a sympathizer to Frozen Talon, Jaune not being trustworthy for being a Newtype and Sun for being… well Sun.

Talia wasn't also sparred from any criticism either. Since her crew was made up of Coordinators, which somehow was made known to the officers and who pilot capture White Fang mobile suits, it was assumed that their capture machines had tracking devices planted in their systems, allowing the White Fang to ambush the Minerva during its escort missions of several convoys carrying equipment need for the militaries. In truth, Talia had the Zaku's and GINN checked numerous times for such devices and found nothing of the sort, she even ordered the systems of the mobile suits to be checked as well. But no matter how hard she tried to explain herself, the men in charge of the inquiry still held the belief that they secretly assisted the White Fang in stealing the contents of the convoy's which were scavenged parts from numerous Strike Daggers.

"Now then, James. When you were approached by the Coordinator pilots of the newly captured Buster, Blitz and Duel, why didn't you immediately capture them right away? Seeing as the G-Weapons were stolen from your kingdom, I'm sure you would have been given a medal for your actions." Sutherland asked.

"First off, it was already determined that Admiral Halberton's son was to be given the Strike based on his abilities. Secondly, they offered to help us save Miss Allster from the hands of Frozen Talon and we needed the firepower. Their efforts greatly assisted us in not only rescuing the girl, but also discover Frozen Talon's hidden laboratory and learn of their new mobile armor. Their offer proved to me that they are people we can trust, the same goes for the pilots of the fully upgraded Deathsycthe, Sandrock, Heavyarms and Altron as well as the Gaia Gundam's." Ironwood stated.

Sutherland said nothing before turning his attention to Ruby. "Miss Rose, we are well aware that you are the leader of Team RWBY and the youngest student to be enrolled in beacon at the age of fifteen. Tell me, aside from Ozpin's decision to accept you early then most students, did you have any suspicions about the Strike or its pilot?" Sutherland asked.

"No. I trusted Robert completely. During inanition, he led the dark army units away from us so we could get back to the cliff where he launched from. I could see that he was a good person and someone I could call a friend." Ruby answered.

"How foolish. You are aware that your so called 'friend' was indeed an acquaintance of Sienna Khan and also a Coordinator which he kept secret from all of you. If he kept all these things from you, does it not mean that he is hiding something that he does not want to share?" Sutherland asked.

"What does that have to with any of that?" Shinn snapped getting the attention of Sutherland and the others. "Robert may have been a Coordinator, but he saved the lives of many people in Vale and Vacuo, my family included. He is and always will be a great pilot and my brother, he's put his life on the line time and time again for the people and wiped out three of Frozen Talon's elite mobile suit teams!" he shouted.

"Shinn, enough." Talia said to the Impulse pilot and pulled him back to his seat. They didn't notice Sutherlands smile at Shinn's outburst before they continued with the inquiry. Once again, Sutherland pinned the blame on Robert for the theft of the Chaos, Raider, Forbidden and Calamity from Cardin and his team, the theft of Unit 2 which he was not present for and the attacks on Vale, all because he was a Coordinator and in the possession of the Soul Drive which according to Sutherland was more important than the Strike for its sheer power.

The inquiry continued for another hour before it was finally concluded. "This concludes our hearing. Thank you all for your patience in answering our questions. We'll be in touch regarding the ships next assignments. Except for Commander La Flaga, Lieutenant Badgiruel and Captain Goodman. "Orders are to have the three of you transferred. Report to the personal office at 0800 sharp in three days." Sutherland stated before getting up and leaving the room and a very angry group of people. It was an order and the three soldiers had no choice but to follow said orders. They didn't know that Sutherland and the other officers had something deadly waiting for them.

Back in Menagerie, a thunderstorm started to pour down on the island as engineers and weapons specialists worked fast to finish the completion of two new Gundam's armed with the latest weaponry and power source the White Fang had developed. At the head of the project were the five scientists who rebuilt the fully upgraded Gundam's and built the Wing Zero. Prior to current events, the five scientists conducted research on recreating the only known alloy said to be stronger than anything ever produced. The alloy came from several meteors that crashed on Remnant during many meteor showers over the years.

The original purpose of recreating this alloy was meant for peace but that soon changed when it was discovered that the alloy could be used in the creation of mobile suits. Due to the expense of creating a mobile suit with the alloy, which became known as Gundanium only a few mobile suits were constructed from this alloy, the five original Gundam's which were used late in the Great War before they began making appearances all across the Kingdoms, attacking the Dark Army.

However, this soon caught the attention of Frozen Talon who wanted a mobile suit company that would wipe out all their enemies. As such, Doctor J and the other scientists destroyed everything about their research they could to prevent the terrorist group from trying to construct such machines, seeing as they were created in a specialized lab using gravity dust to simulate a zero-gravity environment.

On the run from Frozen Talon, the scientists asked a young Ironwood to assist them in their 'disappearance' and to ensure that the Epyon, Vayeate and Mercurius were locked away to prevent them from being used by those who wished to commit mass murder. As for the six Gundam's, they were taken with the scientists in hopes that they would return one day and help bring an end to Frozen Talon's goals.

They found the right pilots. Duo, Heero, Quatre, Trowa and Wufei who after much training became the pilots of these five machines while Wing Zero remained untouched. That changed as Dark Army and Frozen Talon attacks increased while the White Fang was split into two factions, one that demanded total war against humanity and one that continued to uphold the ideals of the former High-Leader, Ghira Belladonna.

