Hello and welcome to chapter 21 and the last chapter of this fanfiction. Last time we saw the group battle against Master Xehanort and they were able to defeat him. At the same time, we got a glimpse of Kilala and her friend Erica. To top of it all, the other worlds saw the epic battle take place and the Keyblade Wielder code was shattered. Now this is the chapter where things start to wrap up and everyone involved with the battle will go home. But don't leave yet, I have some announcements to make at the end of the chapter.
Now I mentioned on the last chapter I would explain Kilala Reno's involvement in this, but I'll explain it at the end of the chapter. Also, for all those who were wondering about the character Skelegor and the evil king at the beginning of this fanfiction, you'll find out who he is at the end as well, if you haven't already guessed who he is.
Chapter 21:
In another world, Oswald was working with a wise man on some research about something he had discovered recently. "Ansem, are the Weapons of Sin and the Stones of Virtue really linked to Kingdom Hearts and the first Keyblade War as much as the χ-blade is," Oswald asked the man.
"I cannot say for sure, Oswald," Ansem answered. "However, I was right about Hinata Hyuga being the Eighth Princess of Heart. It is the only reason Xehanort went after her. As for the Weapons of Sin and the Stones of Virtue, I will need to do more research on them, especially on their purpose."
Suddenly, Ansem noticed something in his data. Curious, he looked into it and found something that once more changed what he thought he knew about Kingdom Hearts and the Princesses of Heart.
"What is it Ansem," Oswald asked.
Ansem took a deep breath before answering, "It appears that there's a ninth Princess of Heart."
In all the worlds that saw the battle against Xehanort, they were all relieved that Xehanort had been defeated. If that wasn't good enough, the Heartless and Nobodies that were attacking these worlds disappeared back into the Realm of Darkness, leaving the worlds alone.
In the Shinobi World, Ino broadcast the great news. "Emergency announcement to the entire world, Xehanort has been defeated. Six brave individuals, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora, have saved the worlds and their futures."
"Well, who would have known that my best student would end up saving other worlds besides our own," Kakashi smiled.
In the World of Science, Sakura's friends and family witnessed the great battle and were happy to know that Sakura had survived.
"Way-to-go Sakura," Rika cheered.
"Alright," Chiharu clapped her hands.
"What an amazing battle that was," said Naoko. "True Sakura almost got herself killed, but she and her allies still won…!"
"Yeah, that's the way to do it," Meilin cheered.
"Great job, Sakura," Toya smiled. "You're growing up every day."
In Feudal Japan, everyone from Kaede's Village saw the outcome of the battle with Xehanort and were all relieved.
"Inuyasha, you have saved the world from corruption yet again," said Kaede wisely.
"Lord Sesshomaru, did you see that," Jaken asked.
Sesshomaru simply smiled and said, "Impressive, Inuyasha. Very impressive…"
In Draco Sanctuary, the Elemental Darts were pleased to see that their leader had stopped the source of the Heartless and Nobody problem.
"That's our leader," Saika said the others.
"Indeed," Zack agreed.
In Homo Sanctuary, Lilly, Bob and Ally were all pleased to see Spiro had triumphed in the battle with Xehanort with his friends.
"That's the Spiro I know," said Lilly. "Always finds a way to end a conflict."
In the Bending World, the Four Nations were relieved to see that the battle with Xehanort was over at last.
"It appears that Aang has stopped Xehanort in his tracks," Paku smiled.
"Yes," Yue agreed. "But he couldn't have done it without those five, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, and Sora."
At Yen Sid's Tower, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora flew through the portal back to their friends, carrying both Xehanort's Keyblade and the "Helmet of Lust" with them. Upon reaching the world, they landed right next to the Gummi Ship. By now, the portals to the other worlds had all closed and the group all returned to normal, Naruto was out of his Six Paths Sage Mode, Sakura's staff went back to its normal from, releasing Kero and Yue in the process, Inuyasha returned to his half-demon form and his Tetsusaiga return to its normal state, Spiro undid his Phoenix Dragon Mode, Aang went out of the Avatar State, and Sora was out of his final Form. Upon landing, their loved ones ran up to them and either hugged them or jumped them.
"Naruto," Hinata jumped Naruto.
"Hinata," Naruto caught Hinata before falling to the ground.
"Sakura," Syaoran ran up to Sakura.
"Syaoran," Sakura jumped into Syaoran's arms.
"Inuyasha," Kagome tackled Inuyasha.
"Kagome," Inuyasha caught Kagome as she tackled him.
"Spiro," Tasha rubbed her head against Spiro's.
"Tasha," Spiro rubbed his head against Tasha's
"Aang," Katara hugged Aang.
"Katara," Aang hugged Katara back.
"Sora," Kairi ran up to Sora.
"Kairi," Sora hugged Kairi as she took hold of him.
The six couples hugged and kissed each other for about a minute, enjoying their lovers' company after such a big battle with Xehanort. When they were done, they all stood up on their feed and laughed it off.
Master Yen Sid walked up to the group, got their attention, and said, "Congratulations, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora. You have saved the worlds from Xehanort's influence. If it were not for you, Xehanort would have won and the Keyblade War would have begun. Perhaps, even we Keyblade Masters need to be taught a lesson from outside sources and allow help from Non Keyblade Wielders."
