Nightwing found himself between a rock and a hard place. Trigon was standing overhead in having complete confidence that this little battle has ended. While Raven stands just across from him both looking down at their enemies. When the Titans started searching for Raven they were under the assumption that she was in trouble and trap. Now that they finally found her they find out that her father had brainwashed her. She was not just daddy's little girl in words but deeds.
"Nightwing what are we going to do. We can't just sit here waiting for them to finish us off. I can't believe she looks just like him red face and third eye and all."
Nightwing knew Beast Boy was right, even though they still had one thing going for them, but he didn't want to spoil the surprise by telling anyone. They had just one chance and he had to make it count. He thanks Bruce again silently for teaching him to always be prepared that you never know what you are going to come up against on a case.
"Children you are boring me. I thought you could at least put up a bigger fight."
"Trigon we are not done yet if you are so all-powerful in this realm while are we still alive? Why do you have Raven doing all the fighting while you stand back?"
"You insolent child."
"I might be a child to someone that has live hundreds of years, but I do know what I'm talking about. Why don't you attack us and leave Raven out of it? Because we held back on her because she was our friend. We would assault and defeat."
Trigon laughter could be heard across the lands as the mountain themselves shake from the sound of his voice.
"Very well children, I believe you have a saying on your planet. I will give you the first punch."
The other Titans had recovered from Raven's initial attack and launch toward Trigon's position. Before they could reach him he wipes them out with a quick swing of his backhand.
"Really children. Is that all you can do."
"Trigon you were right we can't defeat you and you just prove that we can't even touch you."
"Finally you admit your to your better?"
"No, but while you focused on us, you didn't notice Kid Flash give something to Raven."
Trigon turns and sees his daughter Raven was no longer under his control, her face no longer house a third eye and her face no longer was red. She had a yellow aura all around her body as her soul-self emerges from her body, normally it's ebony and dark as night. This time it is yellow as bright as the sun as she engulfs her father's entire body in her soul-self.
The Titans look on almost blinded by the light as father and daughter do battle. The father a demon from a dark world and his daughter a creation of hope and life. In the end, there was no doubt about the outcome. Trigon is expelled from Raven's soul-self down to the ground. When his body hits the very mountains themselves crumble from the force of the impact, burying the former master of this dimension.
The Titans look at Raven as she lowers herself down to the ground, no longer shining bright. She removes her hood and the Titans all rush over to hug her."
"My friends you know how I feel about emotions, but I think this one time I will allow myself."
"Nightwing what did you do?"
"While big daddy Trigon was focus on us I had Kid Flash place the rings of Athens on Raven's hands. The rings have anti-magic properties and they can counter react any spell. Including's Trigon spell over Raven. I made a stop at the Batcave before we started our trip."
"The junior detective to the end."
The friends laugh and celebrated until Donna tells them it was time to leave the dark dimension. No one knew what other surprises that Trigon might have left behind. When they return to the island and board their plane. Raven is still the center of everyone's attention.
"My friends before we go, I'm no good with words but I want to thank you. It could not have been easy finding me and then helping to break my father's spell that he had over me. Please forgive me for hurting you and placing all of you in jeopardy."
"Friend Raven you have nothing to apologize for. The Titans are family and we always look out for one another."
