Chapter 19 Not her Konoha part five.

Naruko verse.
Obito, listened, and listened, and listened, he couldn't believe he would do all of that, and for what Rin's death? Be manipulated? Be used as a puppet. Rip his sensei and his wife away from their child?
He balled his fist in anger, for one thing Kakashi didn't know it had been him? According to Rachel, Kakashi had no idea it was him until the fourth shinobi world war? That…. that was another thing…..to ponder over later, now he was focused on the things his other self has done.
He felt responsible for his actions. The other him had done so much bad. So much wrong.
"How could I just abandon my Nindo way?" he asked allowed.
Rachel looked concerned.
"How, could Kakashi endure lousing us all? And yet turn out to be like me?" he slammed his hand down on the desk Rachel filched.
"You can tell that Bakashi that I still think he's an idiot. And that he shouldn't morn us," He said and stood pacing the room "I need time to think, to proses this." He said looking at his sensei.
Minato nodded and Obito puffed away, and landed in front of Jex's apartment. On the man's balcony barely dodging a kunai from a wire he just tripped.
The sliding door flow open "What the fu-Obito?"
"I saw chi I mean Rachel" he said flatly as he stead in to the Jonin Sapphire eyes,
"Oh, come in" he said turning "Mind the mess I went a little destructive after I found she was alive. Havant got around to cleaning up until now." he said closing the bedroom door were his girlfriend lay sleeping.
"She err consoled. me after I had a chat with Rachel this morning," Jex said sheepishly,
Obito blushed but said nothing, Jex had always been popular with the ladies.
"Sit. Just shove the bottle's aside." Obito did, he was too numb to put up protest of how un sanitary the house was. Though if Rin found out she'd be here cleaning until it all was sparkly. He had to smile at that thought. He shook his head. Now wasn't the time to be thinking of Rin, he had done terrible things, well not him per se, but he still felt responsible.
"So, what do you know? How much did the Hokage tell you?" Jex asked.
"Everything and then some." He said, he told Jex everything he knew. "She-she told me about me, the other me….I-I killed Kushina-" his voice broke for a moment, Jex said nothing simply waited for the man to continue.
"I left his son without a mother." Obito, let some tears fall. Jex had seem him cry before so It was no big deal.
"Obito," Jex said gently "You know that your different right? You're not like her world's Tobi. And I'm calling him that because he doesn't deserve the name Obito."
"But he's still me…sort of"
Jex sighed. The Hokage had filled him in, after he had found out about Rachel, that she was from an alternate Konoha one without him, though the fact that they would be another Obit stands to reason, though he will admit he is shocked that in her world her Obito is a crazy psychopath. Then again, he shouldn't be surprised by anything.
"Then what are you going to do about it?"
"Huh what do'ya mean?"
"Are you going to kick his ass for been evil or let him continue what he's doing?"
"Well-I err haven't thought about it"
"Well you are going to help her get home, aren't you? Don't even think about saying no, she's still my sister…. sort of."
"What? Of cause, I am."
"Then when you see Tobi kick the shit out of him, while you're at it give him one for me too."
Obito looked lost for a moment before collecting himself.
"Right, I am going to be the next Hokage ya know I'd better sort this mess out." Jex saw the resolve on the Uchiha face, there was a time, when Obito doubted his self, his clan was harsh on him. If it wasn't for Kakashi and Rin at his side pushing him forward he wouldn't be the man he is today.
"So, -err how you handling your….I mean Rachel, how are you handling Rachel, sensei didn't say much about her."
"Not all that well, she -she died Obito she got raped and then was shoved into my sisters' body. Technically Chi died, if Rachel hadn't had took over her body then she wouldn't…. have lived.."
Obito, scratched his head at that, "But here your Chi…..ur…right sorry."
"No, it's fine, it's been an experience to see how she would have grown up.. and despite her not been Chi, I find myself having a soft spot for her. What happened to her was brutal man, according to her, her original world is so different, there's no shinobi, and the food sounds so different, an oh man, before she died, she was going to be a writer, and she lived in a place called." He clicked his tongue "L-London."
Both men were startled when the bedroom door flow open, Jex had never seen that look on his girlfriend's face before.
"Shit" Obito hissed "I forgot a privacy seal! aww sensei is going to kill me…err Natsumi, how much did you hear?"
"Everything." She answered flatly, Jex frowned, something was wrong.
"Awww jeez." Obito whined.
"Where is she from?" she asked them both. Nether answered even Obito noticed her odd tone.
"You said London, right?" she took a shaky step forward, "How could that be?"
"Nat, what's wrong?" Jex asked, standing, he really didn't like the look in his girlfriend's eyes.
"Where is she? Jex where is the woman who looks like your sister?"
"Why do you want to know? Nat, what's wrong?" he asked, though an unsettling feeling settled in to the pit of his stomach. Her violet eyes were vacant.
Where is she?" she asked again though her tone was sharp and her eyes flashed dangerously.
Jex looked at Obito trying to convey to the man that something wasn't right with his girlfriend, but he needn't of bothered he saw concern reflected in the Uchiha eye.
"Wait you said she was staying with the Hokage, right?" she asked, both men took a step forward, she boulted out of the window.
Jex was stunned for a moment before he grabbed his gear and took off after her. Obito right beside him.
"Jex what's her deal?"
"I don't know, this is the first time I've seen her act like this" he frowned what does she want with Ch-Rachel. he thought. "Obito, I have a bad feeling, go report this to the Hokage, I'll find her, if I can't then I'll find Rachel."
The Uchiha nodded and bounded off, though he wasn't looking forward to telling his sensei that he forgot to place a privacy seal.
Rachel now currently sat in the kitchen; Minato had flashed her home. Kushina fussed over her, and pretty much ordered her to sit and not move. she was worried about Obito, Minato had assured her that he would be fine. She didn't feel reassured by it, but he did know this Obito better than she did, she would just have to take his word for it.
She sipped at the tea Kushina had given her, the redhead in question was also sat at the table.
"Ya'know you're so readable…"
"Funny, my world Minato says that, am I that obvious?"
"Yes," Kushina said with a smile.
Rachel rolled her eyes.
"He'll be fine, I bet Jex is giving him a pep talk as we speak."
"There close?"
"Yea, when Jex first came here he…. well not in a good place. Wouldn't talk to anyone but me. Obito wore him down though, they became insuperable. Despite the age gap."
