Chapter 34: Duel Distractions part 1

Bastion stood on a high cliff, staring out at the saw as the morning sun slowly began to rise. He took a deep breath, and stretched his arms, taking in the morning air. With his morning stretches done, and his head clear, he gazed back out at the waves. As he said in his thought "Ever since that duel with Camula, things have been eerily quiet…too quiet. When the next Shadow Rider arrives, it may be my turn to duel, and with two of the eleven Spirit Gates open, it's more important than ever…that I be prepared."

Bastion reached into his pocket and pulled out his own Spirit Key, the thin necklace thread tied to his belt loop. He stared at the Key for a short moment, then began to undo his blazer buttons. After opening his blazer, Bastion looked at the six decks he carried around on a vest. One deck was used on Chazz that day he dueled him for the chance at Obelisk Blue. Bastion had made these six decks to fit each attribute of monster cards. The one he used against Chazz, the one with that used a Water Dragon, was his WATER attribute deck. The other five were his FIRE, EARTH, WIND, LIGHT, and DARK decks. As he said in his thought "Good thing I'm well equipped." He took out one deck and began to look through the cards. Some he recognized from previous duels, but there was one that he didn't recognize at all. It was a monster card that showed an image of a small girl in white with a white lamb hat and red pompoms on her robes. It was a White Magician Pikeru.

Bastion raised an eyebrow and held up the card, as he asks, "Where on earth did this card come from?" He looked around a few times, then back at the card, shaking his head, as he said, "Silly distraction…" He placed the card back into the deck, as he said, "Nothing distracts me!"

At the Slifer dorm, Jaden, Syrus, and Chumley with Stan, Kenji and Blake with them were wasting the day away snoozing on a School day. But someone wasn't going to have that. Bastion crept quietly inside their dorm room, so he didn't make a peep. Quietly, Bastion summoned out Barrel Dragon as Bastion said covering his eats "Alright. Ready…" As he said, "Get set…" As he said, "And fire!"

With a shot fired, an orb blast, the boys all woke up, falling out of their beds. Stan and Blake woke up instantly as Chumley said, "Hit the snooze button!"

As Syrus said, "More like the snooze trigger!"

As Jaden said, "That's getting up with a bang…" He heard a chuckle and turn to see Bastion, turning off his duel disk as he asks, "Bastion?"

As Bastion said, "Good morning sleeping heads."

As Syrus said, "Yeah, well, it was good."

As Bastion said, "Yes. Now that we're all awake, how about some good old fashion daybreak duel exercise!"

As the boy asks, "Huh?"

As Bastion said, "One, two, draw! One, two, draw! One, two, draw!"

Jaden yawned as he, Stan, Chumley, Blake, Syrus, Kenji and Bastion went through some ridiculous dueling exercises Bastion had woken them up for.

As Jaden said, "Yeah, this was worth getting up for,"

As Syrus said, "Quiet," He drew a card as he said, "You'll make me lose count,"

Chumley looked over at the card Syrus just drawn. The card was an Effect Monster card, level 4, LIGHT Attribute, Thunder Type Monster, 1900 ATK points and 800 DEF points, which had the picture of a cute girl with red hair, small cat ears, and a leopard–skin leotard holding a set of drums. As he asks, "Hey, isn't that Thunder Nyan–Nyan?"

Syrus smiled and took the card back, as he said, "Yeah, it is. I got her a little while ago," He blushed lightly as he said, "I sorta have a card crush on her,"

As Chumley said, "A card crush, that's so lame, Syrus," Chumley pulled out a card and showed it to him, as he said, "Check out mine!"

Syrus laughed weakly as he looked at the Dian Keto the Cure Master card Chumley showed him, as he said, "Yeah…that's great, Chum, real pretty,"

As Chumley said, "I know," He withdraw the card as he said, "It so totally reminds me of my real girlfriend back home, her name is Sally…no, wait, Adrianna!"

Syrus turned around as he asks, "Hey, Jaden, you have any card crushes in your deck?"

Jaden grinned, stopping in his exercise, as he said, "Sure do! They bring loads of luck for me!"

As Stan said, "I was thinking about those thoughts."

As Blake said, "And knowing Syrus's history of 'going steady' with Dark Magician Girl," He playfully ruffle Syrus' hair as he said, "I bet he has more than just Thunder Nyan–Nyan as a card crush!"

