"Tikki! Help me!"
"Do you want me to go tech you more sugar or some water?"
"I don't know. I was thinking I could use my Lucky Charm and maybe whip out a quiche or a oven full of-"
Seeing the disapproval in her kwamis eyes, the teenage Parisian relents.
"I know. It wouldn't be very superhero like for me to use my own powers for my own benefit."
"Just tell them the truth, Marinette."
"But tomorrow's Heroes Day."
"Remember Marinette. It's Heroes Day. Nothing can go wrong on Heroes Day."
Marinette Dupaine Chen. Age: Unknown though it is estimated she has to be within the common age of those who attend Highschool in Paris. At the time she isn't an adult.
For years before she met her Kwami Tiki Marinette was a very unfortunate girl. Her peers would pick on her and she was ever so clumsy.
"Did your face get rearranged or has it always been that ugly"
Ugh. There was Chloe, that stuck-up daughter of the Mayor. She was the one responsible for most of Marinette's early years of lack of self-esteem.
"Where do you think you're sitting? That's my seat! I'm sitting righting next to my beloved Adrien."
"Excuse me!" A girl with reddish brown interjects
"What do you want?" Chloe demands.
"Just leave me be." Marinette responds despondently.
"Girl. You've gotta learn to stand up for yourself. The only thing evil needs to triumph is for good to do nothing."
"Who's good?"
The girl with reddish brown hair points.
"Oh. I get it."
"My name's Alya Césaire. Want to be friends?"
And with that Marinette found her first friend. Still, it would be a long(?) way to go before she could muster the courage to stand up to Chloe Bourgeois.
"Ugh. See him? Since Chloe likes him so much he must be just as rotten."
Seeing Chloe get all lovey dovey in front of this teenage boy with short blond hair causes Marinette's face to grimace.
"I almost feel like throwing up." Marinette said.
"Really? Me too. Anyone who's a friend of Chloe must be straight up evil as well."
The rest of class carries on as usual.
"Mind if I sit next to you?" The blond boy asks.
"Go sit somewhere else." Marinette spat.
"Oh, okay then." And with the blond boy went over to sit at another table. Chloe waved at him, blowing him a kiss.
Several hours earlier…
A blond teenage boy is studying his Chinese. Next on his agenda is his piano. Feeling locked up, he desires to leave the confines of his room, nay his father's mansion. The door knocks.
"Adrien?"
"Yes? What is it?"
"Your photoshoot begins in 5 minutes. I hope you haven't forgotten."
"Of course not, Nathalie."
Nathalie Sanceour was his father's secretary and assistant. If there was one person Adrien's father listened to the most, it was his assistant.
Some time later…
"Adrien! What are you doing? You know your father's going to be very disappointed."
"Just let me this once Nathalie. You know how my father's like. He keeps me locked up there. Please. Do it for me."
"If you insist." With that Nathalie turns to leave. Adrien closes his eyes with a small smile. It would be the first he got to outside again other than for photoshoots. Just as he is about to head in with all of the rest of the class he sees an old man stumbling to get across the street. Without hesitating he rushes in to carry him across.
"Oh thank you young man. May I have your name?"
"The name's Adrien. Adrien Agreste."
"I see. You are a very nice young man."
"Yeah, well I best be off now. Take care."
"Indeed I will."
The old man smiled as he said to himself.
"Yes. He will make a fine Catnoir."
Several hours later…
"Here." Adrien hands Marinette his umbrella. Slowly a smile begins to form on her face but she quickly hides it away. Later that day Marinette Dupaine Chen would happen upon an Oriental box. There she would meet her Kwami, Tiki. In the same manner Adrien would meet his own as well. Somehow someone had broken in to her room to give her a present. With a fortunate turn of events, instead of being pickpocketed, Adrien found a small gift wrapped for him inside his school bag. Then again, it might've just been his bad luck and that gift was really stolen thus making him complicit in a robbery. At the time, neither of them knew of the man who had planted them there. It wasn't long before they activated their own Miraculous, becoming the superheroes Ladybug and Catnoir. Due to Adrien's kind act, Marinette had developed a crush on him, almost, nay to the point of illegal stalking!
"Remember. As superheroes our secret identities must remain secret, even to one another."
"I got that bugaboo."
"Pay attention Catnoir and stop calling me bugaboo!"
Back at Present Time:
"…"
"…"
"… You can't be serious! Wait. You're telling me the greatest Miraculous superheroes ever were just two love sick Parisian teenagers? Is this some sort of joke Wayzz?"
"It most certainly is not." Wayzz responded.
"You've heard the saying never judge a book by its cover?"
"I have Trixx. I have. Still, what does this have to do with-"
"Because without them, the world would've been lost to ruin." Trixx explained.
With a face of doubt painted on Chijinda scratched his head.
"Come again?"
"Hold on!" The chief interrupted.
"Yes? What is it?"
"You said this Marinette and Adrien person received their own Miraculous. I take it that this man was a member of the Order of the Miraculous?"
"Yes, indeed he was."
"Is he-"
"He is no longer part of the Order. He died due to old age."
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that." The chief said.
"Don't be. Master Wang Fu's memory shall not be forgotten."
Flashback:
"And with this, I do by declare Ladybug the new Guardian of the Miraculous!"
"Master! No!" The remaining kwamis stood in shock as Wang Fu had renounced his title of being the Guardian of the Miraculous. Sometime later Ladybug and Catnoir came up to him to see if he still remembered them.
"I'm afraid this is a lost cause, Ladybug" Wayzz explained. "The transferring of the title of being the Guardian also erases any and all memories pertaining to the Miraculous. This is to protect its secrets."
Present Time:
Tapping his head Chijinda began to speak.
"I'm still not seeing what any of this has to do with us."
Truly, the other humans were perplexed as well.
"I'll admit those heroes must've done quite a lot, but what does this have to do with-"
A sudden realization came upon Narue.
"Hey guys?" Narue began.
"Yes Master, er Narue I mean?" Wayzz asked.
"You said the Miraculous are meant to be used for the betterment of mankind, right? So what was it that those two Parisians were improving upon?"
"Fighting against supervillainy."
"And what would that be?"
Then it clicked.
"Wait. Are you saying those pink butterflies we've been dealing with might be the power of a Miraculous?"
"That's- that's certainly a thought Narue, but we don't even have evidence to support that." The chief pointed out.
"Yeah. I don't think we should be jumping to conclusions just yet."
"But then, why else was my kwami so concerned when he saw that pink butterfly?"
Seeing their curiosity piqued, Wayzz knew what he had to do next.
"You wanted to know why Marinette and Adrien are the greatest of the Miraculous superheroes? Well prepare yourselves for this next part!"
"Oh my. Are you finally going to tell us?"
"Yes, though beware this is not for the faint of heart."
"Bring it. I've heard more stories that would turn a man's stomach inside out with his guts spilling over."
"Very well. Do you recall the fact that Miraculouses can be used for evil?"
"I think I know where you're going with this." The chief said.
"It is about time you heard of him. Of the rogue Miraculous holder."