"Perhaps," Spiro replied. "You are right about one thing, Yen Sid. Xehanort almost won that battle and he likely would have. Instead, we all banded together and took him down."
"Yeah," Naruto smiled. "As my sensei taught me, those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are even worse than scum. And there was no way I was going to abandon Hinata or any of you guys."
"I guess we owe you an apology," Beast admitted.
"Ah, there's no need for that," Sakura chuckled before getting serious. "But there is something that's bothering me."
Everyone looked at the group.
"What is it," Aladdin asked.
Sakura explained, "When we were battling Xehanort, I sensed a presence coming from him. A presence that was unlike anything I have ever felt before. And when I touched his Keyblade during the battle, I saw something ominous. I don't know what it was, but from what I could tell, I think it's even worse than Xehanort."
Everyone apart from Naruto, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora were surprised. They knew Xehanort was a mad man, but to find out that there was someone else out there who was even worse than him was a shock.
"There's someone else out there worse than Xehanort," Mickey gasped.
"Yeah, that's what I felt when I touched his Keyblade," Sakura answered. "I don't know what it was, but it's on a completely different level."
"Come to think of it, I felt it too when I touched the Helmet of Lust," Naruto backed up Sakura.
"So did I," Spiro added.
"I knew there was a reason my Tetsusaiga was pulsing every time Xehanort and I clashed swords," Inuyasha placed his hand on his sword.
"Speaking of which, we must to secure the Helmet of Lust," Mickey pointed out.
"Yeah, I agree," Naruto replied. "When Xehanort put it on, his power was on par with Kaguya's."
"And my sealing spell didn't start working until Naruto got it off of Xehanort," Sakura pointed out. "I don't know what kind of weapon it is, but I can tell that it's not a weapon you want to tinker with."
Suddenly, Belle got near the Helmet of Lust and started to feel strange. He stomach started cramping, her head started aching, and she eventually fell to her knees in pain. The others were quick to take notice of this.
"Belle, what's wrong," Beast gasped.
"That helmet," Belle answered. "When I got near it… I started feeling…"
But Belle was cut off when she felt her stomach cramping again. Hinata activated her Byakugan and saw the problem. "That helmet is causing her pain," she gasped.
"What do you mean," Beast demanded.
"Whatever is going on, that helmet has to be secured right now," Hinata answered.
"We're on it," Mickey took out the Kingdom Key and he, Aqua, Riku, and Yen Sid used their magic to seal the Helmet of Lust into a magic glass sphere.
The moment the Helmet of Lust was sealed into the sphere, Belle's condition returned to normal. However, the group was still confused.
"What was that," Jasmine asked with concern.
"I don't know," Mickey answered. "But apparently, there's more to this Helmet of Lust than we first thought."
"Yeah," Inuyasha agreed. "It's demonic aura somehow similar to one of my old man's swords. I noticed it when my sword was pulsing. It wasn't like my sword, or my brother's sword, but I could feel it was similar."
Kagome gasped, as she realized that Inuyasha was talking about So'unga.
"Yeah well when I touched it, I felt an evil presence similar to Kaguya's," Naruto pointed out his point of view.
"What could this mean," Spiro asked.
"And what about that other presence we felt when we were battling Xehanort," Aang asked. "What could that presence have been?"
"I don't know, but I don't think we should let it go," Sora replied.
"Maybe we should work together again some time if we need to," Sakura suggested.
"Good idea," Naruto agreed. "We could all be a team."
"I like that," Aang smiled.
"Yeah, we really made a great team in that battle with Xehanort," Sora added. "And if he ever does return or someone worse comes along, we'll be ready."
"Oh, what the hell," Inuyasha joined them. "It was fun being with you guys."
"I believe we need a name for our group though," Spiro pointed out.
Tomoyo then came in and said, "The Horyus…!"
Everyone turned to Tomoyo confused.
"You guys should go by the Horyus," Tomoyo explained. "It's dramatic, poetic, and it has nice ring to it."
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora thought about it for a moment before coming to an agreement.
"Yeah that's not a bad idea," Aang replied.
"I'm good with it," Sora agreed.
"Yeah, it sounds so cool," Naruto said excitedly.
"Well, I can't argue with Tomoyo," Sakura giggled.
"I could get used to it," Inuyasha said bluntly.
"Very well, then we all agree," Spiro announced. "From this day forth, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, Sora, and myself shall be known as… The Horyus…!"
Everyone else looked at each other and they all agreed to this, although some of them, mostly the Keyblade Wielders and Masters, were still a little uneasy about letting Non-Keyblade Wielders do their work for them.
"Very well," said Yen Sid. "If any of you wish to help us in matters like this again, I won't stop you. However, you will need a leader; someone who can lead you in battles like this or even worse."
Naruto giggled, "I think we know who that is."
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, and Sora turned their heads to Spiro, shocking the young firedrake.
"What is this," Spiro gasped. "Me…? But I already lead the Elemental Darts back in my own world. I'm not sure if I can lead two teams at once."
"Spiro, you're the one who brought us all together," Sakura pointed out. "True Sora was the reason we all met, but if it wasn't for you, we never would have been able to work together to defeat Xehanort."
"Sakura's right," Aang agreed. "You're leadership is the reason we were able to take down Xehanort and Organization XIII."
"Besides, I still want to become Hokage, the leader of my village," Naruto added. "But right now, I'm still learning how to be a leader, so I'm watching how other leaders handle their teams."
