This one I think is cute and sweet. I hope you also like a slightly protective Amelia. Who does she protect, you will have to wait and see. Enjoy everyone.

Hogwarts seemed peaceful for the most part, I was walking with my brother. Lupin was expecting me after lunch, and Snape's Occlumency lesson ended an hour early. We were simply testing whether the depths of my ability to communicate, could go farther. It seemed that if I was close with the person, or could see their aura...then I could communicate with them.

Lunch was in an hour, as Draco and I now walked close to Hagrid's cottage. I had gone down and apologized to the half giant, Draco had joined me. Needless to say the man was surprised, by not one but two Malfoy's apologizing.

"A thank ye both, this is a difficult day...but A appreciate ye stoppin bi." He told us, I knew he was genuinely appreciative...but I knew this was a hard day for him. I turned and looked at Buckbeet, before looking to Draco. "Amelia, can A talk tae ye?"

"Sure." I replied. "Wait for me?" I asked my brother, he nodded and left. I walked into the small hut.

"A appreciate whit ye are doin child, but ye dinnae neit tae force yer brother tae apologize." Hagrid told me simply as he poured a small spot of tea.

I met his eye. "Hagrid, I'm not forcing him. I was going to come down here, when he found out..he asked to join." I explained. "He knows he acted like a bloody peacock...he knows it was wrong.

"Forgive me, if I don't believe that." He spoke, I noticed him becoming calmer the longer he was with me. His natural Scottish tongue seemed to damper down as he did. "But, I do reckon you have changed one Malfoy."

"We have spoken to my father, he has also tried to retract his statement." I told him, surprising him. "I wish we could do more."

"The Minister won't listen I bet….not surprising." Hagrid replied, he moved to take a sip of his tea. "I appreciate ye tryin, but there is nothing to be done..please go."

"Yes, Hagrid…I really am sorry...I wish I could make it right." I whispered.

The male stood, moving to me..before wrapping his arms around me. "You did, ye restored humanity into the Malfoy house."

I smiled at him, before walking out of his little house, he joined me, only for the trek out of the garden. Returning to Draco, near what looked like to be a worn down structure of the castle. He smiled down at me, but apparently to Granger he looked more sinister when she spotted us.

"You loathsome, foul, evil little cockroach!" She screeched, her wand going to Draco's throat..and mine went to hers. "You're no better than him!"

"Hermione no! He isn't worth it!" Ron cried.

My eyes narrowed, daring her to do something. "Make one move Granger, and my father will have you expelled and tried to Azkaban...don't think he won't." Though I doubted he would go far, he would however see to it that she was removed from the school. "Especially after he has retracted his statement on Buckbeet, not that the Minister will hear of it."

"What?" Potter asked, surprised.

"Both I and Draco explained that my brother here provoked the Hippogriff, and Draco is now grounded during Christmas." I replied simply. "So, if you attack my brother...it isn't in defense..it is in revenge..cold blood if you will." I told her simply.

"Be doing the school a favor." She growled.

"No, I would be doing the school a favor...because I would retaliate...and since you rub not only myself and Draco the wrong way, but all of Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and even Hufflepuff." I retorted simply. I wasn't sure if it was because I was on edge due to my lessons with Lupin later, with the fact I couldn't stop Buckbeet's execution, or due to the Malfoy blood that now pumped through my veins. I did know however, this girl who has tormented me for the past two years had a wand to my brother's throat. "Now, lower your wand...and I will lower mine." I told her simply, moving my fingers in the way Professor Snape showed me. Creating a duplicate of myself to take the wand from the know-it-all who looked surprised.

"What is going on?" The voice of Professor Snape asked, walking up.

Potter was quick. "Amelia threatened Hermione."

"Potter, if I wanted to threaten her...you would know it. I simply promised retaliation if she harmed my brother." I explained simply, looking at the man's dark eyes. "Professor Snape, I would never actively harm a fellow student."

I watched the tall man assess me, and felt him enter my mind. Allowing him to see the confrontation. "Miss Granger you and Mr. Potter, have just granted yourselves a month's worth of detention."

"What!? You believe her?" Granger snapped.

Draco spoke then. "You knew my sister had Occlumency lessons with Professor Snape, do you think he can't find the truth?"

The said Professor was eyeing Granger. "Miss Granger for your outburst, it does speak volumes. Where Potter will only have a month for withholding the entire truth. You will spend the next three months in detention with me."

Her brown eyes widened, before narrowing. "Give me my wand, Swan."

I looked at her, before handing her weapon to Professor Snape. "My name isn't Swan..it's Malfoy...Amelia Malfoy."

Draco and I walked away after that, letting the teacher finish the discipline; while we went and had lunch. After, my brother walked me to Lupin's office where my father, and mother were sitting. Shame filled me at what they were about to see, but there was nothing I could do about it. Except hug both of my parents tightly, and never let go.

"Nothing we see today, will make us think less of you…"My mother whispered softly, kissing my head.

Lupin walked in shortly after this was uttered from her lips, a smile on his face. "Good afternoon, Mr. And Mrs. Malfoy." He greeted my parents warmly, before turning to Draco and I. "Good afternoon Draco, Amelia...I hope your day has been fair so far."

This was something I genuinely liked about Lupin, sure something was off about his aura...but he was still genuinely kind. "Good afternoon, Professor." I replied.

He knelt down to look me in the eye, damn I really was short. "Now, I want you to know nothing can physically hurt you in this room. However, I do know that emotionally today will be trying; but we will go slow. When you need a break, no matter how often you need one..you can take it. When you have decided you are done with today you are done." He told me simply.

"Thank you." I told him, before he gently guided me to the chest.

"Take as long as you need." He whispered softly, allowing me to think about my father; my Muggle father.