While they were experts in Gundanium and mobile suit systems/development, they were also experts in energy as well and created a new type of power source for the new mobile suits that Sienna approved for construction. Both mobile suits had the same features as the Strike and Aegis in terms of their transformation abilities, but their armaments were different from the original.

"Make sure the reactor is placed correctly, if its even out of place by a few inches these mobile suits won't be able to bring an end to this conflict before it can even begin." Doctor J instructed several of the workers helping to build these machines. "We must have them ready as soon as possible."

"Doctor. What about the extra features for the beam rifles? Are we to continue with those as well?" One of the workers asked.

"Of course! The pilots will need every advantage they can get when they go into battle. It's the only way for them to be on the same level as Heero and the rest of the Gundam pilots." The doctor said to the worker. The worker nodded and relayed the instructions to the others who did as they were told.

While the work on these two mobile suits continued, the rain and thunder continued to rage as Robert started to wake up. When he did, he awoke to find Kali about to apply a wet cloth to his head. "Oh my, I hope I didn't wake you." She said.

"Miss Belladonna?" Robert asked in confusion trying to get up only for Kali to gently push him back down to bed.

"Don't try and move. You are still injured from your battle with Neo. Don't worry, she's safe." Kali assured him.

"I see our sleeper has awoken." a black-haired man said as they walked into the room. From what Robert could tell by the man's appearance, the man was blind as evidenced by the walking stick, he carried and his clothing indicated he was a man of the cloth.

"It appears he has, Reverend Malchio." Kali answered to said man.

"You must be surprised to fine yourself here. You were certainly lucky to have survived your close call. The same with your friend. She is alive and well, in fact she's already here." the now named Reverend Malchio said.

True to his words, Neo was behind him and like the pilot of the Strike had bandages wrapped around several areas of her body but alright nonetheless. Following her was Andrew Waltfeld, Aisha, Heero, Ghira and to Robert's surprise, Sienna herself who immediately walked over to Robert and embraced him. "I almost thought you weren't going to survive." Sienna said, barely being able to hold back the tears flowing from her eyes.

"Sienna? What are you doing here? Where am I?" he asked.

"A secret facility only those loyal to the true beliefs of the White Fang know about." She answered before letting go of him.

"Hey there, youngster. Its been a while since we last saw each other." The Desert Tiger said with a smile, holding a cup of coffee as usual. Taking a sip from his beverage, the leader of the Flying Tigers along with Neo pulled up a chair. "I can safely say that you're still trying to wrap your head around why you're here and not six feet under, am I right?"

"Yes, but why is it that I am still alive?" Robert asked.

"It's because you possess the SEED, that's why. The same as your friend here." Malchio answered.

Clutching the blanket, Robert started to slowly get up out of the bed only to be stopped by Ghira. "You are still injured my friend. You've already been through a lot the last few days. Even the Demon Lord needs some time to rest." Ghira assured the young boy.

At the mention of his title as the Demon Lord, Robert felt a great pain in his chest. "Tolle…" he said softly before Neo looked to him.

"I'm so sorry." She began. "I thought you killed Nicol…. I was so angry that I just…" she began before starting to cry. "I'm so sorry." She sobbed, hugging Robert just like Sienna did. "I should have seen that I was being lied to, but I didn't. I fought you and your teammates several times, I almost killed you before I learned the truth and you were willing to die for me. Why? Why did you try to sacrifice yourself for me after all I've done?"

"Despite knowing that you were my enemy, I still saw you as family. Family is more important to me than anything in the world. You, Shinn, Stella, Sienna and my sister, they mean more to me than anything. I only wanted to protect what I hold dear to my heart." Robert answered. He then returned the embrace that Neo gave him. "I'm so sorry."

"There's nothing wrong with acting on your emotions. The best way to live is by one's emotions. That's what I believe and how I've lived all my life." Heero answered, albeit a little emotionless. "Its up to you to follow your emotions the way you want and make the choices you want to make." He added.

Robert understood but at the same time he felt like there was more to what Heero was telling him. His thoughts were broken when Sienna spoke. "The ships you were traveling with have already arrived at JOSH-A, so you don't need to worry about them. Until you figure out what you want to do, you're more than welcome to stay here." Sienna said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Its now my turn to help you, like you helped me so long ago." she added.

A couple of hours past and the storm continued to rage all around the island, making it hard for Robert to get some rest and he needed to use the bathroom. Though he was still injured, he managed to take care of his personal business and was about to return to bed when he caught the smell of cookies. Following his nose, Robert found the source.

Apparently, the pilot of the Winged Gundam had made a batch of cookies and was letting them cool when he smelled them. The aroma of the freshly baked cookies was still in the air, but he opted for a piece of fruit. "And here I thought that you'd want a cookie." The pilot said startling Robert. "Come on, don't give me that look. I know I look a lot like Ruby."

"Ruby? How do you know about her?" Robert asked. He kept his gaze on the pilot. The pilot was a woman in her mid to late thirties with pale white skin, black and red hair and silver eyes. By all appearances she looked to be an older version of Ruby.

"You talk in your sleep. You kept saying 'Ruby watch where you swing Crescent Rose. You'll take my head off'. That's how I know." The women said with a laugh. "I bet her weapon is too big for her?"

"No, it suits her." Robert answered. Somehow, he had a feeling that this person knew more about Ruby then she was letting on, but at the moment he was focused on getting some rest.