"I can't complain with anything," said Sora.
Spiro was still unsure. "Uh, I still don't know…"
"Look, just go with it, will yah," Inuyasha grunted. "We don't want to hear any of your doubts, Spiro. So just do it."
Spiro realized that Inuyasha was right and said, "Very well. I still don't know if I'm the right one for the task, but if you all believe I am, then I will do it. But do not expect me to show up and lead you guys every time we have a big crisis. I will do my best to show up, but I won't always be around to lead you into battle."
"That's good enough for me," Naruto smiled.
Suddenly, Sakura Haruno came in from the tower itself, having fully recovered from her comatose state, and walked up to Naruto with her head down.
Naruto noticed this and said, "Oh, hi Sakura."
But Sakura Haruno just said, "You haven't changed a bit. You are still so reckless… YOU IDIOT…!"
Sakura Haruno then punched Naruto, though she did not send him flying this time as it was a light punch. She had watched Naruto's battle with Xehanort through the portal in the sky and was about as upset by this as she was when he battle Pain. And just like in that battle, she gave him a friendly hug and told him thank you. After the hug was over, she released him and allowed him to finish what he started. "Now, I think you have some unfinished business with Hinata."
Naruto simply nodded and walked up to Hinata and started talking. "Hinata… I've been meaning to tell you… that I… Hinata, you mean everything to me. I can't really see myself living without you. And there's something that I've been meaning to give you since the day you got kidnapped."
"What would that be Naruto," Hinata asked.
Naruto then took out his gift and presented it to Hinata.
Hinata was shocked, "That's…"
"Yeah," Naruto nodded. "It's the very same healing ointment you gave me during the Chunin Exams. I've been keeping it with me ever since."
Hinata was touched by this discovery. "He's kept it with him ever since then," she thought. "Oh Naruto…!"
Hinata then took the ointment from Naruto before taking out her own gift. "Naruto," she said timidly. "I've got a gift for you as well. I made it myself and I've wanted to give it to you as long as you've wanted to give me back the ointment."
Naruto was about to ask what Hinata's gift was until she pulled it out of her bag. It was the red scarf she had made and Naruto was shocked.
"Wait, is that," Naruto gasped.
"Here," Hinata handed Naruto the scarf.
Naruto took the red scarf from Hinata's hands without hesitation and rapped it around his neck with joy and pride. He was glad to have gotten such a gift from Hinata as it looked like the exact same scarf he wore back when he first met Hinata. "Thank you Hinata," he said to his girlfriend. "I'll cherish it forever."
"Oh Naruto," Hinata then leaped into Naruto's arms
Naruto and Hinata shared a hug which everyone thought was cute, especially their fellow shinobi. For them, it was a long journey for the two lovers that had taken them on a grand adventure. Sakura Haruno was especially satisfied about this because she got to see someone else get with the one she loves while she was still waiting for Sasuke. Naruto and Hinata felt more emotional than all of their friends, especially Hinata. Ever since this battle began, they fought the odds thrown against them, and now at last they were together.
Naruto and Hinata were about to share a kiss when they were suddenly interrupted. A group of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents showed up and their leader Phil Coulson walked up to the Horyus. "Miss Kinomoto…!"
The Horyus and their allies looked upon Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents as they appeared in the area.
"I don't think you've been completely honest with us," Agent Coulson said to Sakura Kinomoto after looking at all the Disney Characters surrounding them, especially Mickey.
"How did you get here," Sakura Kinomoto asked.
"We have our ways," Coulson answered bluntly. "More importantly is what had just happened."
Spiro walked up to Coulson and asked, "And you are?"
"I'm Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Coulson answered. "We monitor potential threats, like what had been happening for past two weeks."
"Then know this, Mr. Coulson," said Spiro. "We are the protectors of all the worlds. We are the Horyus, and from this day forth you may count us as your allies. However, we all come from different worlds. Do not be surprised if we do not show up every time you call us."
"Fine with me," Coulson nodded. "I'll inform our director about this. We may need you for future events yet, Horyus."
The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents then returned to the aircraft that brought them to the tower and returned to the World of Science to report everything that had happened to their director.
In another world, the evil fairy Maleficent and her comrades, Pete, Hades, Jafar, Ursula, Doctor Facilier, Captain Hook, and Oogie Boogie, were watching the Horyus' conversation and were intrigued.
"So, those guys defeated Xehanort," said Pete. "That's interesting."
"I'm not really surprised," said Hades, noticing Naruto. "One of those fools is one of the two who took down Kaguya last year, the blonde, spikey haired guy."
"Such is the power of the Sage of Six Paths," Jafar reminded Hades. "That boy's power is not his own, same thing with those other four. The girl with the magic cards… the samurai with the huge sword… the dragon with the tough armor… and the monk who can control the elements. Let's not forget about our old friend Sora."
"Why don't we turn them all into Heartless," Ursula suggested. "That should settle things quick."
"I don't think it's a good idea to attack them right now," Facilier pointed out. "We don't want to reveal ourselves before our plans are ready."
"Swoggle me eyes Doctor," Hook said to Facilier. "You are nothing more than a cowardly land loving bilge rat for saying such a thing."
"You're still no prize yourself," Oogie Boogie chuckled.
"For the 30th time, shut up," Hook growled at Oogie.
