A/N: slycooper1 (chapter 25): I think it's Mufasa too. Afterall, Mufasa still lives in you even though he is dead. It's the circle of life. And thank you. I'm glad you liked the chapter :)
Anyways, here is Chapter 27 for you all! And as always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. There will be a bit of reference from the second movie too as to remind you guys too. Without further or do, here is Chapter 27.
"I don't know. I really don't know. I miss Chaka every day. It's a pain in my heart that I can't seem to move on. I have not fully moved on from him. He's been going through my mind ever since I had the nightmare and flashback. I just feel so damn guilty. If I had convinced him to try and talk to you when we were two months old then Chaka wouldn't be dead. He would've escaped with us. Not only that, but he would also be living a healthy life after Scar died. I-I just... don't know anymore. I really don't know what's the point in life anymore without him. I'm not so sure if I can continue without him." - Kopa
Chapter 27: The Future Queen Is Born
A month has passed and it was time for Nala to give birth. Simba was pacing back and forth outside the birthing cave waiting on the news on Nala and on the cub. "Dad, don't worry," Aisha said as she and her sister, Kali watched from the sidelines. "Everything's going to be alright."
"Aisha's right dad," Kali put in. "Mom and our new sibling will be just fine."
"I know they will be fine," Simba said still pacing. "I just wish someone would tell me what's going on."
"Well relax dad will ya?" Aisha said. "You're pacing doesn't really do anything."
"Aisha I..." Simba began but he was interrupted by Sarabi coming onto the scene. "Mom," Simba said running over to his mother with Aisha and Kali right behind him. "How's Nala? Is the cub here?"
"Nala's fine honey," Sarabi said with a smile. "She just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl."
"It's a girl?" Simba said with a smile of his own. "I have a daughter!"
"Yay new sister!" Kali exclaimed.
"Well too bad for Kopa," Aisha said. "He's probably not going to be too happy with the news."
"Speaking of Kopa," Kali said, looking around to see if Kopa was around. "Where is he at?" Aisha looked around as well and realized Kopa wasn't around.
"Where could Kopa be?" Aisha wondered. "Wasn't he supposed to be here?"
"Yeah," Kali said. "That's strange. He was here moments ago."
"Unless," Aisha said, trailing off hoping that her brother wasn't in another confrontation with Kibwe.
"Unless what Aisha?" Kali asked.
"Unless if he's in another confrontation with Kibwe," Aisha said. "They've been going at it for a while now."
"They've always been going at each other," Kali said, rolling her eyes. "It's getting rather annoying already."
"It sure is," Aisha muttered. "I think I should go look for Kopa."
"But Aisha," Kali began.
"You, dad, and Grandma Sarabi go inside and be with mom and our new sister," Aisha said. "I'm gonna go find Kopa myself." With that, Aisha went to go find Kopa.
"Well dad," Kali said, looking at her step-father. "Let's go inside to see my new sister." With that, the trio went inside the cave to see Nala and the newborn princess.
Meanwhile, at the watering hole, Kopa was in a confrontation with Kibwe. "Look," Kopa snapped. "I'm sick and tired of your bullshit Kibwe. One more word about my brother and I will rip you to pieces!"
"Oh Kopa really," Kibwe said, rolling his eyes in annoyance. "Do you really think I'm scared of you? No, I'm not. I can say things how they are. Besides, your brother is Scar's son after all."
"Are you really trying to test my patients right now?!" Kopa snarled, his teeth clenched.
"What if I am Kopa?" Kibwe said with a monotone. "I really do enjoy making you mad. You look better when you're mad. So I will say it again. Your brother is Scar's son. He would most likely become like him because of how he looks. His emerald eyes and his fur color are the reasons why he will become just like his father."
"Just because he has Scar's features doesn't mean that he will be anything like him," Kopa snapped.
"Oh but he would though Kopa," Kibwe said. "Besides your just like your father. He was abusive and so are you."
"That's it I had it!" Kopa roared furiously. "You've pushed it too far! I'm gonna rip you to pieces!" With that, Kopa went to go lunge at Kibwe, while Kibwe did the same thing. But before they could do anything, they heard a voice say, "Kopa!" Both lions skitted to a stop and looked to see Aisha running up to them.
"Why are you here Kopa?" Aisha demanded, glaring at her older brother. "You were supposed to be at Pride Rock."
"Well I'm sorry that I left," Kopa snapped. "Kibwe was testing my patience and I wanted to give him a piece of my mind."
"Kopa why can't you just ignore him?" Aisha groaned. "It's getting annoying that you're always going to confront Kibwe after every hurtful word he says."
"It's just too hard to Aisha," Kopa declared. "He just likes testing my patients."
"Just ignore him Kopa if he's going to say them," Aisha said with annoyance. "Or better yet walk away from him. Confronting him only makes things worse. Besides, your new sister is born."
"New sister?" Kopa said.
"Yes," Aisha said with a smile. "Our new sister is here."
"I have a sister," Kopa exclaimed.