"That's good to know." Rachel said. she was glad he had befriended someone, even if it was this world's Obito.
Rachel was about to ask more, when there was a knock at the door. Kushina frowned but went to answer it. There were muffled voices before Kushina came back, with a woman behind her.
Rachel's sea-green eyes widened, as the woman brought a Kunai down on the back of Kushina head, there was a sickening thud as she hit the floor, within a minuet Anbu appeared, but the woman was already behind her pulled her up to her feet and a kunai to her neck.
Jex rushed in stopping at the sight of Kushina.
"Nat!" he hissed. "Stop this now!"
"I just need to know."
"Know what, Nat?"
Rachel stayed still, she could see the concern in his eyes, but she could also see he was conflicted. She didn't know this woman or what her relationship with Jex is.
The Kunai dug a little deeper, she knew Minato would feel it if it cut.
"Your-you're from London, right?" the woman asked it took a moment for Rachel to realize she was asking her.
"Yea."
The kunai shook a little the woman exhaled a shaky breath; Rachel could feel the woman trembling. When she started laugh, Rachel became worried it sounded demented, unhinge, like her world had just been turned upside down.
Jex expression also tightened, as he brought out a weapon of his own. The standoff was tense.
The Anbu made no moves, neither did Jex, a hostage situation was unfavourable.
"Nat. please" Jex pleaded. It was clear he didn't want to harm the woman.
"Oh…. this is….I can't believe it…all this time…."
"You're not making any sense Nat!"
"Sense? None of this makes sense none at all."
There was a yellow flesh Minato landed with Obito. As soon as he saw his wife on the floor, his anger bubbled. He moved protectively in front of Kushina. She was breathing. Just unconscious.
His sharp icy Azure blue eyes turned to the woman currently holding Rachel hostage.
Rachel sucked in a breath, as battel spirit aura filled the room, she had no defence against his anger. She could feel it. Lashing against her skin.
"This is treason" his tone low.
Rachel felt physically ill, she noticed the woman was reacting to the Battel spirit arura, though probably not as much as she was.
She dug her nails in to the palms of her hands to keep herself calm and grounded, a full-blown panic attack won't help, matte.
Rachel felt the seal on her stomach begin to burn which could only mean one thing…
Naruto what are you?
There's something about her, her chakra. It's like yours except it works….. I think….I think she might be from your world. He said inside of her head.
Rachel's sea-green eyes widened.
What? How?
I'm not hundred percent sure but I think she was reincarnated here, rather than shoved in to a child's body like you were. He said solemnly. It's hard to explain unless you can feel chakra like I can.
What are you planning on doing? I can feel the seal. Last time you came out Minato tried to kill you! Rachel said worriedly. Not to mention she has a kunai to my throat, if I pass out, she'll cut!
Don't worry it wasn't me that made you pass out last time, it was Dad-I mean Minato, in fact he's going to do it again if he's not careful.
Rachel slightly agreed with that she felt sick and her head was took everything she had to keep the panic attack at bay.
Distract her

Ask her what her name was before she died.
She refocused on the scene around her Minato was lousing patients Jex was worried, Obito looked confused.
"Last chance stand, down!" he commanded.
"I was never yours to command!" the woman hissed out.
"Hey" Rachel said brining her potted arm up to curl her fingers around the woman's arm that held the Kunai to her throat. "What was your name before you died?" she asked. the room had stilled.
"It-it was Nataly, Nat for short" she said softy.
"Where did you live?" Rachel asked.
"M-Manchester."
"How did you die Nat?" she asked, softly the woman barely put any weight behind the blade now Rachel gently moved her hand away. Turning so she was facing the woman, she had pretty violet eyes, copper coloured hair. A very rear combination back in their world. She could see an orange missed coming from her stomach and going around the woman then taking shape into Naruto.
"I-I" she laughs "It-it was so, fucking stupid, I-I fell in the shower broke my neck, I think or hit my head split my skull…..I don't really know! But I sure as hell didn't expect to wake up here!" she gestured all round her. "And then be a baby again!"
Naruto took the opportunity whilst she was still waving her arms around, he held his own weapon to her throat, grabbed her arm with her weapon and squeezed it.
Nat gasped as her arm was forced behind her back.
"Easy, I don't want to hurt you" he said as she begun to struggle.
Rachel used the table for support her legs were trembling, she stumbled backwords.
"Woe, I got ya" Jex said. as he let her learn on him.
"Jex"
"Yea?"
"Sink, now!"
"Oh, right got ya" he quickly moved her to the sink she throw up, he held her louse hair up and out of the way.
She could hear a commotion going on behind her, but she didn't pay it any attention, it felt like her body was on fire, she clung to the sink, if it weren't for Jex holding her up she would have collapsed by now.
She had never felt so, ill. Not even Minato's jutsu made her feel this bad. Add to her still racing heart.
She groaned, when Jex pried her away from the sink and lifted her up in to his arms. As he turned, she saw Nat as she was been pinned and cuffed by the Anbu.
Naruto stood off to the side watching Minato with Kushina.
Minato picked up his wife turned to them.
"You broke the seal then!" he asked Naruto.
"Of cause I did ya' know."
"Return to her and I won't replace it."
Naruto huffed and glanced at Rachel "Fine, but be more careful that battel spirit arura of yours nearly made her pass out again."
Minato also glanced at Rachel "That wasn't my intention, I thought been around the other me might have made her used to it."
"Tech, the other you don't need to use it on her" Naruto said harshly. "just…..take care of her." He said "I sensed Tobi, but the minute I did he vanished."
Minato nodded. Naruto gave Rachel a nod of his head before placing his hand on her stomach, she felt his chakra re-enter the seal.
"Do I need to ask?" Jex said glancing at Rachel.
"No,"
"Thought so, you trust him, though right?"
"Yea"
"Good enough for me."
"Take her to interrogation unit, no one in or out but me and Ibiki" The Hokage ordered the Anbu.
"You'll need to be debriefed Jex before I'll allow you to see her."
"Understood Hokage-sama."
"Now, let's get to the Hospital."
Rachel stiffened.
"I'll meet you there, Hokage-Sama, I don't think she would handle your Jutsu right now."
Minato nodded and in a flash was gone.
"No, no, no Jex no Hospital!" Rachel hissed as she begun to struggle in his arms.
"Hey-woa easy, you won't be staying" he says trying to ease her obvious fear.