"Enough," Maleficent was quick to make her presence in the room known as she walked to her comrades. "Facilier does have a point. If we are to defeat these Horyus, we must do it carefully, and without fall ups. Let's not forget, Sora alone was enough to take out all of our plans down in the past, especially mine. Since these five younglings, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, and Spiro were able to keep up with him even at his most powerful, we will need a plan to take them down."
At Yen Sid's Tower, the Horyus and their allies watched as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents returned to the aircraft that brought them to the tower and returned to the World of Science to report everything that had happened to their director. As soon as they were gone, the Horyus, the Guardians of Light, the Princesses of Heart, and all of their friends and allies prepared to return to their home worlds, unaware that many new enemies had witnessed or heard about their battle with Xehanort and were preparing to attack.
"Alright everyone," said Mickey. "It's time for you all to return to your home worlds…! Now if you please, gather all of your personal belongings and board the Gummi Ship."
Everyone did as Mickey requested and prepared to return home. Mickey gave special transmitters for the Horyus in case they ever needed to contact each other. As soon as everyone was on board the Gummi Ship, it took off into space and began dropping everyone off in their respected home worlds.
"I suppose we do owe them our gratitude," said Yen Sid as he saw them leave, remembering that all the other worlds saw the battle. "But I still wonder, at what cost?"
Onboard the Gummi Ship, Naruto looked to Hinata and said, "Hinata?"
"Yes," Hinata asked.
"I'm sorry it took me so long," Naruto apologized, still feeling ashamed for not noticing Hinata for a long time. "Not just for finding you… but for not noticing your feeling until now. I really feel ashamed that…"
Before Naruto could continue, Hinata famed his face and said, "It's okay Naruto. I'm not mad at you. You came when you could. You saved me and so many others from Xehanort's wrath."
Naruto then said cheekily, "Well, I didn't do all of that by myself. Besides, I wanted to ask you something Hinata."
"What is it," Hinata asked.
Before Naruto could say anything, the Gummi Ship arrived back in their home world and had landed on top of the Hokage Tower.
"Alright everyone, we're here," Chip informed everyone.
"All those who live in this world, please leave the Gummi Ship in an orderly fashion and no cutting in line," said Dale.
Without hesitation, all of the shinobi on the Gummi Ship got on their feet and walked out of the ship and Naruto took Hinata by the hand and walked out with her by his side. Once they were outside, Naruto, Hinata, Sakura Haruno, Shikamaru, Kiba, Akamaru, and Rock Lee started dusting off their clothes and watched as the Gummi Ship left. But before they made their way into the Hokage Office, Naruto carried Hinata bridle style and started heading off to the Hokage Monument.
"Naruto," Hinata gasped sheepishly upon being picked up bridle style.
"I'll see you guys later," said Naruto to his comrades before making his way up to the Hokage Monument where he and Hinata last saw each other before she was kidnapped.
"Naruto, where are you going," Kiba asked.
"Naruto, we need to report to the Hokage," Shikamaru shouted.
"Let them go Shikamaru," Sakura said to Shikamaru, fully aware of Naruto's intentions with Hinata. "We can report to Kakashi Sensei without them. Besides, they've earned it after everything that's happened."
Shikamaru knew that Sakura was right, so he and the others made their way to Hokage's office to report their mission to Kakashi. Little did they know however that there was a White Zetsu like the ones used in the war using its Mayfly technique to eavesdrop on them. It then disappeared back into the ground.
Elsewhere in a strange village with a giant tree in the middle, the White Zetsu emerged in a room full of multiple White Zetsu and approached what appeared to be a beautiful maroon-haired woman.
"What did you find out," said the woman to the White Zetsu.
"Lady Fūka," said the White Zetsu, "Your target has returned."
"Good work my White Zetsu," said Fūka as she smiled and licked her lips. "Soon Naruto Uzumaki. We will meet again soon and when we do, those lips of yours will be mine."
In the World of Science, the Gummi Ship had returned Sakura Kinomoto, Inuyasha, and their friends to Japan. As the ship flew over downtown Tokyo, the two groups prepared to go their separate ways and make their way back to their homes.
"Inuyasha," said Sakura.
"What," Inuyasha asked in his usual tone.
"Thanks for helping me in the fight with Young Xehanort at Tokyo Disneyland," Sakura bowed in respect.
Inuyasha rolled his eyes and said, "You don't always have to bow to everyone kid. And just make sure you get stronger because you almost got yourself killed out there."
Sakura looked up and asked, "What do you mean?"
"I saw you charge into the battle between Ventus and Vanitas while we were in the Keyblade Graveyard," Inuyasha explained. "You were lucky your two guardians were there to help you, otherwise Vanitas would've killed you."
"Well Ventus was right there," Sakura explained.
"Yeah, but you could've been caught in the crossfire," Inuyasha pointed out. "Take it from me kid, helping out someone is important, but it's no excuse for just charging in recklessly without a plan."
"Okay, thanks," Sakura nodded, feeling a bit worried. "So do you think you could help me get better?"
Inuyasha smirked. "Just so you know I won't be going easy on you."
Sakura smiled. "Okay, it's a deal."
Sakura and Inuyasha then shook hands, earning smiles from Syaoran and Kagome.
Soon enough, the Gummi Ship arrived at Tomoeda.
"Alright, everyone who lives here in Tomoeda, please depart," Chip and Dale spoke through the speakers.