I knew now that man may have been my father, but he was never my Dad. Turning my gaze to the gradient blond man, before looking back at the chest. I felt a sense of calm fill me, before once again my thoughts went to that night when I was wandering down the street. This, my family could have been a could be..not a definite. Nodding casually to Lupin, as he opened the chest.

The boggart bled out into the room, but instead of my childhood bedroom. It was the streets of London, which seemed to confuse my family. I could hear Draco explaining where this was, before the voices of a few policemen called out.

"Freeze!" I turned to look at them from behind, before turning to see a hooded man. None of the figures held faces, and I guessed this was because I hadn't actually been involved in this situation. The sound of gunfire rang out behind me, forcing me to turn.

My wand went up, as my voice was barely a whisper. "Riddikulus!" I cried in the harsh raspy sound. The bullets seemed to bounce off some sort of rubber object like a trampoline, turning into rubber balls. It still stood there in absolute stupor.

"Interesting." Professor Lupin muttered, before my father had me in his arms. "This fear was different from before?"

"My thoughts shifted to Diedra's words...if she hadn't interfered...I would be dead now." I explained, my eyes looking down. Shame filled me, as it was irrational for me to fear something that was never going to happen.

My father and mother both ran fingers upon me, his in my hair, her's my back. "You thought about something...that leads me to believe that what you fear is fear itself." The Professor explained, watching me. "That is actually a smart and understanding fear, as it is fear which can stop us cold."

I watched him. "I think it stems more from my past…."

"It does, but what is being manifested by the boggart are past experiences I reckon, with the exception of this one. You have a bit of fear upon your past, but that fear is being stemmed by fear itself." Professor Lupin explained. "It is completely rational, to hold on to painful memories from the past and turn them into your deepest fears."

I nodded softly, before looking at my father. "Thank you, Daddy."

"Oh..your welcome Princess." He smiled, kissing the top of my head. I laid down into his chest, listening as his heart was beating fast...and I couldn't help but wonder if it was really Voldemort my father feared...or what the most feared Wizard could do if he ever came back...what the unforgivable and dark man could do to our family. "I will always protect you." He cooed suddenly, which had my eyes closed in a mere instant. Just enjoying the sensation of security.

"Sweet flower." My mother whispered to me, her warm lips touching my head as well.

0.o.0

A few weeks went by, and Professor Snape had given us all a paper on the Transformation of a Werewolf. A lengthy one at that, but it was an interesting subject and a bit fun to dive into as well. I had been a bit annoyed at the class for making him repeat pg 394 over and over again. It wasn't complicated. However what had really annoyed me, was the fact I raised my hand to answer his question. He called on me, but Granger answered. Costing Gryffindor house points, because she has to be the center of attention.

No matter, however, as today I got to go to Hogsmead for the first time. I could actually get my family something nice for Christmas, and my Professors of course. I've made that a bit of my tradition, get or make the Professors all something..even if they weren't my teachers. They still needed to know they were cared for.

Draco had gone off with Crabbe and Goyle for a bit of guy time, and so I wandered around the small village just on the outskirts of Hogwarts. Everyone on my list was taken care of except for Professors Lupin and Snape. The former because I didn't really know him well enough to know what he would like, the latter...because nothing screamed out of what the man would like.

Eventually I had found Professor Lupin a small Gryffindor inspired lion figurine, the eyes were made of real topaz, and the body decorated in rubies. I hoped he would like it, especially since it was a rather pretty Galleon. Regardless however, that left me tracking through every shop...before I froze. In the window of the clothing store was a simple cloak clasp, a beautiful silver serpent on a black plaque, and emerald eyes. It was small, delicate, but I hoped it would be thoughtful. I mean I had noticed earlier in the week he had some trouble with the clasp he currently had.

"Good morning." The shopkeeper called me. "See something you like?" She asked.

"Uh yes, how much for this Slytherin clasp?" I asked softly, it must have been a strange request..as I wore my Gryffindor cloak.

"That would be 200 Galleons." My heart nearly exploded. I would have to be sure, Professor Snape never found out the price...he would probably find me mental.

"I'll take it." I whispered, I didn't need candy this year anyway.

"What is your name?" The woman asked, eying me critically.

"Amelia Malfoy." I replied simply.

Her brown eyes widened, before she nodded and quickly grabbed the clasp. "Would you like me to gift wrap this?" She asked.

"Please, in black if you can?" I asked, and she nodded. Handing me the package once I paid for it. I would be giving the packages to my Professors after the break, as I enjoyed seeing their expressions. It made me feel good to see the surprise in their eyes, and that they brighten. I can imagine not many students thought about them, and it sent a sadness to the bit of my heart. I even got lemon drops for Dumbledore, only because it wasn't fair to get the rest of the faculty something and not get him something.

Walking back to the castle, I saw Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle….they were running towards me terrified. "What's wrong?"

"We were pelted by someone invisible." Crabbe winced, as I gently touched his red cheek.

Taking out my wand, I gently healed any bruises and busted lips. "You said invisible?" I asked, remembering the end of the first year. "I know someone who owns an invisibility cloak….Potter."

"But, Potter isn't allowed-Oh!" Draco said, his eyes wide. "Snape would like to hear this."

I grinned. "Indeed, but Indeed have tags to write." I told him calmly.

"Just like a Malfoy!" Draco said with a large grin. "Spending a fortune."

"Brat." I teased.

"Mudblood." He replied with a large grin.

Again hoped you liked it.

1) How do you think Lupin and Snape will react to their gifts?

2) How did you feel about Draco apologizing to Hagrid?

3) How do you think Voldemort will ultimately react if he finds out about Amelia?

4) Do you think Bellatrix will hurt Amelia? Like she tortured Hermione?
