When the nobles heard about the engagement, they immediately went to plan the wedding until Link snarled and snapped that they wouldn't do anything about the wedding. He said they were planning their own wedding and wanted it to remain private, neither wanting it to be opened to the public.

They had started to fight them on the decision but backed off when Link growled lowly and threatened to show them a real life wolf, and was a very pissed off one.

Zelda had been happy to see Link standing up for what they wanted and they spent the rest of the day at Ordon to talk with their respective friends in order to help with the wedding. Uli had Ilia and the kids to watch Lexi while she went with Zelda to make her dress, and the princess was surprised to see them making the dress.

Link had been taken by Rusl to make his own wear. He watched as Rusl and Mayor Bo along with Jaggle began explaining how the men usually wore something along the lines of their Ordon outfits but it was more polished and whatnot along with a crown of flowers.

The two had spent hours on their respective outfits, Link making sure not to see Zelda's dress like the old tradition went. He didn't want them to have bad luck in their future and he knew for sure he wanted to be surprised. When they weren't spending time on their outfits, they were spending time together to make sure they had everything they wanted for their wedding.

Soon enough, they were good to go.

A week before the wedding, Link had asked if this was really what she wanted because they could easily have a big wedding if she wanted one but she shook her head, explaining how she wanted a small wedding with Link's Ordon family.

She relaxed into his arms even more, resting her head on his chest, hearing slight purring sounds coming from; she knew it was from his wolf. He had once said his wolf still had an influence on his daily life and one of the things that stood out was the slight purring sounds.

It calmed her down and she couldn't wait to be married to him.

Link was feeling like he owned the world while he was with her. While he knew the moment they were married, he would become the consort, and he would be thrusted into the upper ranks of royalty. But he wanted to remain the Captain of the Guards.

"Darlin'," he said after a while. "When we get married, I want to remain the Captain of the Guards."

Zelda smiled. "That's fine," she replied. "I quite think they would like that."

"Then it's settled," Link smiled brightly.

"Anything else?"

Link shook his head, snuggling into her, pulling her closer as he kissed her forehead gently. He couldn't wait for the wedding day and he knew it was close, but he was starting to get impatient.

"I can't wait to be married to you," he admitted.

Zelda giggled. "Neither can I."

"Just a few more days."

Both couldn't wait for the moment when they said their I do's to each other and be each other's officially. Just a few more days and everything would be perfect.

Just a few more days.

When the wedding came, both were off to Ordon and at their respective places in the small village to get ready. Zelda with Uli, Sera, and the other girls while Link was with Rusl, Jaggle, Mayor Bo and the other boys, the kids were outside playing until the moment the wedding would start.

Zelda took one last look in the mirror before turning to face Uli and the others. "Well?" she asked shyly.

Uli placed the crown of roses on her head. "Stunning," she hummed.

Ilia smiled happily as she nodded in agreement to Uli's words. "Link will be swept off his feet," she added.

Sera chuckled as she patted Zelda's shoulder. "He's already swept off his feet the moment they met," she winked. "I remember how he couldn't stop blabbing in his letters to Rusl about her; even when he didn't want to admit he loved you."

There was a slight blush that appeared over the monarch's expression, which earned a laugh from the women. Zelda smiled softly as she took a deep breath, thinking for a moment; this was happening.

She was about to get married to Link, the Hero of Twilight, who had ended the war between the Twilight Realm and the Light Realm.

She couldn't wait.

Link tried not to let his nerves show as Rusl placed the crown made of thorns over his head. They had explained while the woman got the roses, the men got the thorns signaling no rose was complete without the thorns.

His father went through it with his mother, so he could go through it with Zelda, happy she got the roses instead of him.

Mayor Bo slapped him on the back. "Everything is set and ready to go! But, are ya sure you two don't want a royal wedding instead?"

"No," Link shook his head. "We agreed on an Ordon wedding long before we were engaged. We don't want it to become a big deal. The public will know soon after, but we want this to be private."

Rusl smiled softly. "To be special."

"Yeah," he nodded shyly. "It's just— I never was good with a lot of people, and even when we came back from winning the war, I felt anxious to get out of the crowd, my wolf doesn't help with that."

"Yet you run the guards," Jaggle pointed out.

Link shrugged. "I know them," he admitted. "Better than I did at first, I got to know them, which makes my job a lot easier and I'm happy I can talk with them while training or doing their rounds."

But he couldn't do a big royal wedding. He'd chicken out.

Yet with this, he wouldn't chicken out, by the day's end, he would be married to the love of his life.

The moment Link saw Zelda, he felt his face flush up and knew instantly he was lucky. It was a simple dress, but she looked beautiful, especially with the crown of roses on her head. He sucked in a sharp breath as he swallowed his nerves, holding out his hand as she took it with a smile.

Mayor Bo smiled widely before starting the wedding, noting how the sun was brightly shining down on them as he continued on speaking the wedding until it reached their vows.

Link took a deep breath before speaking his vows, hoping he could make her smile with them.

He never felt more nervous than anything but he had to do this; this was his moment he could be wedded to his wife, to his Zelda.

"Zelda, I know I didn't tell you anything before, but I think I always have loved you, even before we met," he began, nervously, stuttering over a few words but it was expected. "The moment I saw you that day in the gardens, I knew I wanted to make you smile again, tears didn't suit you and they never will. I promise you, with me, you won't ever cry tears of sadness again. You'll smile and be happy until death does us apart."

Zelda smiled softly at his words, and out of the corner of their eyes, they swore they saw Rusl wiping his eyes and Uli rolling hers. Link held back a laugh at his adoptive father, knowing how much of a cry baby he was.

"I know I got upset with you when you were remaking the gardens, but in truth, I was happy you were attempting to repair them," Zelda admitted and it made him chuckle in victory. "It made me smile more and more, even though I didn't know it; so, I don't doubt your words on smiling and being happy. I love you, Link."

"And I you."

Mayor Bo sniffled as he wiped his eyes. "Kiss the bride, Link! Do your thing."

The pair laughed before sharing a kiss, smiling into it. Link pulled her in closer as he heard his wolf howling with happiness in the back of his mind, and he couldn't agree more.

This woman's mine, bitches and I'm hers.