"Well then let's go see her shall me?" Aisha said. With that, Aisha and Kopa began to head back to Pride Rock. However, Kopa looked back at Kibwe with a glare as he kept walking.
"I'll deal with you later you sick bastard," Kopa thought with a growl. "Just because me and Chaka have terrible fathers doesn't mean that we're going to be just like them. Even if we look like them. Chaka looks nothing like Scar. He doesn't even look like mom either. Yes, he may have a lot of Scar's features, but they were lightened by mom's genes. So you better think before saying shit like that." With that, Kopa walked back to Pride Rock with Aisha, still thinking of ways to get Kibwe back.
Five minutes later, Kopa and Aisha returned to Pride Rock. They then went inside the birthing cave to see their mother laying in the middle of the cave with Simba and Kali right beside her. Nala moved her paws to reveal a golden bundle of fur there. Kopa's eyes went wide in shock. "That is most certainly a pleasant surprise," Kopa thought to himself, his eyes still wide. "She has the same fur as Simba, Aisha, and Kali."
"Oh mom she's so adorable," Aisha cooed smiling at the newborn, interrupting Kopa's thoughts. "Isn't she Kopa?" she asked her brother and also looking at him.
"Yes," Kopa said after a minute. "She looks just like you Kali." Kopa looked at Kali when he said that last part.
"I know she does," Kali said with a smile. Just then the cub began to stir. To Kopa's shock, a pair of amber eyes were staring back at him. "How can that she has the same eyes as Kali?" he wondered.
"My father had amber eyes," Simba informed his step-son. "She must have gotten it from my father."
"Oh ok," Kopa said. "A little Kiara certainly is a blessing."
"Kiara?" Nala said with confusion. "You want her to be called Kiara?"
"Of course," Kopa said. "It went through my mind. Besides, I like the name Kiara too."
"I agree," Aisha said. "I think Kiara is a perfect name for her."
"Well welcome to the world little Kiara," Kopa said, smiling at his new half-sister. With that, the royal family spent the rest of the day admiring the new princess.
The next day, Kopa was woken up by someone nudging him. "Ugh, why do you have to insist on waking me up now?" Kopa said with annoyance. "I want to freakin' sleep."
"Sorry Kopa," Kali said. "But it's soon going to be Kiara's presentation."
"Why now?" Kopa whined. "It's still dark outside."
"But the presentation will be soon," Kali said. "You should have slept early so that you wouldn't be whiny."
"Whatever," Kopa muttered, rolling his sea-green eyes. He got up and stretched his body. With that, Kopa and Kali went outside the cave
A few hours later, all the animals were gathered for Kiara's presentation. Simba and Nala walked up to the promontory of Pride Rock with Nala carrying Kiara. She then gave Kiara to Rafiki. Zazu bowed. Rafiki then held Kiara high for the animals to see. The animals began to cheer for joy. Just then, Mufasa's image from the clouds appeared. Mufasa smiled down at his granddaughter. Mufasa's breeze then went through Simba and Nala's furs. And then the breeze went to Kopa, Aisha, and Kali. Kopa looked up and saw his grandfather, smiling at him. And then finally, the breeze went to Kiara, who tried to catch the leaves. As Kopa was watching the presentation, he had a bit of sadness. He was missing his brother and dearly wished that he was sitting beside him, watching Kiara's presentation. After the presentation was over, Rafiki put the traditional fruit juice on Kiara's forehead. Simba and Nala then went to nuzzle their daughter. On the sidelines, Timon and Pumbaa couldn't help but smile. Kopa, Aisha, and Kali walked to the promontory of Pride Rock to smile at their new half-sister.
"Ah, Pumbaa look at the little guy!" Timon declared. "A chip off the old block. And you got to know who's gonna raise him."
"His parents?" Pumbaa suggested.
"Okay, sure, get technical but who's gonna teach him the really important stuff, like how to belch," Timon let out a loud burp to demonstrate. Aisha and Kali rolled their eyes in annoyance. Timon then jumped off Pumbaa's head and landed beside Simba and his family.
"I'm telling you, buddy, Timon declared. "It's gonna be like old times - you, me, and the little guy."
"It is a girl," Rafiki chuckled knowingly
"Girl," Timon corrected. "Girl?!" both Timon and Pumbaa cried. Then Timon and Pumbaa swooned backward and hit the ground. Kopa, Aisha, and Kali just rolled their eyes. Then Kopa, Aisha, and Kali with Simba and Nala right behind them went inside the royal cave to get some much-needed rest.
A/N: And here is the start of Simba's Pride. Although there will be some stuff changed though from what you see from the movie of course. Kiara is now born. And Kopa is as moody as ever! He's right now a year and ten months old. Even his sisters can be a bit moody. His sisters are a year and a month old now.
I hope you guys don't mind me having Kiara being Simba's only biological child. After all, she is canon. And this is my story too.
Anyways, that's it for Chapter 27. See you all later in Chapter 28!
