Gabriella was pacing her room the night before graduation. She was so deep in thought that she hadn't seen the figure standing on her balcony. Her thoughts were interrupted by a tapping on her balcony door. Her gasp turned to a smile as she saw Troy standing there. She unlocked the door and buried herself into his open arms as soon as he crossed the threshold. "Hey Baby Girl, why the pacing?"

She shrugged and leant her head against his shoulder. "Just nervous I guess, what are you doing here?"

"Can't I come see my favourite girl?

"Can you stay?" At his nod, she smiled and grabbed his hands, pulling him over to her bed. They laid facing each other with his arm wrapped around her waist.

He spoke first. "So what do you want to do tonight?"

"I don't know, something fun, I don't want to think about tomorrow."

"Ok we could watch a movie or talk or find something else to do."

"Can we just talk, we used to lay here for hours in freshman and sophomore year and just talk. Now we only really do if it's something important like college."

"We did do this all the time, didn't we... It's crazy to think that just over three and a half years ago we became friends."

She smiled. "That day in your Dad's office was so confusing for me, I was worried I'd get hurt but I felt so safe with you."

"I was so nervous, I was scared you were gonna say no."

She grinned teasingly. "The Wildcat superstar was afraid. Who knew the most popular guy in school could get nervous."

"I'm nervous a lot Brie."

She brushed the hair from his eyes. "I know Baby, it's hard to imagine at first, you're always so in control, like that day in the classroom."

"That was simultaneously one of the best and worst days of my life."

"Yeah, but it strengthened our friendship."

He kissed her forehead. "That it did Baby, that it did."

"We had lots of fun times though, even if we had to hide."

He laughed. "Babe, we were hiding for three years most of which was our relationship."

She sighed happily and snuggled closer. "I still remember the night you asked me out, you made it one of the best nights despite how it started."

"I remember that night perfectly, you were wearing a dark blue dress that came to your knees and the top was lace with a sort of ribbon made of those silver jewel things - I don't really know what they're called. You had your hair down in curls and you looked so beautiful. I was so annoyed that he was with you because I wanted to be the one with you, holding your hand and telling you that you looked beautiful. Then he hurt you and I wanted to kill him for making you cry and feel less than the perfect girl you are."

She had tears in her eyes as she leant forward to kiss him gently. "That's so sweet Wildcat, I can't believe you remember that but I have to say, you looked very handsome in your suit."

"My parents had told me that after you said yes, I wouldn't stop smiling for weeks."

"Mom said I wouldn't stop blushing for weeks after you asked." She looked down and realised that at some point during the conversation, their legs had tangled together. "You climbed my balcony the night after the dance for our first date, you had pizza and strawberries."

He grinned. "Hold that thought Brie." He got up and went to the balcony, bringing back a picnic basket (credit to Disney). "Margherita pizza, just the way you like it and let's not forget, what's a picnic without chocolate covered strawberries."

She grinned, "what if you're right?"

Their eyes sparkled with identical grins as they repeated the words of their first date. Gabriella laid on her stomach and Troy laid on his side as they leaned on their arms eating the pizza. He also pulled out two bottles of water for them. They soon finished the pizza. "Still got room for strawberries Brie?" He chuckled as she nodded and pulled out the strawberries and he saw her eyes light up. They spent their time eating and feeding each other strawberries until they got down to the last one.

"Do you want the last strawberry?" She looked as if she was deciding whether to or not. "Come on, this could very well be the best strawberry in the entire world but you wouldn't know 'cause you're not gonna try it."

Her eyes sparkled, "fine then." She leaned forward as he fed her the strawberry before he ate the other half. "You were right."

They smiled at each other before drinking some water and going back to their previous position on her bed. She looked at him admiringly as she ran her fingers through his hair. "Thank you for recreating our first date, that was so sweet Wildcat."

He grabbed her hand and kissed it softly. "I love you."

"I love you too."

He leaned over and gently started kissing her, using his free hand to brush the hair from her face before resting it on her hip as her arms wrapped around his neck. They continued this languidly, their kisses remaining slow and soft with their characteristic gentleness that had been present throughout their relationship. Troy didn't try to deepen or rush it, but apparently, Gabriella had other ideas.

She pushed him onto his back and straddled him. She tugged at his shirt which he complied, ripping it off over his head. He looked deeply into her eyes and ran his hands up and down her hips. He didn't want to push too far but he tugged softly on her shirt, his eyes asking for permission. She nodded and he slowly lifted the shirt over her head.

He grabbed her waist and gently laid her down, resting on one of his arms as he hovered over her. He looked into her eyes as he stroked her stomach and waist. He started kissing around her neck and collarbone, gentle enough not to leave any marks that may be visible. He skipped over her breasts, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable and placed kisses on her stomach going up towards her ribs.

As he continued his ministrations, she ran her hands over his broad muscular shoulders. He stopped when he reached her bra, looking up at her for permission. She nodded and he kissed up the valley of her breasts. He made his way back up to her lips and met her for a passionate kiss. She pulled him down so she could feel his body weight on her and wrapped her legs around his hips, relieved to feel that he was as affected as she was.

She felt Troy's tongue run over her bottom lip and immediately opened, his tongue exploring her mouth. She ran her hands over his toned chest while he started to slow down the kisses. With one final kiss, he pulled away and flipped them so that she was resting on his chest. She leant her head on her forearms and looked at him adoringly. He played with a strand of her hair. "You're ok right Baby? You're not feeling self-conscious or anything because if you do, you can put your shirt back on, I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable."

She shook her head smiling. "No I'm fine like this, that was amazing."

"It sure was Brie, you're beautiful Baby."

"And you're handsome." A thought popped into her head and she giggled. "I don't think we would've been confident enough to have done that in sophomore year."

He laughed and shook his head. "Absolutely not, but I'm glad we've gotten here now. I'm glad I get to experience this with you."

"Me too Wildcat, I love you."

"I love you too Beautiful." Troy looked at the time and sighed, leaning his forehead against hers. "As much as I'd love to stay here and continue this all night, I have to get back before Mom and Dad realise I'm gone, and I don't want to get you in trouble with your mom."

She nodded and got up with him after they both put their shirts back on, she walked with him to the balcony with their hands intertwined. "I wish you could stay."

"Me too but our parents would kill us."

She nodded and he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer in his arms. Gabriella placed her hands on his upper arms. "Thanks for doing this tonight Baby, it was exactly what I needed."

"No worries Baby Girl, I think we both did. I had fun tonight."

"Yeah me too." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. "We'll have to do it more over the summer... And promise we'll do one of our movie nights like we used to in freshman year."

He kissed the top of her head. "I promise Brie." He sighed, "I should probably go now, I'll see you tomorrow, don't be nervous, everything'll be ok I promise. I love you Baby."

"I love you too Wildcat, good night."

"Sweet dreams Babe."