Right on cue, Sakura, Syaoran, Tomoyo, Kero and Yue jumped out of the ship and made their way home.
The Gummi Ship then moved on to Higurashi Shrine where Inuyasha and Kagome's friends, allies and family were waiting for them. Upon arriving at the shine, Inuyasha and Kagome departed and the Gummi Ship went off to the next world. Inuyasha and Kagome then walked up the steps up to the shrine.
In Draco Sanctuary, the Gummi Ship appeared over at Darmorce, surprising all of the dragons living in it. The moment the Gummi Ship stopped over Darmorce Castle, Sora opened the door and allowed Spiro, Tasha, and Alopheya to leave.
"Thanks for everything you guys," Sora said to the two dragons. "We couldn't have done it without you."
"The honor was all ours," Tasha bowed.
"Let's just hope we can find out what that all powerful force is," said Spiro.
"Yeah," Sora agreed.
The two dragons and the phoenix took off into the air down to the castle below. Once they were in the castle, the Gummi Ship went on to the next world.
At the castle courtyard, the other Elemental Darts were waiting for their leaders to return from their adventure. When Spiro, Tasha, and Alopheya landed in the middle of the courtyard, the other Elemental Darts were quick to gather around them.
"Spiro, Tasha, Alopheya," Griffow gasped. "You made it!"
"Hello everyone," Spiro greeted before he noticed that some of them had disappointed looks on their faces, "Why are you looking at us like that?"
"Spiro, we need to talk," said Frostina.
"About what," Spiro questioned nervously.
"About your battle with those humans against that Xehanort person," Zack answered.
"You saw that," Spiro asked.
"Spiro, everyone saw that battle," Tasha pointed out, realizing what the others meant.
Spiro realized they saw through those portals. "Well, what do want to know about it?"
In Ba Sing Se, Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Appa flew out of the Gummi Ship and landed right in front of Iroh's tea shop, the Jasmine Dragon. Upon landing, the rest of Team Avatar and the Kyoshi Warriors gathered around the Avatar, pleased to have him back.
"Guys, you're back," Suki called out.
"Good to be back," Sokka used his "charms" on both Suki and Ty Lee.
"Oh, we know, cutie," Ty Lee used some of her flirtations with Sokka.
Iroh walked up to the group and noticed something or someone was missing. "Where's the Keyblade Wielder?"
The others looked at Aang, realizing that Iroh was right.
"Actually," Aang began to explain. "I'm afraid the situation has gotten more complicated. I need to speak with the leaders of the Great Nations."
On Destiny Islands, Sora, Riku and Kairi were relaxing on the shores of the small island where their journeys began. The Gummi Ship dropped them off a few moments ago and they were relieved to see that the situation was over, despite the fact that they knew something worse was coming.
"We're back again," said Sora.
"Yeah," Riku agreed. "Same old islands, as always."
"It kind of makes you think of how big our world must be, out there in the ocean," Kairi added. "Especially considering how big all the other worlds are and must be."
Sora then looked at Kairi with a blush on his face. After seeing Naruto go through so much trouble to save Hinata, he realized that he should tell Kairi how he felt. "Kairi," he said.
"What is it Sora," Kairi asked.
"Well, I've been meaning to tell you something for a long time now," Sora explained nervously. "And after seeing all the trouble Naruto went through for Hinata, I think…" Sora took a deep breath before saying, "Kairi… I love you."
Kairi gasped in surprise at Sora's confession. She herself had developed feelings for Sora, but she never thought he would confess his feelings for her first.
"Sora…!"
Sora gulped before continuing, "So… ah… will you be my girlfriend?"
Kairi was still in a slight state of shock at first, but she sighed and answered with a cute smile, "Okay, Sora."
Sora gasped with joy at Kairi's acceptation.
The two Keyblade Wielders, now boyfriend and girlfriend, then shared a warming hug as they began their new relationship. Riku, who was watching from the sides, simply smiled at them.
At the spot where Disney Town once stood, the residents arrived and looked upon the area and were quite depressed. Everything they had worked so hard to build was now gone, replaced by a large crater. They had just returned the Princesses of Heart and their friends back to their home worlds, but they still had to do something about what was in front of them.
"Our town," Daisy Duck said with depression.
"Guess I should have asked Aladdin to have Genie fix up our home before we dropped him off," said Mickey, realizing his mistake.
"Oh don't worry," said Donald. "I'm sure Uncle Scrooge can help out."
"Good idea, Donald," said Minnie as she picked up a phone and made a call to Duckburg.
"Hello," said the caller, sounding Scottish.
"Scrooge is that you," said Minnie.
"Well yes, Minnie," said Scrooge, recognizing the voice. "Why do you ask?"
"Our beloved castle and all of Disney Town has been completely destroyed," Queen Minnie explained.
"BLESS ME BAGPIPES," Scrooge gasped, now worried for everyone. "Is everyone alright?!"
"Thank Walt yes," Queen Minnie explained. "Thanks to some visitors from another world, everyone escaped pretty much unharmed, but our castle, and our kingdom for that matter, wasn't so fortunate."
"Well don't you worry lass," Scrooge told Minnie. "I'll get there as soon as I can and I'll see what we can do about this."
"Oh thank you, Scrooge," Minnie hung up.
In the Shinobi World, Naruto and Hinata were atop the Hokage Monument, sitting together on the head of Naruto's father, Minato Namikaze, looking down on the village below, just as they were before all the madness with Xehanort started.
