Jinx stared confusedly at the two boys sitting close together whilst they watched the newest James Bond film that had randomly been playing on the large, flat-screen television in the spacious living room at around ten AM. She was sat opposite them, contemplating Elliot Knight thoughtfully. Wally West and him had emerged together from his own messy bedroom in the late morning, when Jinx was already fully dressed and ready for the day ahead, looking very refreshed and joyous. Jinx of course had inspected countless films with Elliot and with a few others of the Hive Five before, but never once had she seen him so relaxed. Usually, he would sit perfectly upright, never slumping and would always wear a tense, cantankerous demeanour with a solemn, serious expression, not once smiling, never even mind laugh. The only one in the mediocre gang of decent villains who actually succeeded in enlightening Elliot was Seemore, though he had now begun slowly drifting away, becoming closer to Billy Numerous instead. Jinx had attempted numerous times to crack even the slightest twitch of his pale lips but to no avail, and she had even known him for a couple of years now. Yet here he was smiling contently at a mischievously grinning Kid Flash, that he had known for literally only two months or so. In fact, it had taken a year of inflicting himself unrelentingly against the former villain for Elliot to even accept Seemore's constant presence besides him. So, how could they get so close so quickly when Elliot was so reticent?

Jinx sighed frustratedly, turning back to see Wally flinching at the frighteningly vast pile of bloody corpses in the bustling movie, while Elliot showed no sign of any revulsion or particular bother at all really. Flash gawked, in stunned shock at his pale companion's lack of any care really at all for the gruesome gore.

"Ellie, how is this not...gross to you?," Wally spluttered incredulously.

"Pffft. I've skinned an animal when I was six, with all the blood and stuff. Anyway, that is just fake blood, none of this is real and I don't see how you can be so stupid over this,"Elliot sighed exasperatedly.

"Wait- you. Skinned an animal? When you were six?,"Flash uttered, with stunned mortification.

Elliot raised his eyebrows and snapped irritatedly,"Yeah. It's no big deal."

"You poor, poor soul,"Wally said shakily, swiftly wrenching a startledly hissing Elliot into a teasing embrace.

"Wally!,"Elliot sighed exasperatedly, rolling his amber eyes at the playful speedster's childish antics.

Jinx took her short chance swiftly.

"You two slept together last night, didn't you?,"Jinx tested suspiciously, scrutinising their upcoming reaction.

"Wh-hat-? E- ewh! No-o! I...err,"Elliot began panickedly, now eluding Wally's warm hug.

"Yep,"Flash snickered amusedly, simply for the pure bliss of humiliating Elliot Knight.

Elliot scowled embarrassedly and tossed a comfy cushion at a laughing Kid Flash's face, who merely caught it and rapidly smothered it playfully in Elliot's chest, puckishly knocking him onto his back. Wally burst into more fervent laughter, as Elliot abashedly chose to lie on his stomach with his pale face pressed to the soft pillow in order to evade the utter humiliation.

"Yeah, Jinx, but only cos sleepy boi over there had a nightmare,"Wally assured, softening slightly.

Jinx glared frustratedly at Elliot's back: hadn't she offered her own support? She didn't know how to open Elliot up yet, but she would continually try until she eventually succeeded. Even if that took forever. She scowled bitterly, watching the two boys with a sour pout.

"C'mon, El,"Flash goaded teasingly, playfully prodding his back.

"I really, really hate you, Wally,"Elliot grumbled embarrassedly, sighing as he sat up and turned away abashedly from both Jinx and Kid Flash with his pale arms crossed.

"Hmm, keep telling yourself that. I know that really you adore me. Everyone does,"Kid Flash taunted roguishly.

"Ugh, Wally, no!,"Elliot Knight hissed irritatedly,"You are so stupid!"

Flash snickered amusedly,"So stupidly amazing."

"Stop!,"Elliot groaned annoyedly.

"What-? You want me to stop being fabulous?,"Wally West exclaimed mischievously with mock shock.

"W.A.L.L.Y! No!,"Elliot warned exasperatedly.

