A/N: The Star Trek Fanfiction universe has written extensively on the core crew of Voyager. This fanfiction boldly goes in a new direction and explores the characters from the gaming universe of Voyager.
Alexandria Munro is the main female playable character from arguably one of the greatest video games ever developed for the Star Trek Universe, Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Forces. This is my opinion, but also a popular one. The other is Star Trek: Starfleet Academy which I pay homage to in Chapter 25: The Heart of Virtue.
Alexandria Munro rose to fame as the commander of the Hazard Team aboard Voyager during its journey through the Delta. Her exploits became legendary and the Hazard Team attained an almost mythical standing amongst the crew of Voyager. However, upon returning to Earth the missions of the Hazard Team were classified and their valiant actions buried under the bureaucratic veil of secrecy. Relegated to the rank of ensign and transferred to the Enterprise, Alexandria's story in Star Trek: Legacy picks up not long after Voyager returns home to Earth and the destruction of Romulus. Enjoy.
EPISODE III: THE FEW, THE ELITE

Family Affairs
Three weeks have passed since the battle with the Breen battleship at sector 3-0-9. Now docked at Starbase 375, life aboard the Enterprise-A has surprisingly returned to a sort of normalcy as crews work around the clock to repair the damage inflicted upon her.
Pete Wiley was awarded the Medal of Commendation for his act of bravery and duly promoted to the rank of engineer. Engineer Zirash Cerv was promoted to the rank of assistant engineer. It is yet to be seen if Gates may come to regret his recommendation of the feisty Tellerite. As for the bridge crew, Ensign Grace Barrett, is now a science officer and now dons a blue stripped Starfleet uniform.
Ensign Alexandria Munro is now a familiar sight on the bridge, with her and Suri Dailia sharing the post of helm. Marina and Saren have formed a somewhat odd-couple friendship and have come to form a unique pairing. At least it appears that Saren has come to tolerate the her more emotional counterpart in Marina.
Commander Genevieve Picard seems to have taken her role as first officer as more akin to that of a co-captain. Jonathan for his part is quite happy to share the burden of command with her. For the crew, Kirk and Picard, are a unified command unit. In dark corridors where bulkheads cast even darker shadows it is alleged that the commander and captain share a relationship that extends far beyond that of command.
Jonathan ponders the transformations aboard the Enterprise in his quarters when his door chimes.
"Enter," says Kirk.
Alexander walks in.
"Sir,"
"Lieutenant, how can I help you?"
"Sir, I have personal matter to discuss,"
Jonathan relaxes his posture. "What is on your mind Alexander?" Jonathan takes a seat and gestures to an open chair; however, Alexander continues to stand.
"At ease, lieutenant,"
Alexander stands at attention and get right down to business.
"The human child, Hanna, give her to me," blurts Worf.
Jonathan raises his eyebrows in surprise.
"Give her – to you?" he echoes.
"Her father died aboard serving aboard the Leviathan,"
"I am aware,"
Confusion turns to curiosity for the captain.
"I and Dailia… are willing to take guardianship of the girl,"
Jonathan notes Alexander is following Klingon doctrine, male before female, 'I' before 'Dailia'.
"She is a human?" remarks Kirk.
"She is alone," rebuts Worf.
Jonathan blows out a breath. For a moment, he considers the direction the conversation is about to take and concludes a drink is in order. Jonathan retrieves a crystal drinking glass from his secluded drink bar and fills it to the rim with a clear spirit. A generous sip soothes the larynx.
"True," remarks the captain.
Alexander senses his captain's hesitancy and frowns. "If you decline because you wish the girl to be with humans, I will not pursue the matter further. However, if you agree I give you my word, the girl will be cared,"
Jonathan pauses to contemplate what the Klingon just unwittingly implied: Are you prejudiced? If you are, it is okay. We are not. We are ready to take care of her.
"Yes," blurts Kirk, realizing he spoke instead of thinking.
"I do not understand what you mean, sir?"
Jonathan puts down his glass and carries on as if he never said anything, so Alexander continues to pled his case.