As Syrus said blushing "Hey!" He got out of Blake's grip.

As Kenji said, "Hey, it's okay, man."

Then they heard someone asking, "I beg your pardon?!"

The boys turned back to see Bastion, with an unhappy look. As he said, "I thought we were training here!" As he said, "And training, gentlemen, not include standing around and talking about birds!"

Blade, Ryo, Ultraman and Sailor Moon appeared as Sailor Moon said, "Hello! I'm right here!"

As Blade said, "He can't hear you, Serena."

As Ryo said, "You're a duel spirit, remember?"

Sailor Moon sweat drop as she said, "Oh right."

As Ultraman said, "Don't let it get to you, Serena."

As Syrus asks, "Did he say 'birds'?"

Chumley leaned to the side as he said, "Ya know what? I'm starting to think that Bastion doesn't have a card crush,"

As Bastion asks, "A crush on a card?! Of course not!" As he said, "That's just illogical, irrational, and ridiculous!"

At that moment, a memory flash of the White Magician Pikeru card came to his mind and he stopped in his harsh words. Quickly coming back to his sense, Bastion shook his head, forgetting about the card. As he asks, "Look, let's just get back to our dueling exercises, alright?"

As Stan said, "Just ignore him guys," As he said, "I think he has one, but just won't admit it."

Syrus nodded as he said, "Sure, but I do have plans to play Solitaire with Thunder Nyan–Nyan in about fifteen minutes," He holds up the card.

As Bastion shouted "WHAT?!" Bastion's outburst made both Chumley and Syrus fall over, startled by Bastion. As Bastion said, "You'll be breaking that date, and soon, breaking a sweat!" His hand was going back to his duel disk, as he said, "Now, gentlemen, back to our duel training!"

Syrus groaned as he climbed to his feet, as he said, "That means the dog house for me, Nyan–Nyan hates it when I cancel on here…,"

Jaden glanced at Syrus as he said, "Somehow…I think she'll understand,"

Syrus looked up at him as he asks, "You think?"

As Chumley said, "Totally, it's not like she's a real girlfriend like Sally–er, Adrianna,"

As Stan said, "Yeah, we get it, Chum."

As Kenji said, "Bastion's not the only one who needs to admit something..." The six continued their dueling exercises.

Later that day, the Slifer Boys, Bastion, and a small handful of other students from different dorms sat in Banner's Alchemy class. Banner frowned at the sight of so many empty seats as he pets Pharaoh, as he said, "There certainly a lot of absences today. Perhaps there's a bug going around,"

As Bastion said in his thought "None that I've heard of." He looked at the empty seats as he said, "There's definitely something strange in the air…well…" His eyes roamed over to Syrus, Jaden, and Chumley, who were enjoying a well–earned, yet badly timed nap, as he said in his thought "Besides all that snoring."

As Kenji said, "Jaden…" As he asks, "You okay... you actually look tired other than sleeping by choice?"

The sound of the door hissing open made Banner turn to see a young lady in orange walking up to him, holding a duffel bag. As Banner asks, "Can I help you?"

As the women said, "Well," As she asks, "Do you recognize this bag?"

As Banner said, "Yes, it belongs to one of my students, why?"

While the girl whispered some more to Banner, Jaden woke up and saw what was going on. He took one look at the bag and knew that something was up, as did the other Key–Keepers that sat nearby.

After class was done, Jaden led Stan, Syrus, Blake, Kenji, Chumley, Bastion, Zeke, Bree, Banner, Chazz and Alexis through the woods, holding his own bag close to him. As he asks, "Wonder why that pack was left all the way out here…?"

Walking through a thick area of trees. Bastion nodded as he said, "Indeed…also, where the owner of the pack is right now?"

As Banner said, "I hope that no one is hurt,"

As Bree asks, "Maybe they just went camping and forgot about it?"

As Stan asks, "Or maybe lost their way around the forest?"

As Zeke said, "I don't think it's that simple…" As he said, "Everyone should know their way around the island by now, even in getting out of the forest area."

After what seemed like hours of walking, the group of duelists exited the forest and entered a large clearing, surprised at what stood before them. A very large stone and wooden structure loomed nearby, against a small cliff. It looked just like an old coliseum from ancient Rome or Greece.

