Hi guys. Just a little warning that there might be some mild violence and some flashbacks with character deaths in this chapter and the next. (Flashbacks in italics.) Thanks for reading this far and I hope you keep reading. :)
Macavity spoke too soon. Before the lair knew it, a flash of orange, white and brown fur came before their eyes. The flash then ran around Macavity, with Macavity trying to swipe at it as it went by his face. The flash then stopped and the flash became the shape of Carbucketty. The kittens smiled as soon as they saw him with Victoria smiling the most. Carbucketty then started to walk towards Macavity.
"Careful Carbucketty." Misto whispered towards the young cat.
"Don't even worry about it." Carbucketty replied.
Misto smiled towards his friend. Carbucketty continued to walk towards Macavity and his henchmen that had now joined them. Carbucketty looked them up and down before turning back to the kittens, winked and ran out of the room followed by Macavity and his henchmen.
Misto stayed on edge watching towards where they went, waiting for Macavity to come back. Victoria was shaking again as she kept thinking about Carbucketty. I mean it was cute that he saved them but she was very scared for him. Jemima and Exotica just stayed together wondering what was going to do down.

"Come back here!" Macavity shouted after Carbucketty.
"Try and stop me!" Carbucketty shouted back.
Macavity wasn't as fast as the young cat but was more agile, jumping off of walls to get closer to Carbucketty. As Carbucketty didn't know the lair as well as his capturs did, this put him at a disadvantage but he knew he had to keep running to give the second part of the plan safe. Macavity waved his henchmen on to go around the sides to try and cut Carbucketty off.
"Not going to get me." Carbucketty said, still running.
"Don't hold your breath young cat." Macavity shouted a little out of breath.
"Out of breath Macavity?" Carbucketty laughed.
"Not on your nelly."
Carbucketty continued to laugh. He was a little bit too cocky however. His henchmen had got around to the other side of the lair where they had been running. Carbucketty looked to the front of him and saw the henchmen. He was trapped, whichever way he went he wasn't going to get away.
"Oh no." Carbucketty whispered.
"Got you now." Macavity whispered under his breath.
Carbcuketty knew he wouldn't be able to run any further so stopped in his tracks. He let the henchmen catch him. Macavity soon caught up with them and laughed when he saw them.
"So much for your big plan!" Macavity laughed.
"Yeah right." Carbucketty smiled.
"What?!"
"You really think I would come alone?" Carbucketty laughed.

The kittens heard another crash from above. Misto put the others behind him and the others didn't disagree this time. Another flash of fur came down this time silver. All of the kittens knew who this was.
"Dad!" Jemima called as Munkustrap came into view.
"Thank God you're all okay." Munkustrap whispered as he picked up the kittens in his arms.
The kittens snuggled into Munkustraps arms. It was good to feel somewhat safe again. They didn't feel safe for very long however, as Macavity came back around the corner.
"Aw what a cute family." Macavity laughed as he saw Munkustrap.
Munkustrap put the kittens down. The kittens gathered together again hoping they would soon be out of the lair for good.
"Stay away from them Macavity!" Munkustrap hissed as he got lower to the ground in an attack position.
Macavity also got into an attack position ready for a fight with his brother. Munkustrap was heavily breathing thanks to all the jumping and he had to do.
"Looking well brother." Macavity said with a smirk.
"Why? Why did you take them?"
"You know. As Misto belongs here, I had to take him. As the other kittens wouldn't move I kind of had to take them as well."
"No he doesn't."
"Why don't you tell him where you really come from then?"
"What?"
"If you're so sure that he belongs at the junkyard, then tell him where he came from."
Munkustrap looked over at Misto. Misto looked at him with big wide eyes. Munkustrap sighed, he had to tell Misto. He wouldn't come back to the junkyard if he didn't tell him.
"Misto…" Munkustrap started.
"I already know. My mum felt like she couldn't stay here any longer."
"I don't exactly know why."
"Yes you do." Macavity spoke up.
"Macavity!" Munkustrap hissed.
"She left because she didn't feel like she was safe here because of the tribe." Macavity tried to convince Misto.
"Is that true?" Misto asked Munkustrap.
"No it's not. She didn't feel safe being around you Macavity."
"How do you know?" Macavity smirked.
"Because she came to me before she left here."

Munkustrap was sitting in the junkyard on his perch. He was resting his eyes, getting away from protecting the tribe. He didn't want anyone to interrupt his rest. That wasn't going to happen though.
"Munkustrap are you there?" A quiet voice came.
Munkustraps ear perked up. He opened his eyes to see who it was. Marybelle came into view. Munkustrap knew of Marybelle from other cats around London. He also knew that she hung around with Macavity.
"What do you want?" Munkustrap said, straightening his back.
"I've heard so much about you." Marybelle said as she stepped into the light.
"Mostly bad I guess."
"Yeah."
"Well…"
"I'm pregnant."
Munkustrap ears picked up again.
"It's his isn't it?" Munkustrap asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yes. It's Macavitys."
Munkustrap sighed. This was the worst case scenario. Macavity having a kitten was bad news for the tribe and most of the cats around London.
"What do you want me to do about it?"
"I need somewhere for the kitten to go. I can't keep him around Macavity." Marybelle said with a lump coming to her throat.
Munkustrap could tell she was going to cry. He knew what she was going to say, could he take in another kitten though.
"You want me to take it don't you?"
"I know you guys accept anyone. I need somewhere like that."
"I'll have to think about it."
"Munkustrap please."
"I'll think about it."
Marybelle looked behind her.
"Okay. Thank you." She said cuddling Munkustrap and then she jumped down out of the junkyard to leave Munkustrap to his decision.

"That's not true!" Macavity hissed.
"He's your kitten." Munkustrap hissed back.
"Yes. that bit is true."
"Marybelle was scared of you. She needed to leave."
"Fine."
Macavity turned to Misto but was still angry at Munkustrap.
"He has magic you know?" Macavity sighed in Munkustraps' direction.
"I know."
"Why didn't you tell him?"
"It was dangerous!"
"You have no proof magic is dangerous!"
"Really? What about dad?" Munkustrap cried.
The whole lair looked in Munkustraps or Macavity's direction. They didn't know what Munkustrap meant but whatever it was, it was very bad.
