AN: Quite a few questions here, so let's answer them now, but first, thank you all for 100 favorites! It really does mean a lot to me that you all like my story that much!

jikker jack: Okay I can see how that scene might not have been adequately explained, since it was from All Might's POV. When Izuku fell, he protected his head with the rest of his body, which is why his limbs were shattered, but his head still was cracked, which wasn't quite enough for him to lose consciousness. When he spoke and it sounded like it came from three separate voices, that's because the part of him he uses for voice was cracked into three parts, which he then fixed when he heard his voice.

tiguylerobot: Who said that Inko knew who Momo was? She was flipping through the notebook for a reason~

dragonightmare: While yes I do agree that All Might will definitely have need to talk to Izuku about everything, when it comes to All Might's successor, in this story it's... a bit less important. I'd like to think of this story as more of one of Izuku pushing himself to become the best hero he can, using his own power, however limiting it may be, and less of a story about All Might and his legacy.

When Izuku first woke up again, it was to the gentle light of a sun lamp overhead. It took him a moment to realize he was in the nurse's office, where he had brought Momo only a couple days prior. Then, remembering the damage he had sustained before he blacked out, he pulled his hospital gown to see that the hole in his chest had been filled with a cloudy black crystal, that was already spread much farther than the original hole.

At that moment, Recovery Girl pulled aside the curtain, having heard him move, he supposed.

"Oh good, you're finally awake." What did she mean finally? Sensing his question, she added, "You've been asleep for two days."

...Two days? His mom was probably worried sick. He hopped out of the bed, despite Recovery Girl telling him he needed more rest, because he could tell he didn't. He felt completely fine, probably due to his physiology being so different from the norm.

He called his mom, who was ecstatic to hear his voice again, and assured him she'd immediately rush over to get him, and in the meantime he put his uniform back on so he wouldn't leave in the gown.

Noticing something in the corner of the room, he extended his hand, and the black sword he had used during the attack flew to his hand, where it belonged. He'd have to ask Momo for help with a sheathe for it later, because he could tell it wasn't going to let him leave it in a locker or something.

Soon after Izuku was almost tackled to the ground by his frantic mother, before thanking Recovery Girl for her help and heading back home. On the way home, Izuku thought he should thank his mother for her part in saving him.

"Thank you for bringing them the notebooks so they could give me the new material, mom!" He said, rapping on the new crystal in his chest.

"I actually had them do the ones you had planned for your head as well, since I trust you won't be damaging that again?" Izuku nodded frantically, he had no intention of getting this damaged again any time soon.

The next day, he head back to school, as usual. He reassured his mother that he was fine, and that they wouldn't get attacked again this soon after beating the villains a few days prior. As soon as he entered the classroom he was mobbed by his classmates who were all at varying levels of excited to see him again, Kacchan, of course, didn't show the fact that he had ever been worried, while on the opposite side of the spectrum, Momo and Mashirao seemed particularly happy to see him back again.

He meant to try to go ask Momo what all had happened the last couple days, but at that moment Aizawa came into the room, bandaged from head to toe and looking decidedly like he had just escaped a hospital, causing everyone to run to their seats and quiet down.

"Midoriya. You've been gone, so you missed the announcement. The Sports Festival is three weeks away. Make sure you're prepared." Seemingly satisfied with the information given, he began homeroom for the day.

As Izuku finished with his regular classes and headed to lunch, All Might asked him to come with him for lunch in his office, saying he had something to talk about. Once they had both entered, All Might began.

"Midoriya... I have failed you twice now. First, when I told you you couldn't be a hero. I was woefully incorrect, and you proved that to me the very day I said it when you rescued Bakugo from that villain."

"The second time was during that attack. You all needed me, but I wasn't there, and when I finally arrived, it was too late to save you. I'm truly sorry that I couldn't have been there sooner." Izuku began to open his mouth, but All Might began to speak once more, so he let him finish his thought first.

"Now I have an offer for you, but first I have to show you something that cannot leave this room, do you understand?" Izuku nodded, and All Might took a preparatory breath, and... deflated.

After Izuku's initial shock, All Might explained, about his injury, his time limit on how long he could be a hero, and how that had affected him being there at the USJ, and finally how his power was one that could be transferred.

"Izuku, I'd like to offer my power to you, to have you become my successor as the Symbol of Peace. All you need to do is eat this," he said, pulling a hair from his head and proffering it to Izuku.

"Im sorry All Might but... I can't accept that offer. I got here on my own merits, through my own power, and having more handed to me on a silver platter... just doesn't feel right." All Might seemed upset that he hadn't accepted, but understood why, although Izuku wasn't finished. "Plus, I assume from the hair that it's transference is DNA based? Because if so then I doubly couldn't take your power. I don't have any DNA that isn't contained within indigestible materials, so the legacy of your power would end with me."

"I understand, Midoriya. Of course I do still need you to keep everything we talked about here a secret, okay?"

"Of course!"

After school he finally managed to catch up with Momo, who immediately started apologizing profusely for not helping him during the attack, which he quickly countered, since he'd much rather he get hurt than her, or any of their other classmates either.

"Momo, what I came here to ask you was if you could help me with the sword you made for me. I... can't just keep carrying it around in my hand, but it refuses to stay anywhere other than with me. Could you... help me with a sheathe for it? Just something simple, you don't need to wear yourself out on it." Momo nodded quickly, seemingly happy to be of help, and the glow on her arm began.

When she was done, she handed him a plain, white sheathe with two straps for him to hang it from his belt.

"Thank you Momo! You're the best!" Izuku exclaimed, giving her a quick hug before saying their goodbyes, as Momo got into the car to drive her home. Izuku walked away, back towards the school, rather than towards the bus station to head home. He had business with the principal, after all.