"So this is where we left off," Naruto said in amusement.
"Yeah," Hinata agreed before looked at Naruto. "Now what were you going to ask me Naruto?"
"Huh," Naruto asked, not knowing what Hinata was asking him at first.
Hinata then reminded him, "On the Gummi Ship, you were going to ask me something… What was it?"
"Oh, that," Naruto hesitated before saying, "Well, I was going to ask… will you be my girlfriend?"
Hinata gasped upon hearing Naruto's question. She then said tearfully, "Yes…!"
Naruto then smiled as he and Hinata took each other's hands and stared into each other's eyes.
"Hinata…"
"Naruto…"
Finally, after a long time, Naruto and Hinata shared their first kiss while standing on the Hokage Monument.
Up on the Moon, a very observant and annoyed onlooker was watching Naruto and Hinata having their moment. This young man was of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, the last remaining descendant of Hagoromo, Hamura, and Kaguya. He had the characteristic white skin and hair of his ancestors, a verity of puppets similar to those in Suna, and even his own castle located on the moon.
As he watched Naruto and Hinata, one of his puppets came up to him and asked, "Lord Toneri, how is the Byakugan Princess?"
"She has returned, safe and sound," said Toneri. "However, it would appear that I have competition for her affection. This is something I will not tolerate. And for the moment, the Onmyōdō Byakugan has yet to be fully unlocked, much like my Tenseigan. But it is only a matter of time before she awakens her true power. I must have her by the time she fully unlocks the Onmyōdō Byakugan. I also must obtain the Tenseigan to complete the celestial decree, and then the Earth will be destroyed."
Back on Earth, Sasuke Uchiha was reunited with his old teammate from his rogue ninja days, Karin, Jugo, and Suigetsu.
"So tell me again why you wanted us all to join you on this mission Sasuke," Suigetsu complained.
"Stop complaining Suigetsu," Karin shouted. "I'm sure Sasuke has his reasons why he wanted you and Jugo to come along, even though I'd prefer to be the only one to accompany him on this."
"So, you still hold feelings for Sasuke even after he told you off the last time you saw him," Suigetsu teased. "He made it clear that he loves his Konoha teammate, Sakura."
"Shut up," Karin shouted again, not wanting to accept the fact that Sasuke has chosen his true love and it was not her. "I'm sure Sasuke has changed his mind about that Billboard Brow by now and has chosen me."
"Will you give it a rest already," Suigetsu complained.
"Oh shut up," Karin said for the third time.
"You shut up," Suigetsu shouted back.
While Karin and Suigetsu got into a "moment", Jugo asked Sasuke, "In all seriousness Sasuke, what is it you need us for?"
"You're about to find out," Sasuke said bluntly.
Eventually Sasuke and his old team, Taka, arrived at their destination.
"We're here," Sasuke announced.
Meanwhile, Oswald was still shocked to learn that there was yet another Princess of Heart. At the same time, Ansem did some more research on his discovery, even going as far as to scan the others worlds to search for this ninth princess.
"So let me get this straight," said Oswald. "You're saying that there's a Ninth Princess of Heart out there?"
"Evedentally yes," Ansem answered bluntly as he continued to do his research until he found a match.
"Okay, first we learn that there's an eighth Princess of Heart who serves as the medium for the χ-blade, now we learn that there's a ninth Princess of Heart," Oswald questioned. "This is already getting me confused. Who is the ninth Princess and what is her purpose?"
"I'm not sure what her purpose is yet Oswald," Ansem answered. "However, according to my research, it would seem that she is in a class of her own, beyond that of the other princesses. And I have reason to believe that the princess's identity is this girl from Avalon."
Ansem then pulled up a picture of the candidate on his computer screen, revealing it to be a golden blonde girl with fair skin, sapphire eyes, and her hair in a ponytail wearing a light blue school uniform with a Mickey Mouse badge on the skirt.
Suddenly, Kessie came in and said, "Ansem, we have some visitors."
Ansem got off of his chair and he, Oswald and Kessie looked to their visitors. They were Sasuke and the members of Taka.
"Well, if it isn't Sasuke Uchiha," Ansem greeted. "I've been expecting you."
"Then you know why I am here," Sasuke replied.
"Of course," Ansem replied.
Suigetsu interrupted, "Sasuke, who is this old man?"
"He's Ansem the Wise," Sasuke said bluntly. "I met him some time ago after my final battle with Naruto. He seems to know more about what has been happening the past few weeks than anyone else."
"Remind me again why you are here, Sasuke," said Ansem.
Sasuke then got strate to the point. "I want to know about Kingdom Hearts."
In the world known as Avalon, Kilala and Erica were walking home after the chaos had subsided.
"That was crazy," said Kilala.
"Tell me about it," Erica agreed. "By the way Kilala, is there a reason why you suddenly sneezed earlier?"
"All I can think of is that someone was talking about me," Kilala answered as she started getting hearts in her eyes. "I wonder if he's my handsome Prince Charming. If so, I can't wait to meet him…!"
Erica rolled her eyes and said, "Kilala…"
Kilala giggled.
Soon the two reached each other's homes and went their separate ways.