As Jaden asks, "Where did this come from?"

As Bastion said, "I'm going in," Before taking off ahead of the others. The group ran, following him into the large building and stopped shortly after coming in.

Inside, stone seats and pillars decorated the interior of the coliseum. But that's not what got their attention. About a dozen of Academy Students from every dorm were in different areas of the coliseum, handling large stone blocks and working with ropes to drag the stones around.

Syrus pointed at one of them as he said, "That guy's from class!" Chumley pointed to another one as he said, "Him too!"

As Kenji said, "I have noticed that most of the students missing were guys," As he said, "Now we have living proof…"

As Banner said, "Oh my…" He pet Pharaoh.

Chazz scanned the area and his jaw dropped as his eyes widened when they landed on one worker in particular. As he shouted "CROWLER?!"

At Chazz's either surprised or horrified shriek, everyone else looked up to see Crowler trying to move a large stone block with a crowbar.

As Zeke asks, "What are you doing?"

Crowler looked at them and smiled proudly, as he said, "A man's work!"

As Banner asks holding his chin "A man's work?" As he said, "My, they must've been running very short on men,"

A loud roar made the group look back ahead to see a huge tiger standing right in front of them.

As Zeke said, "Oh no…" Before he could finish, the tiger roared again and began to run at the group.

Screaming, they all ran to a large pillar on the other side of the arena, not really wanting to be a part of the tiger's dinner. Banner looked behind him, as he asks, "First a coliseum, now a tiger! What's next, a gladiator?!" He followed his students into climbing up the large stone pillar.

As Crowler said over the tiger's growl "Actually, I think she prefers the term of Amazon!"

As Banner asks, "Amazon?!"

As Blake said, "I think he means her…"

Everyone on the pillar looked back behind the tiger to see an impressive looking woman. The woman had a well–built body, tight black pants, long red hair tied into a ponytail, a set of golden bracelets and a spike collar around her neck…and two long scars that went from above her right eye all the way down to her chin. To finish off her ensemble, she had this duel disk that had a perfectly straight field wing, and the entire disk was a silvery color with laced edges. The woman jumped off a high ledge and landed on the ground, smiling. As she said, "I must say, thanks to your friends, I've finally been able to finish my glorious arena!"

Jaden raised an eyebrow at the woman as the tiger went over to her, as he asks, "Arena…for what?"

The woman smirked as she petted the tiger, who was by the way, almost as tall as her as she said, "Dueling, of course,"

Jaden and the others watched as the missing students and Crowler lined up a short distance away. The woman pulled out a stack of envelopes and walked over to them, beaming. As she said, "Job, well done!" As she asks, "Who would've thought that Duel Academy students were such good laborers?" She started to hand out an envelope to each student, as she said, "Now, as promised, here's your payment. Some rare cards, which I might add, are very well deserved. Until next time, my friends,"

Crowler held out his hands expectantly.

The woman looked at him, as she asks, "What do you want?"

As Crowler said, "My rare cards of course!"

As the women said, "Uh…no."

As Crowler asks, "What?!" As he asks, "Why not?!"

As the women said, "Because… well, I'll be honest, you look ugly and repulsive."

As Crowler said, "Why you…"

But was stopped by the tiger, Bass. The huge feline stepped in his way, growling loudly. The tiger then roared and that got Crowler to scream, turn around and run away out of the arena.

Blade, Decade, Ryo, and Sailor Mars appeared as Decade asks, "Crowler runs real fast, huh?"

As Ryo said, "Yeah."

As Blade said, "Though running away from a huge tiger you kinda have to be."

As Sailor Mars said, "Uh huh."

As Stan said, "Well…that happened."

As Jaden asks, "What the heck's going on?"

The woman chuckled and turned around, facing him, as she said, "I'm setting up the stage, Key–Keeper, for your vanquishing. I'm one of the Shadow Riders," As she said, "Tania, the Amazon!"

As Syrus asks, "A Shadow Rider?" As he said, "Oh man…"

As Chumley said, "You mean 'Oh wo–man'," Walking beside him and Alexis as he said, "Amazons are a warrior race of all females."

As Alexis said, "Wow… you go, girl!"

As Bree said, "Totally!"