"No to how lucky you are to know me?,"Wally countered puckishly.

"WALLY! Be quiet already!,"Elliot snapped irritatedly.

"Why? Are you scared that you won't be able to keep denying my stunning amazingness?,"Flash joshed roguishly.

With a deep, piqued breath, Elliot Knight nimbly tossed a comfy cushion in his face. Wally burst into entertained laughter, relishing this immensely. Jinx rolled her pink eyes exasperatedly as Elliot continued showering Flash, who was laughing fitfully, with soft pillows as playful projectiles. Boys.

Suddenly, all three jolted in abrupt surprise as both Jinx and Kid Flash's small t-communicator rang raucously from in their furtive pockets, alerting them of a presently occurring crime. Jinx, already in her flouncy costume, leapt gracefully to her feet, checking the marked coordinates eagerly. Kid Flash was actually still in his designer, casual clothes but with a confident smirk, he sped impossibly fast into his unorganised bedroom and swiftly emerged again in his bright spandex. Elliot Knight sighed dolefully- this was one of the major disadvantages of having busy Titan friends. They had other more pressing duties than Elliot could ever present and he knew he was being extremely stupid. He definitely shouldn't be bothered that they had to leave him alone. Yet he was. Ever since he had warily transitioned to accompany them as a normal civilian, he was cherishing the revelled thought that he was desired as company and actually liked it whenever Wally dragged him along to be with him. Even though he always acted immensely irked, he enjoyed it greatly, though of course he'd never ever personally admit to that. Jinx was already bounding elegantly away to face off against whatever heinous crime was being committed, but Wally West stayed, thoughtfully staring at Elliot's sorrowful expression. Wally placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, smiling warmly as Elliot gazed up quizzically.

"You know that I'm the fastest boy alive, right? I'm not going to be long or anything,"Flash assured teasingly.

However, this obviously did not soothe Elliot in the slightest and he sighed defeatedly,"Okay then. Just come with me."

"What-?,"Elliot said bewilderedly.

Abruptly, Wally picked him up bridal style and teased mischievously at Elliot's startled hiss,"You're coming with me."

"Thanks,"Elliot whispered quietly.

"Hmm? What was that?,"Flash goaded mockingly, smirking playfully.

"Shush, Wally. Don't you have a crime to deal with?,"Elliot Knight hissed indignantly, eternally cursing himself for his little slip up.

"Yep. But you're too funny to wind up to miss a chance,"Wally West taunted amusedly.

Elliot hissed irritatedly again and pouted annoyedly as he crossed his pale arms defiantly. Wally merely laughed and smiled fondly at his former villain friend, still in his strong arms. Kid Flash was genuinely impressed how close they'd gotten, when not too long ago, Elliot Knight would be absolutely repulsed and mortified at being carried by Wally West, of all people, especially in this particular way. He saw how Elliot's muscles weren't tensed, on the contrary he seemed rather relaxed and was fully content with simply being held like this as he absentmindedly purred quietly. Even if Elliot hadn't been altered by his satanic mother, he was still similar to a mere feline in general behaviors naturally, a few examples being nuzzling and sleepiness. Wally almost unconsciously pressed Elliot closer, feeling the pleasant, demonic coolness of his pale skin mingle perfectly with his human warmth. An affectionate smile spread over his face.

Elliot looked up expectantly at Wally's face and was instantly curious at his oddly warm, dazed smile.

"Wally?,"he enquired agogly.

"Oh, err- nothing. Let's go, huh?,"Flash replied embarrassedly as he realized he'd been staring.

And with that, the humiliated speedster sped off with the pale former villain resting in his reliable arms.

