Chapter Twenty:
"A Great Admirer of Kira"

The term 'Mile High Club' was slang for a couple plus one who had sexual relations on a plane during flight. But in this case, the term was loosely used to take Raito to new heights of elation that even for a god he had no prior knowledge of.

When he observed the Human World on his perch in the Astral Plane, he mainly focused on one form of sexual interaction rather than other facets. It should have occurred to him that he was being bias. And what he experienced with Revolver and Misa went far beyond his comprehension.

He was, for the better part, a virgin in these kinds of acts. He had seen people participate in it, but he really had no interest in it.
The term for two people of the same sex and one of the opposite engaging with each other sexuality was called Bisexual.

Not all humans engaged in such activity, most had no desire to do so. But since he had no experience with it, he had no way how it would feel. Revolver was right. This was all part of the Human Experience. And surprisingly, it was not entirely unpleasant.

Revolver seemed relatively well versed in the positions of an ancient Indian text on sexuality and eroticism that evoked high levels of emotional fulfilment for which he demonstrated and shared them both equally. Obviously, this was not the first time the Shinigami had done this—to enjoy himself in the Human World.

Hours past, and Raito lost himself in delight.

When it was over, he lay next to Misa totally exhausted, sweat drenched his hair and his naked body. Misa was asleep under the covers, while he was only partially covered with a sheet hiding his lower pelvic region. His head was still spinning with the experience, but there was only the two of them now. Revolver was gone.

Making sure not to disturb Misa, he pivoted his body, planning his feet on the floor, and grabbed the nearest article of clothing, which was his underwear, boxers, and quietly left the bedroom, closing the door.

He sat down on the couch in the main room and put his hands to his face. He couldn't believe he had been manipulated so badly that he participated in what a human's called a ménage à trois, where three people had sex together.

And it proved that even he, a god, could be infallible to basic, animalistic desires.

Revolver looked like Light Yagami on the surface, but he also acted like him on a mental level. Light Yagami knew how to get what he wanted and he used everything at his disposal. The god of death used his timely experience to trick an inexperienced supernatural entity to override his natural instincts and to participate in an act that was completely foreign to him. Revolver acted more like a devil that a Shinigami. Shinigami were normally just observers.

Raito felt sick just thinking about it.

Revolver used his own weakness against him—his secret lust for Misa Amane.

But what was his purpose in doing so? He was attached to the human that murdered Gretel Grimm. He explained how he used his handler to kill Dragoon and to collect his Death Note for the Evangelist. But Raito still didn't know why Revolver came to Light's apartment.

Raito snapped his head up and his eyes widened with a frightening thought. He then raced back into the bedroom, and opened the door to the walk-in closet, the very same closet he had investigated when he first arrived here where he found Light's hidden stash of designer clothes, watches, and his Death Note.

He pushed back a hanger full a designer clothes and removed a secret panel in the wall that blended perfectly within that Dragoon had not discovered when he searched the place just before conducting his interrogations of the entire Kira Task Force as part of an investigation into their continued funding by the ICPO and DIET.

He found the secret hidden place and it was empty. The Death Note gone! After he had passed out, exhausted by exertion, Revolver must have entered the closet and stole Light's Death Note. To top it off, all of Light's designer watches were gone, too!
He dropped to his butt and planted his face into his face. "Damn it! I was manipulated by a god of death, slept with Misa, and lost the Death Note. Light is going to be pissed! I was supposed to protect him, but look at the mess I've created."

He heard stirring from the bedroom and then Misa moaning. He panicked, gasped.

"Ow!" he heard her complain. "Owww!"

Raito turned towards the partially open closet door, but stayed sitting on the floor. He was too ashamed and too embarrassed to leave, even if Misa needed help. And at the moment, he felt that he should even abandon his whole human experiment pursuit and return to the Astral Plane to lick his wounds.

But he knew he couldn't do that, he had to rescue Light. Raito was the reason for all the recent trouble directed at Light. He didn't know the full extent of the Evangelist's agenda, but what he did know was he had to set things right.

"Oh, boy…Why does my body feel so achy? And my head feel like it just got run over by a semi truck?" Misa lamented. "I don't remember drinking that much last night. Ah! Why Am I naked? And why do the sheets feel so sticky and sweaty? I don't remember getting into bed this way? I don't remember getting into bed at all. Only that I came home from my movie shoot."

Raito stood up. Eventually he would have to face the music and he wanted to get it over with sooner rather than later. He opened the door fully. Misa gasped shocked, she even opened her mouth to scream. But didn't.

"Raito! What the hell?" She pulled the covers over herself completely when she saw him in only his boxers. "What were you doing in the closet? Where are your clothes?"

Her eyes widened as if a thought occurred to her, a shocking, almost distressing one. "Oh, my, god! How much did I have to drink last night? Oh my god! Oh my god!" With the last 'Oh my god!' she slipped completely underneath the covers, including her head. "Please tell me what I think happened didn't happen?"

Raito said nothing. In truth, he didn't know what to tell her.

