(There is some gore in this Chapter. So if you don't like blood and interrogation then don't read the last part. There isn't much though!)
It was night-time in Beach City, Matthew had decided to go for a walk down the Beach to think, it was peaceful and relaxing until Matthew had a sudden pain in the side of his neck and everything faded to darkness.
Garnet was running through the forest panicking, she didn't expect this vision to come true … it was so unlikely … but yet, there she was trying to catch up with the mysterious gem that captured Matthew. She managed to catch up just in time to see the gem boarding the ship with Matthew, but before she could do anything the gem spoke up.
(Moonstone) "It's no use, I'll be taking him to a special place where we'll interrogate everything we need out of him." As she finished the door closed and the ship started to take off.
(Garnet) "NO! I WON'T LET YOU …" Garnet tried holding onto the ship but to no avail, the ship sped away leaving her alone in a dark forest. "I'm sorry Matthew … I'm so so sorry … I should've prepared for this!"
Garnet ran as quick as she could back to the temple, she needed to get everyone together and find a way to get Matthew back. It didn't take her long to get into the Beach House and call every down. "EVERYONE! THIS IS IMPORTANT! EMERGENCY CRYSTAL GEM MEETING, GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" She was trying her best not to fall apart right there, she couldn't, she needed to be strong.
It didn't talk too long for everyone to be in the Beach house, it was lucky some attachments were made so everyone could have a room in the beach house. Everyone gave questioning looks to Garnet who stood there silently.
(Peridot) "What's the meaning of this? It so late, I don't want the gemlings to wake up."
Garnet took a deep breath; she knew how everyone would react … especially Peridot. "Matthew … he's been kidnapped."
Once that last word had been spoke everyone screamed "WHAT?!" in fear and disbelief. Garnet knew she had to take control of the situation. "Everyone stay calm, we're going to get him back. It was a moonstone that took him, she said something about taking him to a special place to interrogate him. Any idea where that could be? Peridot … Rubies?"
Peridot was the quickest to shake her head, she didn't know that there was a special place to interrogate people … the Rubies were lucky enough to know exactly where it is. Doc stepped up and shared the information. "We think that she might be taking him to Homeworld, it the only place that has an interrogation building. It's located within the old kindergarten on the planet."
Peridot was shocked, surely they wouldn't interrogate him … he's a human. "We have to go get him! I'm not losing him … I can't …" It didn't take long for Peridot to break down in tears, Steven was quick to comfort her while Garnet still took charge. "Okay so here's the plan, Peridot, you and lapis will have to stay here and look after the gemlings. I know you want to come but the gemlings need their mother. Rubies, you're going to fly me, Pearl, Amethyst, Bismuth and Steven to Homeworld. I think I know how we are going to get Matthew back!"
Everyone was quick to nod and got the proper things for the journey. Steven made sure to bring some extra food, water and clothes for Matthew just in case he needs them while the Rubies prepared their ship for take-off. Garnet stood next to the ship looking at all the gems. "Is everyone ready? This is going to be difficult but as long as we stay together we can do this!" Everyone nodded and boarded the ship, except Lapis and Peridot. They held the gemlings in a small box. "Don't worry Peridot, I'll make sure that I … We get Matthew back!"
Peridot gave a small smile. "Thank you, please take care of yourself …"
Garnet gave a thumbs up before boarding the ship. It would take a couple of hours to get to Homeworld, so without any more stops, the ship left Earth.
-Homeworld-
Matthew woke up to a plain white room strapped to a chair, he could remember much other than being on the beach and feeling a pain in his neck. His thoughts were cut short with a tall gem entering the room, she was light blue, similar to sapphire but wore a Standard Dark Blue Homeworld uniform with a yellow diamond at it's certain. Her gem was located on her chest, it was Dark Blue with a triangle-shaped cut.
The gem walked in front of Matthew before looking down and speaking. "Hello, I am Moonstone. I have a few questions to ask you, I hope you share the information willingly because if you don't … things will get violent."
Matthew wasn't afraid of her; he just hoped the others were safe. "Where am I and what have you done with my friends?"
Moonstone laughed at him. "You're on Homeworld inside of an interrogation facility, your friends are safe for now. I only took you, not anyone else."
Matthew let out a sigh of relief, he couldn't trust her but at least he knew that she wasn't lying about his friends. "What is it you want from me? You said you wanted to ask me some questions but why am I important?"
The Moonstone was quick to answer this. "It is because you're close with the leader of the Crystal Gems. You may know things that would be useful for us …"
She wasn't wrong but Matthew would say anything so easily. "Yeah well, Goodluck getting anything out of me."
Moonstone once again let out a laugh. "Don't worry, I always get what I want in the end."
-Back on the Roaming Eye-
Garnet paced back and forth, thinking about the plan and how to execute it properly. The plan she had in mind was a good one, but whether it would truly work was a gamble, the future showed her that it would work but it also showed her how it would fail. She wanted to make sure it would work. "Alright everyone, listen up. The plan I have might be a bit confusing but try to stick with me. First, group one will consist of me, Pearl, Steven, Army and Navy. Our job is to walk into the facility and see if we can find Matthew. As a sapphire, I'm sure we'll be able to see how the facility works. This is where Amethyst and Bismuth come in, they will put explosives around the facility and detonate them once all of them have been set. This should give us enough time to escape into the kindergarten. Once there we will find another exit to be picked up from by the rest of the rubies. Does everyone understand?"
Everyone nods but still some questions arise, the first of which is from Steven. "I understand the plan but what will I do inside the facility?"
Garnet was quick to respond as she already knew his job. "Well, you will be Sapphire's 'pet' but once we find Matthew you'll be needed to heal him in case he's hurt." Steven was quick to nod once again, happy with his role in the plan. The next question came from one of the Rubies, it was Army. "Why do me and Navy have to come with you? If you unfuse then can't one Ruby just stay with you?"
Garnet thought for a moment, she could just let them stay here but it might be better to play the roles to perfection. "Well, I would let you stay here but a Sapphire normally always has three Ruby guards so it would raise suspicion if there was just one. It doesn't have to be you two but as long as there are three it should be fine."
Navy added her input on the situation. "I don't mind coming, plus I'm not the only one here that knows how to fly, and I know the way around the Kindergarten quite well!"
Garnet nodded, happy that everyone understood their roles. It wasn't long now until the group arrived at Homeworld, but it would still take almost an hour. She just had to hope that Matthew was still alright by the time they got there.
-Back on Homeworld: Interrogation Facility-
There was blood all over Matthew clothes. He was struggling to breathe and to even see straight but he hadn't cracked yet. He didn't know how long he had been there for but it seemed like forever, all she kept asking him was where is Rose Quartz. He didn't tell her, even if he did she wouldn't believe him ...
Moonstone was beginning to get angry at this point, he still hasn't broken yet. "I will ask AGAIN, WHERE IS ROSE QUARTZ!"
Matthew didn't respond, simply shrugging and looking away from her. This angered Moonstone, even more, she punched him right in the gut, causing him to cough up a lot more blood.
"YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW."
Matthew could feel himself falling unconscious because he didn't answer Moonstone decided to slash at Matthew's chest with a small dagger. It wasn't deep enough to kill him, but it was deep enough to finally make him unconscious.
"FINE, have it your way but I will get it out of you one way or another. I'll be back soon … real soon." She whispered in his ear before finally leaving the room …
