Hey,

Hope you enjoy this new chapter,

Just a reminder, I will be changing POV in this chapter, to help get the sense of the stress and terror during the fighting, from each person's POV, and who they think to protect and what weapon they're using.

Hope you enjoy!

"At last! What took so long?" Mantis groaned.

"None of your business." Snapped Susan, as she noticed Viper and Crane's saddened features. "You alright?" she asked Viper kindly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Viper replied, fixing up her Lotus buds with her tail.

"Good,"

"Weapons ready," Spirit Yin called, breaking up the conversation, raising her sword.

Everyone immediately raised their own weapons and Yin threw open a hatch on the roof of the room.

Cautiously, she hauled herself out.

Spirit Yin's POV

I glanced around, my hands gripping my sword tightly, its cold silver hilt pressed to my skin.

It appeared we'd come out at the edge of a forest. Behind us was the forest, dark and unforgiving, while ahead was a plain of long yellowing grass and right at the end I could just about make out a crowd of creatures and the looming shadows of cannons.

They were all facing ahead, their backs to us. Completely unaware of our close presence.

"Ready?" Po appeared beside me, pulling up his brown pyjama shorts and twirling his staff around his body.

"Yes, now remember we can't let them see us until we are right behind them, otherwise." I stopped to raise my sword higher and draw breath. "Everything could go wrong."

"Ohhhh stealth mode!" Po chuckled, rubbing his paws together eagerly while all the other warriors groaned.

"Don't get him started." Whispered Monkey.

"If worst comes to worst, retreat to this room ok?" I asked rhetorically.

"Ok." Everyone agreed.

"Good, then let's go."

At once we began creeping across the yellow marsh, keeping low so we weren't seen behind the long grass.

"Did anyone else realise we're doing this in our pyjamas?" Monkey hissed after a couple of minutes creeping.

"I don't think An Ling will care." Viper rolled her eyes, though she was slightly smiling.

We were approaching the cannons now, we could see them, large as life, all steel and iron.

Pottering around them were a huge selection of Ghost snakes. Colours of dark green, metallic silver, bright gold and deep marron, they slithered around the cannons, lighting them with ease, shouting to each other. All of their backs facing us as they continued to aim the cannons at my palace.

The palace itself was completely wrecked, the room at the very top's front wall was completely destroyed, pieces of wood and bricks raining down into the moat.

"Ok, we're close enough on my signal." I whispered, licking my lips and gripping my sword tighter still.

And I clicked my fingers.

Crane's POV

At once I leapt into the air and barrelled towards the crowds of snakes, it only took them a minute to notice I was there.

"We're under attack, they're coming from behind!" one of them, a thin silvery breed, cried.

Snakes from everywhere started slunking around us, some began attacking while others started turning the cannons around to face us.

The silvery snake immediately started coming towards me, but I was ready.

I ducked and weaved as it aimed its long malicious fangs at my body, slithering and slunking around me.

It hissed and lashed its tail threateningly, aiming another attack but I flew into the air to escape.

"Fangs remember Crane." Tigress growled as she jumped on top of one of the canons and kicked it into the air, kicking it apart as it fell down.

"I know."

I flew into the air again, this time landing on another one of the canons and throwing it in the air to destroy it like Tigress did.

I didn't have any weapons to fight but I could get rid of the canons.

I was just about to kick another cannon into the air like Tigress did when I felt my claws slip on something and I fell face-forward into the bloody earth.

Monkey's POV

I jumped right into action at Yin's signal, twirling the Bo staff around myself both for defence and offence against the oncoming creatures.

Three catapulted towards me but I spun the staff around, smashing it into their fangs as I went, knocking them all out at once.

It soon noticed that as you destroy their fangs, the ghost disappear, and the three that had surrounded me mere seconds ago, had completely vanished.

Six more came towards me, and I ducked and weaved to avoid their attacks, spinning the Bo staff out in front of me, with my eyes tightly closed, hoping it hit one of them.

Then I felt a searing pain envelop my shoulder and I felt o the floor grasping it.

"Monkey are you alright?!" Po's voice yelled.

My vison was blurred so, I couldn't make out the shapes of the creatures but I felt my un-injured hand across my other arm and felt it clasp around a dagger's hilt.

They could also carry weapons; this day just gets better and better.

I yanked the dagger out of my arm, my face contorting with pain and flung it aside.

The searing pain spread as it trickled with blood dribbling down my arm.