She peeked her head out from the covers and looked at him. "I distinctly remember Light being home and greeting me at the door. Oh my god—you pervert! Did you somehow drug me to have sex with you?" Her eyes widen in a vague introspective remembrance. She dropped underneath the covers again. "Oh my god! Did we have sex?" Her voice was muffled and panicky. "Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh! My! God!"

"Please stop saying, 'Oh my god! Let me explain." He gathered his clothes for the floor.

"Explain things? We had…Oh my god! LIGHT!" she screamed out. "LIGHT! Get your pervy cousin out of our home!"

You have a gull to call me that? After some of the things you did last night?

"Misa, please take it easy," Raito said. "You need to know—"

"No, I don't need to. You took advantage of me in a moment of weakness. I yearned for Light when I came home. Somehow you tricked me into thinking you were him. I don't know how, but it makes the most sense. There are aroma drugs out there that can stimulate sexual pheromones to extreme heights of desire. You must have slipped me something, or drugged me. Get out of my bedroom! I'm going to tell Light about this and make you sorry!" She looked up from under the covers again. "GET OUT!"

"Stop jumping to conclusions! I did no such thing!"

He noticed the small round glass jar of pheromones that was on the nightside table next to Misa's bed was gone. Revolver must have taken it with him. He obviously had this planned. No doubt in order to steal the Death Note. That was his reason.

"Don't think I didn't notice you looking at me when I was with Light," she said. "I notice a lot more than you think."

Raito was taken back dumbfounded.

How? Oh yes…I made Misa believe I have been with the Kira Task Force for a while now just like I did with the others. And memories I invented were implanted in her consciousness for which she is now using against me in jealousy and scorn.

Raito put on and zipped up his pants, then his shirt. "Look, I don't know what you think you think you know, but you have the wrong idea," he said. He liked her, but he knew how devoted she was to Light and she would never knowingly betray him. No wonder she was so appalled. "There's a few things I need to explain to you about all this, but I'm not sure how."

"There's nothing to explain. You raped me!"

The insult was the last straw.

He stormed over and pinned her down on the bed. She struggled, but he held a firm grip. "Now stop it and listen to me! I wish it hadn't come to this, but things must be brought out into the open to clear the air and for my name to be cleared." He took a breath. "I know all about Shinigami and the Death Note, okay? Light told me everything in confidence. And something happened between us that involved a god of death. We were tricked."

It was a lie. But it was the only way to explain things simply for the time being without going into further detail. Misa stopped. She just stared at him, looking into his eyes, and asked the question: "You do? W-what happened?"

"Something wrong," he said. "I know everything about the Death Note and that Light has been masquerading as Kira for a while now, while heading up the Kira Task Force and sabotaging their efforts to find him. When I learned about it I was shocked, but I quickly accepted it." Another lie to simplify things. "Kira has done a lot of good in the world."

"You know that Light moonlights as Kira and it's okay with you that he kills criminals?"

"He's also killed people who are not criminals, Misa. But I am a great admirer of Kira. I know Light has a plan and he's executing it well. When I learned my cousin was Kira, I got excited. Light told me in confidence because he said he needed help. He said that you help him a lot, but he needs more allies, and people the task force will not suspect. Criminals are hiding in the shadows and Light needs a way to get to them. But he's always being watched and it's hard to for him to move. He needs to extend his reach, so he brought me into the fold."

"You joined the task force to catch Kira, but now you want to help Light as Kira? I'm shocked. Light knows that killing is wrong, but the world needs a change, and I agree with him. That's why I agreed to join him in his plight to achieve his grand agenda."

"The world is better off without some degenerates," Raito spoke honestly. "Think of it like a worldwide pandemic but where only those who are detrimental to human kind are targeted. Everyone else who wishes to live peacefully is spared. Granted, Light can't get to everyone. But he keeps trying despite the opposition and the resistance. That's why he needs us to help him get out of jams. Such as conflicts with certain too-curious-for-their own-good detective's. Light appreciates how you've helped him."

They stared at each other for a moment without speaking a word. Raito urged to taste those lovely lips of hers once again, but now was not the time to indulge in such fantasies. He got off her and sat on the edge of the bed.

He thought for a second, then decided it was best to explain everything to her of what took place here.

When he was finished, Misa looked like she was about to cry.

"I'm sorry," he said. "I was duped by a Shinigami. Revolver, the trickster that he is, said he would kill you if I didn't participate in his twisted three-way love fest." He casted his eyes away abashed. "I am so sorry, Misa."

Misa suddenly chuckled. "Oh, that's juicy," she mocked.

"Huh?" He looked back at her surprised. "What do you mean?"

"Forgive me," Misa said chuckling under her breath. She leaned up against the back headrest with her legs folded in and the bed sheet up to the neck. "Just the thought of you and Light, even though it wasn't really him, together makes for an interesting image. I've never been with two guys before. I've seen videos online, even two guys getting it on together, but never in person. If they're cute, it works."

She winked and smiled devilishly. "Oh, I wish I could remember it."

"Huh?" Oh, that's just twisted even after everything that has gone down.