When Kilala entered her house, she put her things down and went to her room. Her parents were nowhere in sight. When she entered her room, Kilala lied down on her bed and looked towards the ceiling as she began to think about her parents. Some time ago, her mother fell ill and her father took her to place called Paradiso to be cured, leaving Kilala all alone in her house, aside from Tippe. Kilala has been waiting for them to return, but she hasn't heard from them since they left.
Suddenly, she saw a glow in the distance outside her bedroom window. Looking outside it, she saw what appeared to be bright light on the horizon.
In the World of Science, Eriol, Spinel, and Ruby had arrived back at their mansion in London after taking on so many Heartless and Nobodies that night. But just as Eriol and his guardians were about to settle down, they were approached by the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. himself, Nick Fury.
"Mr. Hiiragizawa," Fury called out as he approached.
Eriol noticed Fury and was quick to reply, "You are Nicholas Joseph Fury, the director of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, otherwise known as S.H.I.E.L.D., are you not?"
"You're very observant," Fury replied. "I expect nothing less for an all-powerful sorcerer like yourself."
"How did you find out about us," Spinel questioned.
"You're not the first magic users we've tracked down," Fury pointed out.
But Ruby was too tired for this and said, "Look Mr. Fury, it's been a long day of fighting Heartless and Nobodies and we would like to get some well-deserved rest, if you don't mind."
Eriol then ordered, "Spinel, Ruby, go get some sleep. I must speak with Fury alone."
Spinel and Ruby were both surprised by this, but they did as they were told and went to bed, leaving Eriol to talk with Fury alone.
"If I may ask Fury, what is it you want," Eriol asked.
"I'm sure you witnessed the battle against the man named Xehanort," Fury started and Eriol nodded. "Well sadly the whole world saw that battle and that means that Miss Kinomoto, your successor, and her new friends have attracted a lot of unwanted attention."
"It was only a matter of time," Eriol sighed sadly.
"Unfortunately, some of this unwanted attention comes in forms of people and forces I don't think even you or she are prepared for," Fury went on picking up a briefcase. "But I think I know of a way to prepare her and her friends for the upcoming events."
"I see," Eriol nodded his head. "But what is it you want me for?"
In Tokyo, the few remaining Heartless and Nobodies within the Tokyo area were gathered up and captured by a terrorist organization known throughout the world. As they captured the remaining Heartless and Nobodies, their leader contacted his superior.
"This is Grim Reaper to Red Skull," said Grim Reaper over the radio. "We have managed to capture the few remaining Heartless and Nobodies within the Tokyo area. We are ready to head back to base."
"Excellent," said Red Skull over the radio. "We shall send a transport to your location immediately."
"And we shall be ready to load the specimens onto the transport the moment it arrives, sir," said Grim Reaper.
"Has S.H.I.E.L.D. bothered you at all on this," Red Skull questioned.
"Apparently not sir," said Grim Reaper. "However, even if they did, I doubt they would be able to do anything about it at this point. Cut off one head, two more shall take its place. Hail Hydra…!"
In another world, a young man was working on his own project known as Operation Kronos. As he was working on the project, he suddenly got a call from one of his allies from the World of Science. "Syndrome here… Who is this?"
"This is M.O.D.O.K.," said his ally. "A.I.M. is getting impatient with your progress with the creation that device you promised us. What is your progress?"
"It's going by slowly but surely," said Syndrome. "You know, I happen to have my own priorities to deal with and making these weapons and devices takes time. But don't worry; you'll have it when the time comes."
"I hope so boy, for your sake," M.O.D.O.K. warned Syndrome before signing off.
Syndrome's assistant Mirage then looked at him and asked, "What will we do if we can't finish that device in time?"
"Let me worry about that," Syndrome answered. "For now, we keep moving ahead with Operation Kronos. And when the time comes, I'll invite those guys who defeated Xehanort to the island and test out my personal weapon on them. And if it's successful in defeating them, it will be ready to face," he giggles, "Mr. Incredible."
In the Keyblade Graveyard, two mysterious people in black cloaks were walking through the ruins of the battlefield. They had been hiding in the shadows, watching the battle between the Guardians of Light and the Seekers of Darkness and even witnessed the final battle between Xehanort and the Horyus. But now that the battle was over and Xehanort was gone, they were coming out of the shadows to look for whatever they could find.
"Oh, what a pity," said one of them. "It would appear that the Organization has fallen."
"Indeed," said the other one. "But Larxene, that also means they we can rebuild it the way we want it."
Larxene thought about what her partner said and replied, "Yes, you're right Marluxia. Of course we shall need to gather many followers to rebuild the Organization, and that takes time."
"And while we're doing that, we will come into conflict with Sora and his friends," Marluxia added.
"Something I look forward to," Larxene smiled.
"Quite so," said a voice.
Larxene and Marluxia looked around for the source of the voice.
"Who's there," Larxene demanded. "Show yourself…!"
The owner of the mysterious voice came out from behind a rock. It was a member of Organization XIII, his face was covered by his hood.
"Who the hell are you," Larxene questioned.
"I'm someone you already know well," the Organization XIII member answered as he took off his hood to reveal himself.
Both Marluxia and Larxene were surprised to see who it was they were talking to.
"It's you," Larxene gasped. "But how…?"
The Organization XIII member was Luxord and he answered, "Let's just say, my time was not up yet."
In the Enchanted Dimension, Maleficent and her allies were in her castle as Maleficent was showing them something she had recently rediscovered.