Back at JOSH-A, the mood onboard the Archangel, Minerva, Kestrel III, Albion and Takemikazuchi wasn't getting any better. Every time the captains of each vessel asked about their orders, they kept getting the same answer as before 'talk to Captain Sutherland' the one who gave the ships their orders assigning them to the JOSH-A defense forces which were sending most of their forces out to the other kingdoms and on other assignments. They were also not aloud to leave the base in order to return the students to Beacon.

JOSH-A had close to two full battalions from each of the kingdom's militaries, three full fighter squadrons, three tank battalions and two task forces of naval and airships. Usually, they had twice the size of the units, but with most of the units being reassigned to convoy escort duty and other missions, the defenses were severely weekend. Aside from these units, they had only four companies of mobile suits from Anima, two from Solitas and three from Sanus, whereas usually there were double the size of the companies much like the other units.

In terms of mobile suits, the defense forces had only Leo's, Aries, Tragos, Virgo's and Taurus mobile suits from Anima. Windam's, Daggers, Dagger L's, Airmasters and Astray's from Atlas. The forces from Vale had only a handful of GMs, Jegan's, Delta Plus, Zeta Plus and Astray's. Most of the GM's along with the Jegan's and Plus mobile suits were undergoing repairs while they had both the normal Astray, Eagle, Hornet and Falcon versions of the Astray.

The fighters protecting the base consisted of numerous older Spearheads, numerous VTOL's, a few dozen Sky Graspers and only four Veritechs while the ground forces had linear artillery, linear tanks, missile trucks and other vehicles that couldn't compete against mobile suits. As for ships, they had only about half a dozen cruisers, dozens of frigates, six battleships and numerous carriers, escort ships. All of which were understaffed due to numerous transfer orders. If someone was about to attack the base, they would overrun the defenders in no time.

While the crews of the ships continued to become more and more annoyed with the lack of information about their orders, the students from the schools decided to keep up with their training and studies. Thought this proved to be a bit difficult for them since they lost a close friend. Still, they tried their best to keep their spirits up.

Pilots like Shinn and Stella while still feeling a great wave of sadness over the loss of their brother but made a promise to each other that they would keep on living for Roberts sake, as it was what he would want them to do.

What no one knew was that deep beneath the base, a terrible trap was being laid while just outside the base's defenders several recon GINN's were recording the actions transpiring and sent the data back to their forces which were waiting to attack.

That night, Mu met with Natarle and discussed the whole situation. "Are you sure about this Commander? We'll be going AWOL if we do as you suggest." Natarle objected.

"AWOL or not, you really don't plan to follow the orders given to us by Sutherland? You and I both took a look at the transfer orders. Why would they be sending us to bases in Vacuo that no one's even heard about to train new recruits when we're a part of the Archangel's crew and skilled pilots?" Mu reminded.

Natarle knew he was right. Like Murrue, she was also a capable mobile suit pilot when she needed to enter combat and was already a three-time ace in an Astray Hornet. To be sent to a base as an instructor of all things seemed to be a little suspicious, especially considering that the bases they were being sent didn't come up in any of their searches. The only transfer that made sense was Goodman's who was being assigned as a captain to a carrier task force. "When I joined the military, I made a personal goal to follow any and all orders given to me by a superior officer. Sutherland lost his rights as a superior officer when he betrayed the kingdoms for Frozen Talon. Being told that he's a spy, by the Seiran's no less who seemed to be the only ones who knew about this doesn't add up. Not to mention the way they acted towards some of the students and blaming the captain, admiral and general. Something is clearly wrong." She said determinedly.

"The only one we can trust is Colonel Adams. He may be part of the top brass, but at least he doesn't see the lives of those killed as figures on paper." Mu added. Natarle agreed and the two started to discuss their plan.

The days went by quickly and before long, Mu and Natarle along with all the other personal that were given transfer orders were waiting at one of the submarine pens waiting to board their transport for their destination. Out of the corner of their eyes, they watched the admiral look around the pen for Cody who had managed to sneak out during the night. They took this chance and decided to head for the bathroom as part of their 'plan'.

"You two know you can take a leisurely shit in a toilet on the sub, right?"

"Sorry, but this can't wait." Mu said, doing his best to make it look like he had to go badly. Natarle did the same thing, but not in the way that Mu did. Even if it was an act, she had standards.

Onboard one of the subs, Sutherland, Hoffman, Goodman and Barnsby checked the time. "Everything is proceeding as planned. Another three vessels and we'll be all set." Goodman said with grin.

"My only regret is that we can't bring the Veritechs stationed here. Those machines would certainly boost our forces air power, but it is for the best that they are left behind." Hoffman stated.

"We wouldn't need such machines. They were created by the help of a Coordinator and his mobile suits 'special feature'. After all, we have both the five Gundam's and the support of the Epyon's pilot. Not to mention our own 'special forces'." Sutherland reminded them.

"Lets just make sure we don't regret this decision." Barnsby added as their submarine departed the base in secret.

As the submarine silently slipped away from the base, high above the sky dozens of Laurasia-Class and Nazca-Class airships flew-high overhead at ten-thousand feet while dozens of Vosgulov-Class submarines belonging to the White Fang approached the base while the pilots of their CGUE's, GINN's, DINN's, BuCUE's, ZnO's, GuAIZ's, ZuOOT's, Zaku's and GOUF's, along with the new BABI's, GAZuOOT's and ASH's climbed into their cockpits along with the pilots of the White Fang Spearheads.

