Bonus Chapter 2
Kenshi was walking with Momo to her parent's house. "Are you sure I'm not underdressed?" Kenshi asked. He looked to Momo who was fully dressed in a black suit and a red tie. "Of course not," Momo said, "I just like to dress flamboyantly." "Well I find it cute," Kenshi said. Momo smiled.
As they reached Momo's house Kenshi was surprised. "Whoa, it's huge!" Kenshi said. Momo giggled to herself. "It's so cute seeing your reactions." The doors opened revealing her parents. "Mother, father!" Momo said as she hugged them.
Mrs. Yaoyorozu smiled. "What a surprise," she said, "How are things with the dorms." "Surprisingly very well," she answered, "Oh, I have a guest with me." Kenshi shyly waved his hand. Mr. Yaoyorozu stepped forward.
"So, you're this 'Jojo' boy that is currently dating my daughter," he said. Kenshi was surprised to see how tall he was compared to him.
"Um yes sir…" Kensi said nervously, sweat trickling down his skin, "M-m-m-my actually name is…. Is Kenshi Jotaro. And I'm dating your daughter…"
"I see," Mr. Yaoyorozu said, "Well then…" Kenshi closed his eyes expecting a punch. But he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. He looked to see Mr. Yaoyorozu smiling. "It's nice to finally meet you young man!" he said. "Hey kid, did you say Jotaro?" he asked again. "Y-yes."
"Hmmmmmmm. Well, even though you are a Jotaro, I highly doubt you're anything like your stubborn father," Mr. Yaoyorozu said, "If anything I'll bet you get more from your mother."
Kenshi sighed in relief. "I guess. Though that's for my friends to decide."
"You're definitely similar to your mom. At least how you've described her to me." Momo told kenshi to which kenshi smiles at her.
"So Jotaro, or would you like me to call you Kenshi?" Momo's dad asked him. "What do you like to do, I mean apart from being a hero and all that?" he asked.
"Well, due to the nature of my quirk, I took a liking to gaming and I am a pro gamer, part of the japan national team for some games. And my mom, my step-dad, my step-brother, and friends at UA, especially Momo," Momo kisses his cheek and he continued.
"They all have supported me, even helping me with strategies and all that. My dad on the other hand, well, I guess you know how he is." Kenshi told Momo's dad. "And I'm fine with either of the names, whatever you're comfortable with."
"Why didn't you'd dad support your career choice?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu asked.
"He finds it to be a waste of time and money, he views the hero business to be a waste of time as well." Kenshi explains. "Had it not been for Mom, I probably would be in some business school against my will."
"Hmmmm. Momo has told me that you suffer from some sort of mental disorder?" he asks Kenshi. "If the topic is a bit sensitive, there's no need to answer. I don't mean to be rude. It's just that Momo has told me a lot about you so I am a bit curious as she usually not the kind to take interest in people and prefers a book over people." "H-h-hey!" Momo protested.
"Oh, that's not much of an issue for me, I don't mind talking about it since it is a part of what I am." Kenshi answered. Momo placed a hand on his and smiled.
"I have high functioning Autism, it's somewhat of a learning disability, and it makes my brain not function the same as others. I was undiagnosed for quite some time while Mom and I lived with my dad. He usually shrugged it off as me just wanting attention and expected me to get over it. After Mom divorced dad and moved me to another school, she noticed my behavior in the first few months and that's when we went to get a check-up."
"If you don't mind the intrusion on your personal life, Kenshi. I think you should try and explain things to your dad. Momo did the same thing when I wasn't agreeing with her dream to be a hero. We had our differences at first but we've reached an agreement of sorts such that momo gets to be a hero and I can rest without worrying about the company once she's 25." he explained, "She's also taken interest in her own agency that could tie into it."
"Trust me sir, I've tried that multiple times, he just doesn't listen. He simply isn't the kind of person who is willing to negotiate." Kenshi told mr. Yaoyorozu.
"Alright, how about me and my wife talk to him. We do come from similar backgrounds and we might be able to get him to see some reason." Mr. Yaoyorozu suggested, "And I was actually classmates with him when I was your age."
"So what is your goal as a pro hero?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu asked.