Tania nodded a little, as she said, "Now that the battleground is complete, it's time that we battle! Now…which of you big strong men will it be?" Before looking at Alexis and Bree as she said, "After all, I'd never harm a sister,"

As Alexis said, "Hey, don't do us any favors,"

As Blake said, "Well, at least the girls are safe…"

As Kenji said, "I'm guessing, she has cards that can't mess with female monsters," As he said, "Both of which Bree's, Stan's and Alexis' deck mostly comprise of."

As Tania asks, "So, who wants to be the first one to duel and lose?"

As Jaden said, "Right here!"

As Chazz said, "Yours truly!"

As Bastion said, "I'll duel you!"

As Zeke said, "I'll take you!"

As Stan said, "Bring it!"

As Kenji said, "Let's go!"

As Blake said, "I'm game!"

As Banner said, "Uh…" Banner turned around and walked to the edge of the wall, as he said, "I'm good for now…,"

Alexis and Chumley sweat dropped at Banner's attitude, but didn't say anything at the moment.

Tania looked at the boys, as she said, "Hmm… if this is really the best you have to offer, then I guess I'll pick…" She pointed at the third duelist as she said, "…you!"

All the boys looked at Bastion, who was smiling a little bit.

As Jaden said, "Well, I guess you can't duel 'em all,"

Walking back to join his friends, Chazz and rest of the gang joining.

Tania and Bastion walked towards each other, leaving enough distance to duel to commence. As Tania asks, "What's your name?"

As Bastion said, "Bastion. Bastion Misawa,"

As Jaden said, "C'mon, go get her pal!"

As Syrus said, "Don't go easy on her because she's a girl!"

As Chumley said, "She's not like a girl I've ever seen,"

As Blade said, "Bastion has to be careful, Amazons are female warriors, but they can be tough to beat."

As Ryo said, "Yeah, this is gonna be a challenge."

As Bastion said, "Alright, let's do this," Then opened his blazer to reveal his Deck Vest, as he asks, "The only question is which Deck I shall use?"

As Tania said, "Really. I have that problem, too. I have two Decks," Holding up two separate set of cards. As she said, "One is a Deck of Knowledge, and the other is a Deck of Courage. Why don't you go ahead and pick which one for me to use?"

As Bastion said, "Fine then," Bastion looked at the Decks for a moment, as he said, "I'll pick the Deck of Knowledge,"

Tania chuckled as she inserted her Knowledge Deck into her disk, as she said, "Nice choice…"

As Bastion said, "Thank you, but it's not nearly as the choice I'm making for myself,"

Bastion looked down and took the middle Deck on the left side of his vest, as he said, "I select my EARTH attribute Deck," Slipping it into the disk.

As Tania said, "Let us begin!" Turning on her duel disk as she said, "Don't worry, this isn't a Shadow Game…"

As Bastion asks, "Beg your pardon?"

As Tania said, "You heard me," Moving from side to side in her place, as if filled with giddy, as she said, "I want you, Bastion."

That caused Bastion to almost fall over.

As Stan asks, "I'm sorry, say what?" As he asks, "This isn't a Shadow Game?"

As Blade asks, "Did you hear what she just said?"

As Ryo said, "Yeah, I heard her."

Ultraman appeared as he said, "Me too."

As Tania said, "It's like this: my tribe is all women. So, to marry, I gotta shop around,"

As Bastion asks, "To marry?!"

As Tania said winking at him "That's right… so let's do this,"

As Stan said, "I am glad I didn't get picked,"

As Alexis said, "And if she did, I'd hurt her…" As she said narrowing her eyes "Very badly…" Everyone but Stan scooted away from her sensing her anger.

Both Tania and Bastion drew their cards as their points went to full count. As they shouted at the same time "DUEL!"

Bastion: 4000

Tania: 4000

As Tania said, "I'll start this duel," She draw her card as she said, "And first, I'll summon the Amazoness Swordswoman in ATK mode!"

A female warrior appeared with more muscle than most woman should have. She had long, fiery, red hair, wearing a skimpy, blue bikini and some jewelry made of teeth. In her right hand, she carried a very large sword that looked to be made two–handed. (4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1600).

As Tania said, "Then I'll place one card facedown and end my turn."

As Bastion said, "I'm up then," He drew his card as he said, "I summon to the field Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus in ATK mode!"