Inside the cockpit of his CGUE, Adam Taurus addressed his brothers and sisters. "My fellow Faunus, the time has come to show the humans that their time is over. As we embark on this latest operation it is my strongest wish that this ignite the spark of revolution to all of our brothers and sisters across the kingdoms. Inspiring the hope in all of us that will lead to what we Faunus have fought for so long. Let operation Spitbreak now commence!" the masked Faunus said to all his followers who once upon learning that their target was JOSH-A, were more than determined to show the humans and traitors what they were made of.

The submarines quickly raised to the surface, launching their non-aquatic mobile suits and fighters into the air while their underwater mobile suits were launched as well. Following that was missile barrage from the subs while the airships released their drop pods containing more of their mobile suit forces down to the ground below.

Down on the ground, one of the radar stations soon picked up hundreds of contacts before a GINN destroyed the station, but not before the operator sounded the alarm. The manned and automated defenses soon came online and started to open up on the enemy machines, taking out several of them but more just kept coming.

"Captain Sutherland! What's going on?" Murrue asked as she heard the alarms.

"All defense forces are to scramble and commence interception at once! They tricked us! At the last second they changed their target to JOSH-A!" Sutherland stated in a tone that appeared to be filled with anger. "Defend the base at all costs! Send out the students!" he added before the comm line ended.

Despite knowing that fighting under the current conditions was suicide, Murrue knew that if they lost headquarters it would be a disaster, especially without the Admiral, Commander, Ensign and Robert. But to send out the students to fight? Did Sutherland not care about the lives of the students and see them as expendable? Either way, she deployed all three teams on the Archangel to intercept the enemy forces. The Minerva, Takemikazuchi, Kestrel III and Albion did the same, but sent each team to different locations. She then sent an order to the soldiers she had guarding the three pilots in the brig given to her by the Admiral.

As the battle for JOSH-A began, news of the attack reached Menagerie and needless to say, Sienna wasn't to pleased with Adam's deception. He had lied to her about the true target of Spitbreak and now it became clear that Adam was trying to start a war with the kingdoms, a war that no one would win. She wasn't the only one who was affected by this revelation, the moment Robert heard about the attack he trembled in fear about the safety of his family and friends.

When he finally calmed down, he made his choice. "I have to go." He said bluntly getting a surprised look from Sienna, Ghira, Kali and Illia. "Sienna, Ghira. I appreciate all that you have done for me and Neo, but I have to go back. My friends and family need me. I may be the demon lord, but I am also a huntsman and Gundam pilot. I can't just abandon my duties." He explained. "I can't just sit back and let my friends do all the fighting. I'm a warrior at heart and to abandon my duties as a huntsman would mean going back on the promise, I made all those years ago. I won't do that."

Both the former and current leader of the White Fang understood what he said. Despite the fact they were trying to get him back to Vale, they admired his determination to protect those he cared about. "Then it appears that its time for you to leave. I've greatly enjoyed your company. Good luck out there." Ghira said to the boy.

"I'm going too!" Neo shouted. "I realize that no one will trust me after what I've done and I killed a close friend of yours, but I am not that person. I was lied to and manipulated by someone I thought I could trust and tried to kill you. I have to make things right, you need me." She explained.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Robert answered before he mentioned that they were going to need mobile suits. Luckily for them, Sienna was one step ahead of them and once they were given new pilot uniforms. (A/N the ones worn by Kira and Athrun) they reached the hanger where Wing-Zero and the other Gundam's were along with two new machines. Once the lights came on, both Robert and Neo realized that they were equipped with Phase Shift armor as they were currently dull grey. "Are those, Gundam's?" he asked.

"Yes. More specifically they are the ZGMF-X10A Freedom and ZGMF-X09A Gundam's. I guess you can say that the theft of the G-Weapons was a blessing in disguise." Sienna answered. "Using the data we acquired from the machines, we constructed these two machines using the latest technology available. Both share similarities to the Strike and Aegis in terms of being transformable mobile suits, the gun pods, two cannons for fighter mode and other features, but they are both just as powerful as Wing-Zero since they are powered by hybrid dust/nuclear reactor." She added.

"Dust and nuclear technology?" Neo asked in surprise. She heard rumors about something like this, but never thought it was possible. "Then that means we can't let them fall into the wrong hands." she added.

"Precisely." Sienna answered. She then turned towards the Gundam's. "Heero and his allies will assist you. Its time they stop hiding in the shadows and make their presence known to the entire world." She added before handing Robert something. "So you'll know I will always be with you both in and out of battle." Robert looked at the item and saw that it was a picture of him, Sienna, his father and sister many years ago.

"Thank you, Sienna. Take care of yourself and thank you for everything." Robert said before he and Neo found themselves in the cockpits of the Freedom and Justice. Both of them were impressed by the power both machines had before they were ready for takeoff.

"I almost forget to mention. Both the Freedom and Justice have a 'special feature' and the Freedom can use the Soul Drive. The same thing applies to the G-Weapons with the 'special feature'. Before you ask, that feature is for handling bigger and more nasty mobile suits." Sienna said over the radio.

"I'll be sure to remember that." Robert assured.

"Quit talking and let's go already! We've got to get to JOSH-A before that bastard Adam screws the pooch on all of us!" Duo shouted over the radio as he followed after the recently launched Heavyarms, Sandrock and Altron. Heero and the pilot of the Winged Gundam followed suit before it was time for the Justice and Freedom to launch.

"Ladies first." Robert said to Neo who accepted.

