This chapter...this chapter...this chapter was so hard for me to write. Not because I didn't know what to write or I was having a hard time coming up with things, no. I had a hard time writing this because it's the last chapter. Once again, sorry this is late. My updates will probably be even more inconsistent once I start school next week. Not like I'll be updating this fanfic…*starts tearing up* Sorry, sorry. But you guys have no idea how much you've helped my self-esteem and courage. I would especially like to thank TunderNad24, for being so helpful in so many ways, PlipplopPlipplop, for showing me that anyone can inspire people if they try, PERCABETHISDABEST, for introducing me to back in...was that June…? I don't know, anyway, I would also like to thank Zebra Wuz Here, Aelin-Annabeth2682, tallshadow72, GreenCrystal19, Tempest's Rain, louloudunleavy123, and HateIsRealAndItIsMe for inspiring me to write this, because even if you didn't even know I existed you helped me get out my computer and start working on the next chapter.
Wow. That sounds like a Grammy's acceptance speech or something like that. Sorry, I just really needed to thank those people. And now, for the last time, here are the responses to reviews:
Poucheene: Well, good for you, after this chapter you won't have to worry about my cliffhangers. Unless you read my other fanfics *wink wink*.
TunderNad24: I might have already responded to this review but congrats on getting an account! Do you think you'll be writing anything?
Truth
Hermione's POV
As the candles flickered to life again, Hermione gasped. There was an entire stage in the middle of the room. And standing on it, microphone in hand, was Leo Valdez.
People all across the Great Hall started whispering to each other and pointing at the stage. When she looked closer, Hermione noticed the people standing behind Leo.
Annabeth, Sam, Alex, Thalia, Calypso, all of the missing students, and a girl in a purple cape that Hermione didn't recognize.
Leo cleared his throat, looking to Calypso for support. If Hermione remembered correctly, they were dating.
"So...hi," He said. The Great Hall quieted down until Hermione could hear the wind outside.
"I'm Leo," Leo continued. "And before you ask, no, I was not kidnapped by a princess from a forign kingdom because of my notorious handsomeness."
The whispers started again.
"Anyway," Alex said, glaring at Leo. "The students you thought were missing are not missing. Actually, we're not even technically wizards,"
"Alex!" Magnus yelled from their table.
"Annabeth, Percy, Piper, Jason, Leo, Hazel, Frank, Thalia, Sam, Magnus, Nico, Will, and me are demigods."
People stared at them, confused, shocked, and disbelieving.
"Carter, Sadie, Walt, and Zia are magicians."
"Like, the muggle ones with bunnies and stuff?" Someone asked.
"Me and Magnus are dead."
At this point everyone was either rolling on the floor, laughing their heads off or just sitting in silence not moving at all.
"Sam brought us to Valhalla, where we now live and are technically immortal there until the end of the world."
Hermione noticed a few of the Hufflepuff's fainting.
"Walt is actually supposed to be dead but he is now hosting the Egyptian God of Death so he's good."
The exchange students who weren't on stage looked mortified.
"Thalia is immortal unless she dies in battle and if you ask her out she will kill you."
Ron spit out his soup.
"Blitzen and Hearth aren't even human but-wait, where are they?"
Something large bumped into a window and two people came crashing through.
One of them made some gesture with his hands that Hermione didn't understand but the other person clearly did because he said 'Well how was I supposed to know that Stanley couldn't get into Hogwarts?'
"Oh hey guys!" Alex said. "Anyway, me, Sam, and Frank can shapeshift-"
Annabeth grabbed the mic out of Alex's hands.
"Okay," Annabeth said. "Um...we were going to do that a little slower and maybe with some more evidence but uh...yeah! We're demigods!"
"What is going on…?" Someone yelled.
"To be completely honest, I have no idea," Annabeth said. "I was only brought into this to help plan some things. Reyna, Thalia, and Calypso could probably explain it better then me."