"I can't, stay, ok promise me I won't stay!"
"I promise, you need to get looked at though, what he did was dangerous, you only felt a fraction of it, he was aiming for Nasim." He was headed out of the door.
"Obito can you look up, thanks"
Not giving the Uchiha chance to answer he took off,
Jex took her to the hospital, Tsunade wasn't much different from the one in Naruto world. Except there was no maternal love in the honey eyed woman's eyes.
"Well, you're still trying to keep the attack at bay." Tsunade says placating an oxygen mask over her face. "Keep this on for a bit and breath" She said. "I'm going to go knock some sense in to that Hokage honesty using that with a civilian present!"
She briskly walked out of the room, Jex stood at the window, Rachel felt a pang of guilt. If it weren't for her been here Jex and the others may not have found out about her.
"I didn't even suspect a thing." He said turning to face her, "she was my girlfriend and I didn't know."
Rachel pulled the mask away, "If she had told you would you have told the Hokage?" she asked.
Jex thought about it "Yes."
"Then that's why, she didn't tell you, she has a heavy burden on her shoulders, to know what may or may not happen. I think she stood with you because you're not part of the show we watched, she felt safe with you because you weren't part of the original plot."
Jex sighed, walked over to Rachel, he put the mask back on her face. And grinned down at her "Guess all I can do is be there for her now." he said "That's if I'm ever allowed to see her again,"
"You, will when you do make sure your there for her ok? Dying is not an easy thing to go through." Rachel said though it was somewhat muffled by the mask.
"Yea, I can't imagine that, and I'm sorry you both had to go through that."
Rachel shrugged it was a touchy topic, and she didn't like talking about it. It was something she didn't want to experience again, at least not the way it happened the first time. A quick death she would be fine with.
Jex took her left-hand startling her out of her thought's "Really, Rach, youth been through a lot." He moved the band aside, Rachel looked away, ashamed of her weakness.
"I can feel a pulse of my chakra here." He said "I must have attempted to stop you at some point."
Rachel nodded. "Good because even though you have had a fucked-up life, you deserve a better one now. I want you to be happy and treat Chi's body like your own." He said, placing the band back over her scars. Rachel felt guilt over them now, she was scarring the woman's body who had given her life.
"Aww, Man don't look like that." He said scratching his head, "Look, I'm not mad ok, Chi long gone now, so even though you look like her, there's no sense in dwelling on it, that body you're in is yours's now. got it?" Rachel nodded. She felt a lump growing in her throat.
Before she could dwell on it more the door opened to revel Minato and Kushina.
"Namesake, leave me alone! If you fuss over me anymore, I swore to Kami I'll send you to the hospital."
"But Kushina Tsunade said to take it easy." He whined.
"I am taking it easy!" she hit him over the head Rachel realised he didn't even try to evade the hit.
Jex lent over "If he avoids it, it makes things worse trust me, he whispered.
Rachel nodded. Keeping the oxygen mask in place. Just seeing him sent waives of shivers through her body.
Kushina, rushed over to her "Oh, I'm so, sorry, Rachel. he's so going to pay for doing that to you!" she whirled around to Minato and once more punched him in the shoulder.
"Awe, Kushina…. I had too, she had hurt you…" he winced. Rachel guessed that seeing his wife injured like that must have touched a nerve.
"Minato, it's sweet that you fret over me." she said sweetly "But for the love of Kami stop mothering me!"
Minato dropped his head in defeat, it was best if he angered her any more it could make the concussion wares.
The Sannin said that Rachel was good to go, but to kept a close eye on.
Minato took Kushina home Jex carried Rachel because she had flat out refused to travel by his jutsu.
Once home Minato asked Jex to stay and watch over them. He had agreed, Naruko was upset that her mom had been hurt, Kushina needed to rest so, she and Jex told her story's.
Minato came home tucked his daughter in to bed, and thanked Jex, told him Nara Shikaku would handle the debriefing about his girlfriend.
Jex waved to Rachel and left.
Minato fussed around Kushina for a while before she punched him sending him down the stars.
Rachel sat on the sofa, her ankle propped up, she had a lot to think about, with all that had happened today she was mentally tired.
She closed her eyes lent her head back on the sofa, she felt a presence stood in front of her she opened her eyes, to see Minato, he offered her a cup of tea she took it gratefully.
He sat down next to her, she noticed he left space between them. She sipped at her tea.
"How's the ankle?" he asked.
"You should know since you can feel what I feel" she said then winced, she sounded harsher than she had meant to be, "Its better thank you."
He hummed, taking a sip of his own tea, she could see he was watching her out of the corner of his eye, she suddenly felt on edge been sat with him, he had taken advantage of her before.
She must have reacted to him in some way, with a sigh, he spoke softly.
"Rachel I apologies, for my actions the other day, I let my body lead me and as a shinobi that was very carless of me," he said, he had turned his body around to face her. "I honestly didn't expect to have such strong feeling for you. Even that's not an excuse, what I did was wrong, especially after everything you have been though." He was sincere, she could see that. she wasn't sure how she should respond.
"You don't have to say anything." He said," You don't have to forgive me."
Rachel, sipped her tea, she wasn't sure how she should feel, she knew he meant his apology, but he still took advantage, and it was something she found she could not forgive.
An uncomfortable since settled between them, she finished her tea, and stood mindful of her ankle. "Thanks for the tea," she said walking past him, he let her go.
She rinsed the cup out in the sink and headed upstairs, today had really taken a toll on her.
Minato sat on the sofa a while longer, he deeply regretted his actions towards her, he supposed he deserved her anger. Besides she wasn't his to love. Even if it felt like she was. She belongs to the other Minato.
He sighed, finished his tea, he felt Kakashi's chakra before he puffed in to the room.
"Is its true Nat's betrayed us?"
Well that didn't stay a secret for long Minato thought.
"Sort of." He said standing, "Turns out she's like Rachel, she died and was reincarnated in to this world." He said.
"Well, that's…..we never suspected a thing." Kakashi says looking hurt.
"No, we didn't, for now I'm keeping her looked up until I speak to her and find out why she hid it from us, and punish her for Hitting Kushina, she'll be free to go. Under supervision of cause. Theirs still quietens that she needs to answer, like did she tamper with the plot , as Rachel calls it?"
"Sensei she saved us" Kakashi said.