"Neapolitan, Justice is launching!" she said before her machine was launched into the air which she then transformed into a twin-engine, twin-tailed multi-role fighter similar to Colonel Smirnov's Veritech. Robert soon followed suit.

"Robert Halberton, Freedom heading out!" he shouted and followed after the other machines as his machine changed into a twin-engine, twin-tailed fighter just like the Super Tomcat. 'Hang on everyone, we're coming.' He thought to himself as the eight Gundam's headed towards JOSH-A at top speed.

Back at said base, things weren't going well for the defenders. The White Fang outnumbered them more than twenty to one and were getting hit hard. Teams RWBY and CRDL were sent to assist the 8th MS Team and 7th Panzer division which were trying to push the enemy forces back from reaching the airfield where numerous aircraft had yet to take off. Those that weren't able to take off were easy targets for the enemy mobile suits and fighters which strafed not only the fighters but the crews as well.

Teams JNPR and SSSN were engaging the enemy mobile suits attacking the port with Ironwood while Team CFVY and the remaining members of Team RATH remained behind to protect the ships with the Galm Team, Wardog Squadron, Red Squadron and Colonel Adams.

Being the only member of the top brass to stay behind and fight with the defenders, Colonel Adams launched one of the missiles from his Lighting II which slammed into an enemy Spearhead before configuring into mobile suit mode, drew one of his beam sabers and slashed apart a DINN with a horizontal slash across the cockpit before firing his gun pod at GUUL mounted GINN which exploded after several hits.

Raising his beam saber to parry a strike from a GINN's sword, Adam's quickly thrusted his blade into the cockpit of the machine destroying it before his Vulcans roared to life and downed a swarm of missiles fired by a pair of DINN's.

The DINN's were then taken out by the beam cannon from Katie's Sky Grasper before the blonde-haired Coordinator pilot dived after a pair of Spearheads which were going after the survivors of a sunken cruiser. The enemy planes strafed the crewmen in the water, killing numerous men and women who couldn't fight back. The people who were killed were quickly avenged when the enemy planes were shot down by a pair of missiles from Katie's plane. "Bastards! Attacking the survivors of a sunken vessel." Katie said with anger in his voice at the carnage.

Katie soon rejoined Luke, Gale and the rest of Red Squadron who then formed up with Wardog Squadron and the Galm team in going after a formation of BABI's which were about to commit the same act as the Spearhead pilots did on the survivors of one of the sunken frigates. This time, the pilots were quick enough and downed the BABI's before they could even get within range of the crewmen in the water.

"You think command is sending reinforcements to assist us?" Chopper asked as he configured to mobile suit mode and brought both his beam sabers down on a GOOH before configuring to guardian mode and skidded above the water before some of the damaged ships broke through the White Fang lines and attempted to leave the battlefield.

"They better be, we can't hold this base without any back up, Captain." Grim reminded him just as the damaged ships were soon sunk by unseen enemies. "Was that the White Fang?"

"Doubt it, those attacks came from the front not behind. Someone doesn't want any survivors leaving the base." Bartlett replied, firing off bursts of rounds from his gun pod and destroying a few mobile suits. As he did, more damaged ships were soon sunk. "Galm team, someone's taking out retreating ships. Find out who's doing it and take them down!" He ordered.

"Galm 1 copy." Cipher responded and soon both he and Pixy headed away from the base to find the attackers with Colonel Adam's following them to provide back up.

Other pilots weren't so lucky. A Leo from Anima slashed apart a GINN before it was destroyed by several GINN's. An Aries squadron was destroyed by a squadron of CGUE's while a formation of BuCUE's tore through dozens of GM's, Tragos, Jeagan's, Astray's and Daggers with their beam sabers.

Despite having mobile suits of their own, the defenders were being overwhelmed by the sheer number of the White Fang forces. However, the students from the academies were making their own stand.

Yang unleashed a series of punches and kicks on several enemy machines destroying their heads and weapons forcing the pilots to retreat back to the ships, saving the crew of pair of damaged tanks who were quick to retreat. GN Vulcan rounds, beam rounds and bullets from the machines of the two teams and military units were quick to push the enemy forces back and allow more allied fighters and mobile suits to get in the air and assist in defending the base. "I'm no soldier, no of us are! So why in the hell are they having us fight their battle for them?" Yang asked

"There undermanned, you know that Yang! They sent numerous forces away from the base to deal with other areas and its our job as huntresses to defend the people!" Weiss reminded Yang before throwing one of her GN Daggers towards a ZAKU's beam assault rifle, destroying it and forcing the mobile suit to retreat.

Throwing stars from the Shadow MK II forced a pair of CGUE's to look for the target before they lost their arms to the Shadow's arm blades while the Deathscythe MK2 slashed their legs. It was then that Ruby noticed the cockpit of the machine she took out was removed. "Hey! These are mobile dolls, take them out!" she shouted and swung her beam scythe at the machines, destroying them.

"Finally! I was getting sick of holding back!" Yang stated and drew her beam saber and destroyed a few of the other mobile dolls. Data from Shiro and Rommel was sent to all the teams so each piloted and unmanned mobile suit was identified on their sensors.

Bursts of 100mm rifle fire from the Ground Type MK2s of team CRDL destroyed dozens of unmanned machines. "I really hate these machines! Mobile suits are meant to be piloted by people, not machines that can be hacked and turned against us!" Cardin snarled before reloading his weapon. His teammates agreed with him.

