Klaus was back in his body, Alaric was free and Katherine and Sabrina we're stuck in an apartment that was in dire need of a wider colour palette.
Klaus and Sabrina exchanged little to no words while he was posing as Alaric, even fewer now that he was back as his original self. She couldn't possibly be leverage and to the best of her knowledge she didn't do anything that would warrant her being trapped behind the apartment door. She didn't question it, she was still alive and was thankful for that.
She'd become quieter than she was a day ago, the constant requirement to push back worry and overthinking was taking its toll and right now pouring the last remains of the brewed coffee was the only thing that felt similar.
Putting the pot down she looked down at Katherine. She Pulled out an empty blood bag from the fridge she threw it over her shoulder and began looking for a new one. Katherine stopped when she felt Sabrina's eyes on her.
"What?" Sabrina raised a brow before drinking for her mug, not answering the vampire. "We all can't survive on coffee like you, plus I don't think you'd want me to drink you blood." Sabrina light shook her head at the sass from the other girl.
Katherine's head turned as the sound of the door unlocking. Vampire speeding over just in time to see Alaric push it open. He leaned against the door frame with is arms crossed as Katherine looked at him. "Look who's dumb enough to come back."
He didn't get a chance to retort her as Sabrina came running and wrapped her arms around him, his arms uncrossing as he tilted back a bit from the sudden impact.
His arms wrapped around her. "Hey 'Brina."
"How's Jenna?" It came out muffled as she spoke into his jacket.
She felt Alaric take in a deep breath. "We had to tell her everything. She's...processing."
They slowly pulled apart as Sabrina dreaded asking the next thing but the desire to know took over. "And Elijah?"
"He said he knows Klaus well enough to know he won't kill you. He also said you're smart enough to keep yourself alive," he reassured. "I'm pretty sure I saw some emotion come out from his cold exterior when he said it." It warranted a weak smile as Sabrina wiped away a tear that was resting on her cheek.
A cough from behind Alaric broke the moment.
"Oh yeah," Alaric stepped aside as Damon emerged from the hallway of the apartment. "Damon. Would you like to, uh, come in?"
Just as both feet stepped in Katherine sped over to him, the momentum gave him a little push. "Are you trying to get me killed?"
Using his own vampire abilities Damon pushed Katherine against a wall further in the apartment. "I gave you vervain, now I'm here to collect. I got it from here, Ric."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back in the house. Keep Elena from handing herself over," he called out to the hunter.
He nodded taking a step into the apartment. Facing Sabrina he put one hand around her, giving a little hug and a peck on the forehead before heading out.
"Get blamed for what?" Katherine asked as Damon released her.
"I need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf."
"Why? What are you going to do?"
"Dead werewolf equals no ritual."
"No. You can't interfere, Damon. Klaus will kill you and everyone you've ever met." The door finally shut .The two of them continued their back and forth, Sabrina walked back to the kitchen and continued sipping her coffee.
"I just need to delay this thing."
"No. No way."
"You should like this. It's going to buy another month of your pathetic life." Damon told her as she walked around to the table.
"Right. Except that I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing."
"What?"
"Yeah. He's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. Therefore, I'm in the clear." that perked Sabrina's interest. She lowered her coffee, resting it back on the countertop
"And where'd he get that idea from?" Damon was slowly becoming irritated.
"Katherine." Sabrina didn't know if she sounded disappointed or shocked.
Both Sabrina and Damon began making their way towards her as she slowly backed up.
"Hey! Hey, hey, hey," she held her hands up in innocent, "I'm just trying to stay alive long enough to get myself out of here."
Damon deeply exhaled trying to calm himself. "What if I told you Elena had vampire blood in her system?"
"What?!" Katherine exclaimed.
"Out of all the idiotic things you could have done, Damon," Sabrina sighed. Damon always knew how to one up his stupid behaviour.
"It was an in the moment thing," he defended before looking back at Katherine. "Imagine how much fun that will be competing with Elena for Stefan's love for, I don't know, forever."
"The tomb. He's got them in the tomb." She relented.
Damon nodded the new piece of information. He then looked in Sabrina's direction "So, getting me out?" she led on the conversation.
"Working on it. Might have to actually kill the witch guy."
"You have my permission."
He walked to the door and opened it before walking out he turned to Katherine. "Thank you."

Sabrina watched Katherine pour two cups of coffee, one for self and one for Sabrina. Standing on the other side of the counter she took the cup that Katherine prepared for her. She stopped pouring her own as the door opened and Klaus walked in. Both girls turned around and looked at him as his eyes wondered around the room.
His manner taught Sabrina to be cautious around him. It seemed like a common occurrence that Klaus seemed to know when something was off and every time it happened a little bit of fear settled in her.
Katherine didn't seem too bothered, as she continued with her mundane task of pouring coffee. "Everything okay?"
"What have you been doing?" he asked back.
"Making coffee. Do you want some?" Just as her question ended he sped over to her. Grabbing her by the neck he looked into her eyes as he compelled her.
"Tell me what you've been doing."
"Making coffee." It came out slightly croaky as she struggled from his hold.
Looking at her attentively for a few moments he proceeded to let her go. Katherine held her neck and gasped as she turned around in hopes of walking away only to be stopped by Klaus' voice.
"Wait." She turned around slowly. "Take off your bracelet."
Sabrina shifted in her seat as she watched the two interact opposite her.
Katherine did as she was instructed, keeping up the compelled act. She looking over at Sabrina's expression of uneasiness while handing the piece of jewellery to Klaus.
"Now, I want you to walk over to the window and stand in the sunlight."
The command received more of a response from Sabrina that it did Katherine. "She'll burn."
"She doesn't have a choice," he said as a matter of fact.
Katherine hesitated before walking over to the window. Content as Katherine follow out his command, Klaus picked up the coffee cup she left on the countertop.
Sabrina clenched her jaw watching sunlight hit Katherine's face burning immediately as the girl screamed. "Klaus." It was quieter than she'd hope and it didn't get his attention.
The burns on her face began to spread and the yells of agony continued as Klaus put down the coffee mug as the signs of an amusement registered on his face.
"Klaus," she tried again, successful this time as he looked over to her with a small smile. "Stop this." It was the most she'd said to him. "Please."
His smile grew before he turned to Katherine.
"That's enough."
She quickly backed into the corner away from the sunlight.
"Hmm. Guess I was wrong." He hummed looking at Sabrina once again. Sabrina's eyes were on Katherine who was breathing heavily as her skin began to heal.
"Now I know I can't compel you so I'm going to ask nicely." She turned from Katherine as he addressed her. "Go into that room for me and don't come out till I say so," he told her pointing to one of the few rooms with an actual door.
"Why?"
"Because I don't need you hearing this next bit."
"Why?" A day ago she would have questioned him but she knew she was reaching her breaking point and what he made her witness brought her closer to it.
"Your interference would just be a nuisance."
She made no indication to move. He leaned in closer as his eyes darkened. "We wouldn't want Elijah you find you lying dead on the floor now would we?"
The breaking point was being held on by a thin tether. what he said enough for her to oblige. Taking the coffee cup with her as she walking around him and headed into the room as instructed.
