A/N: Hello my lovely readers. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this time. So, this is part 1 of the trial. Hope you enjoy!*It does mention rape so please beware before reading*

"Let's get this started with so Mrs. Hamilton doesn't pass out again." Judge Jay says taking his place at the table in the front of the room, "Mr. Burr, first witness to the stand."

"We call Eliza Hamilton to the stand."

I stand up from the couch. I take my time walking to the chair that was placed by Judge Jay. George Washington stands up and takes the Bible we had shoved in the drawer of our end table so he can give me the oath.

I place my hand on the Bible and he asks me,"Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"

"I do."

I remove my hand, and George sits back down.

Burr stands up and begins to pace the room, "Please state your name and age for the court."

"My name is Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton, but I go by Eliza Hamilton most of the time. I am 35 years old."

"Let's start with the very beginning. When were you first approached by Thomas Jefferson?"

I explained it all. I explained everything that I had to. I was doing pretty good. I was able to explain how I got into this mess and what I was doing to correct my mistake. Then Aaron asked me, "Eliza, I know this is a sensitive subject for you, but can you explain the events of the first assault with the courtroom?"

I swallowed, "Right. He came to Peggy's house to drop off the money. Peggy answered the door. I got up to get the money, he pulled me away. Shoved me into the bathroom, pinned me against the wall, kissed me." I started to breathe heavy, tears fogging my vision, "His hand roamed my body. He touched my hips, my waist, my butt, my thigh, my…" I broke down.

"Please take your time, Eliza."

"He cupped my privates in his hand. I kneed him so he would stop touching me. I couldn't breathe. What I thought was deja vu was actually a flashback to highschool. I was assaulted twice, so being in that situation brought me back. He tried to touch my shoulder, I slapped it away. I told him to leave. He gave me the money and said something about me being prude because I wouldn't sleep with him. I grabbed him and told him to say it to my face. He did, so I slapped him across the face. I told him to get out before I beat him up to the point of unrecognition. He left. I broke down."

"What did you do after that?"

I wiped a tear from my cheek. "Peggy called Alexander. I didn't tell him about this part of my life. I didn't tell him about highschool, but he needed to know what happened with Jefferson. So I had to explain high school and also what I was planning to do before I cancelled it."

"How did he respond to the news of hearing you past trauma?"

"He was…" I looked at him. His eyes met mine, I didn't break eye contact with him. I felt okay just seeing his face, "He was supportive and kind. After I relaxed a little bit and was able for him to touch me without flinching away, he held me as I cried and as I broke down. He held me and reminded me that I didn't have to go through anything alone because we are partners."

"And about hiring a hit-man?"

"He scolded me at first, but then he let it go. He was too focused on making sure that I felt safe in his arms."

"So, he found out your plans to kill someone and he didn't care?"

"No, he did. He was more relieved that I called them off because I was in the wrong mindset."

"What happened next in the timeline?"

I had stopped crying and was able to talk clearly without issues. Thank goodness. "We went home. Angelica and Peggy came over for dinner. We made a plan, the four of us. A plan to take him to court."

"Explain some details of this."

"We knew that what he did was wrong, but we had our challenges. Such as me getting involved in the first place. But we devised a plan that would keep me out of jail and get justice for my party. We had a fake kill set up. He was going to kill Alexander per Angelica's request. But Angelica is in London with her husband John right now, and she didn't pay, so he can't go through with it. We also planned to show this information to George Washington on account of getting him on our side."

"What happened following the dinner with your sisters?"

"They spent the night. It was late, Peggy and Angelica had some wine and I didn't feel comfortable with them going home right then. I had woken up in the middle of the night with a nightmare of being dropped off the balcony of my childhood home after being drugged by a dream version of Thomas. I had a panic attack, a physical effect of what had happened to me just that past day. I couldn't sleep so I did some work, but Alex brought me back to bed."

"And the following morning when you woke up?"

"I had breakfast with my sisters, husband, and children. We all called Mr. Washington to discuss having dinner with him. They all left for work, and I dropped the kids off at school, but my youngest, James, doesn't go to school so he hung out with me for the day. During the day, I was feeling sick, and puking. I took a pregnancy test, found out that I was pregnant."

"Wow, so what did you do next?"

"I put James down for a nap, and went to tell Alex." I smile, slightly. His face was pure elation for the fact that I was going to have another child with him. "I left shortly after, but I bumped into Jefferson." I paused, tears starting to fall from my face, "I was trying to be civil just say 'hello' and leave, but he cornered me. I backed up, but his hand went up my thigh. It brushed the hem of the spandex I wore under my skirt. I started to panic. I froze, I couldn't move. Alex saved me. We went to talk to George right away. I felt that was the best thing to do."

I felt like I couldn't breathe again. I calmed myself down as Burr asked the next question.

"What happened during that time with Mr. President?"

"I had explained what happened in the hallway. He said he would look into it by checking security footage for me."

"Alright. Can we give Mrs. Hamilton a break on the stand so she can have a moment?"

"Motion approved. Mr. Jefferson, you will be called to the stand to explain up until that point. Mr. Madison will ask you to keep the story moving and any questions to clear up any confusion. Mrs. Hamilton. Take a break, drink some water, compose yourself, and you will complete the rest of your story after his testimony."
