Hi everyone, here is another little snippet into the lives of Brittany, Santana and Spencer.

Cooking To Win

"Mami!" Spencer shouts from the living room.

Santana comes running in her clothes lopsided from her throwing them on quickly. She looks around wildly trying to see what is wrong.

"What's wrong?" Santana asks still looking around wildly.

"I want to try out for this cooking show." Spencer says.

Santana falls onto the couch in disbelief.

"Is something wrong or did you overreact again?" Brittany asks calmly walking in looking immaculate.

Spencer looks between her parents and then makes a gross face when she realizes what they had been up to before she called from her mami.

"Gross," Spencer says scrunching her face up in a grossed out way.

At thirteen, she now understands what is happening when her parents come in straightening out their clothes, in some state of undressed, their hair messed up or lopsided clothes. Anytime she now sees them like that she always comments and her mami gets embarrassed even if nothing had been happening.

"Oh god," Santana says her face turning red with embarrassment.

"Honey, your mami was just getting changed." Brittany says rolling her eyes at her wife and daughter's behavior.

"Whatever," Spencer says over it now. "Since you and mami did all those game shows, can you get me on a show?"

"What show?" Santana asks suspicious that her thirteen year old daughter wants on a show like the Real World or Big Brother.

"There's a kids cooking competition that I want on." Spencer says giving her mami puppy dog eyes.

"You hate cooking." Santana says staring her daughter down.

There's something more to this than she is saying and Santana is going to find out what it is.

"I can cook, mama has me help her and so does Rachel and Quinn." Spencer counters.

Santana looks over at her wife to see if this is true.

"San just because you hate cooking doesn't mean our daughter does." Brittany says staring her wife down.

"But…." Santana stutters.

"We'll get you on the show honey." Brittany says which causes Spencer to squeal and give her a huge hug.

"Thank you so much mama, I'll make you guys proud." Spencer says knowing that her moms have never lost a game show competition (the Mole doesn't count since her mama was the Mole and no one guessed her thus they still won).

"Honey just trying your best is okay." Brittany says while at the same time Santana says. "I know you will."

Brittany turns and stares her wife down, Santana gulps.

"Just do your best honey." Santana says to appease her wife.

"I'm going kick ass." Spencer says smirking in a very Santana way.

"First we have to get you on the show." Brittany points out.

"If anyone can do it mama, you can." Spencer says.

"She's right honey," Santana says sucking up to her wife. "No one can say no to you."

Spencer is bouncing as she waits for the show to start. Her mama easily got her on the kids challenge cooking show. Her parents are in the audience watching and she wants to make them proud by winning. She's so excited that she gets the opportunity to show the world that not only are her parents good at winning reality shows but so is she. She truly loves to cook which is why she chose a cooking show instead of something else.

"Go Spencer!" Rachel shouts as she shuffles by other people to claim her seat near Brittany and Santana.

Spencer eyes go wide as she looks out and sees her parents surrounded by their friends. Now she's not scared to perform in front of them, it's just so knows that they are going to embarrass her. Her parents can be embarrassing enough let alone when their friends who are basically her aunts and uncles, are around.

"Welcome everyone to this episode of Kids Cooking. We have four kids competing for the chance of winning twenty five thousand dollars in college scholarships." the host says listing off the other three kids who's names are Judy, Maya and Charles until he comes to Spencer. "And our last contestant is Spencer Lopez-Pierce who is the daughter of none other than Brittany and Santana Lopez-Pierce. They are very successful reality show contestants who have dominated every show they have been on."

Spencer steps forward and takes a bow. Santana smirks at how well her daughter is playing to the cameras while Brittany just shakes her head.

"I'm going kick everyone's ass." Spencer says in a very Santana way.

Quinn leans over to Brittany. "She's just like San."

"She has her confidence." Brittany whispers, leaning over to give her wife a kiss on the cheek.

"Our challenge is to make a dish with chicken." the host tells them. "You'll have two hours to create your dishes. Judging you will be Rachael Ray, Sofia Carson and Bobby Flay. One of you will be declared the winner."

The kids move to their stations and the clock starts. Spencer turns on the oven and starts grabbing the ingredients that she'll need. She's planning on making Orange Chicken and Lemon Chicken with fried rice. It's a dish she loves to make and knows she can easily make in the two our time limit. She starts by making the orange sauce along with lemon sauce. She makes them from scratch just like her grandma taught her.

"What is she making?" Santana whispers to her wife.

"I'm not sure, maybe Orange Chicken. You know she loves to make that for us." Brittany whispers back.

"I always thought you ordered that." Santana says staring at her daughter in awe.

"How is that you notice if anyone so much as speaks to your wife but don't know that your daughter can cook?" Rachel asks more in awe that Santana can be so blind.

"Please Santana only notices what she perceives as threats to her family. Otherwise she's like a dude, clueless on other things." Quinn says sighing.

"Hey I notice things." Santana counters.