Raito mentally sighed. With all that out of the way now, but his secret as a god from the Astral Plane still intact, things could now move forwards. It was best not to tell her everything yet. Only Light knew who he truly was.

Raito went to button his shirt when he noticed he had accidentally put it on inside out in his haste to dress in front Misa. He took it off and went to put it on properly.

"Hey Raito," Misa said. "What's that mark on your lower back?"

Ratio turned his head and tried to see what Misa referred to. He saw something, but not clearly. She explained it as a black triangle with a red crucifix positioned proportionately in the middle.

Misa began to get dressed. Out of respect, he didn't look—at first. But he couldn't help take a peak at her naked form as her back was turned. She had a lovely, perfectly formed butt. Just like a juicy apple.

Wearing only a tight pair of black panties and a short cut-off shirt that barely covered her ample breasts—it was so tight it showcased her nipples—leaving her sexy stomach exposed, Raito gulped nervously, when she said it was okay for him to turn around. Her lack of clothes made him blush. Even though he had already seen her naked and did racy things to her but under an intoxicated influence, how she looked now aroused him to the point that he had to cover the front of his pants with his hands. He balled his shirt up to cover his excitement. The reaction was involuntary. He tried to think of something else.

Misa picked up her phone and scrolled through a few search engines. "I've seen that symbol before," she said. "Light had me do some research on the occults and mysticism—for which I'm prolific in, I know where all the best websites are—after he learned of some group called the League of Darkness and their involvement with the Death Note. They claim to be involved in vampirism on line. Drinking blood isn't illegal, but it can lead to a lot of diseases. Anyway, Light's friend Demetre Draycott was or maybe still is a member of another cult that crossed-paths with the them at one point. The LOD is an off-shoot of the Savant Society, Light says. But only those with inside knowledge and how to get that information know that. Like me. But Light told me all about them after his encounter with Demetre on the top of the Kira Task Force building a year or so back. And from what he told me, their involvement in vampirism is a lie. They are Death Note enthusiasts."

Raito nodded. He knew that already.

He knew the history behind Light and Demetre and how their once deep friendship crumbled after Light murdered Demetre's grandfather, that then followed the death of Demetre's lover Dana Chika by Zurn Wellington, a member of the League of Darkness, who killed her in revenge against Demetre for interfering in his plans to murder Light using an assassin that Demetre stopped to save Light.
Misa showed him her phone screen with the symbol. "It's the symbol for a recluse religious cult leader who calls himself the Evangelist," she said. "He has his own private island and even an impressive citadel, according to reports—no pictures are known to exist—somewhere in the South China Seas within an archipelago. Rumour has it, he even has his own private holy army. He does sermons weekly and he has thousands of followers. Like Kira. Only Light doesn't preach. He just lays down the law. That's why I love him so much, because he knows what he wants and just does it. And he can do me anytime."

Raito cleared his throat. "You have the same symbol or tattoo on your lower back," he said.

"I figured as much. We've both been branded like cattle or notches on a bedpost by this Shinigami who probably belongs to the Evangelist. I thought they were only interested in taking lifespans and to be entertained. But why mark us? I wonder how many more he's done this to? That macho-centric pig! This makes me so mad! When Light finds out, he's going to be infuriated!"

She tossed her phone onto the bed and grumbled.

Raito put up a hand. "Hold up, Misa. Let's not tell Light, okay? What happened isn't something that should be shared. We were both victims of that Shinigami's insatiable intentions. I'm sure we can do something about these symbols, too. If the Shinigami put them here, then he can remove them." Or, I can—but later. It make me upset he was able to do this to me.

Misa cocked her head. "Raito, you shouldn't be embarrassed. You should be mad. To most people, this would crack them like an egg. They would no into an emotional crying fit. But not me, because I'm strong. Yes, we were violated. And we shouldn't demean the act. I was only frantic at first because I thought you drugged and seduced me. I've only known you for a short time. I'm sorry I jumped the gun. If we did do something together, then we accept it. But we must stick together as survivors." Misa balled first into the sheets. "Don't get mad, get even. That's my motto!"

"I can agree with that," Raito said.

"Has Light told you about Rem?"

Raito nodded. "And Gelus," he recounted. "You survived a vicious knife attack by an obsessive fan when Gelus, who liked you, wrote down your assailant's name, which caused his demise according to what Light told me. And, the death of your parents during a break and enter at your family home. It had a profound effect on you. Kira later punished the culprits."

Misa smiled. "And that's why I'm a survivor, because even after all that I'm still here. And fighting! I'm stronger than I look." She mused. "Um, I think you're right, though. Let's not tell Light about this. Let's keep it between us. He won't take it well if he learned you docked your shuttle in my port of entry."

Raito rolled his eyes.

"I'm not as smart as Light, but I'll be damn if I'll let what Revolver did to us slide."

"What do you have in mind?"

Misa smiled devilishly. "Trust me, I'll think of something. And I know someone who may be willing to help us. We've been chatting online for months now. He likes video games, especially RPG's, and he has an in-depth knowledge of light weaponry and related military-grade hardwire. I forget how we got to know each other, but I think he likes me. Don't tell Light."

She reached for her phone.