Later on, in the bustling streets of Jump City, Elliot Knight was struggling to look away from the glorious contents of the precious jewels in the discarded thief's bag. He watched intently at the chaotic scene before him: Kid Flash pelting with impossible speed after Dr Light, who was firing wildly with an electrical laser cannon and Jinx somersaulting gracefully as she too eluded the persistent villain's constant amo. Elliot gazed enviously at the treasured loot, with lusciously fresh packets of dollars, gloriously shining gold coins, and luxuriously sparkling gems. The two heroes were so distracted, surely they would never notice if just a little of the valuable loot went missing

It was now early afternoon and Wally West was eying Elliot Knight suspiciously. He was constantly biting his pale lip shamefully, almost to the point it was being gnawed until it bled, and wouldn't stop fidgeting anxiously, shooting almost fearful glances at both of the apprehensive Titans. Jinx and Kid Flash exchanged wary looks and swiftly took advantage when Elliot skittishly excused himself jumpily to the hygienic toilet. The present problem was that with his sensitive demon ears, Elliot would hear all, so they sneakily smirked as they pointed brightly to their small t-communicators. Jinx texted initially.

Wally scowled indignantly at Jinx, who was smirking triumphantly and crossed his arms defensively as he defeatedly heard the bathroom door unlock with jittery, spooked movements. With another dirty look at Jinx, he turned to Elliot, who looked ready to squeal fearfully as he approached confusedly, yet also worriedly. Flash placed a firm hand on Elliot's shoulder, gently guiding him in his own messy bedroom, closing it securely behind him. Kid Flash steered Elliot Knight, who seemed to be in a wild panic, to the sturdy double bed, watching concernedly and suspiciously as his panicking companion blanched, began biting his lip so vehemently blood was forming and struggling not to frantically teleport away. Finally, Flash gently pushed Elliot on the comfy bed, sitting besides him.

"Can you stop doing that to your lip and tell me what's up, please, Ellie? There's no point lying to me,"Wally asked worriedly.

Elliot shook his head fervently and looked away anxiously. He so yearned that he had merely ignored the strong urge before- he felt like an awful failure, and heavy guilt was almost eternally crushing him. How had he failed already? Flash concernedly caught a furtive spark of great guilt in Elliot's amber eyes and his face hardened uneasily.

"El...I'm your best friend, remember?,"Wally prompted hopefully.

Before Elliot Knight could object, he was tugged suddenly in a deceptive embrace. Kid Flash was completely aware that it would easily crumple his deteriorating resolve to keep it to himself and smirked victoriously as he felt Elliot groan defeatedly. Damn Wally West. Flash's sly smirk slowly transformed into an affectionate smile, before swiftly changing back to his cunning expression beforehand as Elliot Knight peeled away conflictedly.

"I-I...I've failed, Wally,"Elliot admitted shakily, cupping his pale face in his hands despairingly.

Wally pulled him back in a reassuring embrace, gradually cracking the unknown truth from the poor, defenceless boy. Elliot took another deep breath and continued to mumble in the worried speedster's chest rather than actually face him.

"Remember...wi-with Dr Lig-light? I- I- I stole! I just saw it and it looked so good and I couldn't help-,"he cried desperately, having to take an unsteady breath as he finally looked up to Wally with ashamed dejection,"I'll-I'll...pack my bags."

"Hold up, Ellie. Jinx has done that loads- it takes time getting used to this, okay? You know how many times I have had to return stuff cos she stole it? It's no biggie. And trust me...you are my prisoner, remember? I'm not going back on my word. You aren't leaving, Ellie,"Wally assured amusedly, chuckling as he wrapped his hands around Elliot's pale wrists like manacles.

Elliot gawked confusedly before beginning to laugh relievedly, just so thankful he didn't have to leave anytime soon. Kid Flash smiled mischievously and playfully dragged Elliot Knight by the wrists out of his flamboyant bedroom, over to the comfortable sofa, next to Jinx. Wally West swiftly answered her unspoken question.

"Oh, he stole something,"Flash explained brightly before turning back cheerfully to Elliot again,"Where have you put the stuff, El?"

"Oh, under your bed,"he replied uneasily.

Kid Flash nodded and in a colourful blur of impossible speed, pelted away. Jinx gaped incredulously before rapidly recovering again and turning back to Elliot Knight with an amused smile.

"Don't worry. I once stole a ferrari."