"I know, come to think of it she was clingy to you Rin and Obito, she must have known what was to happen." He mused. "In any case for now she's off limits, but I do need you to do me a favour Obito found out some unsettling news, tell him I give him permission to tell, but remind him to place a privacy seal down first."
"Yes sensei." In a puff he was gone.
Minato placed his cup in the sink, and headed up stars to bed,
He yawned, since Rachel had arrived, he hasn't gotten much sleep. though the thought of there been an identical world was really fascinating, he had spent many sleepless nights pondering over it.
As he reached the top of the stairs, Rachel screamed, he was just about to flash in there, when her door flow open, she raced out of the room running right in to him, he gripped her by the arms, at least he did until a burst of chakra emitted from her she hit out at him, he dodged moving behind her.
She stumbled forward he grabbed her before she fell down the stairs.
Chakra one again flared but he didn't let go, he pulled her away from the stairs and turned her to face him.
He noticed her eyes were unsung.
is she sleep walking?
She kicked at him he dodged again, still having her potted arm in his hold. The charka wasn't stable but he begun to feel the sting of it,
"Rachel" he called.
She aimed a punch at him with her free hand, he caught it spun her around holding each wrist in his hands, she struggled in his hold.
His bedroom door opened, and Kushina rubbed her eyes sleepily.
"Minato what?"
"She's sleeps walking" he said still holding her.
"Wake her?
"I've tried," he winced, as the chakra burnt his hands "Get me a chakra suppressant, will you?"
The red head nodded and went back in to the bedroom, she returned a few moments later and placed it on Rachel's chest. Kushina frowned.
"The shock of having her chakra suppressed should have woken her" up."
"I think this is why she won't sleep." Minato says adjusting his hold on the struggling woman, small whimpers came from Rachel along with a cry's of destress.
"Bring her in to the bedroom, I don't want to wake Naruko." Kushina says.
Minato did, she struggled all the while fighting every step.
"NO! Please, no…stop."
Kushina closed the door behind him, no sound could get out but sound from outside could enter.
"She must be dreaming about the rape." Kushina says quietly,
Minato agreed, "How do we wake her?"
"You have to do it"
Minato stilled he recognised the voice as Inoichi but the mind walker was not here.
"I am just copy of my original self, as long as you have contact with her you can hear me."
"You're the Inoichi from the other world? He said Kushina cooked her head to the side curiously.
"yes, I am, though I am rather weak at the moment I need chakra form my original if she does not return soon. My job is to keep a seal intact, but we didn't antihate coming to an autunite universe."
"Indeed."
"You should know though I wouldn't have let the other me enter, she fragile, and has come a long way from what she used to be, my original self has put a lot of work into fixing her and I wouldn't let anything jeopardies that."
"I understand" Minato said, "at the time I saw her as threat that is no longer the case."
"I can see that, though I'm not happy about the kiss you gave her…. that's left her feeling confused."
"I apologised for that, I let my emotions get the better of me."
Inoichi hummed. "I'll instruct you on how to wake her. And keep her calm,"
Kushina watched as Minato sat on the bed taking Rachel with him, she watched as he spoke low and soothingly. She saw Rachel begin to relax in to him, a twinge of jealousy sat in her chest and she brushed it away, she knew Rachel was just responding to his voice. She also knew she didn't quite trust her Minato.
Rachel begun to wake, Kushina could see she was trembling, when her sea green eyes regained clarity, she could see the fear in them.
"Shh, Rachel your safe, come back to us,"
It was almost like she had forgotten where she was for a moment as she fully relaxed in to Minato's hold.
When her sea-green eyes landed on Kushina they widened, she stiffened, pulling away from him.
"Easy Rachel." he soothed.
"….I'm. So-sorry I fell asleep….." her voice trembling with each word.
"So, you should have." Kushina said kneeling down in front of her, "Your exhausted,"
"Why haven't you asked us for the sedative?" Minato asked.
"I-I didn't…trust you." She filched as she said it.
"You could have asked Kushina."
Rachel flushed embarrassed that she hadn't thought of that.
She could feel Minato gentle yet firm hold of her arms, it felt so wrong with Kushina knelt down in front of her.
She swallowed hard the fear of the dream still fresh. Taking one deep breath after another, she was able to calm down.
Minato let go of her arms, she sat up away from his warm body heat, which she strangely missed.
Her hands stung slightly, when she looked down, she saw that they were red, and sore.
"Did I-I hurt you?" she asked. looking back at Minato.
"No."
She let out a sigh of relief.
She was still shaking, but the dream was fading.
Kushina moves out of the way and Rachel stood, grimacing and very nearly falling she felt Minato's hands on her waist steadying her. She filched; she had forgotten about the sprained ankle.
"You didn't feel that whilst you were sleep?" he asked, dropping his hands and standing.
"No, apparently that's a thing, if I injure myself, I don't wake up." She says, turning to face him, craning her neck to look at him.
"Humm you didn't notice the chakra suppressant ever." He mused looking down, Rachel looked down and a seal on her chest.
She frowned, Kushina turned her back around making sure she was steady on her feet, the Uzumaki pulled off the seal, Rachel felt her chakra flow freely again.
"I placed it on you not him" Kushina says. Giving her husband a glare over Rachel's head. Rachel heard a nervous laugh from behind her.
Kushina stiffened looking to the window as a loud explosion sounded. Rachel gasped. A moment later an Anbu appaired in the room. Rachel flinched at the sudden appearance.
"Report!" Minato ordered.
"Sir, Kakashi and Obito apartment there's been an explosion. We don't know if there are any casualties."
"Seal off the village, get medics on standby." He ordered. Kushina held Rachel by the shoulders Rachel felt a stab of fear, what had happened? Were they alright? Was this Tobi?
She felt the burning session on her stomach.
"N-Naruto?"
Minato's gaze snapping to her, she learned on Kushina as all colour drained from her face.
"He-he says it's Tobi!"
"He can come out" Minato says. Rachel nodded moved her hands away from the seal as orange missed fluted out, she felt queasy at seeing him come out.
The orange clad man, solidified and gave wave to Kushina who grinned back. He then turned to Minato.
"I felt him, but he's gone again."
Minato nodded "You may as well accompany me, you know him, and can sense him before I can."
Naruto nodded "What about Rachel? her safety comes first!"
"I'll stay, and get her to a safe house." Kushina says squeezing Rachel's shoulders reassuringly.