A machine Monster carrying a slab–like shield and strange rectangular armor appeared, labeled with the Plus symbol. (4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1500).

As Bastion said, "Now, Magnet Warrior, attack that Amazoness!" He pointed a Swordswomen as he said, "Lode Stone Baton Bash!"

Magnet Warrior raised its staff as it charged with crackling energy as it collided with the Swordswoman, destroying her. But something was wrong.

Bastion: 3700

Tania: 4000

As Syrus asks, "Uh… why did Bastion lose Life Points instead of Tania?"

As Tania said, "That's because of my Amazoness Swordswoman's special ability." As she said, "Whatever Damage I would've taken will be dealt to Bastion instead."

As Chumley said, "Bastion walked right into that one,"

As Alexis said, "That's not like him at all…"

As Jaden said, "Or maybe it is," As he said, "Sure, Bastion has fewer Life Points at the moment, but Tania has fewer Monsters!" As he said, "Smart move!"

As Tania said, "Yes…at least, until I play my facedown card!" Her card became upright as she said, "It's called Pride of Tribe. This Trap card activates whenever an Amazoness' is destroyed, and it lets me summon another one from my deck. Who's the smart one now?" Another Amazoness Swordswoman appeared on her field, as she said, "You see, you miscalculated with that last move. After all, now we have the same amount of monsters…but not the same amount of Life Points!"

Bastion looked at her, breathing deeply, then slipped a card into his disk, as she said, "Fine. I'll place a card facedown… and that will suffice."

Tania at that point, suddenly got all dreamy, as she said, "That will suffice? Say it again!" As she said, "It sounded so cool!"

Syrus turned to Jaden, as he said, "You know, I think it's been a couple of years since Tania's been with a guy, Jay…"

As Jaden said, "Couple of years, Sy? Try decades… this chick is man–crazy!"

Tuxedo Mask and Ryuki appeared as Tuxedo Mask said, "Tania really reminds me of some people."

As Decade said, "If you're referring to Serena, Mina, and Lita then yes."

As Ryuki said, "They go man crazy for every cute boy they see."

Then Sailor Moon, Jupiter and Venus appeared, and they heard what they said as they ask at the same time "What's that supposed to mean?!"

The boys fall over to the ground.

Bastion smiled a little, as he said, "I'm quite flattered, but I'm well aware of what you're trying to do. You're trying to distract me, but I'll tell you right now my dear, it's not going to work, I'm too focused,"

As Tania said, "Oh, are you? We'll see about that," She drew her card as she said, "I play the Amazoness Blowpiper!"

A blue haired Amazon woman in green clothing holding a blowpipe appeared. (3/ATK: 800/DEF: 1500).

As Bastion said, "And I play my facedown!" He revealed his facedown as he said, "Magnet Force Minus! With this card activated, it can be equipped to one Monster, and the equipped Monster becomes a Minus Monster."

The card shot out red electricity at Blowpiper.

As Bastion said, "And from there dear, it gets interesting. You see, two Minus Monster, well, I'm afraid they're not allowed to do battle with each other. But a Minus and a Plus. If they're out, then they must fight!"

As Tania said, "So if Amazoness Blowpiper is a Minus Monster…"

As Bastion said, "And Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus is a Plus Monster, it's on!" Red and green electricity collided with each other. As he said, "I heard that old quote: Opposites attract. Well, I'm afraid it's true."

As Tania said, "I know… I mean, just look at the two of us."

As Bastion said, "Oh, stop it!"

As Tania said, "Stop it? Why don't I stop you, from winning this battle instead, I play, Amazoness Spellcaster! Now one Amazoness on my side of the Field, and one Monster on your side of the Field, exchange ATK points!"

As Bastion asks, "What?!"

The red and green electricity switched sides. (3/ATK: 800–1800/DEF: 1500). (4/ATK: 1800–800/DEF: 1500).

As Syrus said, "This is bad." As he said, "Bastion is going to be outmatched."

As Tania said, "Attack, Amazoness Blowpiper!"

Blowpiper fired a dart that corkscrewed towards the machine magnet warrior and made a hole on it, before the magnet warrior exploded into pixels.

Bastion: 2700

Tania: 4000

As Tania said, "And now, Amazoness Swordswoman, will attack you directly! Go! Amazon Slash Attack!"