"So," Thalia said into her mic. "A few months back, like, right before we left for Hogwarts, me and Calypso were visited by the Greek Goddess Hecate. Now, before I say anything else, I need to say that yes, Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian gods, monsters, and other beings are real. I myself am a daughter of Zeus and Huntress of Artemis. Anyway, Hecate told us to meet her at night after we had arrived at the place we were staying and to contact Reyna, a leader of one of the camps for demigods, and tell her what Hecate told us. We also got Sam and Alex involved, and Carter, Sadie, Zia, and Walt helped us a little but they didn't know our whole plan. Eventually, we figured out that the students we thought were demigods, oh yeah I forget to tell you that before, we thought Hermione, Fred, and George were demigods. So, we found out that they were actually either descendants of the gods or just blessed by them. It's a long story. Hecate also manipulated some people's dreams so there was also that. She even sent us messages in random things like empty bags of marshmallows."
"Well look what you've done!" Percy said, motioning to the rest of the hall. "You broke them!"
The hall was completely silent. No one was moving. At all.
"All of the missing students helped us with Hecate's plan," Calypso said, continuing Thalia's story. "They are also all descended from the gods or just blessed by them. Hecate and Chiron only sent us here to try and bring wizards and demigods together. Chiron is our camp director by the way. Also, maybe we're just terrible liars but somehow Fred, George, and Hermione all found out that we were demigods just a little while ago. You don't have to believe us but I swear on the River Styx that we are telling the truth."
Thunder rolled menacingly. The students looked around nervously.
"Well," Dumbledore said, he had probably known about this all along. "If that's all, I believe a party is in order. It is Halloween after all."
He waved his wand and Halloween decorations filled the room.
Slowly, the students unfroze as food filled the tables.
Will's POV
As Will ate his dinner, he thought about the events of the evening. There was still so much left unsaid. So much left that they didn't know. So much left that people were hiding. But he wouldn't face it alone.
He had Nico. And the rest of Camp Half-Blood. And Camp Jupiter. And now the Norse demigods, Egyptian magicians, and witches and wizards of Hogwarts.
He turned toward Nico and smiled.
"Why are you smiling?" Nico asked.
"No reason," Will said. "Just thinking about how even though we now know that the missing students weren't really missing, we still know so little."
"Are you saying that you don't know anything? Because I'm pretty sure that you just insulted yourself." Leo said from across the table.
Will ignored him,
"I know what you mean," Nico said. "I also know that this isn't the end for us. There's still more to come."
"Well of course," Will said. "Actually, I'll bet you 10 drachmas that there's a horde of Cyclops's outside the hall just waiting for us to step out so that they can fly us alive or something."
"Deal," Nico said.
An hour and a half later, Will was 10 drachmas richer. There had in fact been a horde of Cyclops's outside the hall waiting to kill them and he was 99.9% sure that they were only there because he had said they would be there. The Fates had a weird sense of humor.
The witches and wizards looked a little shocked to see just how many weapons the demigods carried with them but didn't question them. Probably because of all those weapons the demigods carried with them.
Will could tell they all had questions and were dying to ask them, but that would have to wait until the morning.
For now, at least, they were safe.
Once again, I am very sorry that I took so long to update. I just started school and it's a little chaotic. Also, I had to completely rewrite the entire second half of this chapter. It might not be the ending you hoped or expected but I've had the idea for this chapter for months now. I have an idea for a backstory for this fanfic that I'll probably be putting in Chapter 1 sometime later tonight or tomorrow. Thank you for reading, and, for the last time, here is the headcanon of the chapter:
Jason: Who do you three think you are?
Percy: I'm Gorgeous.
Carter: I'm Drop.
Magnus: And I'm Dead.
Percy: Together, we make the ultimate trio!
Carter: But separate we-
Magnus: I'm still dead, Carter has dropped to the floor crying, and Percy is still gorgeous.
Jason: ...do...do you need a hug?
