Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of legendary Eyes. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.
Arata's thoughts shifted to Sarada among other things as his body continued to slowly stich itself back together.
"Hmm…" Arata felt bad, there was some topics for the time he hadn't… entirely been truthful with Sarada and the others on.
He was a warrior; he had been used to dealing with things on his own. Arata knew his clan wanted his Rinnegan, he had been trained to use it. he wasn't entirely honest when he said he didn't master it, he couldn't control the Rinnegan fully, but he was able to use the Dojutsu to a very expert extent.
"The first true friends I have who haven't tried something with me… who trusted me… and I lied to them like a coward, I don't deserve their kindness." He stated before sighting as his ribs cracked slightly.
Sarada was hunting these 'Fabrications'. Arata didn't know who these beings were, he did know Sarada and the others could handle themselves when it came down to a fight. she was a very skilled warrior. He had heard about how his clan had lost to Humans before. Arata didn't look down on humans, he just hadn't been on Earth long enough to form his own opinions on how the Humans made him feel.
(With Sarada)
Sarada wasn't stupid enough not to notice a Genjutsu. She also was smart enough to know the Fabrications weren't going to engage them head on again. They had lost a quarter of their combat strength; she also knew that meant she couldn't expect reinforcements from the village Shinobi.
She sighed, that meant they would have to handle this themselves. She couldn't handle these beings without Boruto, she didn't know if Mitsuki was working with the enemy, or openly serving them out of his own feelings.
There were far more factors then she felt like analyzing, but each drew a picture of an idea that could contribute to the victory or downfall of this assignment.
"What do you think they're going to do?" She heard from the others, she continued to think of what to do.
She hummed, if they tried to attack the group? They would risk civilian casualties which eliminated the idea.
Trying to lure them out could lead to them finding their hideout which would lead to their capture or elimination which would destroy any attempt to try and take back the city.
She couldn't do anything without Boruto and Arata back in the fight. Arata already pushed himself to the limits when it came down to defeating 2 of the Fabrications.
"Damn it, Arata." Sarada muttered and sighed with sheer annoyance.
(With Arata)
Arata sighed, knowing he was going to be out of the fight after another battle with the artificial creations. He was pushing himself when it came to defeating these monsters.
He was happy 2 of the group were gone, that made the next few fights manageable… still, he didn't know their abilities and while his skills made him good at combat? Strategy was something he tended to struggle without unless he was engaging the enemy and able to study their abilities when he fought them.
"Ugh, and without Sarada and Boruto, their going to defeat us… I'll never be able to finish another fight before they find us. they have an army, and Mitsuki. I can't engage Mitsuki since I can already tell he's far too much for me to be to handle." Arata muttered as he rubbed at his temples.
"I lied to my friend, I can't tell them the truth without burning any goodwill they have for me… there's also the fact that my clan is here, and the second that know things will go well for them? their wipe out everyone on this planet to get what they want, they've already done it before… so many graveyards, so many bodies, all that ash, smoke and death. They killed so many people, and for what?" Arata clenched his fists.
He felt his nails draw fresh ichor from his palms. The Otsutsuki were monsters, only out to kill others and destroy the galaxy to enhance themselves.
"They have to be stopped. Earth will die if they're not stopped, if they come back." Arata hissed, he sighed and turned back to dealing with his wounds. He needed to be ready when the time came to fight back.
His people had run rampant through the galaxy for far to long. They had left a warpath of death and destruction throughout the cosmos. He had to make sure they didn't bring down anything else… they wouldn't hurt anything else, he refused to let them.
He stood up, his body wracked with pain, but his mind was clear to the fullest extent.
"It's time to get to work." Arata said before being forced to sit back down and grunt in pain.
He would think of a plan when he could feel his legs once more.