My head was bursting with pain now too but I had to keep fighting, I swung the Bo staff around me, hoping to god it would hit something.

Po's POV

I'd just seen Monkey collapse with the dagger wound.

I stuck out my stomach further and grasped my Bo staff tightly.

A patterned red and tan checkered snake with large black eyes dived towards me and I stabbed the Bo staff towards it.

"Po!" A voice behind me bellowed and I swooped around to see a large cannon barrel pointing straight at me.

Real Déjà vu now.

I jumped out of the way and watched as the cannon shot past where I'd been just mere seconds ago.

Gasping for breath I twisted around to see who's called my name, who'd saved me, but everyone was still fighting.

I felt something long and hard crack me right into the back of my skull and I buckled in pain.

Dizzy, my vision blurred with stars, I straightened up to see another snake, this time swirling gold, twirl a Bo Staff around its head with its tail.

That must have been what cracked me in the skull.

Susan's POV

I spun my Nunchucks around my head, taking out the ghosts' teeth as I went.

When I saw that cannon, I thought it was pointing at me, it was pointing at Po so I called to him, but now it was back facing me.

I felt two long thick ropes snag around my ankles and I was dragged forward so I was stuck right in front cannon's barrel.

There was surely no way out of this.

The ropes around me were actually ghost snakes too I noticed and that gave me an idea.

Immediately I stopped struggling and punched the snakes in their fangs, them fading almost instantly when my paw connected with their teeth.

I flipped out of the way of the cannon and felt eight or nine more creatures catapult on top of me.

Their bodies were huge and their fangs ripped my nightie as they dragged them across my body.

I flung them off and tried to run out of harms way, my ankles searing with pain while my body stinged where they'd scratched me.

Another, what felt like fifteen, snakes appeared in a circle around me and I swung my Nunchucks round, my paws slipping on the blood on the floor.

Tigress' POV

I growled and snarled, beating the fangs straight out of the snake's mouths with my claws.

I felt more snakes' approach me and I growled again, straightening my body.

So far, only I remained unhurt. I could see Crane to my left lying in a puddle of blood, Monkey to my right with a huge stab wound in his shoulder, Viper's scales dampened in red.

I was about to throw another punch when, amidst the confusion and chaos, something metallic like iron bowled into the square of my back.

I immediately hunched over and fell to the earth, my back in so much pain I thought it could burst open.

Still I stood up again and swung my Nunchucks round, trying my best to ignore the screams of my fellows echoing at me from left, right and centre.

Viper's POV

They just kept coming, every time I threw one snake off, another appeared, it was becoming unbearable.

They slunk and twisted around me, lashing their tails and sharpening their huge fangs.

I don't know how I envisioned this going but this certainly wasn't it.

The ghost snakes appeared from everywhere, clutching Bo staffs and daggers as well as all owning those long venomous fangs. Cannons were being fired left right and centre and often I thought I saw one of our side being hit.

The ground was littered in weapons, bits of fur and puddles of blood, and since the snakes didn't bleed it meant it was all coming from our side.

Everything was chaos.

"We need to go back to the basement!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and surprisingly the others heard.

Third person POV

The warriors bolted towards the hole in the ground they'd come up from.

The snakes chased them but they took no notice they continued to run, evading their furious tail lashes and teeth grazing their fur, until all of them fell into the tunnel and collapsed onto the floor inside.

Master Shifu bolted the door locked and fell against the wall, breathing heavily.

Mantis suddenly gasped and cried; "Where's spirit Yin? Did she make it down here?"

"I couldn't see her when we fought." Viper gasped, placing her tail over her chest to try and restore her heart to its usual pace.

Susan suddenly let out a cry too. "Monkey!"

She raced across the room and fell on her knees in front of him.

Monkey was barely awake, the wound in his shoulder was huge and deep, the blood spilling out in dark marron.

"Tigress can you rip off the sleeves of your dressing gown and hand them to me please." She ordered, carefully re-arranging Monkey's arms so she could get a good look at the wound.

Tigress nodded and began carefully ripping away the fabric.

"Now!"

Tigress ripped off the sleeves hastily and handed them to Susan, who practically snatched them off her in her haste, and wrapped one carefully around Monkey's wound.

He made a guttural sound and his eyes flickered a little before promptly rolling over and vomiting on the floor.

"Oh Monkey." Susan sighed and she sat herself next to him. "Are you alright?"

He grunted in reply and his deep blue eyes flickered open.