Nora, once she heard that about the mobile dolls, couldn't contain herself and started to swing her mace at the mobile dolls, destroying the machines. The others started to turn their focus on the mobile dolls while leaving the manned units for Ironwood and the others to deal with.

Beam and buster rifle rounds from the machines of Team SSSN damaged several enemy GINN's, forcing them to return to the ships they were launched from while Sun just started to bash the unmanned units with his nun-chucks. "These things may be top of the line, but they are still a real pain in the neck." The monkey Faunus stated. "Still, they make for easy targets." He added. The rest of his teammates rolled their eyes, but had to agree with him on that statement.

Back with the ships, a formation of BABI's, DINN's and Spearheads streaked towards the ships as the Raptor, Saviour, Impulse, Zephyranthes, Dendrobium Stamen along with the suits of Team's RATH and CVFY opened up with their weapons taking out numerous enemy machines, but more of them just kept coming.

"I don't think I like all this attention we're getting. These guys are all over us like ants at a picnic." Tammy stated, firing her beam rifle and taking out a few DINN's while Arthur opened up with his Vulcans, destroying a swarm of enemy missiles.

"I agree, either they concentrated all their forces in this attack or they think they can take us all out with their sheer numbers." Coco said in agreement. She then launched all of her missiles towards the enemy forces destroying dozens of machines while Velvet fired her beam rifle at several of the mobile doll units. Yatushashi and Fox followed suit with their own ranged weapons but by now calls were coming from all over the base that they were being overrun by the enemy units.

"Bastards!" Shinn shouted as he watched one of the carriers sink beneath the waves before something inside him shattered. Streaking towards a formation of GINN's, Shinn opened up with his beam rifle taking out several machines before he swung his beam saber through one of the GINN's. "THIS IS FOR MY BROTHER!" he shouted and tore through more of the enemy machines. Stella followed suit, but kept close to the ships firing her beam rifle at anything that came in her path.

"Shinn, you're to far out! Robert wouldn't want you to die!" Stella shouted. Shinn heard her and did return to the ship before he got any farther from the ships. He knew his brother would be rolling over in his grave if he ended up dying and his family wouldn't like it either. He then spotted a group of enemy machines heading towards the Archangel as was about to intercept when a burst of weapons fire from the ship destroyed the incoming mobile suits.

To the surprise of Shinn, the source of the fire was the Buster, Duel and Blitz which were broadcasting the IFF used by the Roughnecks. Shinn was tempted to ask about why these three were fighting alongside them, but Murrue assured him the answers would come at a later date. Deep inside, Shinn knew he could trust them so he did just that.

That's when things took a turn for the worse. The White Fang soon started to shift their focus on the teams from the schools and it wasn't long before their ammo was almost depleted. Barbatos took several heavy hits, resulting in one of its arms off while the Narrative and Dynamas lost their rifles.

The Ground Type MK2's of Team CRDL had used up the last of their ammo for their primary weapons, leaving them only with their beam sabers and Vulcans. Team SSSN took some hits as well, resulting in the Crossbone and Gundam X being damaged as well. The leaders of each team soon ordered their teammates that were damaged or tired to return to the ships, each of them hoping that reinforcements would arrive soon.

Back inside the base, Mu and Natarle heard the explosions and alarms which made it clear that the base was under attack. To make matters worse, they found that the entire base was nearly completely abandoned by the time they regrouped with the Admiral and it only got worse when they spotted someone inside the command center looking at one of the monitors.

Cody barked alerting the person at the monitor who turned around, drew their sidearm and fired off several shoots at the dog who was quickly grabbed by Halberton while Mu and Natarle drew their own sidearms and fired. "Well, it looks like Sutherland is planning on sacrificing both the Grim Reaper and Hawk of Endymion. This is certainly a surprise, more lambs for the slaughter!" the person said with glee.

"I know that voice. Ali-al Saachez!?" Halberton shouted.

"Well now, Mobius One himself knows me. Must have been from your son, or should I say dead son." Saachez laughed, firing a few more rounds from his pistol. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I want to get a good seat for the fireworks show that's coming. Its been fun!"

Once the mercenary left, Mu, Natarle and Halberton soon saw what he was talking about. "That bastard!" Mu said, slamming his fist on the monitor. "This is all a trap. We've got to get to Ironwood now!" the others nodded and quickly ran as fast as they could.

They reached the city only to find that the Grimm somehow managed to get in the city. "Seems someone doesn't want any survivors. Quick, get in that vehicle!" Mu shouted running towards an abandoned LRV equipped with a machine gun turret and got on the gun. Natarle took the side seat and grabbed the carbine on the floor while the Admiral got in the driver's seat. "Punch it!"

(Guard Pursuit starts)

Beowulf's, Creeps and Bergingel's along with Deathstalkers were pouring into the underground city as the personal still at the base ran for the lives or a place to hide. "Don't stop for anything! We've got to warn the others!" Mu shouted, turning the turret on the back towards the Grimm and fired. A long-concentrated burst of bullets erupted from the barrels of the turret killing many of the creatures of darkness while Natarle aimed her carbine and fired at any thing that got in range. Several of the creatures were killed but more of them kept on following the trio.

"We've got some sharp curves up ahead. Commander, hold on tight!" Halberton shouted, turning the wheel of the vehicle to the right as hard as he could. Mu did indeed hold on tight, but the Grimm were still following them and hungry for blood. "Badgiruel, use the launcher!"