"It's not something as great as some other people in our class, especially people like Midoriya, but I want to be a hero to show the world that the people who deal with similar disabilities can still do anything they set their mind to. I want to show people that they don't need to let a disability stop them from what they love. It's something I want to do, so they know that there is someone in their corner and is ready to support them, no matter what." Kenshi explains.
"Well, I have to say that is a great goal, kid. Honestly, when I heard you were a Jotaro, I was a little skeptical, mostly because of the history I've had with your father. But now, I know that I can trust you with my daughter." Mr. Yaoyorozu told Kenshi.
"Dear, remember our talk," Momo's mom said, "Speaking of which, what was it that caught your attention about my daughter? Aside from the way she dresses" she motioned to momos suit and tie. Momo blushed. "Mother…." she said.
"Well technically we met in person only a few weeks to a month ago. But we've known each other for about 3 years. We met online during a multiplayer game of Sword Art or SAO as it's usually called. O being the online part of it. And we became friends after our team defeated the boss at the game which actually took a whole month for us to finish. After the game got over, we stayed in touch and kept talking. Though we never shared our personal details online we did tell a lot about each other. She was honestly the first friend I had in almost 8 years."
Momo's parents were surprised to hear this. "But what about real life at school?" asked Mr. Yaoyorozu, "Surely you could have had friends there."
"That's the thing," Kenshi continued, "Most of my schoolmates had strict instructions given to them from my father to not befriend me since it would be and I am quoting him here, 'distracting for my future as the next CEO of our families chain of companies'. I still keep in touch with the other from our team but I wasn't able to connect to them in a similar way as Momo." Kenshi explained.
"So up until now I never had an idea of how she looked till about a month and a half back. Her looks never played a factor in the way i looked at her, not that she doesn't look pretty but for me, it's like an added benefit."
Momo blushed at Kenshi's compliment.
"What caught my attention is how she reached out to me when others would turn away with a cold shoulder. She helped me see the good things in myself and my quirk, and she's been by my side since the day we met in person. She doesn't mind dealing with me and that's enough for me i guess."
Momo smiled. "So you don't mind if she dresses like a man?" Mrs, Yaoyorozu asked jokingly. "I think it's cute," Kenshi answered smiling. Mr. Yaoyorozu patted him on the back. "You're a great person as far as I know Kenshi, but you aren't getting any younger," he said, "Have you ever thought about one day marrying our daughter."
Momo spat out her tea and Kenshi blushed a dark red. "Marriage?!" Kenshi asked, "Well I…. I'm sure that's years away!" Mr. Yaoyorozu laughed and said, "You never know." Later Kenshi and Momo were getting ready to go back to campus.
"Thanks for having me over Mr. and Mrs. Yaoyorozu," Kenshi said as he bowed, "It's an honor to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine Kenshi," Mrs. Yaoyorozu asked, "And please call me Saya." "And call me Makoto," Mr. Yaoyorozu said, "You've earned the right."
They walked back to campus. Kenshi turned to Momo and smiled.
"Your parents are really nice." He turned to Momo. "Momo, what's wrong?" "Well, what my mother said, it brought back a few memories," she said, "I was always flamboyant at a young age, but some guys didn't find it attractive."
She turned to Kenshi. "It really makes me happy that you don't mind it."
Kenshi smiled. "OF course I don't mind," Kenshi said. "I have a few funny stories about crushes, but I don't wanna talk about that now," Momo said, "I wanna think about how warm my heart is right now. She kissed Kenshi on the lips. Someone approached him.
It was a little boy. "Excuse me, are you Mr. Kenshi Jotaro from the sports festival?" he asked. Kenshi bent and smiled.
"Why, yes I am," he said. "You were so cool in the sports fest, especially with that fire guy!" the little boy said, "I'm autistic like you, and seeing you in action made me realize I had a chance. Can I have your autograph?" Kenshi gladly autographed the boy's notebook.
"Let me give you some free advice," he told him, "Don't let anything hold you back, especially your disability hold you back. Embrace it as if it was a part of you." He ruffled the boy's hair. "You do that, and you'll no doubt be a great hero." The boy smiled widely. "Thanks Kenshi!" he said as he ran off to show his friends.
Momo smiled at Kenshi. "Looks like your goal is slowly coming a reality"
"That it is," Kenshi said, "That it is."