"We believe that we can rear the child. I was raised by human grandparents. I and Dailia can provide a safe environment and…,"
"Love her?" interrupts Kirk.
Alexander's expression hardens but then relaxes after considering the question.
"Yes,"
"Are you sure, Alexander?"
"Yes, we are,"
Jonathan is relieved, hearing the word, 'we.'
"I will have to clear this with the nurse Beckham,"
"I understand,"
"I cannot promise anything, but I will grant you temporary guardianship for the time being,"
"Thank you, sir,"
"Will that be all, Alexander?"
"Yes sir,"
Worf takes a step back, spins around and takes his leave. Jonathan, does not return his attention to the space beyond, and instead plunges into deep introspection.

Worf returns to his quarters. As the doors part he sees Dailia waiting anxiously to greet him. He strolls in without saying a word in an attempt to maximize the suspense. Dailia is perturbed by this and quickly seeks to the outcome of the meeting with the captain.
"And…?"
Worf's eyes widen and then speaks in a victorious tone. "The captain has agreed to grant us temporary guardianship girl!"
"Temporary?" says Dailia, unsatisfied.
"Yes," replies Worf. "We must now prove we are worthy of raising the child!"
Suri contemplates arguing with Alexander, but realizes that the captain is right. They have to prove they were fit and ready to raise a child. However, Dailia is not ready to concede, choosing instead to return a dissatisfying look.
Worf simply grunts and then taps his combadge.
"Worf to Beckham, please respond."
"Nurse Beckham here, go ahead Lieutenant,"
"Nurse Beckham, the captain has approved my request to take temporary guardianship of Hanna,"
"I have so been informed, Lieutenant,"
"Very good, I wish to retrieve her immediately,"
"Lieutenant, I would prefer that Ms. Dailia and you come together over a period of several days here before taking guardianship. Emotionally, she is fragile and will need the time to adjust," says Nurse Beckham and then adds. "I have already cleared this with the captain."
Worf grunts.
"Very well," a reluctant agrees Worf. "We will proceed as you suggest."
"Thank you, lieutenant, Beckham out,"
Worf taps his combadge to close the channel and then turns to Dailia who swiftly disappears into the bedroom to create distance for what she wants next.
"I want you to invite your friends to my birthday party," she calls from the bedroom.
"Why?" barks Worf. "Is the child not enough?"
"Because they are your friends, and it is important to me to that they come to my birthday," she says, while combing her hair. "I'm inviting Alex,"
"Why?" barks Worf again.
Suri gives a confounding look. "She saved my life?"
"She was doing her duty!" exclaims Worf. "As I was, aboard the Fibonacci."
"She was there too with you," remarks Dailia.
Worf grunts.
"She went above and beyond," Dailia rebuts. "Even you can acknowledge that."
Suri sees Alexander hearing her, but failing to understand her words.
"What's wrong?" sighs Dailia.
"The Breen," he replies.
Suri rolls her eyes and nods her head.
"You are starting to sound like your father!" exclaims Dailia.
"I'm nothing like him!" yells Worf.
"Oh,"
"I am not my father," empathically states Worf.
Dailia reappears with arms crossed over her chest with a look of skepticism.
"Fine, invite them!" barks Worf.
Suri wraps her arms around Alexander and mouths the words: "Thank you,"
Alexander realizes that Suri has changed into her Starfleet uniform.
"What are you doing?" he asks.
"I'm on shift in five minutes," she replies.
"Now you are leaving!" growls Worf. "We were going to spend the night together."
"Sorry," says Dailia with a shrug of her shoulders.
In anger, Alexander violently grabs Suri by the arm and swings her around.
"What are you going to do, hum?" she remarks. "Stop me."
Alexander snarls at her. Suri clenches Alexander's uniform and slams him into a nearby wall. The violent demonstration illustrates that the Orion has the strength, passion, and spirit equal to that of the strongest of Klingon women. Pinned to the wall, she caresses his face. "It's a short shift," she says softly. "So, wait up for me, it will be worth it."
Suri kisses Alexander passionately, but not long enough to satisfy him.
"See you later," she winks at Alexander and then disappears through the silver-grey doors.