Minato got dressed quickly, he already had a shirt on, though he noticed Rachels gaze was not on him. Her face flushed red. He almost grinned before he met Kushina gaze.
Strapping his weapons pouch securely to him, he walked over to Naruto. Placed a hand on his shoulder and flashed away.
"Come on, go get dressed and I wake Naruko we need to get somewhere safe."
Naruto verse.
Minato was uneased, more than usual he had tried to sleep and found he could not.
Something nagged at him, growing worry for Rachel. he sighed and pushed the covers back, perhaps he should aske Tsunade for a sedative. Shaking his head, he dismissed the thought, a sedative would knock him out. He needed to be alert. Just encase Rachel came back.
He paused when he felt Sakumo's and Chloe chakra nearby. The girl was agitated.
He quickly dressed. Hopped out of the window. Leaving a clone with Naruto.
Landing on a nearby roof he found the two at a standoff.
"Stand down! Pup" Sakumo said, tone commanding.
Chloe scrawled but didn't back down.
"If you leave the village the Hokage will deem you a threat. You will be killed on sight!" he warned.
"I have- have to go."
"Why?"
"Her blood calls."
Minato jumped down Sakumo wasn't surprised Chloe razed her kunai a little higher.
"Who's blood?" Minato asked he doubted he had kept the hopefulness out of his voice.
"Rache's but it's not, it different"
"What do you mean?"
"I I not sure how to-to describe it."
Minato new her vocabulary was limited. Been in the wild and isolated for so long would do that.
"Go on." He encouraged.
"It's, it's small and a lot at the same time, but weak."
Well that was disconcerting.
"And you're sure it's Rachel's?"
"Yes. Since packed we are linked."
"Sakumo take her and a small team of Anbu. I have a bad feeling about this."
"yes Hokage-sama."
Sakumo walked past Chloe and grabbed her by the scruff of her caller "Come along pup, you have your first mission.!"
Minato watched with amusement as the young woman struggled in the older man's grip. A knot forming in the pit of his stomach.
With a frustrated sigh he headed for his office. At least the papered is getting done. He mused.
Naruko verse.
There had been no word all night, Kushina had taken them to a safe house, Naruko was asleep on the sofa, Rachel was pacing the room, growing worry and anxiety, stressing her out. She had felt Naruto re-enter her seal, but he wouldn't speak to her?
"keep that up your ankle won't heal" Kushina says,
"I, know, I know." Rachel muttered. She took a seat in the empty chair.
It was at that moment the Hokage chose appeared He looked dishevels, blooded he still held a kunai in his hand.
"Minato!" Kushina says though managing to keep her voice down, she rushes to her husband's aide.
"He took Rin."
Rachel gasped. Colure drained from her face. She was glad she was sitting down.
Then she felt pain, unbearable shattering pain as muscle tor bones shattered, she tried to scream but no sound came out.
"I don't need you anymore I have what I want!" she just saw the swirls of an orange mask, she saw Minato fall clutching his chest before making hand signs, orange mist came out of her, as three hands grabbed Tobi's Naruto, Minato and Obito,
"Oh, no you don't you bastard!" there was a washing noise and the pain flared again as the what she assumed a kunai was ripped back out. This time she did scream. Breath left her lungs replaced by flued. She could vaguely here Naruko crying.
She was lifted up off the chair pain flared she whimpered.
"He martialized through a wall and a chair! He got through my seals!" Minato hissed.
"Sensei give her to me, I know were her world is now, she needs to go home, then I'm going to get Rin back."
"He's right" Naruto says looking grim, "She needs to go home."
The orange clad man floated back in to the seal, but Rachel didn't care, she could barely stay awake, she oddly felt Numb and cold. Shouldn't she be feeling pain?
She was handed over to Obito, who was shirtless she noticed he had a burn mark on his shoulder.
"Don't worry I'll be back."
She hears the washing sound again.
Naruto verse
Minato sits at his desk, his student puffs in to the room.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"Shouldn't you?"
"Fair point."
The sun was just rising spreading a golden glow across Konoha, the only sound that could be herd in his office was his pen scribbling and Kakashi turning a page in his book.
There was a calmness Minato didn't like it. It felt like a clam before a storm. Hours past Minato's pile of paperwork slowly goes down, Kakashi sits on his windowsill, re-reading his book.
All the signs of a quiet day in Konoha, Minato's unease grew something was going to happen he could feel it, in the pit of his stomach, no his chest. He dropped his pen learned forward on the desk clutching at his chest.
"Sensei!"
Pain, so much pain, was he dying having some sort of heart attack? No, no this wasn't his pain this …. this was Rachel's.
Kakashi was fussing over him, a noise drew both of their attention, as what appeared to be a portal of some sort opened up in his office.
His Anbu reacted and surrounded the office.
Kakashi lifting up his headband,
When a man appaired, holding a barely conscious Rachel, Minato stared at him, it wasn't just any man it was Obito.
Minato brought his hands together to release the seal that was connecting them, he needed his wits about him.
The Man/Obito, knelt down on the floor.
"Your home now kid." He says
Rachel reaches a blooded hand up he takes it.
"Don't-Don't be like Him, Obito if-if you can't save Rin, Don't- Please" she whimpered.
"Don't worry, I'm not abandoning my villige or my Nindo way" Obito's Red eye lifted to meat Minato and Kakashi's Minato stood.
"She needs a medic now! and you!" he glared at Kakashi "Stop been an idiot stop mooring my death be the bastard you always were and help me save Rin, two of you is better than one"
Obito says letting Rachels hand slip from his, as he stood.
"I'll explain later, right now I need your help Bakashi!"
Before Minato could protest the copy-Nin moves towards Obito and they both disappear.
Minato rushes around the desk and quickie flashes Rachel to the hospital.
Tsunade is called for, though without Kakashi to hide the blood, he wounded what help she would be.
Once again Rachel came back hurt, he felt utterly helpless,
The sound of heals fast approaching brought him out of his own self-pity, he turned to the Honey eyed woman,
"It's not good" he says "Kakashi not here to hid the blood, but….she needs you!" he pleaded. He saw the fear in her honey combe eyes, watched as she begun to tremble
"Tsunade!" he placed his hands on her shoulders if she felt him trebling also, she didn't comment on it.
She curst under her breath, "Sh-she needs me Huh?"
"Yes, she doses. Go in there and Save her. She like a daughter to you is she not? go in there and fight for her life."
