Guard dogs

Ren had been dumped on the bed with an oomph that caused her to bounce higher than she expected as Bakugo went to lock his room door. She had landed on her back and did not move or speak from the position he had left her in. She turned to watch him approach her and she frowned at his serious expression, which caused her to lift herself from the bed. But before she could gather herself, she was caged in by strong arms. She stares at the gap between their bodies , nervous to look up and unable to speak. He then leans closer and she squeezes her eyes shut her heart hammering in her chest as she clenches her fists in anticipation. When he leans down on his on his left elbow allowing him to bring his right hand to her chin forcing her to meet his gaze, she slowly opens her eyes to meet two fiery crimson orbs. She holds her breath half in waiting half out of fear her morning breath ruining the moment.

His brow furrow as he scrutinizes her expression as suddenly, he became uncertain. Did she even remember last night? He questioned himself mentally. But no willing to back out now he opens his mouth to speak "Is this still okay?" he asks uncertainty tinting his voice.

His breath smells like mint she thinks appreciative of the gesture but also regretting not doing the same. She nods quickly afraid anything else would ruin the space that had descended between them.

Finally, they both think in relief.

His lips barely grace her own when loud bang crashes through the room, Bakugou determined to reach his goal doesn't stir at the noise even as voices make themselves known behind the door. However, Ren had already jumped out of his grasp her cheeks flushed with embarrassment at the fright she had gotten.

"Ummm , that sounds urgent" she mumbles out as three echoing knocks cause the door to shake almost violently with the force used. Bakugou grunts getting up and stomping his way to the door yanking it back to chase away whoever was behind the door.

Before he can assess the situation, someone pushes pass him and enters him room, to embrace Ren immediately.

Ren struggles a bit as she pushes against Tatsumi "What the hell are you doing here?!" she shouts.

He looks at her likes she has lost her mind.

"Ren?" he questions at her tone unsure of the reason behind her aggression.

Bakugou watches on catching up on who just barged into his room and the familiar face had set him into action as he began walking towards the arguing friends ready to kick the guy out on his ass. Who did he think he was running into other people's private space like that? Ren seeing the approaching Bakugou held out her hand to him to stop him and pleaded with him with her eyes to let her handle this.

"What's wrong with you ? What in that thick skull of yours made it seem okay, not only to track me down but barge into someone else's place?!" Again Tatsumi was almost throw off balance by her tone.

"When is it okay?, When your friend goes out the night and doesn't tell you when and if they are coming home! I called you 15 times this morning just to check on you Ren, and you think I've lost it? His voice increasing in volume and frustration.

Doesn't she understand ? I worry about her , he thought helplessly as he watched her go from pink to red her eyes burning with anger.

"I can look after myself Tatsumi , I'm an adult you don't get to treat me like I'm some teenager that snuck out!"

'When you are who you are , you just can't go around acting so recklessly Ren , you should know better," he says steely ,his teeth clenched together as he watches her facial expressions change from shock to hurt and landed on anger. Bakugo looks between the two as he notes the implication of Tatsumi's words shake Ren.

"I can't believe you ," she lets out quietly ending the conversation as she hurriedly grabs at her things and makes her way to the door where Bakugo is waiting patiently for her.

She looks at him her eyes fill with unshed tears as she tries to collect herself, she breathes out slowly before addressing him.

"I'm so sorry about this , about him, but I need to go home now. I'm so sorry Bakugou , I had a really good time and I wanted that to continue," he slumps slightly at her deflated appearance and eyes the man behind her with suspicion.

" It's okay , I …can understand his concern… are you sure you need to leave now ?" he asks softly trying to sooth the blue haired Zombie. She hugs him before reassuring him and leaves with Tatsumi following suit. Once both visitors had reached the end of the hall , Mina ,Kirishima and Denki poke their heads out and towards Bakugou their questions clearly written all over their faces.

"Bakugou man …. A chick who had a dude ?" Denki questions with a knowing smirk. Bakugou groans at the thought of talking to these people after his morning had been thoroughly ruined.

Ren sits quietly in the passenger seat of her best friends' car , not willing to talk after what he had just done. All the while Tatsumi glances over to her hoping by the time they get to her place she would be less upset with him.
