Chapter 25-Panic
Clarke was checking Emma as Connor brought another one of the hundred in. "Ok. We're done. No visible signs of swelling or bleeding," Clarke says.
"So you're saying she doesn't have it?" Billy asks.
"I'm saying she doesn't have symptoms, but that could change. We need to keep her here just in case," Clarke says. Billy nods
"I have a better idea. Emma, go find Lincoln and find out if there is a cure for this," Billy tells his sister, who nods as she leaves. Clarke looks at him and nods. Billy leaves the dropship and walks over to Murphy. Murphy looks at him.
"What?" Murphy asks.
"When you have a chance, I need you to kill Drax. He's a danger and needs to be dealt with," Billy tells his friend, who nods agreeing.
Emma walks into Lincoln's cave. "Lincoln," Emma says. She looks around. Lincoln walks over and checks her. "You knew?" Emma asks
"I tried to get you out of there. You not see the flower?" Lincoln asks.
"I saw it right before I found the kid your people sent to infect us. People are dying, Lincoln. Billy sent me here for the cure," Emma says. Lincoln shakes his head.
"There is no cure," Lincoln says as he turns his back towards her.
"So you were just gonna let my people die? You were gonna let me die?" Emma asks as she moves closer to him.
"The sickness passes quickly. Few are immune. We use it to soften the battlefield. I'm not surprised you are one of the strong ones. I'm sure your brother will also be one of the strong ones," Lincoln says as he holds her face.
"The battlefield?" Emma asks.
"They attack at first light," Lincoln tells her.
"You're gonna have to help me save them," Emma says.
"I can't. I tried. My people think I'm a traitor now," Lincoln tells her.
"Because of the bridge? You were just trying to make peace," Emma says.
"It's not the bridge," Lincoln says. Emma looks at him for a moment before she realizes what he is saying.
"Because of me," Emma says. Lincoln nods.
"That doesn't matter now. I'm leaving, Emma, right now. I want you to come with me," Lincoln says.
"And go where?" Emma asks.
"East, to the sea, then across it. There's a clan, allies of the woods. They'll take us," Lincoln says.
"I can't just let my brother and friends get killed," Emma says.
"There is nothing you can do to stop that now," Lincoln tells her.
"I can warn them," Emma says.
"Emma, they'll kill you if you're there at dawn," Lincoln says.
"Give me a little bit. Just wait for me here. Let me decide," Emma says to Lincoln, who nods as he grabs her and kisses her. Emma leaves.
Murphy and Wells carry out a body and set it down. Billy and Clarke look at the bodies. "Alright, show is over. Get back to your posts," Billy says. Everybody nods. Billy turns to Clarke. "You got enough food in there? Water?" Billy asks.
"Yeah. Some medicine might be nice," Clarke says. Billy smiles.
"I'll see what I can do," Billy tells her. Billy walks to one of the hundred. "Excuse me," Billy says to him and the teen looks at him. The teen was bleeding out of his eyes.
"Dude, your eyes," One of the hundred says. Bellamy comes over.
"Nobody touches him," Bellamy says.
"Get to the dropship now," Billy says. One of the hundred falls beside Raven and coughs up blood. Everybody starts to wave guns around. Wells raises his weapon and shoots it. Everybody stops. Billy nods at his friend. "This is exactly what the grounders want. Don't you see that? They don't have to kill us if we kill each other first," Billy says.
"They won't have to kill us if we all catch the virus," The man says. Murphy grabs the gun and hits him. Clarke starts to fall. Finn grabs her. Billy starts to walk towards Clarke when he falls over. He puts his hand up to his eyes and feels blood.
"Shit," Billy says as everybody looks at him.
"There is no cure," Emma says. She looks at her brother. She starts to move toward him.
"Stay back," Billy tells her.
"The grounders don't use the sickness to kill," Emma says.
"Really? tell that to them," Bellamy says as he points at two bodies.
"They're attacking at first light," Emma says. Billy stands up. Bellamy looks at Athena.
"How many bullets can you make by first light?" Bellamy asks her. Raven walks over to Billy before he can say anything.
"Raven," Billy says.
"I can't get sick. They have Athena. Let me help you," Raven says to her boyfriend, who nods. Murphy comes over and helps to. They walk in.
"If Raven, Murphy, and Finn aren't sick by now, that means they are most likely immune like me. Drax gets up and Finn sets Clarke down. Billy sits down on another cot.
"What else did Lincoln tell you?" Billy asks as Raven wipes the blood off.
"The virus doesn't last long," Emma says.
"It's true. I feel better," Drax tells them. Billy nods to Murphy, who nods back.
"They need to stay hydrated," Clarke says. Emma hands Clarke water as Murphy grabs some for Billy, who nods at him. Drax and Murphy start to help. Billy lays down and falls asleep.
Next Chapter, I promise I will finish this episode off. So hopefully, it should be long. I know Raven and Murphy both get it in the show, but They aren't getting it in this.