Tsunade takes a deep steadying breath he can feel her chakra Hardening.
"She will live damnit I haven't done all that work on her for nothing!" she pushes him aside and he allows it. She strides to the room barking out orders.
Minato once again sit's in a chair await news. He wonders how ticked off Tsunade will be. he knew Rachels injury was not life-threatening Hours ticked by, Medics ran in and out of the room, all the while Minato sat and waited.
He had made sure Naruto was taken care off.
When the Sannin exited the room, Minato stood. And to his surprise (or not) she slapped him hard across the face.
"You know Shizune could handle that! And still made me go in there!" she snapped her honey combe eyes blazing with anger.
"Did it work?" he asked rubbing his face. Not taking his eyes off the woman.
"Did what work?!"
"is your fear of blood gone?"
Tsunade blinked. Then glared, "I don't -maybe, - we'll see."
Minato hummed. "How is she?"
"Stable, though it will be a long recovery, whoever stabbed her was toying with her, her shoulder and collier bone are shattered. And her body is too stubborn to except my chakra. What I have done is prepare the bones to heal, takin out the sharp edges and aligned them up, so they heal properly, also, her lung was nicked, I did heal that. She had other injures a brake in her right arm, which is healing nicely though I felt my charka in their witch is strange because she's been missing, she also has a sprained ankle. And a new scar on her wrist."
The last part was more alarming then the rest. A new scar? What had caused her to do that? He wondered.
"I put her under Minato she'll be out for a good while, she was sleep derived."
Minato nodded.
"You can see her, she's cleaned up don't touch her right arm if it's moved without chakra manipulation, you risk more damage. Theirs not just the bone to heal, but the muscle to regrow and attach back to the shoulder so she can move her arm."
Minato nodded, "Thank you Tsunade," he said sincerely, he meant it. Rachel was once again home, though her injuries are serous they are not life threatening.
Tsunade nodded and although, she was mad at him, Minato still saw the slight tremors that ran though her, even if she was trying to hide it.
It had taken a lot he knew to confront her fear of blood, she had done it for Rachel, he couldn't be prouder of the honey eyed woman.
He watched as she walked away, watching for any weakness in the woman, aside from the slight trembling, there was none, he knew she would not let it show until she was alone.
He made a mental note, to check on her later.
He went in to the room, Rachel lay asleep, her arm in a pot
"It's a temporary one Hokage-sama." Shizune says, "it needs to be as still as possible."
He nodded and took up her left side, gently he picked up her hand turning it over, he traced the new scar, it was deep but even he could tell it wasn't meant to end her life, he suspected that she had wanted to cause herself pain.
Why? He wondered, what happened to you?
On that question he looked to Shizune. The other medics had gone now, "Shizune, is she?...was she." He swallowed his throat dry at the thought, "Was she taken advantage of?" he couldn't bring himself to say Raped, she was so broken by the last one.
"No, Hokage-sama, she's not been violated in anyway."
He released a breath he didn't know he was holding. She was safe, and now home.
He worried over his student, and wondered where he was right now, and with Obito?
Still, for the moment there wasn't much he could do, Rachel would be out for a while. He was tempted to have Inoichi look though her head, but decided against it. He needed to trust her and vice versa. She needed to trust him. So, he sat and waited. Kept his hand in her left, his eyes were drawn to the new scar, he ran his thumb over it, it really did worry him.
He sighed, swept some of her golden blond hair out of her face.
She always looks so peaceful when she doses sleep, he wished with all his heart that she could have a peaceful rest like this all of the time.
With Obito.
"Awww fuck! Rin not so tight!"
"Shut up Obito and let me treat you,"
"Are you sure you're ok? I mean, what did he do to you?"
Rin sighed "Nothing, he just….he was pleading for forgiveness and saying that he was going to create a better world."
Rin finished bandaging Obito up, "Alright Kakashi"
Both Kakashi's looked at her "My Kakashi…I mean the one from our world"
"You don't have enough chakra Rin," he says,
"I have enough to at least stop the bleeding, now sit!"
Kakashi didn't argue, as Rin applied the healing chakra, the intake of breath wasn't missed by all three men.
Obito sat with Kakashi from Rachel's world.
"This must be a shook to you, I'm a,…. I'm sorry, you had to find out like this,….."
"He's changed, he's not the Obito I once knew. But you, your more like him, or at least how I imagined him to be, if things had been different."
"Well, Err, thanks, I think." Obito scratched the back of his head,
There was a silence in the meadow were they all sat.
"We have to end it soon, Rin's low on chakra, so am I, transporting Rachel back to her world and fighting with Tobi through different universes sapped my reserves. Add to that your injury's and my Kakashi's….. this needs to end."
"I agree, I was hoping not to kill him though, I think, he's left us with no other choice, now he knows Rin exist in anther universe he could take her again, and again. He won't stop."
Obito nodded solemnly. "I Never knew I had this kind of evil within me, ya'know? I had always dreamed of protecting the villige and becoming Hokage. But Tobi, he's shown another side to me, a side I don't like."
Kakashi placed his hand on the man's shoulder "You're not him!" he said with conviction "I've what known you a whole day and I can tell your not him, you care about the village and Rin."
"What I did, what he did in your universe is unforgivable….I have his blood on my hands, how can I become Hokage knowing what my other self has done?"
"Because you're not him. Obito, be you, be the best dam Hokage there is and protect Konoha like no other Hokage has. we'll end this here; he won't hurt anyone else."
Obito, sighed, heavily "I just, he hurt you"
Kakashi could see the hurt in the Mans's eyes,
"He, did, has, but if we don't stop him here, he'll hurt more people I care about."
"RIN! That's enough!" both men turned to see Kakashi stopping Rin, from completely exhausting herself.
"Rin. What are you doing? We still have a lot of fighting to do!" Obito says coming to stand in front of her as Kakashi moves out of the way.
"I'm healing, so you can keep on fighting!"
"At what cost? Damnit Rin, we need to all work together. No more using Medical jutsu unless it's life threating got it?" Obito glared down at her.
"Fine." She huffs crossing her arms across her chest.
"Don't think Sensei wont here about this cause he will…"
"Do, and you'll be sleeping on the sofa for the foreseeable future!"
"It' will be worth it, if it teaches you to know your own limits!"
The Kakashi from Rachel's world asked the other Kakashi.
"Are they always…?"