Swordswomen leaped up and hacked at Bastion with her sword making Bastion grunt.

Bastion: 1200

Tania: 4000

As Tania said, "That was fun."

As Bastion asks, "But…how?" As he said, "That's two times in a row that she's managed to outthink me…"

As Tania said, "I guess we know where our kids are going to get their smarts from…"

As Bastion asks, "What?! Our kids?!" As he said, "We're enemies! Rivals!"

As Tania said, "During this duel, yes, but afterwards, we'll be betrothed to each other. Just think about it: you'll be Mr. Tania the Amazon Woman!"

The spectators groaned at the idea.

As Bree said, "That's not painting a good image there…"

As Bastion said, "You're relentless," As he asks, "Truly, are you that smitten with me?"

As Tania said, "I prefer in love!"

As Bastion said, "You hardly know me!"

As Tania said, "I know enough… my little sugar booger,"

As Blake said, "Hey Bastion! Get your head out of the clouds!"

As Bastion said in his thought "Keep your cool, Bastion, she's just trying to distract you." As he said in his thought "Like those silly card crushes distract Syrus and Chumley." He thought about Thunder Nyan–Nyan and the Cure Master and their affects on the Slifers, but then he thought about the White Magician Pikeru he found in his deck.

As Bastion said as he gripped his head "No!" As he said, "I'm above all this!"

As Jaden said, "Bastion sure is acting weird…"

As Stan said, "Love works in mysterious ways dude…"

Bastion turned and glared at them, as he said, "Quiet! I'm not in love!" As he said in his thought "And I'll prove it by taking Tania down!"

Bastion turned back to his opponent, as he said, "My turn!" He draw his card as he said, "Right, I play Magnet Conductor Plus! This lets me take a Plus Monster from my Graveyard and add it to my Hand and I take back my Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus!" The card gave out of the Graveyard and added it to his Hand. As he said, "But it won't be around for long, because I discard Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus and Magnet Warrior Omega Minus to Special Summon my Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus!"

A big purple and yellow loaded with its big cannons appeared. (7/ATK: 2700/DEF: 1300).

As Bastion said, "And I'll activate its special ability! It can take half the ATK points of one Magnet Monster on the Field and add it to its own until the end of the turn! And your Amazoness Blowpiper qualifies!"

Red electricity shot out to the big machine powering it up. (7/ATK: 2700–3100/DEF: 1300).

As Jaden said, "He's got her outmatched now!"

As Bastion said, "Now Linear Magnum Plus Minus, attack Amazoness Blowpiper! Polarizing Pulverizing Blast!"

The cannon from the machine powered up to maximum and shot it out to the Amazoness Blowpiper destroying her into pixels and making Tania grit.

Bastion: 1200

Tania: 1700

As Bastion said, "And I'll place two facedowns and that'll do."

Linear Magnum Plus Minus' ATK points returned to normal. (7/ATK: 3100–2700/DEF: 1300).

As Tania said, "What a move!" As she said, "No wonder I'm in love with you! And, sweetie, because I do, I have to beat you," She became serious again and drew her next card. As she said, "And with Amazoness Swordswoman, special ability, when if sheloses, you'll still lose Life Points! Now Amazoness Swordswoman, strike down Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus with Amazon Slash Attack!"

As Bastion said in his thought "This is it! I better think fast or this duel is going to be over fast!" Swordswomen came flying at his Monster. As he said, "Sorry, Tania, but I play a facedown!"

Bastion pressed another button on his disk, as he said, "Power Off! Now, my Plus Minus monster reverts back to the two monsters that originated him!"

Tania watched as the Plus Minus split into two separate Magnet Warriors just as her Swordswoman slashed. (4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1500). (4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 600).

At the point, the move caused her to miss the attack. As Tania said, "No fair!"

Jaden stood up and clapped, as he said, "Tight move!"

Bastion closed his eyes and nodded calmly, as he said, "Yes, I agree…"

She brought yet another of the savage women. She was dressed in a white bikini top and loincloth, and also a hood and tattered cape. Her long, blonde hair fell down to her waist from under it. She held a sword that wasn't as big as Swordswoman's but looked more finely made. (4/ATK: 1700/DEF: 200).

As Tania said, "With Paladin on the Field, she gains 100 extra ATK points for every Monster on the Field that has Amazoness in its name,"

As Tania said, "Next, I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn," Tania slipped them into her disk.