"You sure do honey." Brittany says patting her leg and giving Quinn a look of you're right.

Spencer finishes up putting all the ingredients in the sauces and puts them on the burners at a low temperature. She moves on to making fried rice.

"With only an hour left it looks like Spencer is behind the other three contestants." the host says as he talks about what it looks like the contestants are making.

It was decided not to talk to the kids while they are cooking since it might be very distracting for them.

"Is he insulting my daughter?" Santana growls.

"No Santana, he's just stating what he thinks is true." Rachel says even though both Brittany and Quinn are shaking their heads, mouthing no.

"He's insulting my daughter!" Santana says much louder.

Brittany tackles her wife, kissing her deeply to calm her down.

Spencer who is moving right along with her cooking, looks up when she hears her mami and frowns. Of course, her mami is making a scene. Thankfully her mama distracts her mami.

"Get it on hot mama's." Puck comments only to be slapped by first Quinn, then Rachel and Kurt.

"Get your head out the gutter Puckerman." Quinn growls.

Brittany and Santana move to sit up again and pay attention back to the cooking.

"I didn't realize Spencer was such a good cook." Kurt says to Brittany.

"She likes to hide her talents that aren't "cool" much like San." Brittany says smiling at the thought.

Kurt smiles at this knowing exactly what Brittany is talking about.

Spencer is now cooking the chicken before putting the sauces over the chicken to finish cooking. When the timer goes off Spencer has just finished plating her food. She's positive that she's going to win. Her chicken is amazing and the fried rice is delicious.

"What if they don't like it?" Rachel whispers to Quinn.

Brittany and Santana have stood up and are on the rail, so excited for their daughter so they don't hear this conversation.

"Shh, be careful. We don't want Santana to hear you say that." Kurt says glancing over to see them too busy watching their daughter to overhear them.

"Please, San's too busy right now." Quinn says to Kurt before turning to her wife. "San will lose it. We'll see Snix make an appearance."

"I'm hoping for that. This show has been way too tame." Puck says smirking.

"Well hopefully Santana doesn't get us kicked out." Rachel comments.

"Oh please, if there's one guarantee it's that Santana will get us kicked out if Spencer loses." Kurt tells them.

"She can be volatile when she feels her family has been wronged." Mercedes agrees. "Maybe we should try to make it seem like we're not with her."

"Everyone already knows we're with her." Quinn says. "Our best bet is that Brittany keeps her in line."

Down on the floor, the judges are getting ready to try Spencer's Orange and Lemon Chicken with Fried Rice.

"Okay next up is Spencer Lopez-Pierce's Orange and Lemon Chicken with Fried Rice." the host says. "Do you want to tell us a little about the dish?"

"My grandma taught me how to make this as it's my mama's favorite dish and my mami loves it too. When I heard chicken was our challenge I knew I wanted to make Orange and Lemon Chicken. I made the sauces from scratch first as they involve more before making a simple fried rice with carrots, eggs and peas. I finished off cooking the chicken before adding the sauces halfway through so the sauce would seep in but not have the chicken drowned in it." Spencer tells them.

The judges take a taste of each kind of chicken and the fried rice before commenting.

"While I like the Orange Chicken, the lemon sauce needs something a little more sweet in it and the Fried Rice is missing something. I would have added some more vegetables." Rachel Ray says causing Santana to growl in the stands.

"Calm down San," Brittany softly says. "They're paid to critic the food."

"I don't care, no one insults our daughter." Santana growls.

"I loved Chicken, both sauces had just the right amount of kick to them. I didn't like the Fried Rice, but that's partially because I don't really like Fried Rice." Sofia says which calms Santana down.

"Now that's more like it." Santana huffs.

"Your sauces are a good start for someone so young. They need some fine-tuning though. Your orange sauce needs to be a bit sweeter and a little less orangey. And your lemon sauce needs to be a bit more lemony." Bobby says before continuing. "The fried rice was very good; the only thing I can say is that you could add a few more vegetables to it. For a chicken challenge this was okay, but needs a lot of work."

Santana is just about ready to completely lose it when Spencer beats her too the punch.

"Hey loser, you come down and make something in two hours at the age of thirteen! Asshole!" Spencer shouts. "And don't insult my family. That recipe has been passed down from my grandma!"

Spencer tries to leap onto the judges table, but Brittany after depositing Santana with Quinn made it down in time to stop her.

"Calm down honey." Brittany says pulling her back. "Sorry about her, she's very competitive like my wife."

The host and judges all nod as Brittany pulls her daughter out the studio while their friends get her wife out.

"We'll that went as well as can be expected." Brittany says staring at her wife and daughter who both are pouting.

"We didn't do anything wrong." Spencer says looking over at her mami.

"Yeah honey, it was all those idiot judges fault for insulting the family." Santana adds.

Brittany rolls her eyes but gives in, giving them a smile. "I love you two even though you often frustrate me."