"Yep, sometimes I wish, I didn't have a team but" he says glancing at his near identical twin "After meeting you I'd say I'm pretty lucky."
"You have no idea."
"Oh, I think I do. So, tell me did you try it after the old mans death?"
Kakashi lowered his head, "Yea. You?"
"Yea. That idiot over there stopped me."
"Sensei, saved me then had me admitted to a mental hospital for a while…. Inoichi was nice, he understood and didn't judge."
"Mmmm Obito told sensei, Kushina nearly killed me when she found out, made me wish I was dead, she also made me promise not to do it again and made me and the dogs move in with them."
The quiet of the meadow was shattered as Tobi appeared, grasping for Rin, Obito manged to pull her away just in time. The fight once again begun but they did not know how much longer they could hold out for.
With Rachel.
Minato, still sat with a sleeping Rachel, he had informed his son that she was home, though unable to see him just yet. His son had argued with him on that. But relented when he told him she was in the hospital, but assured him she would be fine. Once she was up for visitors Naruto would be the first one, she saw.
Tsunade had said the sedative was a low dose just enough for her to recover some. She would be waking soon.
Shizune had strapped down her right injured arm, she would wake up in a nightmare thrashing around would worsen the damage already been done.
On that note, she begun to struggle, Minato held her down best he could.
A flare of chakra and her Sea-green eyes cleared, he smiled down at her with concern she blinked, blinked again.
"M-Minato is it really is you right?" she croaks out.
Rally was him? That had him worried, had she been put in a genjutsu?
"Yes. It's me…" he says, letting her go.
She, turns her head and winces, her chest and right shoulder and arm are bandaged, and potted.
"Tsunade, says it will be a long recovery process, but you should make a full one."
"it…hurts…" she croaked. Minato pushed the call Butten alerting Shizune.
The apprentices quickly entered the room.
"She's in pain" he says.
Shizune injects something into the drip that leads into her left arm Minato moved out of the way.
"Ok. Rachel this should help, let me know if the pain doesn't subside."
"T-thank you"
The medic performed a quick scan gave her some water, unstrapped the wounded arm placing a pillow under it. She was already propped up in bed.
Minato thanked the woman as she left, he sat down on Rachel's left side, mindful of the drip.
She stared at him, he tried not to fidget.
"Is something wrong?" he asked gently,
"N-No. I just…wanted to make sure you recognize me."
"Of course, I do." He frowned worriedly "What happened for you to think…I wouldn't recognise you?"
She was silent for some time.
"It's a long story." she says "One I don't want to repeat twice. One I don't want to tell you on your own, get Inoichi, and Shikaku and Sakumo Ka-ah he went with Obito didn't he?"
"Yes. And I'm afraid Sakumo is on a mission with Chloe."
"Oh, well then, just who I mentioned, Oh and Tsunade."
Minato nodded and summoned an Anbu, who puffed away to drag relative people out of bed.
He didn't mind she was willing to talk, without any prompting. That worried him and relived him at the same time.
Whilst they sat and wated for the others to show up, the room fell in to a heavy silence.
He glanced down at her left wrist. He wanted to aske, but didn't want to shut her down, at lest not yet. Whatever she's gongs to tell them she's worried it would upset him.
"Minato?"
"Hum?"
"D-Don't hate me."
"I can't say I won't but I'll try to see it through your eyes."
She nodded, licked her rose pink lips. Briefly glancing up at him, he frowned when he saw fear in her sea-green eyes.
He gently took her left-hand and ran his thumb across the back of it, it seemed to comfort her, and relax her a bit, despite the flinch.
It wasn't long before Inoichi walked in, then Tsunade who fussed over her, Minato noticed the smell of Sake but figured she had deserved a drink after what she confronted; besides she wasn't drunk. Finlay Shikaku made his way in looking half asleep.
Minato stood activated a level one privacy seal. He had even kicked his Anbu out.
"Alright Rachel, you can speak now, take your time." He said gently.
She nodded, he could already see a panic attack forming, Inoichi was also watching closely.
"I…..I um, from the very beginning I've been keeping a big secret." She begun, nervously as her eyes flickered around the room not resting on one person. Her breathing increased as her fear grew.
"I've…. Known who Tobi is, this whole time." The room was silent, they all new she needs to time to get the words out. "It wasn't' my intention to keep it from you, I thought things would go the same way the story I watched did…b-But I've come to realise me been here, and knowing what would happen has changed things. So, in a sense the plot has changed. Me hiding him won't help things." Her breathing had increased further, "Tobi transported me to an alternat universe, one was both Minato and Kushina survived, together they raise their daughter Naruko." She glanced up at Minato but he kept his face blank.
"There I met my brother, well Chi's brother, Jex it seems he was the one to survive, there I also met someone like me who died and got reincarnated as a baby, she was from my world, I saw there how much changed had occurred, and that world's Minato told me to stop clinging to my idea of this would. He was right. I see that now. things are already different here. Why not changing things to a world I want, a world I want to live in."
Minato looked eyes with Inoichi, they both new how much of a big step this was for her.
"So, we'll fight for the future we want. Tobi, is …..Tobi…..is…..Obito Uchiha."
Minato sucked in a breath. Corten pieces were now fitting together, the night Naruto was born and the night he lost Kushina, he had felt like there had been something familiar abut Tobi, but he was never able to put his finger on it. Now it all clicked.
His very own student was responsible for his wife's death, and the loss of so many others.
His mind faulted for a moment, as guilt weighed down upon him, he never verified Kakashi's events he never went back to retrieve his body or his Sharingan. If he had gone back to look and found the body not there, he would have sent out search teams to find the lost Uchiha. Would have declared him a missing Nin, maybe even prevented him from doing what he had done.
But he supposed there was no point in dwelling on the past. He needed to correct his previous errs and ever capture his way-would student or eliminate him.
He glanced at Rachel, he saw the fear in her sea-green eyes, she had hid it from him to protect him, he remembers her words "Because you'll go after people you're not ready to go after and get yourself killed" in her own way she was looking out of him. He understood that. It wasn't ideal for the village. But he had to remind himself she did not see it from a shinobi point of view, she saw it from a civilian point of view. A civilian who was not from this world. With a deep shuddering breath, he smiled gently at Rachel.
"I don't hate you; I understand why you kept it from me. I'm more hurt by Obito's actions. Why would he betray Konoha?"
