It seemed to take them a lifetime, but the day finally came where Joe and Nicky reached the Pacific. There was nothing familiar left, people, animals, plants, buildings all seemed very strange. They were fascinated by this whole new world that presented itself to them. People still looked a bit funny when they saw them, but nobody has ever shown any sign of hostility, people were simply curious. They tried to learn to communicate with them but it was difficult.

The night before they had reached the ocean, they had had a new vision, what seemed to be a temple, lion statues sitting in front of the entrance, golden green roof and numerous windows. The building seemed huge in their vision. They had picked up some parchment in a city and so Joe started to draw what he had seen. They were hoping that if they showed it to people, someone might recognize it.

Joe's drawing skills had surprised Nicky at first. Now he had to keep Joe from using all the paper they had. Joe always looked for an excuse to draw Nicky and Nicky couldn't help but feel flattered. The pictures Joe drew were beautiful, his love for Nicky showing in every line he drew.

As they travelled south, asking people for help, they came across a group of warriors. Showing the drawing of the two women and of the temple one of them said he recognized them.

'Are you sure?'

'I have never seen a woman like her, she was travelling with an Asian warrior. Long brown hair, piercing green eyes,' the soldier said.

'When did you seen them?'

'About 2 weeks ago, the were travelling in the same direction you two are heading.' Joe looked at Nicky, they were so close. They gave the soldier a bit of coin and continued their journey.

That night, Joe was about to finish eating when Nicky said. 'What if they don't accept us?'

'What do you mean?' Joe asked swallowing down the last bits of his meal.

'You know us, together.' Nicky looked down into the flames. Joe recognized that this was not the first time this thought had crossed Nicky's mind. He sat closer to Nicky, directing his glance back to him.

'If they don't accept our love then we leave them after we got our answers. But I don't think that fate would have shown us the way if it didn't mean that we belonged together. The 4 of us. I know one thing, no matter the outcome, you and I we will stay together, forever habibi.'

Joe gently kissed Nicky, trying to purr all his love and affection on Nicky as if to reinforce his words. Nicky immediately responded. Every time Joe touched him; his body yearned for more.

'I love you.' Nicky said as Joe came undone under his touch.

It took them 3 more weeks to find a merchant who showed them the way to the temple. As they stood in front of the impressive building, Nicky searched for Joe's hand. Joe gave him a reassuring squeeze. And then they headed up the stairs.

As they stepped into the building, they felt a presence. Walking through the building as if pulled by a magnet, Joe and Nicky walked towards a wooden door with golden flowers on it. As they stepped through the door, they stood in front of a small yard surrounded by walls, yet the sun shining down on them. It was a small space with a few benches and a water fountains and endless flowers planted around it.

And there they were. Two women, looking as fearsome as they had in their dreams. Smiling at them and standing up to greet them with a hug.

'We have waited so long to meet you.' The Asian woman who presented herself as Quynh said.

'As we saw the first visions of the two of you, I couldn't believe it.' Andromache said. 'Never before where their two of us reborn at once.'

'How many of us are there?'

A flash of sadness quickly flashed up in Andromache's eyes. 'Only the 4 of us.'

Quynh motioned them to sit down. 'Tell us everything about you.' She said with a huge smile on her face. 'I want to know all about the epic love story I had to spectate from afar.'

Joe and Nicky seized up. They shared a look. 'You know about…us?'

'As you had visions of us, we had visions of you, of your past and of your journey.' Andromache said. Her voice calming, showing no sign of disgust or hate. 'I envy you. Living through all of this with another immortal by your side. I don't know shit about why we are still here or why they aren't more of us, but I like to believe that there is a reason you two woke up together.'

And just like that Nicky and Joe had found a new family, a home. They sat in this yard for hours telling stories about their lives, about what they had lived through. From this day on, the 4 of them were inseparable.

The end. I want to thank every one who made it though all the chapters. Leave a review, tell me what you think about my vision of the early days of Nicky and Joe. :) I know that there are many stories left untold. However, I wanted to finish the story instead of getting lost in small plot-lines. Maybe someday I'll write the chapters missing or even write about the adventures of the 4 of them.