Natarle noticed that her carbine had a grenade launcher attached to it and turned around, taking aim with the weapon and fired a grenade towards the creatures of darkness which then exploded taking the creatures of Grimm out before another sharp curve where they found several soldiers fighting against the Grimm. "La Flaga! Open up with the gun!" Halberton shouted before bringing the vehicle to a stop. Rotating the turret around, Mu opened up with the turret allowing some of the soldiers to pull the wounded soldiers back. "All of you need to withdraw from the base immediately! Take the tunnels and get ten kilometers away! HURRY!" Halberton shouted as more Grimm started to show up.

The soldier in charge of the soldiers did as he was ordered and loaded up the wounded soldiers onto several vehicles and immediately gunned it for the tunnels while the trio continued on course to the lift leading to one of the hanger bays.

They soon reached the straightaway towards the lift that would take them to the hanger, but the gate was about to close. As quick as he could, Halberton pushed his foot down on the pedal and pushed the vehicle to full speed as the gate slowly started to close. "Commander, duck!" he shouted as they drew nearer and nearer to the gate. Mu did so just in time to avoid being hit, but the same couldn't be said for the turret.

(End song)

They quickly exited the vehicle and found the hanger in disarray. Dozens of personal were treating the wounded and trying to keep them safe while an officer was trying to contact back up from a nearby wall terminal. "Hey, you got to withdraw! This base is being abandoned!" Mu shouted to the soldier who taken aback before a pair of DINN's and a CGUE breached the gate and headed into the city.

The enemy pilots completely ignored the parked, Super Tomcat, Eagle and Raptor Veritechs and a dazed technician. "Listen, you've got to withdraw! The base is being abandoned! Gather the survivors and get out of here. Get at least ten kilometers away from the base!" Halberton shouted to the technician who was still dazed before Halberton yelled at the man. "THAT'S AN ORDER SOLDIER!" this time, the technician did as he was told while the trio plus Cody soon lifted off in the Veritechs, but not before changing their radio frequency to contact Colonel Adams.

What they saw when they exited the hanger was utter carnage. Ships that were damaged in the port and trying to escape after broadcasting that they were transporting injured personal were sunk without any mercy as airships detonated in midair. From all things gathered, the enemy didn't know what about what was beneath their feet.

Horrified at the carnage, Halberton ordered Natarle to located Captain Rommel and order him to retreat while Mu went to warn the Archangel and the other ships. As for the Admiral, he headed for Galm teams last known location and was going to provide some back up. He didn't get far before he found the Galm team who reported that whatever was attacking the retreating forces was destroyed. Halberton then immediately ordered the team to return to the ships as fast as possible.

Mu soon found the ships and much to his surprise saw the three captured machines were protecting the ships before he spotted his way into the Archangel in the form of a hole on the right leg of the ship. Quickly, he pushed his machine to full power and fired his machines gun pod at anything that got in his way before he managed to land his machine in the ship and headed for the bridge, much to the surprise of Murdoch and the rest of the technicians.

Even Murrue was surprised when he burst onto the bridge. "What in the hell are you doing here Commander? What about your transfer?" she asked.

"Forget about that right now." Mu started before he keyed in the frequency to all remaining forces. "We've got to withdraw now! This is all one screwed up plan. What kind of orders did they give the defense forces?" Mu questioned, much to the surprise of Ironwood and Colonel Adams.

"Ok now listen up. There's a large Cyclops System underneath headquarters. That thing is powerful to turn everything within ten kilometers of the base into that of a blast furnace. Its impossible to defend the base with what's left and reinforcements aren't coming. Soon the defenders will be wiped out and the base overrun, that's when those bastards will make the decision to activate the Cyclops and destroy the base and, in the process, take out more than half the White Fangs fighting strength! That's the whole scenario for this battle as imagined by the 'top brass'." Mu explained, earning a lot of shocked looks from everyone he told.

"It can't be!" Murrue exclaimed, hoping that the Commander was wrong.

"I swear to you, Captain Ramius, we saw it with our own eyes. The entire command center is abandoned. We're the only ones left because Sutherland, Goodman and the others were with Frozen Talon the whole time. They want to start a war and the added bonus was that they snared several students in their net. They want to replace the headmasters of Atlas and Beacon with those who share their ideals. They plan to make this look like a last stand so they can cover up all evidence of their crime." Halberton explained.

Everyone both student and soldier were immediately disgusted by what they had just heard. All this was to start a war and remove people in power who were a threat to their plans. As cries from wounded allies in trouble came over the comm's, Murrue made her decision. "If the whole purpose of this battle was to lure the White Fang in, then we have in my opinion completed our objective. Note that I Murrue Ramius make this decision alone!" she declared. Talia and the others agreed and immediately began to recall their mobile suits and all the still fighting students back to the ships so as to make their escape.

The Buster, Duel, Raptor, Saviour, Impulse and Blitz along with the Galm Team, Colonel Adam's, Wardog squadron, Natarle and Admiral Halberton remained outside the ships to protect them, but even after the enemy was given the main gate, they were still determined to destroy the ships. The incoming fire damaged the ships heavily and it wasn't long before a GINN broke through the defensive fire and aimed its weapon at the Bridge! "NO!" Shinn shouted as the GINN prepared to fire. He tried to intercept but a GuAIZ blasted the Impulse, damaging it.

It was then a miracle happened. A miracle in the form of a beam round from above which destroyed the enemy machines weapon before a blue and white blur swooped down and a green blade sliced the GINN's head off. The mysterious blur was revealed to be the Freedom.