"Rin…..he-he saw Rin's death, after that Madara promised him a world where she could live again. He twisted Obito's ideals brainedwashed him…in the show it was Naruto who snapped him out of it."
"I see, well, for now I'll declare him a missing Nin and warn other villages. Ideally I would like him alive but that might not be a possibly." He said grimly.
"I'll inform the council and of cause Fugue-sama" Shikaku says. Minato winced though things were better with the Uchiha, this news would not be welcomed.
"Shikaku make an S ranked secret. We don't need the villige turning on the Uchiha again."
With a nod Shaku left. Leaving Tsunade and Inoichi.
"Rachel, I need to go and let Jiraiya know by a summon, I won't be gone long." Minato says. Rachel nods.
"Hokage-sama I need to stay." Inoichi says "I'm sure by now my clone is low on chakra and I want to check the seal that's keeping her dark side at bay."
Minato nods and gives Rachel a smile before flashing away.
"Ok Rach let's see if we can make you more comfortable whilst Inoichi pokes thought your head" the Sannin says as green glowing hands send cooling chakra into her arm.
Inoichi approached the left-hand side of the bed. He had already noted the new scar on her wrist Now was not the time for questions. Though he had many.
"Will you receive his memory's?"
"Yes…. why?"
"I….Theirs…something happened I'm not ready to tell Minato about it yet."
Inoichi glanced down at her wrist.
"No, no that's….I did that because I saw Kushina alive and the gullet got to me…..i did it hurt not to end my life."
Though she had said those words he could still see the guilt in her eyes.
"Then what don't you want me to see?"
"I….I…uragh fine, there no way around it you need to give your clone chakra…..just know I'm confused and don't want to talk about it yet….i will…..talk …just not yet."
Inoichi hummed he will see it regardless. Though he was proud of her she has taken a massive step tonight. She no longer see's this world as a show she watched she sees it as a world she wants to love in.
That in his book is remarkable progress. Making the hand signs placing his hand on her head he entered her mind.
Naruko verse.
Jex paced and paced and paced some more. Nat had somehow escaped! He was currently been held for questioning he answered truthfully and honestly. Now he had to wait. He wasn't good at wating… with a frustrated sigh he ran his hand through his tussled dark blond locks.
"Jeez man calm down will ya? Your gunna give yourself a heart attack." Genma says flicking the Senbon to one end of his moth to the other.
"Nat's gone. She's gone, they think I helped her."
"Did you?"
"Hell, no! I mean I love her but not enough to break her out and end my career."
"Look, Man for what it's worth I believe ya. Inoichi believes ya, there nothing to worry about."
"I know, I know…..just…a lot has happened last few weeks." He sat his tall frame in the char opposite Genma. The Bandana wearing man gave him a sympathetic look.
"Yea. I heard about your sister…..when I say herd I was on duty that day…so…"
"She's gone home now, at least that what the Hokage told me. I'm a little sad that I didn't get to say a Propper fair well" Jex shrugged his shoulders.
"Ah, man she's better off in her world. She's happier there"
"Yeah, I know…I just can't help but think, what if she's stayed here? Or, or what if I went there to live with her?"
"You can't really be considering that man, right? I mean that's a shit in the storm kinda thing, she'll be or you will be leaving everyone you love behind. Not to mention the parallel universe Knowledge one of you will have. Who knows what will happen if one of you decides to stay!"
"Yea. I get it all the political stuff. But damnit Genma she's my sister or part of her is. I'd do anything to see her smile again. Even if it means giving up everything here."
"Yea. I here ya man, just don't rush in to this, Minato might not agree to this and we don't know what the other world Hokage is thinking!"
Jex nodded but deep down, he knew he wanted this.
Naruto verse.
Inoichi removed his hand from her head. Rachel looked up at him pleadingly.
"Alright, I see why you don't want to talk about it, but we will in the near future. For now, focus on recovering.
Rachel nodded relief evident.
"I'll be going now. I'll stop by sometime tomorrow to talk more." The Mind walker gave her a cheery wave, and swiftly left.
Rachel turned to Tsunade, who had a misty-eyed look.
"Tsunade?"
"Huh?" she looked up at Rachel, there was some sort of pain in her eyes.
"Are you ok?"
"Me? I should be asking you that question brat." Rachel blinked; she was upset but over what?
Rachel took a a guess "I'm, sorry."
"Sorry, for what brat?"
"For leaving again and getting hurt again, can't be easy on you or Minato"
"No, no it wasn't but it wasn't like you had a say in leaving."
"Then what's wrong?" Rachel asked gently looking questioningly at her, she was filled with worry for the honey eyed woman, as unshed tears glistened in her eyes.
"Tsunade?" Rachel reached up with her left hand gently touched the woman's face.
"I-I" she closed her eyes let a few tears escape, before taking Rachel's hand and pulling it away from her face, when she opened her eyes again Rachel saw that her mask was in place. She knew Tsunade and knew like herself likes to hide the pain. Only difference was Tsunade would drink hers away. Rachel would suffer in silence or hurt herself.
"She's pushed herself to near exsorgen, since you were taken." Minato says. Causing Rachel to jump and frown at him.
"When did you get back?" she asked.
"Just as Inoichi was leaving," he says approaching the bed. "I haven't set up seals yet and didn't want to leave you alone for too long. I have informed Jiraiya, he's surprised as we all are, but he'll look in to Tobi's movements more closely now."
Rachel nodded, turned back to Tsunade who had well and truly placed her mask back in to place. She was glaring daggers at Minato.
"Glare all you want Tsunade, the truth is the truth."
"Tch you were just as bad, staying up all night to do the paperwork." She hissed.
"True but I wasn't recovering from chakra micro surgery!"
"Well, I needed to stay on top of the flu epidemic otherwise we would have had half of the village, infected with it!"
"There's other medics."
"All who are needed at the hospital,"
Rachel giggled. She couldn't help it. They both cared for one another just in different ways. If she looked hard enough, she swore she could see the lighting between them, like in the anime she watched.
They both stopped there bickering and looked at her.
"Its good to be home." She smiles. And they both return it.
Suddenly they both stiffened looking to the end of the bed. Rachel saw a swirl as the room shifted. And in an intend Obito appeared with two Kakashi's and Rin.
Kakahis's were both supporting each other up, one of them was holding and unconscious Rin, Obito stood to the left holding on to one of the Kakashi's shoulders.