"What is that," Ursula asked.
"When Pete and I were at the Castle that Never Was, I discovered something intriguing, something that I have long since forgotten," Maleficent answered as she took out an old tapestry from her storage. "It is something that I wish I remembered long before I met Xehanort, and it may change the outcome of what is to come for each of us."
Maleficent then spread the tapestry for everyone to see. When fully spread out, they saw a picture of what appeared to be a large and strange tree. Hades immediately recognized it, but the others were slower to know about it.
"Ah, of course," Hades palmed his face. "Why didn't I think of that?"
"Pardon me, but what is this," Doctor Facilier asked.
"I'm glad you asked Doctor," Maleficent answered before explaining. "I'm not surprised that Hades here knows what this is; I am also not surprised that the rest of you may or may not know about it. This is an entity known as the World Tree, known to fairies like myself as Yggdrasil."
In Hollow Bastion, a man with long silver hair and a single wing wearing a black leather coat and wielding an extremely long sword was standing on the castle called Hollow Bastion. This was the man known as Sephiroth.
"Cloud," he said looking down at the town of Radiant Garden. "Soon you and I will face one another and this time, only one of us will be standing."
In the Realm of Darkness, Skelegor walked up to his king to inform him about Xehanort's defeat at the hands of the Horyus. The king was sitting on his throne, looking at two opposing statues at the back of his throne room. One of them was a robust man with long spiky hair wearing devilish armor and helmet and wielding a claymore sword. The other was a shapely woman with long straight hair wearing angelic armor and helmet and wielding the χ-blade.
"Sire…"
"What news do you bring me, Skelegor," said the king.
"Xehanort has failed, Sire," Skelegor answered. "The Helmet of Lust is lost to us."
The king did not seem to be fazed by the news as he turned his throne and said, "Xehanort's failure was to be expected, but I am not pleased to know the Helmet of Lust is lost to us. But it matters not. How did this happen?"
"The six mortals he manipulated," Skelegor answered. "They are not the cowering wretches he believed them to be. They stand. They are unruly, and therefore cannot be ruled."
Skelegor's master then got up off of his throne and stared him down.
Skelegor then went on, "To challenge them is to have a brush with… death…"
Skelegor's master then unveiled his face from the shadows, revealing himself to be the almighty Horned King. His eyes glowed red as he smiled and said, "Is that so?"

And that was chapter 21 and the last chapter of this fanfiction. As you can see, the mysterious king Skelegor is working for and whom was Xehanort's ally was the Horned King. Also spoiler alert (though not really), Kilala is the ninth Princess of Heart. And for all of you who were wondering what Oswald and Cassie (or Kessie) were during the battle against Xehanort, now you know they were with Ansem the Wise, who seems to know Sasuke Uchiha. On top of that, multiple villains, including Fūka and the White Zetsu army, Toneri, Hydra, A.I.M., Syndrome, Larxene and Marluxia, Maleficent and her goons, and Sephiroth, are preparing to bring harm to certain individuals.
Now I'll admit that this wasn't a perfect fanfiction and I did make several mistakes here and there, but I hope you all have enjoyed this experience and this story well enough nonetheless. I want you all to know that I didn't write this as fast as many of you might think I did, so I apologize for any misconceptions I may have unintentionally caused. I actually wrote this way back in the mid 2010s and I have been revising several chapter throughout that time, some more than others. What you've read was the finalized versions of those chapters. Any other fanfictions I write from here on in will likely take longer to upload.
Now before I go, I have some announcements to make:
One: Yes this is the end of the Horyus fanfiction, but no this is not the end of the adventures of the Horyus' team. It's only the beginning. As I said before, this is the start of a shared universe in the veins of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe. Think of this as an origin story of the group mush like how the first Avengers movie was for the group in the MCU or how the Justice League Movie was for the team in the DCEU.
Two: I mentioned before that apart from Sora, none of the members of the team will be wielding a Keyblade. However, that was just for this particular instalment. I am willing to change that for future instalments in this shared universe. Which ones will wield a Keyblade you may ask, I still haven't decided yet.
Three: As with most Kingdom Hearts fanfictions, the group will go into other worlds based on Disney and Square Enix properties, especially ones that have already appeared in other Kingdom Hearts games.
Four: As with the Justice League, the Avengers, X-Men, Teen Titans, and other superhero teams, the Horyus will receive additional members down the line. This also means that they will also be crossing over into other franchises, including Elfen Lied, Kenichi: the Mightiest Disciple, Star Wars, Godzilla, Kill la Kill, Digimon, some of the Disney Afternoon shows, and more. But there will also be several OC characters who will join the team, whom will show up as I go along.
Five: I may have retconned the events that took place after the end of the founding members' respective series such as The Last: Naruto The Movie and the Avatar comics, but that doesn't mean that I won't adapt them into this continuity, as soon as I find a good way to pull it off.
Six: Most of the fanfictions I'll be writing will be part of the share universe I'm making, which I am calling the Horyus Universe, including some tie ins and spin offs. I say most because there will be some that won't be part of this shared universe. Some of these may also be rated M for various reasons. The only reason why this one wasn't rated M was because it held no such content.
Finally: If you don't like any of the fanfictions I write, then you don't have to read them, but please don't leave any nasty reviews on any of them. Like I said at the beginning, we all have different tastes in stories and what may be appealing to some people may not be so for others.
