We stood in front of the Black Gate of Mordor. It was huge.
"Where are they?" Pippin asked. He was sitting in front of Gandalf. Aragorn leads us as Legolas, Eomer, Gandalf, and I run our horses up to the Gate. We come to a stop.
"Let the Lord of the Black Land come forth! Let justice be done upon him!" Aragorn said. Nothing was happening.
"No one is coming?" Merry asked.
"Not sure." I said. The black Gate begins to open. A dark rider on a dark armor covered horse approaches us.
"My master, Sauron the Great, bids thee welcome." Mouth of Sauron said. He gives a toothy grin. Aragorn returns a mocking look at him. "Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me?"
"We do not come to treat with Sauron, faithless and accursed." Gandalf said. The Mouth of Sauron let's out a snarl. I share a look with Eomer. "The armies of Mordor must disband. He is to depart these lands, never to return." The Mouth of Sauron sneers.
"Old Greybeard. I have a tolken I was bidden to show thee." The Mouth said. He holds up a mithril coat.
"Frodo." Pippin said. The Mouth tosses it to Gandalf. "Frodo!" Pippin looked scared.
"Silence." Gandalf said.
"No!" Merry said.
"Sshh." I said. I felt Merry's hold tighten. I felt bad for the Hobbits.
"The Halfling was dear to thee. I see. Know that he suffered greatly at the hands of his host. Who would've thought one so small could endure so much pain? And he did Gadalf. He did." The Mouth said. Aragorn moves his horse forward. "And who is this?! Isildur's heir? It takes more to make a king than a broken Elvish blade." Aragorn pulls his sword out and cuts off the Mouth's head.
"I guess taht concludes negotiations." Gimli said. Aragorn rode back to us.
"I do not believe it. I will not." Aragorn said. A fierce look was on his face. Gandalf nods in agreement.
"This isn't over." I said. Eomer nodded. The black gates swung open and I gasp. Legions of orc were marching towards us. We turn our horses and quickly rode back to the soldiers of Gondor and Rohan.
"Hold your ground! Hold your ground!" Aragorn said. We spun our horses back to face the approaching orc. Aragorn turns to face the men. "Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we foresake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down. But it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth." I closed my eyes. I was fighting for my family and friends in Erebor to save them from the wrath of Sauron. I looked at Eomer and saw him watching me. I give him a smile and he returns it. "I bid you stand. Men of the West!" The men draw their swords and Aragorn turns to face the approaching army. We let our horses go as the orcs start to surround us from all over. I stood at Eomer's side.
"Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an Elf." Gimli said. I roll my eyes at Gimli.
"What about side by side with a friend?" Legolas said. Gimli looked at Legolas.
"Aye. I could do that." Gimli said. Eomer gently took my hand. I looked up at him.
"If we make it through this and when I get your father's approval. Will you marry me and rule at my side? I wouldn't be able to do this without you." Eomer said. I smile at him.
"I would be honored." I said. Eomer kissed my forehead. I had a reason to survive. The orcs surround us from every side. Aragorn stood holding holding his sword as we stood facing the Black Gate. I could see Sauron's eye on his tower in the distance. Aragorn steps forward as if Sauron was calling him. He turns to us. Gandalf waves at him. Tears were seen in Aragorn's eyes.
"For Frodo!" Aragorn said. He runs towards the orcs. Merry and Pippin went running after him. I pull out my sword as we ran after him. Legolas shoots an arrow as we ran towards the orcs. We collide and start fighting the orcs. The final battle had started.
AN: And I'll end it there. There is more coming. Till next time