As Tania said, "Speaking of moving, sweetie," Tania looked at Bastion longingly while chewed on her thumbnail a little, as she said, "I think… its best that you move in with me… you know, after we get married? Oh, we'll have the coziest home sweet home!"

Bastion stepped back with his hand over his chest and his face turning a little red. As she said, "I simply can't help myself!" As she said, "I'm simply head over heels!"

But their pleas were ignored as Bastion was all too smitten by her. As he said, "My turn!" He draws his card while still having a blush on his face as he said, "First off, I summon Magnet Warrior Sigma Minus on the Field in ATK mode!"

A green and grey machine with a spiked club appeared (4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1800).

As Bastion said, "And now I'll activate my facedown! 100,000 Gauss!" He revealed his facedown as he said, "You see, I can activate this when I have a Minus Monster and a Plus Monster on my Field. This lets me switch one of your Monsters to ATK mode and it drains that Monster's ATK points by 800! And I choose Amazoness Paladin!" (4/ATK: 1900–1100/DEF: 200).

As Jaden said, "That's sweet!" As he said, "Now, Bastion has all the Monsters beat! This duel is in the bag!"

As Tania said, "I would think so too, if not for my facedown card, Dramatic Rescue!" She pressed a button on her disk and soon her Paladin disappeared, as she said, "By returning one Monster from the Field to my Hand, I can summon a different one! You're about to see that this one is very different. I summon Amazoness Tiger in ATK mode!"

At that point, Bass appeared. (4/ATK: 1100/DEF: 1500).

As Tania said, "And don't try catching this tiger by the toe, because she gains 400 extra ATK points for every Amazoness on the field!"

As Tania said, "And, when this card is out, you're not allowed to attack any other Amazoness except it,"

As Alexis asks, "He has no choice?" As she asks, "He has to attack the Tiger?"

As Bastion said in his thought "Simple," As he said in his thought "I have three Magnet Warriors out. I'll use Omega Minus to destroy Amazoness Tiger, then Sigma Minus to destroy Amazoness Swordswoman, and then I'll use Sigma Plus to attack Tania directly and win the duel." As he said, "Fun duel, my dear, but I'm afraid that it's about to be over," He pointed at the tiger as he said, "Go! Magnet Warrior Omega Minus, attack and tame that Amazoness Tiger!"

Tania chuckled as Bastion's Magnet Warrior marched to her tiger, as she said, "You must be distracted, because you would've seen that I have a Trap. Go, Amazoness Archers!"

Bastion looked at card, stunned.

As Stan said, "Oh no! It's over!"

As Tania said, "Sorry, hun, but now all of your Monsters lose 500 ATK points and they're all forced to wage battle!"

As Syrus said, "But if that happens, he'll be forced to attack that Tiger!"

As Jaden said, "And it has more ATK points than any of them!"

As Chazz said, "He walked right into a Trap!" As he asks, "What was he thinking?!"

As Banner said, "That's just it. With all that love talk, I doubt he was!"

Pharaoh just meowed.

Tania looked up as the Magnet trio leapt at her, as she said, "Now, Amazoness Tiger, show Bastion that opposites don't just attract, but they attack. Sic 'em with Fang Frenzy!"

With amazing speed, the Tiger flew the three Magnet Warriors, ripping them apart. As soon as the tiger landed, the Field was covered in a thick cloud of smoke as the Magnet Warriors were destroyed.

Bastion looked at her, smiling as he said, "I'm… all yours," Before falling onto his face. His key was visible before it disappeared with a glow.

As Jaden said, "Bastion!" Jaden leapt over the wall and ran towards his friend.

As Stan asks, "Hey! Are you alright?!"

Tania looked behind her, as she said, "Oh, Bass…"

The large tiger roared and started to chase the others towards the gate. They were soon out, and the gate closed. As Jaden said, "That… was… close…" He ran up to the gate, gripping the bars. As he said, "Bastion!"

As Tania's voice said, "Sorry, but Bastion and I are gonna have our honeymoon. So, get lost!"

As Jaden shouted "THIS ISN'T OVER! YOU HEAR ME! IT'S NOT OVER!"

Bastion lost to Tania, not only he belong to her, Tania took his Key Keeper Key. What will happen next?