(Meteor starts)

The blue wings of the Freedom separated as the Justice changed from fighter to mobile suit mode and stood beside the Freedom. "This Robert Halberton and Neo, we'll cover you. Please, withdraw now."

"Robert?" Miriallia asked in surprise.

"It is Robert." Sai exclaimed happily.

"Our, Robert?" Murrue asked in as much surprise as Mirallia did.

"Is it really you?" Shinn asked as he brough the damaged Impulse back to the Minerva.

"Its me, Shinn. I'm back." Robert answered before pushing the Freedom towards the incoming enemies and tapped into the power of the SEED and fired all his weapons. Fire from the Freedom's railguns, plasma cannons and beam rifle hit their targets, the enemy weapons and heads forcing them to retreat without even once hitting the cockpit. Neo followed suit, but she wasn't holding back like Robert.

"Please, stop wasting time and withdraw!" Robert told the ships captains. It was then that Murrue explained about the Cyclops system and how they were all lead into a trap. Part of Robert was angry with Sutherland, but he remained calm and did what he knew he felt he had to do.

"Attention all White Fang forces. Any minute now the Cyclops System will activate and the base will self-destruct. Cease fighting and retreat. I repeat…" he urged but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

Adam wasn't willing to listen to a human so he pushed his machine towards the Freedom and tried to fire his weapon at the Freedom. "I won't listen to a human, especially one who's killed many of my comrades!" Adam snarled as his weapon was destroyed by the boomerang of the Justice before the Freedom's beam saber slashed the knees of his machine destroyed before being pushed away. More machines continued to head towards the ships, but they were continuously pushed back after either being disarmed or destroyed by the two new Gundam's. Despite their efforts, the enemy wasn't about to let up.

But that changed when a massive beam of destruction ripped apart numerous enemy mobile suits as the Winged Gundam and Wing-Zero arrived on the scene. "This is Heero Yuy in Wing Zero. We'll handle the Cyclops System. Freedom, Justice, Duel, Buster, Blitz. Focus on protecting the ships. Zero-One and I will destroy the Cyclops system." Heero stated as both Wing-Zero and the Winged Gundam transformed.

"Its impossible! You won't be able to destroy the system in time. The base is a maze of tunnels!" Mu exclaimed as he downed a pair of DINN's with his gun pod.

"They won't need to go into the base commander! They have more than enough fire power to destroy the system, just send them the location and they'll handle everything else!" Neo explained.

Not many people were willing to trust Neo after what she did, but Velvet on the other hand knew she was telling the truth. "Just do it Commander!" she shouted. Mu did so and it wasn't long before the two machines flew well above the range of enemy fire.

(End song)

Onboard on the transport submarines that had left the doomed base, Sutherland waited as Goodman entered the room with the second key for the detonator for the Cyclops systems remote detonator. "It's my sincerest wish that this sacrifice brings the world together against the monsters that are the Faunus and Coordinators." Goodman stated.

"For the preservation of our blue and pure world." Sutherland added and the two turned the keys.

Underneath the base, the Cyclops system powered up and started to do its work. The water in the bodies of those who remained at the base started to heat up, causing them to expand like a balloon before exploding in a shower of blood and bones, a painful and quick end to their lives. Those that started to retreat weren't able to get out in time, but those that did were about to bear witness to an awesome sight.

(Take the Wave starts)

Bringing their mighty weapons to bear directly on the system underneath the earth, Heero and the pilot of the Winged Gundam charged up their weapons… and unleashed hell. Three powerful golden beams of hellfire hit the ground below them exposing the array beneath the base before they waited for both weapons to charge up again.

Their next shots were fired at full power and the system was soon destroyed before it could do anymore damage. Those that were caught in the blast didn't survive and those that saw this were amazed by the sheer power of the two Gundam's.

On board one of the White Fang subs, the crews and Adam saw the devastation brought on by the two machines. Many of the members of the White Fang were afraid, but Adam was angry that his plan had failed and he knew he was going to catch hell from Sienna, not only for his failure but for his deception.

"Those humans will pay for this." He seethed with fury.

Based on the data acquired from the G-Weapons, the White Fang faction loyal to Sienna Khan built two mobile suits with similar capabilities as the Strike and Aegis with their transformation features and weapons. The Justice is the sibling unit of the Freedom but focuses more on agility and the various tactics the pilot can use, making it a force to be reckoned with, especially when docked with a special unit.

The sibling unit to the Justice, the Freedom is designed for neutralizing enemy mobile suits with its heavy firepower. Its multi lock-on system allows it to target multiple enemy units at once. Like the Justice and Strike, the Freedom features a transformation mode which was the predecessor for the Veritechs along with its primary gun pod. Its beam rifle features a transformation mode allowing it to change into weapons ranging from an assault rifle to shotgun. A special feature allows the Freedom to supposedly combine with the G-Weapons and the Justice. Its beam sabers can combine into a double-bladed beam saber, much like the ones used by the Justice. It is also compatible with the Soul-Drive.

And done! This chapter was one I have been wanting to write for some time. The Freedom, along with Wing-Zero are my favorite Gundam's. For those wondering, the fighter modes of the Freedom and Justice are the F14D Super Tomcat and the customized SU-35 Flanker-E that was Starscreams vehicle mode.

I also took a cue from a few other Gundam stories with the part of Wing-Zero and Wing Gundam destroying the Cyclops System, which I might add after seeing the effects of the system on the body was a bit disgusting.
